I’ve been quiet, because I’ve been angry. The political events of the past four days have made me seriously reconsider options for correction. The politically motivated arrest of U.S. President Donald Trump is a line crossed I never thought we would experience in our lifetime.
We have watched international politics with a semi-detached view; at least, I will admit that I have. Watching, looking at arrests of political opponents from the safety of our devices and the comfort of reference points that always seemed distant, over there, certainly not here.
Perhaps, just perhaps, globalism has hit that metastatic phase where every cell and every organ in our global world is now being attacked by a virus no longer contained at origin; I don’t know. What I do know is that our landscape has changed; where we stand as a nation is entirely different, yet we seemingly never moved an inch.
It’s almost like we are standing on a stage and the backdrop changed behind us. If we take a national selfie, everything looks completely different. When I look at the resulting picture, I do not like this image of myself, this place, this perspective, and yet… I am exactly the same.
Life has taught me the best thing to do when I feel a sense of rage is to get quiet. Prudence and wisdom teach you to lower the blood flow, evaluate the external and proceed with caution, because the action that flows from the rage mindset generates collateral damage. Serious collateral damage. So, I shut down, walk away, turn my eyes to the truest of all true things, and pray.
There was a time when mules were of great value in the creation of what sustains all human community life. Mules that pulled ploughshares were evaluated with a level of discernment that would rival modern NFL drafts.
Entire communities, often spread miles apart, knew the strength of each other person’s mules. Auctions would bring people from great distances, and there were quiet men of great knowledge who understood the invisible traits that qualified the best mules.
The best, the absolute best, were held with a regard even more valuable than the land they walked. The remarkable thing about these mules was their diversity in physical appearance. Ultimately, what made the great mules of such value was the part that could not be seen, the part the quiet men looked for.
Those mules were like the men who recognized them, and the crowd would whisper to each other in muted tones as they watched the subtle yet deliberate movement of the quiet men with great intensity. Words would be spoken of a silent language that would take place between the quiet men and the mules afore them. There was something invisible being measured and evaluated. Eventually, decisions were made.
The hands behind the plows were ultimately the beneficiaries of the advice from the quiet men, and those calloused hands would become quiet men themselves in later years.
When the collar reached the shoulder, the best mules did not need instruction, they knew what came next. The silent language that transferred from the auction to the destination continued. Over time, the hands atop the plow and the mule became of one purpose. This is when the legends of some mules began.
The best mules had something within them that resolved to the task at hand. The scale and scope of the topsoil was the canvas, but the raw and often harsh task at hand was the real challenge. For some lesser mules the effort required in new ground was too much, but for the best it was just another day; although perhaps a day of week, or month when the bone structure formed the shape of the collar.
The hands upon the plow tested the ability of the mule. It had to be done dispassionately if the family was to achieve success, and ultimately if the community were to thrive.
When the blade was moved a degree deeper, the collar pulled just that much tighter – deeper. The best mules knew what those sensations implied. There were times for looking forward, but when the resistance was the strongest, these were not those times. At these times the mules looked down at only the two feet in front of them, and they focused on those two feet, and then the next, and then the next…. until they felt the pressure subside. Then it was time to turn.
There were lands where no mules could succeed – miles of square acres containing buried rock and dirt compacted over centuries, long before humans started apportioning it. However, there were some mules who had the capability to move that soil, plow through those rocks, and with nothing more than brute force create the opportunity for harvest. This is what the quiet men were looking for. These were the silent questions exchanged.
I think about those quiet mules returning to their stables as the sun dropped, and the feeling of the straps being scraped across the back as they are removed. I think about that silent message as the farmers hand touches the side of the neck with great appreciation. I wonder if the approval connects to the determination that will follow at sunrise. Is this the trait the quiet men were looking for? Is determination the invisible language within that interview, an auction now long in the past? I think it was.
The events of the past several weeks have shown us there are harsh landscapes ahead. We are traveling to places that have never been contemplated. We are witnessing things accepted that were always out of bounds. There are no boundaries in this new place. This land is hard, and it will take quiet men with callouses to guide us through it.
It is time for the old mules to revisit the legend of their kin.
It is time for the counsel of quiet men.
It is a time to remember the purpose of that old collar hanging on the wall.
It is a time for that unspoken language to be understood.
It is time for the old mules to take lead and plow the terrain.

Years a go was in Greece, Santorini. You arrived on a cruise ship, got off and then you were handed mules to walk up the deep slope to Santorini. I couldn’t do it. The mules were old, looked unfed and in need of water and a good rest. Couldn’t do it. I took the rein and walked with the mule to the top. There is a time to not rely on mules or anyone else. Take the rein, stand up and not surrender to the easy way. Trump is old and likely tired of all this but he is leading us into a future we must grasp hold on to and out do these bastards.

I still maintain that President Trump’s focus and message in the 2024 Presidential election must be POLICY, POLICY, POLICY, and not be distracted into Culture Wars. President Trump can run a campaign of policies consistent with Nat Con values, without getting into the weeds in debates of those values.
However, that does not mean that the Culture War should be abandoned. What it means is that the Culture War is OUR responsibility. WE must battle it out locally, day by day, at our dinner tables, in local elections, over coffee with friends, in discussions not debates, in conversations not arguments, never ceding the high ground of truth, logic, and civility.
There are indeed many acres of rocky fields to plow between now and November 5, 2024. We will prevail, just as we did in 2016, one changed mind at a time.

Personally, I think his campaign is going perfectly, and he is balancing policy and culture “argument” just perfectly, like a tightrope walker.
I agree dutchman. POTUS Trump turned lemons into lemonade this week, crushed the RNC debates and took in 7 mil in donations in 24 hours. Such an inspiration with his tenacity.
I disagree that voting is useless and am getting involved to do my part that votes in my area are monitored.
We are descendants of the Greatest Generation and we are weak and despicable. We are afraid of becoming uncomfortable while we slowly cook like frogs in a pot. Every day we rationalize our inaction by responding to posts like this instead of gathering in MASSIVE numbers in D.C. MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of Americans are needed for weeks and months on end and not just 10,000 or a hundred thousand for a day or two. It worked to stop the war in Vietnam because politicians got scared and media couldn’t ignore what was happening on the streets of D.C. It can work again. It’s the only peaceful way we have left. This requires people who aren’t in the vicinity of D.C. to join the protest too. No one gets to sit back and do nothing because they live in Ohio or Alabama or Nevada. This effort doesn’t need moral support. Instead it requires committed people who truly give a hoot. (P.S. this has always been what’s needed, but no one wants to make any effort. We reap what we sow.)

In any such protest effort, the more you ask each participant to do, the lower the participation.
Such public protestsas you describe, firstly would not get the kind of participation you anticipate, or that we need.
More basically, WE ARE THE MAJORITY.
If we simply stay home from work, keep our kids home from school, and DON’T BUY ANYTHING, the system will be on the verge of collapse, within two weeks.
And, it doesn’t even require 100% participation, to collapse the system.
Go ahead and pay “bills”; rent/mortgage, Insurance, car payments, utilities, medications.
Just do not purchase any “consumables”; no trip to grocery store, no orders to Walmart.com or Amazon, etc.
If anything over 20-25% of households did this, the system is stressed way beyond what it can handle.

All we are asking people to do, is stay home, spend time with their families in fellowship and prayer.

This is not an effective use of time, resources, or energy. The cost of doing what you suggest is astronomical unless one lives nearby and can commute every day. The logistics are horrendous. All the authorities would have to do is let us wallow in our filth and we’d be decimated by disease.
Beyond that many Americans are living check to check, or are older and less mobile, and simply cannot attend.

No, not really. Here’s a thought to ponder: Recall the Trucker Strike” in Canada?
Canadians of all stripes participated in local peaceful gatherings and especially on the highway overpasses to urge the Truckers on. That effort by millions of Canadians was inspirational and sent a strong message.
Folks can peacefully protest any day of the week by simply attending a nearby busy street and quietly stand (or sit if disabled) with their American Flag.
If enough of us do these random individual protests, two things and perhaps more will occur:
Others will be aware of the fact that we are many, and over time others will join in . Also, these organic pop-up demonstrations are not broadcast, limiting authorities ability to know about and plan to infest, subvert, or otherwise.
Dispersing demonstrations all over the country makes enforcement actions untenable, while going to D.C. makes it like shooting fish in a barrel.
They are random and dispersed, and most importantly, will give us an opportunity to meet our local “fellow travelers.”
This battle will be won or lost in every locality in this country. These mini demonstrations will help to grow local networks and let locals plan their further efforts outside of the glare of the internet.
Going to D.C. is as foolhardy as the US trying to fight Russia on their turf. Insanity.
Further, 1 million marchers equals less than 0.3% of our nation. Not enough to benefit from the vast pool of resources the American public can wield locally. Dispersing the protest Nationwide allows many to participate who would otherwise not have had any ability to join a million man march.
Encouraging it organically every day everywhere vastly expands the options for participation.
All we need are folks to start doing this in their areas to spark a trend.
So, I do disagree with Dutch on the idea of hunkering down. Perhaps slowing our economic participation as he suggests is effective, (although that seems to be exactly what the totalitarians in D.C. WANT us to do anyway).
The simple, efficient approach: We need to stand proud in public. Wherever we may be.
When nobody can go about their business without encountering a peaceful demonstration, we will be ROARING.
We have power in numbers, and this allows our numbers to grow and be known.
Perhaps the movement is sparked by an organized and publicized “Day of Protest”.
Any thoughts regarding how to move this forward are appreciated.

5G is a BIG piece of their One World puzzle. I believe they use it to track our movements. But 5G can also emit frequencies that grind all activity to a halt, if not outright fry our brains, like poor Otto Warmbier.
So centralized gatherings are probably not prudent, not with the advent of 5G technology. Widespread, decentralized peaceful activity would be preferable.
I always keep a wary eye on 5G “cages.”
Difficult for the young, but many if us remember when we didn’t need a phone on our hip 24/7.

I don’t agree with “Trump is hardly a paragon of virture.” True in his young life he lived what might be called a playboy lifestyle and the endings of his first two marriages were messy. He also apparently engaged in locker talk.
But nowadays all those things could be said of many people. So PT in this sense is likely average and we don’t need to measure him being a paragon of virture or not. I heard him say that if he’d known he was going to run for office someday, he might have done a few things differently. I think we all can say we could have done a few things differently.
Yet looking again, how many people can say they build a billion dollar fortune in three businesses/industries and they were “audited” for seven years by the DOJ and FBI and found to be squeaky clean? I can only think of one. Perhaps there are others, though I doubt it. From my experience working in large companies, virture isn’t exactly what most people practice.
Then we could look again at his family. His parents were fine people and his father built a great business as well. And did you see the post about his Uncle John Trump? (See open.ink.) Not many families can claim a heritage like his.
Then look at his kids. As far as I can see they are all stars in their worlds, including Barron who is apparently thriving. How many people do you know who have four such amazing kids?
I’m not denigrating anything your family or mine might achieve or our families being any less than his. I’m making the point that what PT has achieved is remarkable.
Yet another way to look at PT is in comparison with other leaders. Does anyone doubt the corruption and graft that old man Bush, the Clintons, Obama, and the Bidens have been feeding off for years? Then there are backstabbing liars like Pence and the idiot DeGoofus who are also now trying to get a piece of the graft. I could go on and on with names like Pelosi, but well, everyone knows these people are among the dregs of humanity.

What I meant to say was that unlike Noah who took up the Call, Trump was (prior to 2016) more identified with the antics portrayed on air or the Billy Bush quotes–the public persona was carefully cultivated to be the rich playboy. Living in NY, I never saw Trump as an outsider simply because he was a successful developer in the most sleazy sandbox in the world–New York real estate.
He was an outsider who knew who to contribute to and after re-reading “The Art of the Deal”, it’s clear that while men like Upchuck Schumer came to beg him for contributions, he knew how to waltz them into doing things his way 9 out of 10 times.
It’s not blind obedience for me….his street cred has earned him my respect and loyalty.

I heard on talk radio here in Las Vegas a person who reported that PT was respectful to “ordinary” people in New York (as opposed to people he might need to impress). I don’t remember the details now, so this likely counts as gossip, but what I heard lined up with how PT lives his life now, his caring about people. I heard Melania say that what he wants is to help people and I’m certain that is true, and also completely unique!

It must have been challening to grow up on two coasts with such a famous father and four half siblings, and a mother involved on the fringes of moviestar land. I was more than impressed with her becoming an attorney and also for a couple of speeches she gave.

A few weeks ago, I was in Lancaster County, PA, to see an Amish man about a dog.
As I turned off the narrow gravel road and headed down the long dirt driveway that lead to his farm, I encountered a huge mule monitoring my approach.
It was a magnificent animal.
It had been years since I had seen a mule, let alone one as fine as this one.
The slender soft spoken man at the end of the drive seemed to match the mule, not in physical strength or size, but in a type of quiet strength you don’t usually see these days.
As kids growing up (lonnggg time ago) – when we asked an adult – “where are you going”. Answer was always –
“going to see a man about a dog” – *Amish* just added more laughter for me :):)

I actually was there to see about a dog.
Apparently the Amish are big into breeding dogs.
He told me that the dairy farm was his primary source of income and the dogs were his secondary source.
It was an interesting experience and beautiful country.

Those Mennonite farms are beautiful a green with shade trees and neat homes. German is spoken complete with simple stores and restaurants that serve great German food. On a mission trip we experienced this first hand. The people were curious about us and asked many questions. Very kind and gave some history about how their community came to be. What a surprise!

How many times did God’s people face insurmountable earthly odds, but God informed them that this was a battle between spiritual forces foremost, and instructed them with a course of action–often against earthly reason–but which proved to secure the victory?
Later in history, we saw Jesus doing the same on an individual basis, offering unusual courses of action for the sick or handicapped that nevertheless–when followed faithfully–produced the same healing and wholeness we all desire. “Your faith has made you well.”
PRAY, and ask God what He wants YOU to do. Take responsibility only for yourself, and trust God to bring others to stand beside you.
We know that any “organizing” of the resistant masses will not be accomplished via Facebook or X or the treehouse. Do you believe God can instruct and organize without technology? If not, in what then is your hope?
And when you ask God what He wants you to do, we must each have our heart set to follow through accordingly, whatever the cost. We may leave this earth as faithful martyrs to a rapacious and Godless Babylon… but we might find ourselves hugging each other in joy and amazement on the far shore of a now placid-surfaced Sea of Reeds.
God will choose how and when to judge His enemies and bring this chapter to a conclusion. It’s on us to be on the side of the eventual winner, the coming King, Jesus the Christ whose enemies God will make his footstool. Pick a winner, and stay true.

According to Judge Napolitano a state does not need to ask for permission from any other state or the federal government.
Despite what you have heard the Supreme Court has not ruled that secession is illegal.
Just my opinion, but from how I see the global chessboard, either a bloodless secession or actual civil war would each work just as well to achieve the desired ends of the globalists (earthly and otherwise).

There’s a lot of redundancy in this reset planning. Each intermediate objective is achievable via a variety of means, and each means seems poised and readied. They only have to agree on what to use when and where.

Well, wait one darn minute: I’m 54 and I remember well a time when there were no cell phones, no internet, no recording appliances i the home. I learned to type on a typewriter that if dropped on your foot would cause a fracture. My teen years were spent using a ROTARY phone and–shocker–I survived and am probably the last generation that can say we spent VERY LITTLE time on said rotary phone. The most sophisticated technology in my home growing up was a remote control to a TV set that only gave us 4 channels, all of which went off the air at some hour in the early morning. I remember days of canning everything we could before the MN winter moved in. Cards and board games were a staple in our lives–as was the camaraderie with neighbors who were invited to play along. And we not only survived, but we thrived.
My point: we are not generations removed from old mules and a way of life that was free of the technology that controls and surveils every minute and action of life. Look around and see what you can do without–do you need the talking refrigerator, the auto-vacuum cleaner, the ability to access and control everything from your phone? Can you read a map? Do you have one in your home, or is it all on your phone? I remember a life of a high degree of self-sufficiency, as do many of you, and I fight to be as self-sufficient as I can. I still write down directions and take a paper list of items needed to the grocery store (yep, I leave the phone behind intentionally). I can as much of my food as possible. I sew simple items (never was a good enough seamstress to make my own clothes ;-)). I have a well-used library card and a stack of books to read at the ready all the times. And I live to tell the tale.
We will probably have to return to a simpler life and make huge sacrifices to defeat the evil that has come and is coming our way. For those of us with memories and experiences of a life without much of the current technology, we have the comfort of knowing we have and can survive without it again if we have to. Pity the young lives who know nothing of such simplicity and freedom….

Retired Magistrate here: My parents were two of those old mules. They were born right after World War I and experienced the Great Depression and World War II. My father had scarlet fever and then TB and spent a year in a sanatorium. He and Mom had just gotten married when he was diagnosed with TB. The treatment for TB back then was x ray treatment, high doses of radiation right to his lungs. When he was 50 he had most of the skin removed from his back due to skin cancer. Doctors did skin grafts from his leg to his back. From the time I was little until adulthood I thought that it was normal for parents to constantly be in the hospital. Dad died at 59 and Mom at 68. They were both tough cookies.
As far as the background of life changing, yes it does. JKK was assassinated and the background changed, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy assassinations and the background changed, Viet Nam War, attempted assassination of Regan, Gulf War, 9/11 and of course the covid lockdowns; the background all changed to places we had never been before.
I agree we are in a place now we have never been before but I will take after my parents and be another mule. We have a family plan about how to deal with different situations that we may face in the future. Each family’s plan will be different but you should get together with your family and make that plan. Also make sure that you have the appropriate supplies on hand to survive what the Biden administration may have up its sleeve in the coming year.
Finally, look at the mug shot of President Trump; that is what it looks like to be resolved. So, I am going to be resolve to live my best life just like my parents did.

Very interesting article. It speaks to a more deep part of the soul of patriots as we enter this place we have never witnessed before. Those of us who are of advanced years would have never imagined what is happening. We have been forced into reality. I believe we must heed the warnings. Mankind has been through similar places, and they are well recorded in the Bible. My concern is that if we stand still, do not move forward, we will turn into a pillar of salt and become useless to the world who needs us to be strong. We know what is true. We are not the pretenders. We remain(ed) hopeful. The appearance of not moving is how God will use some of us to practice that quietness, grasping the true nature and sense of those around us. Not all are equipped with the gift of quietness, but all of us are important…God uses all willing vessels. I do believe the slow to wake among us are stunned, they are forced to see what is happening. It has startled us, them. There is more to come. We know it. The quiet man is moving…the quiet man hears the Words needed. How about opening our prayers with Amen. Amen is so much more than “so be it”. Amen means Truth. Amen is Praise to God. Amen is a characteristic of God. The Bible refers to the God of Amen. Jesus is called The Amen. Jesus used Amen at the beginning of prayers = Truly. When we use Amen we might think of it as a solemn affirmation that we are giving our personal guarantee that was said is true. We should pray, believe God and after our Amen know He is Truth.
