Where DeSantis goes horribly wrong in his political approach is to then blame Donald Trump for the outcomes of the state decisions during the 2020 COVID election. The states run the elections, not the federal government. Ballot harvesting corruption and the fraud in the voting process was a specific regional issue albeit on a massive scale.
DeSantis has this sanctimonious streak that runs through him from top to bottom. President Trump named him accurately. The Florida governor has very few friends, and those who know him in his professional political endeavors do not find him to be a man of integrity.

Many of us watched the witnesses during hearings on election irregularities in the swing states, led by Rudy Giuliani. Many of us have watched the movie “2000 mules”. We know that the “intelligence community” lied about the Hunter Biden laptop to influence the election. We know from Molly Ball’s article in Time magazine that the election was “fortified” and Mollie Hemingway’s book Rigged… spelled out how the 2020 election was set up against President Trump.
There is just too much evidence of irregularities in the states, of ballot harvesting, and of shenanigans in key cities in those swing states for there to be a factual basis for Ron DeSantis’ claims. The fact that he has changed his stance to come down on the Democrat side, on the globalist, billionaires’ club side shows clearly that he will never stand for us or for a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

I think DeSantis “bet the farm” on Trump being removed from the race…or he completely misjudged and thought these indictments would see Trump losing support…a third option might be that his donors whispered tales of glory in his ears and he was overcome/seduced by them. I voted for him twice and it’s disappointing that he’s not who I thought he was.

Did Donald Trump lose? Yes, if the only criterion is who got sworn in on January 20, 2021, and that is the way DeSantis is answering that question. But what if the question is “Who got the most legitimate, real votes in enough states to handily win the electoral college vote?” The answer to that question is certainly Donald Trump.
