There was a lot going on in the Delaware federal court today. One of the topline issues was an admission by federal prosecutors that an additional investigation of Hunter Biden is ongoing, as the tax evasion and federal gun charge deal was brokered.
At the core, we see U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika noting the terms of the current DOJ plea deal appeared structured to provide immunity to Hunter Biden for any future crimes identified in the ongoing investigation on other matters; so, Noreika asked the DOJ directly. In essence, Judge Noreika called out the DOJ and directly asked them if this was their intent.
When Judge Noreika questioned the prosecution about this immunity implication, the US attorneys said future immunity was not part of this agreement. At that point the Hunter Biden defense team then acted surprised, saying if this is the accurate position of the DOJ then any plea deal is “null and void.”
After those statements, Judge Noreika seemingly dispatched the deal, telling both the DOJ and Biden defense, “I think having you guys talk more makes sense.”
Here’s the non-pretending version. The corrupt U.S. attorney’s office organized, coordinated and colluded with the Hunter Biden team to structure a deal that would provide cover for Hunter Biden for any further crimes. This is corrupt as hell. The judge sniffed this motive and asked the DOJ directly. The DOJ could not make that admission for obvious reasons and denied this intent. Thus, the Hunter defense team then had to say without the previously agreed future immunity, the deal was off.
DOJ corruption exposed.

Immunity for future crimes? Does this mean immunity from crimes committed in the past which may be discovered in the future or crimes not yet committed? If the latter it would give him a cart Blanche to commit any federal crime in the future which is unheard of.
It’s all of his corrupt dealings with foreign companies in the past. The judge asked specifically about that aspect and the prosecutor had to pretend that they really are investigating those deals and might charge him for them. It’s those foreign deals that the plea deal really was about but they wanted to hide that fact from the public and try to slip it past the judge by not including it in the actual Plea document. Instead they put it in a separate document, but the judge wasn’t fooled and confronted the prosecutor about it. This put the prosecutor in a no win situation: if he admitted that the deal covered ALL of Hunter’s criminal enterprises, then it would be a political disaster for Joe Biden which is what they were trying to avoid in the first place. Further, they need the cover of these phony investigations in order to continue refusing to cooperate with congress. On the other hand, if he lies and says that the deal doesn’t cover all the foreign crimes, then Hunter would back out of the plea.
The prosecutor went with the second option and reneged which blew everything up and now the crooked DOJ is going to be scrambling to figure how to get Hunter off scottfree like they planned without giving away the game. The problem is that everyone is watching and so there is no way they can pull it off without the whole country knowing. This is a MASSIVE disaster for the Biden Crime Syndicate.
And if they had gotten an Obama or Clinton judge, you KNOW it would have gone through like greased lightning…..

A deal on one date could not give immunity for crimes COMMITTED after that date.
It could try to grant immunity for crimes already committed but not yet charged. Very sleazy move.

I wonder if it is that they need an “ongoing investigation” forever so they control the data, to ward off Congress from getting any documents. Is it that to bargain with the immunity carrot they had to pretend that the investigation is done (documents then become available for Congress)?
Perhaps the purpose of the “impeachment inquiry” gambit is to to force access to desired documents, a Repub parry to the DOJ/FBI’s “ongoing investigation” tactic of withholding information? Who wins that potential tug of war?

Very interesting. This would suggest any other criminal acts and possible punishment for those acts is worse than what he would face on just the 2 tax charges and felony gun charge.

IF we had an honest FBI & DOJ they would be investigating the entire Mao Xiden Crime Family under the RICO ACT, which allows crimes committed up to 10 years ago to be charged and prosecuted..Bribery, Extortion, Conspiracy, violations of the FARA ACT, money laundering, tax evasion etc etc.

The DoJ will; seek to have the judge replaced, run out the statute of limitations or drop all charges. Ole Yeller could of course simply pardon him. It’s not as if the Deep State, the media or Biden care about optics anymore.

This is legal theater to fool the masses. The objective is to protect Joe Biden by keeping his bribery and Hunter’s scandals hidden behind a wall of “ongoing investigation”. Offering blanket immunity works against the objective: all the activity covered under immunity would then be subject to public release and review.
Hunter doesn’t need the immunity; he already has a corrupt DOJ protecting him. So it follows that the immunity offer is a limited hangout for the public: it’s designed to show that the legal system isn’t rigged this time unlike all the other times, and design to be publicly rejected by the judge to “force” the DOJ back into the briar patch of the status quo ante.
I believe the exit strategy will be Biden will pardon Hunter and himself along with the entire corrupt Biden clan and retire to “spend time with the children”.
