This is a totally freehand writing for CTH readers, not written with any intent other than our conversation.
For a long time, I have written various forms of an article and deleted it – crumpled it up and thrown it away… because it’s just so hard to write about.
However, an insightful comment by Dutchman today has just pushed me to write it. Unlike most writing, this is no notes, few citations, just thoughts.
You guys are having a discussion about Larry Hogan’s commentary to CBS News.
In the middle of the discussion, someone writes the familiar and common sentiment about Ron DeSantis, a reasonably decent and good governor, doing his big politically stupid run for 2024. Dutchman responds:
DUTCHMAN – […] “IMHO, you and others who express your sentiment, don’t REALLY “get it”;
The WHOLE reason DeSantis was the most popular Governor throughout his first term, was a CON;
EVERY action he took as Governor, was a political calculation planned and intended to create the image of “the free State of Florida” and RDS as “Trump lite”.
It wasn’t that “he changed” after getting the $millions, he was ALWAYS terrible at connecting with voters, a terrible campaigner, and he was NEVER MAGA; it was all a “PR.” or advertising campaign to create a totally artificial, and unconnected from reality IMAGE.
And it is that IMAGE that people “fell in love with” and it never existed.
This is important because if people don’t understand this, recognize they were “conned” and understand HOW they were manipulated, they will keep falling for it, every time.
However, once you understand your own vulnerability to being manipulated, accept you need to CHANGE how you view things, THEN you won’t need someone else (like Sundance) to point it out to you, again.
5 minutes of OBJECTIVELY looking at a candidate, will be about 4 1/2 minutes more than necessary, to spot the phonies.” (link)
Perhaps, let me take you back to the spring of 2022 in my thoughts, and show you just how subtle, weird and difficult it is to really understand the nature of this political world we are in right now. A political world where nothing is what it seems. I have been inside this research rabbit hole for over a decade, so bear with me.
[SIDEBAR – Y’all know how I dug, and dug, and dug, and dug into the GOPe after the 2012 election to figure out just how the powers that be are able to construct the illusion of choice. From that research I was able to drill down into the raw material, the stuff they actually did, that outlined the concept of the “splitter strategy”, which I then held in my notes until 2015 while watching for the replay. The work back in 2012 helped me to foresee what would happen in 2016, and like clockwork, it rolled out exactly as expected.]
In the winter of 2021 and spring of 2022, every Spidey-sense within me said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is setting himself up for a 2024 run for the GOP nomination. Every data point that I was looking at aligned with it happening, and that included the part that no one was paying attention to in 2016.
♦BACKGROUND – In 2015, when Marco Rubio filed to run as a candidate for the 2016 GOP nomination for President, then little known one-term congressman Ron DeSantis filed to run for Rubio’s Senate seat. WTF? DeSantis’ only real qualification to run for that Florida Senate seat was a big donor assist from the Club 4 Growth. CfG supported DeSantis in Congress, big time – and CfG was the financial mechanism behind DeSantis in 2016 to take the Rubio Senate seat if he won the GOP nomination. Just keep this in mind.
In the latter part of 2021 and early 2022, all of the obscure stuff in the background of DeSantis looked like he was being positioned to run in 2024.
It was January 6, 2022, when someone (Pushaw) organized that influencer confab at the governor’s office. However, and this is where my own intellectual bias comes into play at times defeating my cynicism, I kept telling myself there’s no way DeSantis could be so stupid.
No way, regardless of all the mechanics that were paving this path, that Ron DeSantis would be stupid enough to run against a likely reelection bid by Donald Trump. For over six months, I kept putting the human factor at the forefront and forcing myself to ignore all of the datapoints that indicated DeSantis was being managed to do this. After all, c’mon, he’s not a stupid guy…. I kept telling myself.
Even in July 2022, every time the thought crossed my mind to revisit this issue, I kept making the mistake of denying the data, denying what was visible, simply because the alternative to stupidity was almost unthinkable in scale.
♦The Alternative – If DeSantis wasn’t stupid, and if DeSantis was indeed going to run for 2024, the alternative to stupidity was a long-term plan… A plan that would have been laid out essentially before his first campaign in 2018…. A plan that times to the exact same moments when Paul Ryan and the other GOPe member of congress announced they were not seeking midterm reelection for Trump’s midterm race…. A plan that coincided with buckets of former CIA operatives running for congress in both the Democrat and Republican races in that 2018 midterm…. A plan that had Eric Holder working in California to trigger the first ballot harvesting test run….
If DeSantis wasn’t stupid, the alternative was that he was part of a larger operation being carried out by the real power brokers who control U.S. elections, the billionaire donors and control agents, ie. “The Big Club.”
Now, stay with me… Under this scenario, if DeSantis wasn’t stupid, then he was always a controlled ‘political’ operative waiting to be triggered and have his career boosted by the Big Club crowd who funded him. Names like Bush, Clinton, Cheney, McCain, Romney and McConnell all circle this controlled orbit.
The odd, and seemingly impossible, DeSantis registration to run for the Florida Senate seat of Marco Rubio aligned with this almost conspiratorial outlook; except it wasn’t based on conspiracy theory, it was just a big datapoint, sitting there – staring back.
All of the data aligned that way, but I kept telling myself to ignore it – because at a certain point human reason has to be placed into the analysis, and there’s no way that DeSantis would be so stupid. Surely, regardless of how much he was controlled and influenced, he -the person- would have the ability to say, “No, this is just silly.”
That said, throughout the spring and summer of 2022, 80% of the objective data, and even more when considered in historic context, indicated DeSantis was going to enter the 2024 election at the behest of the people who control the Republican National Committee, the Republican Governors Association and the various political fundraising committees in both the House and Senate along with PAC’s and Superpacs.
In essence, if DeSantis was indeed planning a 2024 White House run, then all of the datapoints reconciled. If he wasn’t going to run, then there was just a lot of coincidental questions that didn’t make sense in the activity.
When faced with that scenario, you apply the scientific method and try to prove the opposite of the thesis.
Could I prove: DeSantis was *not* going to run and was *not* under the control of the Big Club (Sea Island et al)? The answer was no.
Now it’s July 2022. The headlines were all about Donald Trump and the conflicts with the NARA over documents and presidential records. Something was coming.
I told myself to put away all of the DeSantis questions until that moment with Trump was triggered; then wait and see how he responds.
If DeSantis is abhorred by the outcome of the DOJ/FBI targeting of Florida resident Trump, then he likely was not part of the plan to use him. However, if DeSantis was not abhorred by whatever was being cooked up, well, that would tell a big story.
On August 8th, 2022, when the FBI raided the home of Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent out one short twitter comment from his “personal” page and then went fully silent and invisible.
Despite his extremely high Florida visibility, literally almost every single day of the year holding press conferences and media events, DeSantis went fully into a bunker after the raid, and for five days was completely silent and missing from the public. There was no opportunity to question DeSantis about his feelings on the raid.
Instead, the people managing the governor broadcast two pre-recorded video messages about innocuous subjects and never made a public appearance.
Simultaneously, the people around the governor restructured a newly branded national campaign, and launched a national tour outside the State of Florida immediately after the five days in the bunker. These tours are planned long in advance, so someone knew something.
Mid-August 2022, the national tour, the book, the media use, the change in tone and personality, the new branding message, the people visited for fundraising, all of it… carefully scripted, long planned and being executed on cue. All prior polling showed a double-digit lead in Florida. Democrats had pulled out of financing; the Democrat Governors Association didn’t put in a dime to support Charlie Crist, and yet DeSantis was banging a big tin cup raking in tens-of-millions.
Immediately, I said that’s it… that’s enough. The evidence is overwhelming… It’s August 2022, and its crystal-clear; DeSantis is running for 2024, and I was confident outlining every step in the customary sequence that would take place including the timing of his announcement to May 2023. It was all obvious.
But back to the scenario…. Back to the discussion y’all are having…. Back to my original thoughts in 2021….
….If DeSantis isn’t stupid, that means?
It means exactly what Dutchman has just said. “This is important because if people don’t understand this, recognize they were “conned” and understand HOW they were manipulated, they will keep falling for it, every time.”
It means Ron DeSantis was a Big Club operation put into play in 2018.
Start there, review the timeline, review the events and everything makes sense. Republicans are very good at creating the illusion of choice. They are doing it again, only this time they are failing.
His military background has him in Guantanamo no? So naval intelligence?
I’ll volunteer to take some heat.
Lifetime Floridian.100% in for Trump Rd1, Rd2 and again now in Rd. 3.Is happy enough with DeSantis as our Governor, however, not as potential President.Have NOT done the research needed to understand how much we have been conned. ie… conned as in DeSantis was actually a horrible Governor? Or, conned that he is a fraud ‘MAGA Lite’ presidential candidate.
Absolutely Sundance has red-pilled me with DeSantis as a presidential candidate. But, in order to have discussions, and do a thorough part in the DeSantis deprogramming, I find myself getting into conversations that are becoming easy to discuss and win a change of mind as it relates to DeSantis being our president. Where it gets harder, is to convince my ignorant self and those I’m talking to that we were all conned by his Governorship.
Does anyone have his voting record on hand? TPP? USMCA? Covid response (lockdowns vs re-opening and how long )? Covid mandates for Florida? Illegal immigration, and any other public statement he pushed but failed to act etc.
I admit, I do love the anti-woke stuff, but I also recognize that as a state employee I did not lose my job b/c of vaccine mandate. That Regeneron was made available. I went and saw Gov DeSantis speak at one of our Universities and he had Project Veritas’ James O’Keeffe speak. Perhaps it would have helped if DeSantis got Vertias’ed too?
Anyways, it easy too show he is a poor presidential candidate and hangs with the dark side. I guess my lazy ass is requesting info that shows how bad a governor he was/is.
Think along the lines of he was TOO good to be TRUE. The media romanced him, even embellishing his policies to make them all seem perfect.
All the other governors stood back and let him do his Cinderella spin in the spotlight. Meatball was their anointed RINO right from the start.
What do you think will be DeSantis’s treatment of Florida when he finds out that those he pandered too supported Trump over the illusion that was created of him? Will he take revenge that we did not by the lie?
When that illusion dies, do you think he will be sufficiently bitter as to work contrary to Floridan’s conservative values? Or do you believe the illusion will take new form in attempt to capture the MAGA vote that is not going away when there is no longer a Trump?
As I think Sundance points out, as long as DeSantis is dancing with the Big Club donors, he will never be allowed to try and appeal to MAGA support with anything except illusion. The BC will not let him go authentic MAGA even if he had it in him.
As a native Floridian, I suspect he’ll be a little bitter, but doesn’t have the cajones to do much about it. He and his big money donors are still hoping that Trump gets removed, one way or another. He has no chance otherwise. I’m praying to see those donors fold their tents and move on soon. I’ve had more than enough of this little grifting phony.
I imagine the Uniparty doesn’t care what happens to him. He’s just a pathetic little weapon against Trump. Of course they may be getting a little alarmed at how insane the country is getting so quickly and think we need another weasel fake like George W. Bush to preach some ‘controlled conservatism’ for awhile.
And trust me, he hasn’t really done much he could take away. Disney outsmarted him with a work around and is doing fine I hear.
how are real estate and insurance prices in Florida?
What’s a suburban middle-income American debt load?
DeSantis is a useful idiot. Doing what he is told.
Uniparty is worthless without folks it can control.
The weak are the most dangerous.
Leads us back to perhaps what leads governments to totalitarianism.
Uniparty is a manifestation of the Weakness of man. DeSantis, fits.
While it’s not easy to speak plain truths these days, it’s simple enough.
Power is in the people, whether they use it or not makes all the difference.
This pretty much sums up the whole story on Ronald. He’s just the flavor of the day…..
Not all Governor’s had the super majority RINO state legislature at their fingertips. And the media crowned him, the Nation’s Governor. Karl Rove still thinks he’s so clever.
He seemingly had zero foreign policy experience, unless you count being in the military. Some have said he was at Gitmo and there are torture allegations that the media is covering up. That I don’t know about. I do believe the media are pushing him as the candidate. Childers of the Coffee & Covid substack insists that the media wants Trump as the candidate because Biden would prefer him as the opponent. Hilariously, one commenter said, yeah, actually Biden prefers chocolate chip ice cream. The notion that the left fears little Ron more than Trump is so absurd that I can’t imagine an attorney thinking we would believe that.
It’s all rather strange. I pray for Donald Trump constantly.
the media want a controlled opposition evil RINO that actually vs rhetorically works in everyday in the globalists interests. His name, is Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis is a Deep State Crisis Actor embedded in MAGA by GOPe and the Globalists to Make MAGA Safe for Globalism.
https://www.culturalmaga.com/
“the media want a controlled opposition evil RINO that actually vs rhetorically works in everyday in the globalists interests.”
… In the long line of Romeny, McCain, Dole, GWB, GHWB.
Sundance is right.
Desantis was too good to be true. He supported Paul Ryan while in Congress.
Desantis was hired by the Club to block President Trump for 2020/2024 and the Ron Desantis public image you know from 2020-2021 was fake.
Sundance is as accurate as Rush was. Been reading here since O’vomit days and Sundance is a keeper if you want to stay sane.
Anyone supporting or supported by Paul Ryan…..well, that is all I need to know. No more analysis needed. When I heard that, I was pretty done with him.
Back in March of 2020, the same day President Trump was optimistically pushing for opening everything back up by Easter Sunday, DeSantis was making declarations of tighter lockdowns for Florida. We couldn’t go to the beach without threat of arrest. There is a wealth of evidence!
It once took me an hour to creep across the border from Georgia into Jacksonville because of some idiotic roadblock that supposedly was slowing down Covid. Our school children were in masks for a vert long time!
He collected a huge war chest during his fraudulent run for reelection knowing he was going to run for President. He ran against Charlie Crist, so had lots of money left over since a dead man could have beat Charlie Crist. Landslide election, my ass! The super majority RINO legislators made it legal, just for him, to remain Governor while he campaigns all over the globe, claiming he has Florida set up to be self-governing. And he’s got a total blackout on all campaign news he wants kept secret, who he’s talking to, where he travels, etc. This dude is despicable.
But most important for me, the little man would have never been Governor in the first place without Donald Trump. Have you forgotten how he almost lost to the crackhead pervert, Andrew Gillum in 2018 and Trump had pull his little ass over the finish line?
Do you really suppose little Ron didn’t know anything about the FBI coming way deep into Florida to raid Mar-a-lago? The little butt wipe has been promised that he won’t have to run against Trump because Trump will be taken out one way or another.
Anybody with two functioning brain cells should be able to figure this out!
He did not have to deal with the neocons while governor. He was better than most as governor.
DeSantis has had a Rumble channel for a good while. Every time he gave away grant money (federal or state) he put another boring Rumble video of it. Every time he did something that would be good PR, another Rumble video. Every press conference with prepared remarks and prepared rejoinders to the media went on Rumble. All of those were offered to the media and he arranged media that would give him good PR.
The not-so-good things were never on Rumble and never given out to the media. It took investigative reporting or being a Florida citizen to see the negatives. The increases in property taxes. The increases in insurance and electricity rates. The FL National Guard sent to Ukraine to train neo-Nazi troops. The laundering of FL pension fund money into his campaign. The Hurricane Ian victims who are still waiting for insurance payouts. The insolvent homeowners’ insurance of last resort. The hiding of his visitors and his travels. DEI introduced into colleges and social emotional learning which is as dangerous as critical race theory. People are fooled that he is a good governor because he has had such good PR, but as Sundance has said, many laws that he signed have put in place rather policies that could be harmful in the hands of a potential Democrat as governor some time in the future.
Look at how he deviated from what Trump was doing as President during DeSantis first year as FL Governor. Repeatedly DeSantis was going in another direction opposed to President Trump until Trump would visit Florida and little Ron got in line time and time again. Then came covid. DeSantis opened Florida for tourism money. He had no great altruistic plan to save lives, school children or the elderly. No one knew what was best at that place and time. DeSantis opened up Florida for dining, real estate, parks, casinos, hotels and tourism. He simply got lucky that his plan worked better than Cuomos plan of lockdown in NY. DeSantis did not plan to save lives. It was a 50/50 coin flip and Ron won the health care and schools hero award as an unplanned result of saving the states tourism income. Coincidently the FL and NY population numbers are close and that illuminated the stark contrast between the two Governors in control of roughly the same size populations. This vaulted Florida into the National news along with NY and consequently DeSantis rose into national recognition. Who would fare better was anyone’s best guess back when it was happening. You will find many current Florida Congressional Menbers who claim that DeSantis is unresponsive and unreachable to them even in the hurricane Ian aftermath. They were left uninformed by the Governor in the midst of a natural disaster crisis. Very poor leadetship. I can go on and on about Ron’s poor Governorship skills. All you had to do was pay half attention to see it unfolding in real time.
I knew something was “off” about DeSantis at the start, because he was “allowed” to accomplish his MAGA goals as Governor without major pushback. In fact, the mainstream media was all abuzz concerning his directives.
How could that be?
Seeing as the ENEmedia will always, and without fail, disparage and malign any serious MAGA initiatives, it struck me as odd right from the get-go that DeSantis inexplicably got a pass. Not only did they fail to censor him, they actually reported what he did and, in many cases, even embellished on his policies to make them seem *better* than they actually were!
Now, *why* would the ENEmedia carry his water like that? Hmm
Another big tell: I noticed right away that 99 percent of the *other* governors were communists. They relished their Covid lockdowns and did nothing of MAGA note to help their states.
Why was DeSantis the only one who stood out? Where are the rest of the so-called MAGA governors?
Crickets.
And one last thing: How did DeSantis ever expect to pull support away from President Trump, unless a nefarious scheme to take out the front runner was already afoot?
Talk about election interference? Insurrection? TREASONOUS COUP?
Judith, what you said about RDS being “allowed” to accomplish certain goals made me also wonder… at the time. If the swamp powers were so hell bent on blocking and destroying Trump — then why was RDS not receiving any formidable fall out?
I always say look who is taking real heat in the media and you will see true MAGA.
Donald Trump and his family, Matt Gaetz,Julian Assange, Jan 6th victims, etc.
There are very few true MAGA candidates.
And his supporters will claim the media is so out to get him😂🤣😂. I know a few idiots that still believe that if it weren’t for Trump’s mean tweets, the media would have left him alone. This world makes me tired sometimes.
Like! I can’t make the thumbs up work at this site.
Much truth. And actually other Governor’s like Sarah Huckabee have done greater things, but no attention. Ohio has a bill requiring pharmacists to fill prescriptions for ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and others denied to us during Covid. Their Governor is a total RINO. It’s past the house and expected to pass the Senate.
Here in Florida, hard working conservatives crafted a wonderful health freedom bill for the past legislative session that was fully expected to pass. Only at the last minute, some carefully worded ‘to do nothing of substance’ bill came flying out of the Governor’s office and knocked the good bill right out of the running. DeSantis is bought and paid for and vile.
Also, most of SB252 sundowns in 2024 AND we got shafted with the “Constitutional carry debacle” and busted down to just open carry. He also made it even harder to litigate for malpractice, like we needed that?? DeSantis has let many of his 2x voters down and we won’t forget his lack of spine. Don’t even get me started on the healthcare workers and the federal vax mandate. He was so busy raking in Federal Biden bucks, he wouldn’t even consider going against that. He hasn’t done a single thing to address the insurance crisis either. Not that I want the government in private industry but he could at least throw some of the Biden bucks out as incentives to cap premiums for a few years vs the stupid tax holidays. He rebuilt a bridge in 3 days but PCB is still suffering 5 years later. None of it makes sense and he won’t get my vote. He is a DS plant that half-asses everything.
Yes. The problem is the “Gang who couldn’t shoot straight” (GOPe) couldn’t get to Trump fast enough before their boy flamed out
We think youre Nuts!
This is the best thing I’ve seen all day❤️💕❤️😍
Sundance needs to do a extensive profile piece on Koch. Has announced he will be spending $100 million in the Republican primary elections, to defeat Trump. He is the perfect example of the classic RINO.
We’ve seen it over, and over again. You get tired of one party undermining our republic, so you vote for the other party who at least pays lip service to its wellbeing. Then, when elected, he does the same damn shit, only a little more subtlety and slower. I’d say that Sundance has probably got his finger on the true nature of the beast. If you would, Sundance, don’t apologize, elaborate. We need to understand this beast. Not only how it effects the presidency but all the way down the totem pole where it works. We need to be able to recognize the damned thing when we see it, so we can exterminate it, off OUR LAND!
Keep reading, not only Sundance, but the comments as well.
I have been railing about the Uniparty since I found my branch, in 2016, about how we have to destroy the R wing, of the Uniparty bird, which then also destroys the D wing (cause a one-winged bird can’t fly.)
We destroy the R wing, by exposing they do what they do, not because they are stupid, cowardly, greedy or “fight by Marquis of Queesnsbury rules” but because they are COMPLICIT WITH the Dems.
And finally, how the KEY position, that “makes the whole thing work” are the elected Executive committee members of each State R party.
Remove and replace them (which you do by exposing their RINO nature, and voting them out) and replace with MAGA, and everything changes.
Harvard and Yale. That should tell us all we need to know about Meatball Ron and the whole story regarding his rise and political career. Inorganic as the day is long.
I have been preaching this message on Jeff Childer’s substack, Coffee& Covid for months now! (Childers is a Florida attorney from Gainesville and possible DeSantis donor who feigns neutrality, or I may not have the Spidey senses I think I have🤔). Time will surely tell. I say the Bush branch of the Uniparty recruited this obnoxious little squirt long ago and with a compliant media, created this image to catapult him onto the national stage.
Here’s something to make you reach for the vomit bag. DeSanctimonius indeed.
https://www2.cbn.com/news/us/ron-desantis-talks-faith-family-cbn-exclusive-were-christ-centered-household
How far does this go back? I remember that around 1996 it was Bob Dole’s turn to run. I never forgot the “turn to run” phrase. Then there is the Bush and McCain kerfuffle of 2000. Then Hillary’s sudden replacement by Obama. DeSantis, in my opinion, is a bad candidate. He couldn’t even deliver his line on paying off prostitutes or whatever he was told to say referring to Trump. This also explains why nothing is being done, even by the RNC, about the cheat-the-vote scheme even though there seems to be proof available now. The Club must like it the way it is. I’m amazed and very appreciative you are connecting the dots and connected DeSantis to 2018. What about the big elephant in the tiny room, DJT? Thanks.
I’m a 100% Trump supporter but I would not go so far as to say DeSantis is all image. I live in FL and during COVID when most of the country was in lock down our schools were open; parks and beaches were open; new medicine was available on a most at risk basis; masks were mostly optional, and most of all the crazy COVID people were substantially subdued. All of these things and others created a great sense of relief and freedom. but there are far worse creatures in the swamp. will not vote for him against Trump but there are far worse creatures in the swamp.
Why should anyone be comparing bad and less bad?
I think he is equally as detrimental to the people of this country as all the other Republican candidates. All of them answer to their billionaire donors, not to the people. None of them have a plan to improve the lives of people and improve the economy of the US.
Sundance for Pulitzer!
You guys are missing something. When these candidates are in second year of law school, Brookings, WEF, CFR all come calling. They wine and dine these folks and pump their heads up. POS like DeSantis wouldn’t get the idea to join the military on his own.
For those who have the courage to call out the US as a Banana Republic under Biden.
Ie) Bidens Banana Republic
We can be sure they will be faced with prosecution at the hands of the government. Those with the courage and fortitude to continue to speak plain truths to those leading the Banana Republic are fit to resolve the problem.
Those who pretend away the issue are either in on it, or too stupid to be if any help to the challenges the US is facing.
I see Obama was dragged out recently to start speaking. That is telling.
The issue for those pushing the banana Republic is that Trump doesn’t go away as their grip tightens, he only spreads. Similar effect with Trump on his opponents.
Quite a pickle we are in.
Simple choices lead to big changes. I trust more and more men will gain the courage to walk through the the fire and start living their highest truth.
Control and power is not love and freedom.
There are no dark, hidden passages to navigate to understand Ronald. He does what he’s paid to do. Now figuring out who the money merchants are can be a convoluted path but nonetheless, he does what he’s told. He voted in the affirmative for TPP and TPA when a member of our House of Representatives. He’s a creature of the system, as are most. Being head of a local government is one thing but asking to be the chief executive of our country is another. He’ll never be an America first president, ever. Fighting or appearing to fight social issues can be important, no doubt but most Americans want more than that. Trump has an established record of doing just that; being America first. Like him or not, he delivered for most Americans. There really is not much else to say.
Glad you pulled it back out of the trash and finished it up.
What’s weird is that I can’t figure out the alternative if DeSantis lost in 2018. What’d happen then? Would Trump have moved to Florida? It feels like Trump knows the chessboard, or at least keeps stumbling into moves that expose these people all over, but I’m struggling to see a winning play. But I guess we’re getting close to that chessboard being up-ended someone or something.
“It wasn’t that “he changed” after getting the $millions, he was ALWAYS terrible at connecting with voters, a terrible campaigner, and he was NEVER MAGA; it was all a “PR.” or advertising campaign to create a totally artificial, and unconnected from reality IMAGE.
And it is that IMAGE that people “fell in love with” and it never existed.”
This is what the GOP has been feeding us since GHWB. They saw Reagan and his “seven most terrifying words…” quote and they decided never again. So they talk the talk of conservatism to get elected, then poof, from day one its running as hard as possible from the policies they laid down during the campaign.
“Same as it ever was” – Talking Heads
