As expected, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is transferring the money he raised while running for reelection into a superpac to support his presidential ambitions. Florida donors to his reelection might not be too happy with this decision, but that’s what professional Republicans do – details below.
As one person put it, “DeSantis used Florida like an Uber” to achieve his real ambitions. As we noted last year, this plan was increasingly obvious {GO DEEP} and in hindsight very disappointing. Every single move happened exactly as we predicted. Many Floridians I have talked to feel suckered by the duplicity.
Additionally, DeSantis is heading to the exclusive Yale Club in New York this month {link} to meet with Wall Street donors, multinational corporate executives, and at least one mega donor with links to George Soros organization; go figure.
WASHINGTON – The Florida political committee once controlled by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis transferred $82.5 million last month to a super PAC supporting his presidential campaign, according to information posted to the committee’s website.
The shift of the funds has been anticipated ever since DeSantis entered the race with tens of millions of dollars left over from his 2022 reelection bid. However, the move nevertheless makes official an unprecedented effort by DeSantis allies to test the limits of campaign finance laws to benefit a presidential contender.
The Campaign Legal Center, a watchdog group, has already filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commision, flagging the expected transfer as potentially illegal. The organization alleges that DeSantis had unlawfully directed the money into a super PAC, Never Back Down, which is supposed to operate independently of candidates.
It’s unclear whether the FEC can – or will – step in. A similar case arose during the 2020 election, concerning the management of funds by GOP Rep. Byron Donalds. The FEC took no enforcement action in that case.
DeSantis shattered fundraising records for a non-self-funded gubernatorial candidate during his reelection, raising more than $190 million between his committee and campaign in the two years leading up to the 2022 midterms. But DeSantis needed far less than that to defeat Democrat Charlie Crist and entered 2023 with tens of millions left over. He added to that amount in the months between his reelection and announcing his campaign for president. (more)
Here are the details on Ron’s true allegiances – the source of much of the campaign cash he has been assembling in his effort to defeat Donald Trump on their behalf.
NEW YORK – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is coming to New York for a private presidential campaign fundraiser that’s set to be hosted by at least four Wall Street executives, including one with past ties to a firm backed by liberal billionaire George Soros, a frequent target of DeSantis and other Republicans.
The event is scheduled to take place June 29 at the swanky Yale Club, according to a copy of an invitation seen by CNBC. It will be one of DeSantis’ first fundraisers in the Big Apple since he officially launched his campaign for president last month.
The hosts listed on the DeSantis invitation include Paul Ardire, a partner at GoldenTree Asset Management, along with Christian Michalik, Rob Michalik and Corwynne Carruthers, who are all leaders at Kinderhook Industries, a private equity firm with at least $5 billion in assets under management, according to data from PitchBook. GoldenTree has at least $50 billion in assets under management, PitchBook says.
[…] According to the invitation, in order to attend the DeSantis fundraiser, a co-host must raise $50,000 and attendees to the lunch must contribute $6,600, the maximum amount a donor can give that can then be split evenly between the primary campaign account and the general election account. DeSantis is not going to live this down in Florida. Once his failed campaign comes to an end, there is not going to be any forgiveness for his fraud.
I’m one of those royally ticked off FL voters. I did not vote for him to run for national office and I will not vote for him as a presidential candidate.
I hope the majority of Floridians see they were conned.
Conned ain’t the word, pal. It’s much akin to a Timeshare Hustler ripping off naive Seasoned Citizens.
FBI whistleblower, Steve Friend, on timeshares…
“I’ve used the comparison of a timeshare weekend. You and your friend go on vacation, your friend buys one and gets mad at you after. He’s mad at the seller, but he’s angrier you didn’t get suckered.”
This is why “There are no good NAZIs.” It is a violation of their oath to the constitution that they did nothing to stand against it.
I kept asking his PR… when is the Rescue Ranger gonna get the courage to ask for my vote, because Orange Man America already did, so they better hurry up.
Fake Hate Late Again
I try not to invest too much emotional learning with politics. /s
I think most do. They’re ticked off about his absence on the insurance crisis.
This Floridian voted for DeSoros as Governor, never again. He can run for dog catcher, and I would not vote for him. Even if President Trump is stopped, RD has lost MAGA. Without the MAGA vote, he is toast, but the billionaires don’t care as long as Trump is gone.

I am in AZ and will never vote for Desanctimonius.
Never.

ALL that money, and RDS can’t BUY a decent headline, as its “Trump Indictments!!” and “Trump arraignments!” and “classified docs vs National security docs” 24/7.
And WHERE is all the LOVE he had, just 3-6 months ago?
Gone,…like a fart in a hurricane.
Poor guy just can’t get a break!
And while largely due to events, the truth will out, and of coarse God, certainly “some guy over in a small corner of the internet sure got the ball rolling,…and deserves due credit!
Kudos, Sundance!
You stuck your thumb right in the eye, of some of our biggest enemies, and they are still bleeding and hurting.
Vivek received a Paul & Daisy Soros scholarship for New Americans in 2011. Paul is George Soros’ brother.

So, that was like 12 years ago.
Irrelevant today.

Yes, because people completely discard their beliefs and associations after 12 years… Come on, man!
And because P and D Soros Fellowship’s handpicked Fellows are under no obligation, after accepting the $90,000, to stay loyal to the Soros mission statement of global equity as “lifelong”( on their website)Fellows. Yeah, right.
Victor Orban was a Soros believer, sycophant, and handpicked to turn Hungary into a W.E.F. perverted s$%thole until he wasn’t. Now he’s one of Sorasses largest butt pimples and is the point of the spear next to Putin in Russia, going against the central bankster’s Globohomos. We get so used to being played by the Big Club,we forget they can get burned just like just like they do.

Whip it!
Some people prefer to let emotions blind them … .
Facts don’t matter to them.
In 2020 his political contributions list ActBlue and the DNC.
Don’t know about that, but Vivek is more MAGA than any of the other presidential nomination wannabes. That’s all I’m sayin’. 🙂
TRUMP/ LAKE FOR 2024- UNBEATABLE
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2023/06/the_2024_reality_tv_show_to_blow_up_leftist_election_fraud.html
He was even in Miami yesterday.
Vivek SAYS he is pro-MAGA. The 2020 ACTBLUE and DNC donations make me SUSPICIOUS! That would have been directly against MAGA.
It’s more than suspicious, it’s completely damning.
Why does the VP need to come from a failed Presidential candidate?
Look wider.
He needs some aging and seasoning. He could be good.
Flova can you provide the link? Would be handy to have. Thanks.
I found the info. Vivek donated to ActBlue and DNC in 2019 and 2020:

Viveck or Ron?
NOTHING … Soros … is … EVER … irrelevant !!!
It’s very relevant.
It shows his true underhanded colors.
Trump would never have him as a VP.
Kari Lake is more likely his VP pick, if she doesn’t overcome her election fraud.
yes!!!
I believe Vivek’s parents immigrated here around 3 years before he was born. Doubt they were citizens first which brings up the whole natural born citizen issue. I believe he may not be eligible. If one of the most appealing parts of his platform to use the constitution to claw back the bureaucratic state I would use the the constitution to disqualify him if I were part of the bureaucracy. I know Obama and Harris have gotten a pass but who said it won’t be brought up for him. A ruling showing the 2 most damaging administrations had ineligible players would seed more chaos- a plus for the marxists.
Barry Parks was a CIA construct; rules didn’t matter.
Wow.
Vivek said he got invited because they wanted him to be part of their movement.
They used his name without his knowledge?
He has some good ideas but that 25-year-old thing eliminated him from the running, for me.
He’s kind of a war monger too.
The part I don’t buy into is that the WEF Young Global Leaders aren’t just members on a list. Per WEF literature, they go through a 3 year long training program. In 2017 he was a featured entrepreneur of WEF and then in 2021 the WEF listed him as part of the 2021 graduating class of Young Global Leaders.
I’d like Vivek to prove his disavowal. Maybe his passport records would clarify for the voters?

He even looks like the WEF clones.
And still affiliated with them in 2021.
I have not…and will not …waste my

Tulsi, too.

Even worse then that. According to my calculations, I think (U)Santis was chosen to lose to Newsom and it may have been a plan in the works prior to the release of the manufactured covid hoax.
Somebody please tell Tucker.
That would complete Casey DeSantis turning into a MeGain Markle.
“DeSantis is not going to live this down in Florida. Once his failed campaign comes to an end, there is not going to be any forgiveness for his fraud”.
As a Florida voter, I feel completely betrayed.
Rule #1…..Never, ever vote for a Lawyer…..
Rule #2 Never, ever vote for a Harvard, Yale or Columbia Grad…Especially a Lawyer Grad……
Rule #3 Never, ever vote for a person who’s never worked in the Private sector…..
DeSantis is the definition of Rule 1,2 and 3………..
DRIP
Don’t Return Incumbent Politicians
Which doesn’t apply to PDJT … because he isn’t a Politician
Never, ever vote for a lawyer who “practiced” at Gitmo.
It makes me wonder: What if a bunch of Florida residents who contributed to his gubernatorial campaign now decided to dispute their credit card payments to his campaign for fraud?
It maybe too late to do that or they will say the money is already spent.
Serve him right if Floridians recalled DeSantis.
Starting to get even more expensive in fl. Sure wish we had a govener who would address the insurance problems here in fl. Just got my renewal notices for flood , wind and homeowners. Flood went from 1400 to 1700. Wind and h.o. insurance from 1400 to 2400. Looks like I am having to work 18 months more. At 70 , was not part of the plan. Next will be to get out on Naples and Fl. altogether. 25 years here. Live your best life ,be grateful and help others.
I grew up in Naples. We moved there in ’72. Only street light was 5th Ave and 41 until you got to Page field in Ft Myers or almost to Miami.
Amazing how things there have ballooned beyond mention.
Good luck getting out. Not too many places to go anymore.
I have friends from upstate NY who moved to Florida about 5 years ago. They are in their early 70s and thought they had found their dream house in Paradise.
Just spoke to the wife today and she was telling me how expensive it’s gotten to live down there, especially with the insurance costs for their home.
She also said way too many people from NY and NJ have moved to her neighborhood so that it’s gotten very crowded.
Visited Naples once a year until my Dad died His wife still lives there She’s 93 this year. What a dreaded ride and Naples is actually building Condos on actual street corners. I made a comment about it.He lived over off of Davis and Airport Pullman.
Yes. I oversee my mother’s FL condo after she passed. Prices of insurance have skyrocketed as you indicate. RsD is negligent in is gubernatorial duty to not do something. Both houses are R. He could easily do something, but won’t tackle the insurance industry. He is bought off. I am sorry you have to deal with this burden.
My mom left her home in Trust and stipulated that it would be rented during high season, which I handle. Fortunately, this condo complex is in demand so it’s easy to get long-term repeat renters just by posting a little ad on bulletin boards of our Facebook page. The bulk of the income goes to taxes and insurance.
It’s become a fallacy to think Florida is a great place to move to because it doesn’t have a state income tax. The rest of their taxes and insurance costs more than exceed any personal income tax for a middle-income family.
Gov DeSanctimonious is a fraud.
When I see your alias, I just smile.
Our daughter has a Maine Coon cat. He’s nearly a year and a half old and he is such a love.
He’s an innocent gentle giant.
We just finished up taking care of him while she was out of town.
Maine Coons are such big, funny loves!
Yes! So sweet! One big fur ball!
Mine is an “innocent gentle giant” too. A real sweety pie!
I can’t imagine that DeSantis didn’t realize, before he jumped into the 2024 run, that his political career in FL would be over. He’s apparently OK with that (as long as he gets rich).
It might actually be much worse than that too. I’m predicting that the democrats in FL retake the governor’s office in 2026 along with giving many of these DeSantis GOP bootlicking state reps the heave-ho. Democrat voters expect this from their party. Republican voters normally react very poorly and make their party pay.
DeSantis and his bootlickers will single-handedly flip FL to blue.
Yeah, but he won’t mind.
Again, anyone saying this, doesn’t know Florida. Republicans outnumber dims here now. SO NO it won’t happen unless the republican candidate is trash.
I know Florida and with Republican’ts like these who needs Demonscats??
It is like Texas.
It is already blue but people are wearing rose-colored glasses so they don’t have to admit their republicans are actually democrats.
NEVER FORGET
Paul Ryan
McConnell
JUDASpence
RINORAT Traitors.
Don’t forget the treasonous Bill Barr.
He will be rewarded financially for life.
He can become a lobbyist.
They already know him.
I am so sickened at what is going on. MOST people don’t know this.
Faux news and Breitbart are also shilling for that slime ball DeSantis.
It’s a 2016 repeat. Breitbart was in front, shilling for Rafael Cruz from he beginning.
Then FAUX news followed, when the mob running against Trump thinned out.
Pray President Trump overcomes this and I mean seriously pray.
He is our last shot.
Dear God In Heaven … send your Angelic Protecter – St Michael The Archangel – to protect our Patriot President Donald John Trump. Amen.
#DeSwamptus
DeSantis is the political establishment’s weapon against Trump. Vote accordingly.
There are no other candidates to vote for except President Trump!
No self-respecting MAGA American will ever vote for anybody but our Pres Trump.
Haven’t we learned? Half-measures and holding our noses have availed us nothing but the rise of global deep state communism.
If Republican Party stops trump from running……
Get Matt Gaetz to run for president so he can be the backup instead of voting for DeRino!!!!
Matt resigns if trump allowed to be nominee.
If not ….. we vote Matt Gaetz to be GOP nominee. He then picks trump as VP. Then he resigns and makes Trump president if elected. Lol. Then Trump makes them the VP. Lol. They switch positions. Lol.
Gaetz or Lake. Pick one. But one of them needs to run for president so we have a backup!!!
We have been bombarded with Never Back Down mailers for months, here in South Carolina. They have subsided since Ron got the election law changed to his advantage…And his poll numbers dropped like a rock!
How bent will Fox News be when they learn they couldn’t drag Mr. Personality deprived over the finish line?
And what does $83 million dollars buy?
DeSantis has bought punctuation. He is now DeSantis!
Unsurprisingly DeSantis! has some of the same consultants behind it as Jeb!.
Brilliant strategy from the Bush clan and flunkies, not.
We can see the strings.
I wonder if this will be an opportunity for Jeb! to move some of that stuff on his 2016 campaign website, like the mortar and pestle.
How exciting. Some focus group got as excited as I just did? Ex … cited
Sundance
I’m confused. I have made contributions in Florida and for federal races. Corporations can give in to candidates in Florida. But can’t give to federal candidates.
How is that being done? Did he ask contributors to convert their contributions?
I know him personally. Would have been great in 2028. Now knowing he is owned by the Bush family and Moderna and Men Griffen. I know his only usefulness to these people is to Destroy Trump. If the RNC removes Trump from ballot. I will write in Trump in every state and Federal race in PA. Now, sadly, I can never Vote for Ron DeSantis.
This is so sad. I had hoped he was what he promoted himself to be. The Yale club is over the top. One world-er’s all. No wonders the Bush clan supported him. Who is next in line?
And when you realize that $83 million includes $26 million from the RGA that did NOT go to help Kari Lake win in Arizona, you should be even more pissed.
I suggest people read this Politico article about what the Republican swamp is trying to do to prevent Trump from winning. The article is from February, at that time the swamp didn’t have a clear plan. But just know they are working on one and they probably have a few options already. We’ll probably know by the end of this year. Be prepared for it, don’t be caught off guard.
Our first goal: We need Trump to be in the GOP primary and on the ballots in EVERY state. Anything the RNC or individual states do to compromise this is a direct threat to us.
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/02/09/gop-trump-2024-election-00081944
Voted twice for DeSantis and will NEVER vote for him again. He has left Florida hanging in the wind and aligned himself with Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan. He certainly stabbed President Trump in the back after Trump saved him in his race against Andrew Gillum.
He got me twice as well.
And me!! NEVER AGAIN!
It won’t matter.
It could be 1000x that amount, worthless dollars in the end. Only more links of chain for him and those that fund him.l
The only way anyone gets into ‘office ‘ besides PDJT is from fraud.
This is the true currency of the universe.
Real free will votes from real people.
God only wants to know who would choose him and his ways absent absolute knowledge of his existence.
Can someone please point FL voters to the DeSwampass Refund Center.
Is there an address where I can apply for a refund ?
Hero to zero.
RDS is going to wish he never met these people before this is all over.
He truly won’t be able to show his face anywhere in this country without being ridiculed snd shamed.
how is that legal?
I am thoroughly disgusted and let down at the same time. I know several people who feel the same way. I live in the Panhandle, Donald Trump rules here.
DeSantis should contact Garland about buying an indictment to boost his poll numbers.
I’m disliking DeSantis more every day.
With all this money coming out his rear, has he given back the salary he’s paid while he’s not working for the people of Florida? I bet there are plenty of his constituents who could use the help of that money.
Wouldn’t it be so glorious to see President Trump roundly defeat Ron DeSantis in the Florida primary?
DeSantis has shown himself to be fully repulsive.
What catches my eye here is how much DeSantis raised for the governor’s race – $190M – and then Crist ran such an inept campaign, RDS didn’t need to spend any money. I said at the time that it looked to me like Crist had no intention of winning and wouldn’t be campaigning any differently if his goal was to throw the race. It’s also one of the things I bring up to RonBots when they tell me Ron won by such a huge margin in FL. Well, says I, if your opponent has no intention of actually winning it’s pretty easy to beat them. If they are actively trying to throw the election to you, it’s even easier. Now, looking at the money left over, it would appear my gut was right again – Crist was the token “competition” presented to make RDS look like a juggernaut.
Things like this make me feel manipulated, and they make me mad.
Money is like muck, not good unless it is spread. (Francis Bacon)
Well, DeSantis’s logic –
Since he’s no longer in the run for FL governorship, Team DeSantis assume the money donated to his war chest are people who automatically will support his 2024 presidential run. Instead of return the money then raise it again creating such hassle for the people, why not simply transfer it directly. It is a win-win for him.
An elected official leaving mid-term to ‘take a better job’ triggers a special election. There are many voters who resent any official who they voted for, who then climbs the ladder.
Everyone on the site should be aware that this is what now-Senator Josh Hawley did. For Missouri Republicans, this individual erupted from almost nowhere in 2012 with some sort of liberty-themed organization, which has now been scrubbed from the interweb. He ran and was elected Missouri AG in 2016 and criticized politicians who climbed the ladder. I remember–I was there. Less than a year into his AG term he was running for U.S. Senate. It was rather shameless on his part.
This man is extremely ambitious. With no legislative experience at the state level, I believe caution is warranted.
Trump predicted this and warned that it was a violation of the FEC rules AND in violation of Florida’s law.
There are ways to charge people of crimes where they skirt the letter of the law in order to violate the SPIRIT of the law.
This proves to a Florida Jury that it has always been DeSantis’s intention to violate the resign-to-run law as it was written.
A court and/or jury might well end up ruling in DeSantis’s favor, but the public attention to the case would do the damage needed.
I wonder who in the FL legislature was promised positions in the Fed Gov to push through the change in FL law that prevented a sitting Governor from running for Federal Office? RdS announced a few days after HE signed the change to that law.
He won’t win FL primary because of that alone..
Everyone says DeS needs to work on connecting w his audience, but it’s hard when you look out amongst the crowd and know People Hate You
That should be illegal and amounts to fraud!!
