As one person put it, “DeSantis used Florida like an Uber” to achieve his real ambitions. As we noted last year, this plan was increasingly obvious {GO DEEP} and in hindsight very disappointing. Every single move happened exactly as we predicted. Many Floridians I have talked to feel suckered by the duplicity.
Additionally, DeSantis is heading to the exclusive Yale Club in New York this month {link} to meet with Wall Street donors, multinational corporate executives, and at least one mega donor with links to George Soros organization; go figure.
WASHINGTON – The Florida political committee once controlled by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis transferred $82.5 million last month to a super PAC supporting his presidential campaign, according to information posted to the committee’s website.
The shift of the funds has been anticipated ever since DeSantis entered the race with tens of millions of dollars left over from his 2022 reelection bid. However, the move nevertheless makes official an unprecedented effort by DeSantis allies to test the limits of campaign finance laws to benefit a presidential contender.
The Campaign Legal Center, a watchdog group, has already filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commision, flagging the expected transfer as potentially illegal. The organization alleges that DeSantis had unlawfully directed the money into a super PAC, Never Back Down, which is supposed to operate independently of candidates.
It’s unclear whether the FEC can – or will – step in. A similar case arose during the 2020 election, concerning the management of funds by GOP Rep. Byron Donalds. The FEC took no enforcement action in that case.
DeSantis shattered fundraising records for a non-self-funded gubernatorial candidate during his reelection, raising more than $190 million between his committee and campaign in the two years leading up to the 2022 midterms. But DeSantis needed far less than that to defeat Democrat Charlie Crist and entered 2023 with tens of millions left over. The secular part of me is mad as hell. The Christian part of me, says, hey knucklehead, what did you expect st the end of the age? I hate what is going on. I absolutely despise it and especially what is going on with President Trump. Where I live everyone knows of him or knows him personally. Prior to running for President, he was very accessible. No matter what, We’ll be voting for him, or write him in, whether it is for the primary or the general. We love the guy. He’s cleaner than the damn swamp people. The swamp is totally corrupt, except for handful of people in Congress and the Senate.
Having said all that, do reconsider Christ. He gives me peace. I have cancer in two locations and both are in remission. there is a third location that we are “watching” but I don’t think there is anything going on. He’s been with me all the way, when it was touch and go. It brought me closer to Him. I could say more about myself, but it’s more important for you to reconsider Him. We need some Divine intervention to help us, if that is His will.
I will always do my best to stand up for what is right. I feel that is an obligation for all Christians. So I’ not waving the white flag. Our nation has been losing it’s way for quite some time. So however it works out, reconsider Him, and cover all bases.

I don’t know about PACs. If it were his campaign’s primary fund I think that’s his money to use pretty much however he wishes. (Maybe he can finally pay off his student loans?) But I don’t know about PAC money. I need to look that up. If DeSantis doesn’t win the GOP nomination the PAC will probably contribute to Biden.

Prediction: Trump wipes DeSantis off the floor in the Florida Republican primary
Caveat: This assumes the GOPe does not remove Trump from the ballot, which if I was a betting man, is a distinct possibility.
I’m worried that the RNC (or perhaps state GOPs, now that other commenters have mentioned it) will prevent Trump from participating in the GOP primary. That’s why I asked in a comment upstream what we should do if that happens. I think we need to stop DeSantis from winning the GOP primary because if he does win it then he’ll be on the ballot in November 2024 and even if all of us Trump supporters manage to write in Trump’s name DeSantis will be a splitter and Biden will win.
I cannot advise others, but I will freely say what I will do.
First, I will vote for Trump and ONLY Trump. If I have to write his name in, then that is what I will do. If I am unable to do that, then I will not vote.

3rd party won’t work because of Congress majorities in the House and Senate. The majorities are extremely important because the majority party chairs all of the committees and drives the agendas. You will never have enough 3rd party Reps or Senators to make majorities, the best they will be able to do is caucus with the GOP. Might as well just take over the GOP then. It has already begun, it just requires a sustained effort. Wyoming is a great example, in 2022 Harriet Hageman primaried Liz Cheney and several other RINOs were ousted.

RPOF Chairman Christian Ziegler, has authorized a rule change by the RPOF Constitution & Rules Committee (at the May 2023 Spring Meeting in Orlando) to Rule 31 pertaining to presidential candidates and nominees in FL. All candidates must affirm, through the RPOF Oath, that they WILL support the nominee or they WILL NOT be placed on the Florida Presidential Primary Ballot. This appears to be an attempt to keep President Trump off the Ballot for the FL President Preference Primary which is March 19, 2023.
Trump has not publicly affirmed he will support the RPOF nominee no matter who it is, due to massive election fraud nationwide during the 2020 and 2022 elections.

They want Trump out and force him to ENDORSE another Republican.

Ken Griffin used to live in Chicago and for the Illinois Governor race in 2020 he dumped $50 MILLION into the campaign of one of the GOP candidates. But that candidate made public statements about supporting BLM and I think he also implicitly supported defunding police, so consequently he lost the GOP primary. Griffin got upset, packed his bags and his business, and moved to Florida where he was already donating to DeSantis and then started donating more. I wonder how he’ll feel to throw away millions more dollars on a loser candidate. 🙂
