The Texas State House voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, effectively suspending him from legal authority within the state until an impeachment trial can be held in the State Senate. There are 20 articles of impeachment [READ HERE]. The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with most of the Texas state republicans voting in alignment with the Texas democrats.
People are shocked when I share the opinion that Texas is not near the top of the Republican states considered deep red “conservative” or freedom/values based. Of the mostly visible 30 states you might consider ‘conservative’ or ‘freedom balanced’, Texas wouldn’t appear in the top five; today’s vote in the Texas state house is just another datapoint in that direction.
TEXAS – In a history-making late-afternoon vote, a divided Texas House chose Saturday to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, temporarily removing him from office over allegations of misconduct that included bribery and abuse of office.
The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with three members absent.
Attention next shifts to the Texas Senate, which will conduct a trial with senators acting as jurors and designated House members presenting their case as impeachment managers. Permanently removing Paxton from office and barring him from holding future elected office in Texas would require the support of two-thirds of senators. (read more)
The Texas Republicans who voted to remove the conservative AG, are the typical Texas RINO, Bush and DeSantis support group. Understanding the dynamic, President Trump has promised to fight the Texas Republicans as they attack Ken Paxton.
Attorney General Ken Paxton released the following statement:
Texas isn’t conservative, nor patriotic. The state of Texas has allowed the invasion of our nation.
Correct! Abbott sat on his thumbs when he could have deputized 10M Americans to patrol the border. People would have come from all 50 states!
Tucker called him out and Abbot made some flimsy pathetic excuses.
It appears the bushCARTEL is RINORATing Texas.
I saw over on Twitter a mention of George P. Bush being put in as Texas AG – is this possible? HOW is it possible? Does Karl Rove know about this and does he think it is a good move and won’t alienate people across the country against Ron De Santis, due to the involvement of Jeb Bush in the RDS campaign?
The Bushes – Breathtakingly Crass.
The Bushes have kill the country. The whole lot of them back to Nazi collaborator Prescot Bush.
No more Bushes, Clinton’s, Obama’s , Kennedy’s— these families need to find other employment.
Traitors do not NEED employment, They need SENTENCING.
AMEN!
GP Bush ran against Paxton for AG in the last election and lost. That would make since that they (uniparty) would want to install him.
Got a big election coming up, 2024 Texas needs a new AG to secure the election, can’t have Paxton winning any more lawsuits. Uniparty getting more and more obvious in their Machiavellian antics. We now know the rot lays at the very heart of Texas Rino Government.
Starting with CA, then NV & AZ, the states I’ve lived in have become socialist pot holes.
I used to call McCane the best friend a democRat ever had. Now AZ is bellied up to the slop trough quite handily.
You’ll see it in Idaho & anywhere these CommieCrats set up politically.
Texas doesn’t surprise me. The “Red State” is like post card material, a fantasy.
In AZ, the presumptive governor was also in charge of running the election. No conflict there, except for other contestants & residents.
It’s called a “Revolution.”
Will it be they or we who win?? They have the edge as they follow no laws set to preserve Constitution. And we’re too damn condescending.
Just like the way “senator” John Warner turned the Old Dominion Common Wealth of Virginia the most conservative State in the Country into a Hell hole communist cesspool – Filled with Anti-American Transplants fully equipped with their Foreign Servants.
Then , We the People, have to work with what we have left. Just like in the American Revolution. I’m not living under
any NWO nonsense.
I suspect, based on your comment that in all 3 States, you lived in major metro areas, and thats why you access them as socialist pot holes.
Get out of the metro areas, and you will find all 3 are deep red, as in virtually ANY State; Delaware, Massachusettes, NYS are the same.
And, while “Demicrat run big cities” are worse, Republican run big cities are also full of homelessness and crime as you no doubt saw.
And its big cities where all of the election fraud is centered.
Thing is,…big cities are so,…vulnerable.
The problem is that the metro areas control the votes.
You are so right. Any time someone tries to make the argument that the electoral college is outdated my response is to point out that you have true “democracy” in places like NYS. New York City and Westchester voters control who goes to Albany and 70+ conservative counties get stuck with poor representation. Same thing in CA.
If an electoral college existed at the state level you might have a more level playing field. It is the reason that liberals are vehemently against the federal electoral college.
Where are these Republican-run big cities?
Miami?
But WHO in fact OUTNUMBERS WHO!!!!
Three Metro cities in the USA outnumber the ENTIRE REST of the USA.
Yes, deep red where it doesn’t count.
Texas is red in terms of the electorate. Obviously we have blue urban areas. The problem is nearly the entire GOP in TX is uniparty GOPe and does not represent their districts. This starts at the top and is pervasive throughout.
all the same people that ran it as dems just switched parties due to the culture wars of the 90s when they realized they couldn’t win with a D after their name. Just put an R and carry on business as usual…
True of the GOP House but not true of the GOP senate. It will fail there. But the voters here are to blame for not electing conservatives.
Please.
Their “elected” officials are installed.
Abbott could not have won if elections were honest. Texans know he’s been practically inviting the invasion in. Same in my “red” state, OK. Our AG donated to Biden. 🙄
The RNC stole our precinct system last year & the same hated RINOS went back to DC. They are so loathed, they had to hire security for a 2-block perimeter around their homes.
Nobody is voting for these criminals.
Agree. Stop blaming the voters of Texas for Cornyn and Abbott, or S. Carolina for Lindsey, Kentucky for Mitch.
State R parties play a crucial role in the painting; if they want the State blue, the State R party insures it stays blue, if they need it to appear red, so they can keep the Decepticons in the Senate, so they can play their role in the kabuki theater, then thats what it is.
I’ll have to confess to voting for Lindsay last election.
It seemed like the right thing to do to keep Jamie Harrison out of the Senate.
There is rarely any real opposition to him.
Almost a $billion was spent on the race.
I have learned my lesson and will never vote for him again.
If we must have a Dem. Senator to get rid of Lindsay…So be it!
Yes, but we can’t have this – these are Star Chambers. Named after some skunk in England, when people weren’t knowledgeable about politics. He made sham trials targeting his enemies (anyone who tried to keep him in line) in the House of Commons and it smeared the victims completely because the people were ignorant and thought the hearings were real trials. Some of the victims were probably burned at the stake by the mob. The Establishment didn’t have to do anything, it totally circumvented the Courts and Justice System. And if we’ve gotten so ignorant to this, that these commies are brazen enough to utilize one of the most shameless political techniques ever concocted, and we live in an information age. Then it’s going to get ugly, real ugly.
Hopefully a few of the Stars will get burned at the stake this time.
They need to MAN THEIR PRECINCTS!!! That’s the battlefield.
Just got through educating my Texas family. We have a year – I think we’re being given such a gift it’s 2023 & not 2024; the truth is rising to the top.

The Texas Deep State: Will Public Servants Hold It Accountable?
“…there’s no consequences for the bad behavior.”
https://texasscorecard.com/investigations/the-texas-deep-state-will-public-servants-hold-it-accountable/
The Texas Republican Party is by and large controlled by the politicians from the Bush wing. They mostly come from the Houston faction. Cruz, Abbott, Patrick are part of the faction. They have always acted this way, nothing has changed. The number of bills that would have made a real difference with the border problems have died without coming to the floor are astonishing .These people, along with their Democrat allies, have been after Paxton for as long as he has been in office. The Party plays the political theatre game very well. They do not like Trump. They will work behind the scenes to frustrate whatever the MAGA voters want, while indulging in Photo op activities, like the busing of illegals to other state, in order to pull the wool over the voters eyes. Don’t be misled.
Good point. As JEB! says, we must treat the illegals with love. Is he? No, he’s too busy molding DE Snaketis into what they are…there are no words for them.
Oh, he and his bros probably are having their pick of the human trafficing harvest, and,…lovin every bit of it.
Texas its Bush faction, Az its McStain, Ohio its Kasich, Michigan its Devos family, Wyoming its Chaney.
Look specifically at who are on the State R party executive boards, and County Executive boards; the Chairs is where people mistakenly focus their attention, as intended but it is the executive boards that are the power.
In order to deconstruct a building (demolition) you need to understand how its constructed, the areas of relative strength and weakness, and the “stress points” where a small charge can bring the whole thing down.
Where’s Gov. Abbott? Oh, and what about that promised pardon for the Patriot who defended himself against the anyifa commies?
Sad! The Communists want to turn Texas bright blue.
They’ve been working at it for years. They are also hard at work on North Carolina and Florida.
I’m very happy with my State Representative, she voted nay. Thank you Rep. Slawson for standing strong!
On the other hand, maybe Paxton will be available to replace Garland. LOL
LATEST UPDATE: First Assistant Attorney General Brent Webster will serve as attorney general in Paxton’s stead, according to an internal memo sent to staff and obtained by @dallasnews. Brent is from Wiliamson County. It could be much worse!
Too close to Austin.
BRENT WEBSTER: First Assistant Attorney General
Brent Webster was appointed by Ken Paxton to be First Assistant Attorney General in 2020. Brent brings leadership experience and an aggressive and strategic approach to litigation.
Prior to joining the Attorney General’s Office, Webster served as a criminal prosecutor in Texas for 10 years, also serving as the First Assistant District Attorney in Williamson County. As a Williamson County Assistant District Attorney, he was awarded the “Crime Victim Advocate Hall of Fame Award” for outstanding service to crime victims.
Since leaving the Williamson County District Attorney’s office, Webster has served as a civil litigator and as a criminal defense attorney in private practice. He also recently served as Chief Operations Officer and General Counsel at a start-up in Austin, rapidly scaling the business.
Webster received his undergraduate education at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas graduating in 2003, and received his legal education at University of Houston Law Center in 2005. He is licensed to practice law by the state of Texas and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, and the federal district courts in the Western, Southern, and Northern districts of Texas.
I’ve been saying for a year that Texas is fake.
Both Texas and Florida could flip democrat in my opinion. Florida has huge problems brewing in the housing sector and some of those problems are because of legislation DeSantis passed. All bets are off after DeSantis leaves the governorship.
You said it. That is concerning to me. I live in Florida. DESnaketis just lost his home city of Jacksonville. A female Leftist won and will takeover as Mayor.
You don’t need to worry; DeSaster will not be leaving the governorship.
“huge problems brewing in the housing sector”
Such as?
I am a Texan and watched the entire hearing. Grassroots activists are outraged. This was political retribution toward an extremely effective AG. I don’t know if any of the allegations were true and frankly do not care. We have a grifter and criminal of the highest order sitting in the WH. Many more in the U.S. Senate and House.
Leave Ken Paxton alone. He is a fabulous AG and we support him!!
Mr. Ken Paxton is the real deal MAGA warrior.
RINOs who voted to impeach AG Paxton will be primaried with a MAGA candidate.
If you want to become a MAGA candidate to replace a RINO in your district in the 2023/2024 cycle, it is time to act….. build up your family and friends support group and meet all of the filing deadlines.
Jump in, the water is fine. And I dear say you will have the support of President Trump.
Texas is almost a purple state at this point. Lyin’ Ted, another backstabbing weasel like Governor Meatball, only won because of Trump’s endorsement. President Trump thankfully ended Beta O’Rourke’s pathetic career.
But thats what they do; if they want to keep a RINO Decepticon in place, they run a hard leftist against them; Beto against Cruz, and flaming hard core commies against Graham and Mitch, Abrams against Kemp, so that the alternative is just so horrible, R voters feel compelled to “hold their nose” and vote for the RINO.
SD and others
What are the most red states?
SD
What are the odds of a third party getting up and running in time for 2024?
NONE are “Red” its a myth, and wrong thinking perpetuated by the enemy.
Stop thinking “red v blue” “R v D” or even “CONservative v liberal”.
The political battle is MAGA VS UNIPARTY.
All other labels, even “conservative” are artificial constructs, false premises.
And once you accept a false premise, it inevitably leads to a false conclusion. Its a trap.
ALL States are run by a cabal of power brokers: the people ‘at the top’ of the State R and D parties that actually put the elected officials into their offices.
“The political battle is MAGA VS UNIPARTY.”
I see it a little differently.
The political battle is MAGA- Republican VS every other political party that exists in the world today.
But when you say,“ R voters feel compelled to “hold their nose” and vote for the RINO”
I completely agree with you and it’s good you point this out.
RINO Decepticon VS a hard leftist is The depressing reality choice we live in .
Kevin Paxton is a mega -Republican who won with 68% of the vote and
George P Bush lost with 32% of the vote.
The mega-republican won in a landslide. Many said It couldn’t be done but yet the mega Republican pulled it off.
MY Conclusion;
Kevin Paxton won his office because Mega- Republicans outnumber the Bush Republicans in TEXAS.
The only good news about his removal from office is that this gives the Mega- Republican Party More reason to defeat the Bush -Republican party.
I’m looking forward to the next Mega -Republican rally …..
MAGA, not Mega.
Once Texas flipped from majority Democrat to Republican around ’78 (anti-Carter) – ’80 (pro-Reagan), all the leftist D’s started running as R’s in order to get elected, which is why you have a bunch of RINO’s there elected ever since.
Most Republicans are actually Democrats however no Democrats are actualy Republicans.
This one is so blatant that even Ted Cruz is speaking out against it.
But DeSantis keeps dragging Canadian Ted Back to the BLUE.
Too Funny.

Corrupt scumbags will always be scumbags. I for one fail to understand how they can live with themselves. I’m sure they all have families, many with grandchildren yet they purposely sell out while fully realizing their actions will hurt and possibly even devastate their own families as well as the country in the not so far off future. I hereby nominate the Republican party of Texas for the brown scumbag award of Anno Domini, 2023 . .HOW DARE THEY ACT THIS WAY!!!
They may not be able to live with themselves, much longer.
Anyone watching the Twitterverse knows that there are A LOT of Texans that are PO’ed.
The phonelines for many of the State reps have been blowing up.
There are many who are promising rectification of the situation at primary time.
Daniel Miller, the president of the TNM, released this statement:
Statement on Impeachment Proceedings Against Attorney General Ken Paxton
I agree with Sundance’s assessment of Texas not being as RED as people think it is.
I remember waking up the day after the 1992 Election to see that California had shifted blue, and within 10 years the TRANSformation had metastasized under RINO Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the point of no return.
The way I see it DeSantis is the modern day Schwarzenegger. Both men ran out of Ego, only paying lip-service to the Forgotten Man and Woman. And it looks like both men AND THEIR ALLIES have NO PROBLEM telling US to “SCREW YOUR FREEDOMS”.
The only man, and the last best hope to Make America Great Again IS Donald John Trump. And we see that clearly with his support of A G Paxton.
I think that is a very good comparison, RDS to Schwarzenegger, the all time crumb bum.
I remember seeing Arnold humbled by a Strike at the beginning of his first term. The first thing he did was beg for forgiveness. The man didn’t even put up a fight! After that the veneer of Conservativism became the veneer of “Republicanism” which when striped down becomes “Screw your Freedom.”
Which is great contrast to Pres. Trump!
Look at all the literal slings and arrows thrown at Pres. Trump… and he still stands and mocks them, daring them with , “that the best you can do?”
And not once has Pres. Trump gave up on US or throw the towel — seriously look at the abuse heaped on him and his family every second, anyone else would surrender crying for mercy! Arnold folded decades ago showing us his CHARACTER!
DeSantis has aligned with those that feel the same as Arnold. He has betrayed us by extension of his betrayal of Pres. Trump. And the RINO’s in Texas have done so even more nakedly.
But the RINOs in Texas made one mistake, the biggest ones in their political careers. Pres. Trump won’t back down — because that’s in his CHARACTER! And it’s in OUR CHARACTER to Make America Great Again… and we’ll win!
.
I read the articles. https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/88R/billtext/html/HR02377I.htm
I do not have personal knowledge of any of the facts but the facts recited are relatively sparse, with the counts expanding upon basically the same few allegations with different theories of legal liability.
Wouldn’t it be nice if such detailed scrutiny and theorizing was directed to the so many vastly more corrupt state and federal officials in this country.
.
wonder if Texas law permits recalling elected officials? This entire thing is just a political hit. If the people tolerate it, they deserve to live under the rule of these Caesars.
Also, Texas has a long history of some very shady political corruption. Lyndon Johnson was an absolute thug in the Texas legislature, just as one example. I lived in the Houston-metro area in the early 90’s during the reign of Ann Richards. She was about as rough around the edges as you’ll find and the folks there reluctantly elected her as I recall because the GOP candidate was a vulgar misogynistic nose-picker. Another Texas GOP Gem.
Texas ain’t as red as people think
Unfortunately, no options for recall under Texas law. Another way they keep us under their thumb. Only option is to wait for the next “election”.
I wonder how a Trump-Paxton ticket would do in 2024.
Perhaps it might be a way for Texas to still turn red during a Presidential election.
No, while they obviously don’t like Paxton, he is not the kind of absolute impeachment insurance PDJT needs; A.G. though, perhaps although I had been thinking Sidney Powell would be the one to clean house in the DOJ.
Perhaps FBI DIRECTOR?
E. X. P. O. S. U R. E.
I think you are right. But I believe AG Paxton was getting ready to look into pharma and covid. So maybe there were two reasons to strike now.
Bingo!
Just another way for them to make sure their rigged election stays in place.
I think they miscalculated.
Dems have been hyping Texas as a toss up state for what, 3-4 elections cycles?
With the influx of dem money supporting the likes of O’Rourke, it highlighted that the dem machine is making huge moves in the state.
Add that they have a serious Bush establishment issue, as AZ has a McStain establishment issue etc.
The impeachment of Paxton just verifies that no one should be surprised if Texas goes blue in ’24. They are working very hard at making that so and removing Paxton as AG only furthers that goal.
Paxton beat George P Bush for the nomination.
Definitely retribution by them.
And two weeks after I posted this hes targeted for impeachment. All signs pointing to a rigged primary and 2024
.
Heres the video again
A much missed speech he made. I posted it on Truth Social hoping it would get lots of attention.
The only thing that really matters or what matters most is being buried.
“We know it was rigged. Running on the election being rigged is a losing issue for Trump.”
This thought expressed with the spoken or written word is caused by Stockholm Syndrome – if we just don’t say anything, maybe they won’t do it to us again.
See also political codependency – they will stop beating me if I just don’t make them mad.
We don’t have a political future without clean elections. There is no point in cheering on candidates or prolonging misery if the heart to fix the core issue isn’t there. No more puppet presidents or officials of any kind.
Of, by, and for the people.
Governor of Texas Ken Paxton sounds good to me.
I find myself disagreeing with Sundance on this one.
Unfortunately, there is a bit of Stockholm Syndrome in the Republican Party of Texas. For many years we were held hostage by a small cabal of Uniparty Republicans who voted with Democrats to put a Speaker of the House in place who owed his authority to a Democratic minority. Representative Charlie Geren of Fort Worth is one of those few remaining Republican “cardinals” and he was one of the five members of the committee to recommend impeachment. He is the most liberal Republican in Tarrant County, the most conservative and only Republican of the five metropolitan counties in Texas.
But Representative David Spiller represents Jacksboro, just to the northwest of Fort Worth, and his constituents are some of the most MAGA in the state, and he voted as a member of the committee to recommend impeachment as well. You should not cavalierly apply the term RINO to him.
Nor would I apply that term to former Congressman Louie Gohmert, who sacrificed a safe MAGA seat in Congress to run against AG Paxton because he wanted to avoid this day coming and knew that, however effective AG Paxton had been and likely would continue to be in defending the state from the depredations of national Democrats, his ethical issues would eventually bring him down and thereby discredit MAGA in the process.
For after decades of using the Travis County DA to bring false charges against the likes of then State Treasurer Kay Bailey Hutchison, Congressman Tom Delay, and Governor Perry, thereby conditioning Texas Republicans to consider all charges brought against our elected officials as illegitimate, a conditioning that has only been heightened by the continued false charges against President Trump, the Democrats and Uniparty Republicans have finally found a Republican office holder against whom they can bring serious charges founded upon actual evidence.
How do we know this?
AG Paxton has asked the Texas House to fund a $3.3 million settlement with 7 former members of his staff who have accused him of serious abuse of power and corruption, in part due to alleged favorable treatment given a political donor, and who sued him for retaliation as whistleblowers. AG Paxton has vigorously defended himself in the court of public opinion by denying that there is ANY evidence to support their claims and accusing any who fault him as being partisan Democrats or RINOs. But apparently there is sufficient evidence for him to have agreed to pay his accusers $3.3 million for their utterly meritless claims. Assuming that every one of those plaintiffs is the Texas equivalent of Col. Vindman, you still have to come to grips with the fact that AG Paxton has agreed to pay this bunch of Vindmans $3.3 million for meritless claims and wants the taxpayers of Texas to foot the bill.
I understand that the Uniparty is using this to attack a staunch defender of MAGA. I also understand that there are grifters in the Texas MAGA movement who raise money by seeking the scalps of elected officials whose actual legislative record is pretty damn MAGA. Purity tests are pretty damn lucrative down here. But 2/3 of the Republicans in the House are not RINOs. They can’t be. Because 2/3 come from very conservative suburban and rural districts.
In conclusion, I do not disagree with Sundance that there are too many Uniparty Republicans in Texas, or blame President Trump for supporting someone who has loyally supported him through so much, and it galls me to no end that I find myself more in agreement with President Trump’s opponents on this one, but I think the trial in the Texas Senate is going to surprise quite a few members of MAGA as well as President Trump. In fact, it would not surprise me if AG Paxton resigns to avoid the presentation of this evidence and to enshrine his martyrdom for MAGA. Remember, those of you who watched the debate in the House, the 23 Republicans who voted against did not do so in vindication of AG Paxton, but in opposition to the process. They know there is evidence. And they praised the credibility of every member of the committee. Again, sufficient evidence exists to justify AG Paxton’s agreement to pay $3.3 million.
I’m just afraid that this may be one of those instances when a true scoundrel wraps himself in the flag to avoid accountability. Last refuge, indeed.
Offered as food for thought.
“Offered as food for thought”?
George P., is that you?
Offering “sour-grapes” is not very Texas Friendly.
Of course, you never really have caught on to what it means to be a Texan.
“Remember the Alamo” George P.?
A pretty impressive point by point takedown of my post.
Accused of being a Bush? Check.
Accused of not even being a Texan? Check.
What’s next? I’m smuggling illegals across our border?
“If the shoe fits…..”
Remember the Alamo?
P bush stole that from the daughter’s of the republic of Texas years ago.
He sure did.
Just like an interloper.
Everything you say may be true-I don’t know the details-but now isn’t the time to turn on a solid America first state AG. I’m disappointed in the judgment of TX house republicans.
There are no “red states” or “blue states” or “purple states” either.
The Uniparty just paints them whatever color they need, to accomplish their goals.
They have around 20 States they paint as “reliably red” so that the RINO Senators from those States will have “safe seats” and they do the same with House Districts, and for the same reason.
America is NOT “a 50/50 nation, with slightly more voting D” it is a single Uniparty run country, with currently over 60 percent MAGA perhaps more.
EVERY R State party is controlled by RINOS.
EVERY State leguslatures R caucus is controlled by RINOS.
THEY play a major roll in “painting” the State either red, blue or purple.
Good points, dutchman,
Over the years, the “gatekeepers” of our political parties have been replaced by anti-Americans.
As a result, they have had more influence than their actual “ideological”numbers would normally indicate.
Silly us …… but with President Trump’s help flushing them out, we have been identifying these traitors.
So, we “primary” the RINOs and “general election” the democrats.
Crooked elections guarantee power to the crooked.
IT’s unfortunate to see that the RINOS are the same in Texas as they are in Arizona. Maga Republicans like myself will help vote them out in the next election and unfortunately that will clear the field for the democrats. However Sundance is correct that if you peel the onion you will see that Texas has been a RINO state for a long time.
I am afraid that your political system is worse than you thought. It was infiltrated by way more anti American polititians than you realize. All coming out of the woodwork now. At least Trump now knows hwo to put into key positions when he starts his first term next year. God willing the elections is fair.
The sad thing is, these politicians aren’t necessarily anti-American.
They are pro their personal comfort and pocketbooks, have no ethics, and don’t care about succeeding generations.
The effect is anti-American, their intent is simply greed and/or a lack of morals.
Since it’s rare that a leopard changes their spots, the only way to fix this is to primary the offender with a MAGA person. How to identify those people with strong morals that have no skeletons in their closets is difficult.
To replace them will take honest elections which you dont have. 2024 will proberbly be a desiding factor. If Trump loses the primaries to Desantions, then you will know to powder up. I am ready on your part because it can’t go on like this.
Like Tucker, Paxton was investigating Big Pharma….
RINOS are the greatest threat to the future survival of America.
Where are the Texas voters who voted for this guy?
Why are they letting this happen? TX senators need
to hear from them.
Here’s your interactive map of Tejas so you can see what’s going on and start forming correlations.
(my DNA spawned out of Stonewall Co.)
House=Red, Senate=Black. You can drill down with the controls.
https://dvr.capitol.texas.gov/Senate/0/PLANS2168
Ain’t my state. If it’s yours, have at it.
It’s easier for my Florida: Just say “Tampa, Orlando, Palm Beach, Broward, JAX, and to some extent Miami (third world zone)”
I’m loading up on popcorn waiting to see how Trump eviscerates the Bush-class rinos in the Texas legislature. This could be fun to watch.
As a Texan, the corruption of Phelan is a well-known commodity, as is the corruption and ‘horse trading’ that goes on in the Texas House. That said, with an 85-64 majority in the House, that vote [121 in favor, 23 against, 2 not present]….and thus the degree of corruption….was a bit surprising. Someone (Phelan) is certainly afraid of something (hence the J6-like inquisition).
On the upside, the targets are clearly painted on those Rhinos that must be primaried in the next election cycle. We’ll see what happens in the Senate, as the vote in the House is a clear wake up call for true TX conservatives.
RINOs (Republican in name only), not Rhinos. Agreed, they must be primaried.
There is a reason why this was done. It wasn’t to stop his activism on behalf of conservative issues, rather it was to clear the
deck for the unchecked cheating and election fraud that will be directed from Austin in 2024. This paves the way for the final nail in the nation’s coffin.
Perfect example of why the Uniparty/Globalists don’t really care which party is in control. Both do their bidding. Texas Republicans are spending their time impeaching one of their own. Nothing like a circular firing squad to attract voters.
Notice they’re not doing anything about the invasion over their border. This is why I’m no longer a Republican. I’m MAGA only. I will not vote for RINOs. Sorry, you can vote for the lesser of two evils. I refuse to vote for evil at all.
We the Tea party for years said the same thing Texas is not RED. They have adopted UNAgenda 21 in there cities and some towns. Austin in a complete Liberal mess.Rep.Louie Gohmert even said ounce that they were moving to the left. Look at Florida where the cities are so called sustainable Unagenda 21/2030 put in by planners.Chamber all in Sarasota Miami Tampa. If you want to protect property rights you must look at your local for they are also signing on and getting money
through grants soon it will look like California!
The GOPe. Getting the picture yet?
Nowhere in thus post or the article can I find the stated reason or the real reason for Paxton’s impeachment.
Cliff notes, anyone?
you are not reading. it is there.
Opening Texas uniparty salvo for defeating Cruz and Trump in 2024.

Impeach the speaker! Republicans eat their own,
Democrats protect their own!!!
Didn’t know much about Paxton, but to watch Pravda pontificate about it, I knew something stunk. Just shows what these slime bags can do with the “law”
I am not surprised.
The UniParty is closing ranks…
This impeachment is obviously a Bush-directed hit job by the Dims with assistance of RINOs because the IG is over the target on Pfizer and vote fraud investigations. Paxton is getting to close to the truth and from the Commie view has to be eliminated. In fact, Pfizer probably directed Bush to “take care of him”.
Let’s see if they get the 2/3 vote needed to remove him permanently.
Still think we’re gonna vote our way out of this hot mess?
Texas has been going blue for years. You have to be delusional to not see it. I wanted to move there in the early 2000’s. Thank God I stayed in Missouri, where the state house has been holding the line.

I read about what Paxton allegedly did and it sounds pretty bad. Not sure why people are criticizing this impeachment. I live in Texas and am a die hard conservative, but we can’t have an AG doing this type of stuff. He’s been great on these issues but clearly he’s broken the law. These aren’t just make believe instances to get rid of a problem
if he has “broken” the law, why has there been no criminal court case filed against him.
understand clearly what is happening here. If there was a crime, a prosecutor would be pursuing criminal indictments. There are none. There is one particular case, where former AG staff were fired by the AG for attempting to sabotage his office by LEAKING TO THE PRESSED UNCORROBORATED INFORMATION. HE FIRED THEM. Then they took it to a court…did not ask to get their job back, but were represented by an ambulance chasing lawyer who wanted 30 million dollars…THE OFFICE OF THE STATE AG SETTLED THIS SUIT. (I can only speculate why they settled, but for the point here, it doesn’t matter). Then under normal rules, the STATE AG OFFICE sought to have it’s public funds pay the settlement..WHICH IS NORMAL…no state AG is held personally liable for civil suits. Criminal, yes, but not civil suits. THE state legislature, namely republicans led by a RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRAT, then proceeded to allege that THE STATE AG OFFICE seeking to pay the settlement with public funds was ..wait for it..unethical…not a crime mind you but they considered it a bad decision…unethical …a bad decision. Rather than just CHANGE THE LAW to prevent this public funds, which is NORMAL..they added this to a long stacked list of other “objections” for Paxton’s impeachment.
on the matter of representing a wealthy land and property developer. I don’t know the whole story on that. I just don’t have enough information to make an informed conclusion. But again, if there was some criminal activity…why not file a criminal case?
so how about YOU inform us all about all the details and illuminate what YOU KNOW…seems you have some answers and facts you would like to share.
