The Texas State House voted to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, effectively suspending him from legal authority within the state until an impeachment trial can be held in the State Senate. There are 20 articles of impeachment [READ HERE]. The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with most of the Texas state republicans voting in alignment with the Texas democrats.
People are shocked when I share the opinion that Texas is not near the top of the Republican states considered deep red “conservative” or freedom/values based. Of the mostly visible 30 states you might consider ‘conservative’ or ‘freedom balanced’, Texas wouldn’t appear in the top five; today’s vote in the Texas state house is just another datapoint in that direction.
TEXAS – In a history-making late-afternoon vote, a divided Texas House chose Saturday to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton, temporarily removing him from office over allegations of misconduct that included bribery and abuse of office.
The vote to adopt the 20 articles of impeachment was 121-23, with three members absent.
Attention next shifts to the Texas Senate, which will conduct a trial with senators acting as jurors and designated House members presenting their case as impeachment managers. Permanently removing Paxton from office and barring him from holding future elected office in Texas would require the support of two-thirds of senators. (read more)
The Texas Republicans who voted to remove the conservative AG, are the typical Texas RINO, Bush and DeSantis support group. Understanding the dynamic, President Trump has promised to fight the Texas Republicans as they attack Ken Paxton.
Attorney General Ken Paxton released the following statement:
when your own party tells you to get stuffed, you’re either a hombre or in the wrong party.
Or, Texans for certain, and citizens across the country now see better still how wide and deep political corruption truly has become.
That made no sense whatsoever
The TX house is essentially run by Democrats, and has been for a long time. Although Rs are the majority, the RINO speaker works with Ds to be installed and names Ds to committee chairs. The Senate is true to the R agenda, the House, not so much.
These RINOs do not speak for all Republicans or for all Texas Republicans. Looks more like political hostage taking to me.
He’s an hombre, for sure.
As a Texan, I totally agree with Sundance that Texas is not reliably red. People outside Texas expect to come here and see cowboys challenging each other in duels in the streets. New Texans say things like “We didn’t want to go complain to our neighbor because you’ll get shot doing that here”. The media creates a cartoonish image. Only the rural areas of Texas are reliably red, which is the same pattern in every other state.
How many times have the Republicans told Donald Trump to “get stuffed”, and HE’S no “hombre”.
First of all, “hombre” means a guy, dude, fella, male, etc.
Second, he has an “R” behind his name, but he isn’t part of the uniparty. That’s why he has to go. They fear him.
Sounds like the man has been doing his job.
Started tbt Covid 19 investigations all the ago
Told the drunk tx rep to resign 3-4 days ago
The govt hates us
Paxton won big by tbt voters
These bogus charges were debunked and the voters said so
Exactly what I think. He’s over the target, always has been, and they hate him for it and want to destroy him. Sounds a bit familiar, doesn’t it!
That’s a lot of RINOs. I’ve been trying to tell native Texans since I moved here from California. I can’t get any of them to protest with me, write their representative, etc. They want to think voting R is all they have to do and praise Abbott for sending illegals where they want to go. They’re stupid I’ve had to conclude.
Not all of us, Jayne…
But a lot, I live in Texas
That’s not just Texans Jayne, it seems to be universal laziness…someone else will do it, I need to watch a ballgame . Yes well, meanwhile, the nation is imploding.
I really have a difficult time taking anyone seriously who is still addicted to the whole sportsball obsession, especially the degenerate gambling, which is full steam ahead with normalization. If there was no more Fantasy Football or NBA BS, Noosecar or MLB which is like watching cactus grow, American men might find the time to get pissed off again.
I manage to be pissed off, even during football season.
Quite frankly ,I need the mental break from the sh1t show .
Don’t really watch any other sports, or much TV .
My brother watches all of it. When I try to tell him what is going on he has no frame of reference and he tunes me out. He loves President Trump, but is more worried about FSU football recruiting than actually reading something important not Tomahawk Nation. A least you are here sir, I give you points for that. There are far too many on our side who are woefully more zoned out on sports than my goofy brother.
I agree with you. I’m a competitor in my sport & relish the opportunity to let off steam.
Love the chance to cheer on those who’ve worked their butts off to achieve a goal.
Isn’t competition the basis for a free market? Although the woke corruption in sports is part of the ENEMIES’ playbook, not going to let them dictate my world & you’ll never take the love of sport out of me.
Full disclosure, I am completely biased against football from injuries suffered in high school that have haunted me daily for 30 years. Don’t put your kids into football, people.
There are no native Texicans in Austin … haven’t been since it was Californicated 12 years ago…
Tell them we Floridians said thanks for the illegals. Oh and the fentanyl was very thoughtful, y’all really shouldn’t have..
Oh my young lady if you only knew the knife fights that encompass Texas politics at times! I have seen it for the last thirty years!!! 😒
Seth Keshel has talked about that people in “blue” states like Colorado (not actually blue except maybe downtown Denver) are fighting harder than people in red states, because we see clearly every day what the enemy wants to do to us, and we’re fighting for our lives – maybe literally. Many of us have realized we literally have nothing left to lose that they weren’t going to take from us anyway.
So this war may be won in the “blue” states.
I think you’re right. The “red” states are a tougher nut to crack.
My cousin moved to CO to het out of IL. She has joined Liberty Girls to fight the Left. I hope it works.
Republican voters stupid?
Impossible, even though the Turtle, McCain, and one thousand other RINO’s get elected over and over again, yet they vote for Trump for president. OMG.
Primary all of them.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Austin is a cesspool completely removed from the rest or Texas.
What you say about Austin is true, and yet there is a free speech movement currently happening in the local comedy scene. Much of the activity centers around Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership but the movement started before Rogan moved to town.
Bingo, Bingo, Bingo, it isn’t referred to as BEIJING ON THE BRAZOS for nothing!
Abbott will appoint an interim AG while the Senate trial goes on.
Guess who Paxton defeated in his race for re-election?
George P Bush
Bets anyone??
Figures!!! This whole thing makes me mad!
Well, imagine that! Prescott, I presume. Named after his great grandfather who banked for the Nazis.
Abbott is toast of he appoints .George P as AG. The voters didn’t particularly like Paxton, but he is a brilliant AG and the soundly said NO to George P. Who has zero law experience. Abbott needs to appoint Eva .Guzman
Nope
That would be God awful
I voted for Paxton, not lil’ pee pee.
As did I, Gen.
The Bush family dynasty resented that.
Send illegals to their neighborhood.
What doesn’t kill us, mutates and tries again, Ned.
This impeachment speaks VOLUMES about that phony Abbott.
Problem is we can’t vote him out next cycle as he will be done
I never believed that Abbott won his primary with greater than 50% (on an allegedly low turnout ‘election’) right after his green energy failures killed Texans.
I think the Texas ‘elections’ are as illegitimate as they are almost everywhere else.
If you’ve got election computers, mail-in ballots, and/or dirty voter rolls, there was opportunity. You can’t assume there magically was no crime.
Yup spot on, plus it looks like from what I am seeing on social media in the last hour another RINO SQUISH in Kevin McCarthy may have just sold MAGA down the River and made a deal on the debt ceiling with FJB! Let’s see if he caved to the point where John Boehner would be proud of him!!! 😝
I’m more interested in what Gaetz and his other phony standard bearers will do. Call for a new Speaker election?
BTW, we already ‘defaulted’ in January but the Treasury Dept covered it up with some dodgy sleight of hand.
Texas has a Constitutionally weak governor because we saw what was coming during reconstruction and made the office weak. the liberal onslaught is the latest volley of the north imposing their will on independent minded people.
Trump is on this.
Wait till he is in charge!
Just another example that truly shows most politicians could care less about the people they represent, this country and our Constitution.
Imagine an NFL team where your own lineman lie down on every snap allowing their quarterback to get crushed.
This is what we have with so many Republicans. Gutless and anti-American people. For so many, they have sold their soul for money, power and control.
There are plenty of NFL teams that do that…watched Drew Bledsoe suffer almost career-ending sacks for 2 seasons at the hands of the Patriots linemen. It’s no wonder that the Patriots were losers too back then. Just like all the poor sport, loser RINOS in the Republican party.
Bledsoe ran like a giraffe on stilts, and he couldn’t get the ball out quickly, which is why he couldn’t get his job back from Brady. The worst thing was he couldn’t step up in the pocket to avoid the outside rush. High school QBs know to do that.
The Packers’ Reggie White used a couple of Patriot linemen in Superbowl XXXI like turnstiles, but he did that to a lot of NFL linemen. Bledsoe’s left tackle was 6-time Pro-Bowler, Bruce Armstrong.
There was just a story recently where some NBA teams were intentionally losing to get better draft picks.
It goes without saying that impeachment is primarily a political rather then a criminal process.
The rules are not as, shall we say stringent?
With a bit of embellishment from the typical lawfare agents, it goes a long ways to fooling people when paired with selective reporting from the enemedia.
The criminals are on the wrong side of the room.
Not that unusual in that the guilty accuse the innocent to deflect away from themselves.
How many times is bearing false witness spoken of in the Bible?
We are dealing with exceedingly wicked people in many places of authority.
Speaking of false witness, this was pastor Darrell Dumas’ sermon on liars last weekend.
A PRO-TRUMP pastor. Well worth a watch.

On a Saturday on Memorial weekend. Do they think no one will notice?
Yes
Coming to MAGA elected officials in a state near you soon!
-Dade Phelan has never once faced a Democrat in four races for his seat, running unopposed all four times.
If you were the Democrat and were not competitive electorally for the Texas legislature, but still wanted to run it… what would you do in TX-21?

Except ‘warheads on foreheads’ was all in the service of the New World Order. Neither Afghanistan or Iraq were legitimate.
That doesnt mean he risked his life for nothing.
The local Republicans have done this to us in NY.
I called the GOP leader, she said she would call me back. That was six months ago.
Yeah, Im in So Cal. I can get more done throwing sand. My installed representative is literally a Chicom from China
You see this and the alarm goes off. I didn’t know Paxton was on the Trump Train btw. You see it and with our training (yes I said that) we can smell a rat.
I don’t tell many people about my hobby. I learn to discern truth and see through bullshit. That is my hobby. A few have questioned me as to the importance. Not sure about some of you but its actually a pretty negative exercise for me overall.
I have learned so much especially in the last several years. I want to think it could be vital information as times get tough. I believe what we are doing is about the only thing that can save our civilization. I’m not even talking country anymore because already some parts of it are already lost. However we can coalesce in perhaps a particular state if necessary. LOL PS…I like Florida 😉
Read and apply scripture and pray for discernment of the spirit.
Wait till the jokers at the helm get done with my beloved birthplace.
Biggest problem is Paxton will pay the price for being America First. Our problem, being American is we will sit on our hands as this travesty unfolds. When will we act to stop this evil. Time is running short. Don’t look for the 24 election to bail us out.
Q.V. Kari Lake.
“Send lawyers, guns and money…”
Sorry to be a Negative Norman here… but we’re looking at two options for ’24… 1.) the election is stolen… again, or 2.) Trump is reelected… again… and all HELL breaks loose.
When Trump wins the next election, folks need to be prepared for the absolute Poop Storm that will follow. Gonna make 2017-2020 look like a Girl Scout Cookie drive.
If 2, I hope he becomes the dictator they caricature him as already.
Yeah, I said it.
Unfortunately you are pretty spot on. If the people who elected Paxton are not outraged at these actions, enough to get out and make some noise, then what would motivate them on anything? Ditto for the illegal invasion on their state’s borders. Are they out protesting and demanding their governor protect the border of Texas/USA?
Are the rest of us doing anything to protest the invasion or the stealing of our elections? Until enough of us get up and do something unified and active, this will keep happening.
I’m working as if my life and my family’s future depends on it. Are you?
I took part in local rallies, even went to the fabulous 2009 D.C. Tea Party gathering. Zero traction.
Those who sense that we are in real trouble don’t want to face the hard choices, keep silent, don’t even fly the flag anymore.
Some if us are too old & getting frail to do more than donate. The younger are too busy or don’t want to attract trouble or have been turned against our values.
My very conservative children dont like Trumps attacks against DeSantis & know that he is losing ground amongst their age group. I hear the rumblings among the older crowd of conservatives also.
Exactly how? I’m not being sarcastic, it seems all avenues are closed.
and what are we supposed to due to defend against these types of actions???????
“The Texas republicans who voted to remove the conservative AG, are the typical Texas RINO, Bush and DeSantis support group.”
Damn shame this happened since Paxton represents the people, not the party. He has repeatedly been undermined by party brass.
The war is on in the state government – they are hitting MAGA hard.
That’s exactly what’s happening. TPTB see they’re in serious danger of losing the presidential race, so now they’re attacking state level MAGAs.
They’re going for the kill, whatever it takes, and whoever they have to destroy. As far as their treachery goes, I doubt we’ve seen anything yet.
One of the first things President Trump needs to do when he gets back in the White House is appoint Paxton as a special prosecutor to clean up the DOJ & FBI.
sounds good to me!
*scratches chin*
Needs to go through DOJ, though, right? And BEST CASE, U.S. AG needs to be confirmed by Mitch McRino, Mitt Rino, Susan Whatshername, and the rest of the crew…
Maybe he can be “acting.” On War Room Mike Davis frequently gives a list of all the things he will do if President Trump appoints him as acting. He thinks he might last two or three weeks before they kick him out. Paxton can take over after that! And then President Trump can find another acting after that!
The republipukes are scum. They are destroying this country.
That scenario assumes that the GOP retakes control of the Senate and Cocaine Mitch is still around.
Trump needs to do a Clinton and fire all DOJ lawyers. When the FBI is shut down, Paxton will have nothing to do except prosecute former government employees. That’s okay, bankrupt them like that have tried to do to so many patriots.
The senate would never allow it
Dade Phelan is one of the worst “republicans” in the entire USA.
Sadly, he’s not. He’s no worse that Governor Kemp of GA or Governor Ducey of AZ. As a state rep, he’s not as dangerous as the Federal office holders.
There’s no doubt that Phelan is terrible, but he’s kind of typical for the GOP establishment.
Speaker of the Texas House in a GOP supermajority yet he dishes out committee chairs to Ds. He’s one of the worst.
Let me introduce you to speaker Robin Vos of WI.
He is right up there with Robin Voss, House speaker in Wisconsin.
Dude Failin’
and Dan Patrick Lt Gov, helped put him in speakership. he give Patrick cover — Patrick pretends to support conservative bills, Phelan tables them. When in fact Lt Gov is more powerful in controlling the House than Phelan.
Susan, sadly you’re right. Listened to Dan for decades (one of 1st radio station owners to broadcast Rush), but have seen him change since becoming a politician. There’s much more he can do. Our Senate is much more levelheaded & should stop this.
Perhaps Paxton will now run for Governor!
Sundance, a Treeper mentioned earlier today that you were hinting on Twitter about a coming 3rd party.
What are the odds that this 3rd party, and membership in it, will be criminalized?
I don’t know the odds of that, but I do know this to be absolute truth;
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” – President John F. Kennedy
It is said that sin dulls the intellect and this is outright idiocy on parade. The Establishment is under the delusion they can overcome a violent revolution against them and so have been steadily closing the door on every peaceful means of restoring our Constitutional government.
They have no clue how many despise them and how few would actually be willing to die to protect them from the righteous fury of men and women finally pushed too far.
And their intellects are so dulled by their own corruption the answer to both those questions (hint: way too many & not nearly enough) will utterly blindside them.
I hope you are right.
Haven’t seen the Tweet, but my feeling is that… AT THE RATE WE’RE GOING… 3rd party may be our only option to get Trump reelected… again. Then it’s a race against time… ballots will be locked down by “registration deadlines”… forms and procedures will be slow-walked… Marc Elias will pop his head up and sue all 50 states… Biden and/or Kah-Mah-Lah will say that three political parties is just too confusing for Black and Brown folk, and the DOJ Civil Rights Division will agree wholeheartedly… expect the Whole Nine.
I used to think the RNC could be remodeled from the inside… but I’m questioning that naive opinion at the moment.
The RNC and RGA are controlled by big money. You’d have to break that link to reform them.
I’m well passed the point where I care if they “criminalize” a third party or not.
If I believe that going third party is the best prospect for effecting positive change, no number of their unlawful diktats will change that.
Started calling Texas purple in 2012 and got lambasted for it.
Those people are awfully quiet now.
I could see it a mile away. Florida is next in my crystal ball.
Florida is already well on its way.
Yes. They’re going after the big electoral college states.
What? People are shocked the Garbage Party stinking up the place?
So what are we talkin’ now… not only will Texas secede, but only after being divided by a bloody Civil War? I bet Biden sends Federal Troops down there for that…
Abbot had a chance to stand up for Paxton and at the same time to ask for the RINO Speaker Dade Phelan to resign after showing up drunk the other day. I guess Abbot has shown which side he is on.
Abbott is a weak spineless fraud.
He is the only person in the Texas Government I really find functional.
I guess my phone call to the Speaker’s office…was too late. I am sure if I would have called sooner..
I kid, I kid.
I don’t even know what to say anymore. Except..
God bless us everyone, especially Ken Paxton
Not surprising-Unfortunately Texas is going the way of California.
All the big cities-Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin are becoming left if not already there. El Paso is toast.
Hell, Houston will probably elect Sheila Jackson Lee as mayor.
Austin is becoming a mini San Francisco and that’s the Capitol.
What you find is the Establishment Uniparty politicians don’t care what happens to the state as long as they retain power.
Sad to see
Same in Florida. The major population centers ooze Leftoids. Tallahassee elected Andrew Gillum for Mayor prior to his failed run and fall from Grace.
I suspect I’m like most non-Texans, feel this has something to do with undermining Trump, in the end.
Who can explain what’s going on here?
And, is POTUS sending a message to some people in Texas who might vote against him in the state Senate?
Help.
Remember Paxton is the only AG who took the 2020 election crime seriously – he brought the case to SCOTUS that Texas should not have to be under the administration of a president “elected” because Pennsylvania didn’t obey its own election laws. And SCOTUS said Texas doesn’t have standing to question the election of the president over it.
Paxton has been very strong for a long time.
See desertson’s comment a few comments above.
Only a year or so ago, that Cornyn was booed off the stage at the TX GOP convention.
but if he ran again for the Senate, he’d get reelected. That’s the problem: the boos don’t add up to votes or the system in TX is no different than PA, GA, WI, MI, AZ, NV, IL, CA, NY, etc…..
Everyone knew Abbott was a Bushie and was full of crap every time he said anything remotely right of center, yet he was reelected.
Texas is not as red as people would have you believe. If the democrats could field better candidates than Beto, they would win some of these state-wide races.
Wow. I never realized TX was so messed up. I was one of those who thought it was a pretty solid red govt. Guess that’s really not the case.
You can tell it wasn’t solid.
1) No state attempt at border control.
2) Energy grid is f’d up.
I’ve been posting about this all week….good to see PT come out swinging! Dan Patrick can end this RHINO stunt.
Sorry to say that Phelan is the Texas equivalent of Mitch McConnell. And my Rep, Andy Murr, is to Phelan what John Cornyn is to McConnell.
If you look at a list of Andy Murr’s donors, Dade Phelan is at the top of the list. When Dade calls, Andy snaps to attention.
I will never vote for Murr again.
Gary VanDeaver is my rep and he voted yes to impeach. The Republicans won the house but we have a speaker that puts Democrats as chairman over committees and democrats that votes with the Republicans.
It absolutely makes me sick and mad. My husband and I called yesterday and today.
It doesn’t do any good to call anymore. They do what they want because they know they won’t get push back and they know they can get away with it. I’M TIRED OF IT ALL!!!!!!
It seems that he may have been taken out because he has been fighting Big Pharma.
He should talk to Tucker about that.
It’s almost as dangerous as taking on the Intelligence Community.
I’m sure he’s quite aware of the dangers. Remember he was the one who brought Texas’ suit about the 2020 election to the Supreme Court.
These people are just vile……just disgusting!😠
Guess they’re running out of time for this legislative session and need to get rid of the only one standing between the voters and their poll cheating schemes.
GOP delenda est
The RINO scorched earth party has begun, immediately after DeSaster announced. What a shocker.
fitting name you’ve got
the party of the ass run as Republican, it’s the only way they can get elected.. the jackasses turn out in the primary
ies and vote for the ass running as the meat brain .. Yes the they allow this … Paxton has stood in their way for a very long time .. even the governor was a jackass before he became a meat brain.. this is nothing more than a political hit job..
On the website, there is no phone number for the TX Speaker of the House.
Well, “A’ll bee!”
The information I found is that the phone number is (512) 463-1000.
https://www.house.texas.gov/members/speaker/
look for his local office number
Do you wonder if your Texas House seat is occupied by a turncoat that voted to impeach Ken Paxton for calling the corrupt Speaker to resign?
Wonder no longer…….
hope this image doesnt take up too much space
Brilliant map! Should shut up the Texans that claim everything is red outside the cities.
There is a lot of truth to what I am going to say, whether you want to hear it or not.
When I visit “blue states,” I urge attendees to stay put and fight for their homes. The illusion of “red state” sanctuaries is for the most part, an illusion. Texas showed you clearly today.
As William Wallace might say – “at least a while” you may find joy. Seclusion in Idaho, lower taxes in Tennessee – but until we clear out the rampant corruption in America, there is but one political party.
There is peace of mind here. Bloom right where you are planted.
—Seth Keshel
Except California!
From what I see there are plenty of conservatives and moderates in CA, you just have to find each other and do the precinct strategy.
Is it very interesting that President Trump has his finger on the pulse of the Texas Legislature when most Texans aren’t even aware of what is going on in the legislature. A lot of people underestimate Trump. It’s a mistake.
This probably has a lot to do with AG Paxton calling for Tx House Speaker Dade Phelan to resign his position after Phelan presided over a House session while being visibly drunk.
Remember the Texas RINO’s are red on the outside and blue on the inside.
Nanzi was drunk a lot on the US House floor. People who are drunk can get vicious when you point out the obvious.
I suspect when a video surfaces (as it has) of Phelan drunk (or drugged) on the floor of the House, it is not the first instance or issue — just the first publicized evidence. O if we only could see all the evil these guy do.
Here is a very rare occasion where I must disagree with this take on Paxton. I have a personal friend that has exposed corruption in Texas for years. He warned the Republicans about Paxton for years, before he rose to this office. He has also taken on Hillary and fought the FBI for years.
Do some research and you will find that the LARGE number of Republicans voted for this impeachment for a good reason.
Here is one of many articles I could share:
https://www.dallasnews.com/news/watchdog/2017/02/16/meet-the-craziest-but-bravest-texas-lawyer-who-took-on-ken-paxton-federal-judges/
Good article on the attorney Clevenger but a lot was left unsaid regarding Paxton. But if what you’re saying is true, you would think Trump would have a deeper understanding of this.
Personally I’m not involved in Texas politics other than knowing the Bush family still has great influence which gives me pause. I will say in the battle against illegal immigration you won’t find a greater fighter than Paxton.
One of the weaknesses of Trump is that he occasionally speaks without doing the research. There also my be another reason to speak on this issue.
Trump is the ONLY man I know that understands the overall forces that we are fighting. He is our only real fighter and I hope he can overcome the scale of corruption that we are facing.
My friend, Ty, has seen the huge scale of corruption in Texas and has personally fought it for over a decade. Perhaps Trump is simply taking a strategic opportunity to expose the corruption among the Republicans. Why are the Republicans just now going after Paxton?
In politics one may take an opportunity on one topic in order to direct the attention to a much larger issue. This is likely the strategy here.
I don’t know, I was just asking for more information on AG Paxton’s corruption. I read something about him selling securities without a license, but the article didn’t go further. It’s hard for me to comment without further information.
IMO, what cooked Paxton’s goose is him trying to get us hard working Texicans to pay for his $3.3 million settlement. That is exactly what initiated the whole impeachment process. I don’t give a shit who you are, don’t stick me or any of the Texas taxpayers with your settlement bill.
disagree.
“Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against President Joe Biden’s administration on Tuesday for “illegally pre-approving” migrants to enter the United States through a mobile app that Paxton argues encourages illegal immigration.”
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2023/05/26/texas-sues-biden-administration-for-illegally-pre-approving-migrants-through-mobile-app/
Sorry, I must have missed reading the 20 articles of impeachment.
What was the reason for impeachment…other than typical dirty Texas Dem politics.
that is the reason for it. The allegations/articles are there as a distraction. The REAL Reason is same reason they impeached President Trump. For getting in the way.
Okay, I dug a little deeper. Seems these are old issues that came up before Paxton was recently reelected.
Texas politics can be dirty, especially with the Dems.
Lived in Lubbock 25 years and then in Austin another 25 years.
why bother digging it up ….. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ALL politics is dirty. and no one is a saint
Right up there with whatever the reason was for President Trump’s impeachments.
Well, we can’t say that the Republicans never impeached anybody! LOL
I live in Texas and there is already a move to recall Phelan!!! If AG Paxton survives the Senate Trial, I don’t doubt that he will move to call for a Grand Jury to target and go after and indict Phelan because he has his own skeletons in the closet to contend with! Stay tuned!!! 🤔
Where do I sign the recall petition??? I’m holding my pen as I type……
Please please please!! Do it!! Restore our faith in Texans!
I’m from Texas and can’t believe this happened
And nobody inTexas is talking about this
Hats off to AG Paxton for standing up for what’s right. The tree of liberty has to be fed with blood in order to prevail. Me thinks that we are on the precept of much blood being supplied as it’s necessary in order for this country to survive. I will not kneel to this depraved, disgusting bs. I’ve known for the past 10yrs that this sh!t will be coming to my front door. Literally. They simply will not stop. So, bring it……
This sleazy stunt by the R-Texas State Reps is unacceptable!
The very idea of calling this impeachment vote on the solemn occasion of Memorial Day weekend.
A G Paxton was elected by Texans.
Dade Phelan is a Phony.
i agree. These whatever you call them have no shame. Certainly not for our Country on Memorial Day.
I think it will all backfire very badly.
Yes, like everything they have done since the tea party, their defensive actions are sacrifice plays, short term benefit but long term loss of territory.
ET TU BRUTE?
Aren’t the republicans just creating a plausible alternate explanation for their being defeated after the democrats steal the next election?
“Dade Phelan killed the border bill at the last minute… a week later he shows up on the Texas floor so drunk he can barely speak. This is the kind of clown show going on in Texas… The Texas Attorney General called on the speaker to resign for his conduct…”

The Book of Esther. I wonder if “Dude” Failin’ has ever read it.
Phelan reminded me of an auctioneer the way he speaks. The irony !
