Florida Congressional Representative Byron Donalds appears on Chuck Todd’s Meet the Press Sunday to debate the current debt ceiling negotiations and push back against the popular corporate media narrative. Todd represents the unsufferable leftist side of the political theater, maintaining current political pretenses and acting as a guardian for the nonsense.
Todd’s talking points around the debt ceiling are weak and ridiculous. Biden presents no budget, congress advances no budget, and the theater of pretending continues. Donalds does a good job in general terms, but really the starting point to tear down the theatrics would be best if the first statement from a political voice would be to ask Todd why he is so dependent on the notes. ‘Get rid of your notes Chuck, and let’s talk reality’, would be a better framing. Always put the engineers on defense.

Pretty impressive stuff by Donalds, but just when I get all excited by a politician, two words kill it for me; Ukraine and Jan 6th. With all his bonafides, he still wants to spend our money on a coke head Nazi and he won’t say a word in support of the people that have been in jail for over 2 years in DC.
I was impressed as well, would love to know his honest thoughts on the whole reason that there was a peaceful protest by the MAGA Patriots that was hijacked by the Federal Government on the day of January 6th. The whole reason the government focuses on what they instigated with their people that day is to take the attention off of the reason the Patriots went there that day. To show their concern with a stolen election. They don’t want us to focus on the fact the election was stolen and they want to shame us for what they did and blamed us for that day.
BTW, I don’t really think that he indicated that he was for spending money for Ukraine, he was answering Todd about setting caps on defense spending and he said that because of the war in Ukraine and threat of war in Taiwan we want to make sure OUR military is where it should be. I agree, the US needs to take care of us! Not Ukraine.
I agree. His mention of Ukraine and defense spending has more to do with the possibility of it breaking out to a wider gloval conflict (or possible nuclear talks get worse).

I would like to see some of these Republicans adopt the Democrat/Progressive attitude towards protesters when discussing J6. We’re always lectured that no matter how heinous the actions of protesters may be, we should consider what drove them to such extreme behavior in the first place.
Yes, there was some regrettable violence at the mostly peaceful Capitol protest on J6. But what provoked such anger? The Democrat push for vote-by-mail which is, in effect, “late voting” which delivered a massive vote spike for Biden in the hours, days, and weeks AFTER election day. Vote spikes that were not only improbable but downright impossible. And this came after months of gaslighting from the Democrats and the MSM that for the first time since the 2000 election we wouldn’t know the winner of the race on Election Night, but rest assured in the end Biden would win an improbable come from behind victory. Guaranteed.
THAT’S why the protesters on J6 were so angry. The Democrats telegraphed that they were going to use vote-by-mail, slow counting, and late voting to ensure a Biden victory. And then, in full view of everyone, they did precisely as they promised. If the Democrats AREN’T cheating, they sure seem to be going out of their way to make it look like they are.
Not only late voting. They injected ballots tied to dead voters, duplicate voters, or voters no longer living in the state. You need to add that to be completely on point.

Donald’s is a decent guy. I can honestly say I’ve never really watched ANYONE on MSNBC or CNN or any of the other channels, but now I also no longer watch FOX news. I get my news online only, sometimes from video clips. It would have been interesting, IMPO, to see a ticket of Trump/DeSantis, but I think that’s now off the table. They might have worked very well together (for the country) but now we’ll never know.

What is so sad about all of this, but is oddly heartening at the same time, is that this nearly all powerful government that is working so tirelessly to subjugate us cannot find better spokesmen than the morons like Chuck Todd.
