Timing is everything, and the timing here is simultaneously transparent and inappropriate.
Today the Florida Senate scheduled a change via committee vote of the “Resign to Run” law for next Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:00pm. The intent of the change is almost certainly to permit Governor Ron DeSantis to formally announce his 2024 candidacy without having to resign his job as governor.

Irony: Florida law change scheduled today, same date as Trump indictment announced. Florida law change committee vote scheduled Tuesday 4/4/23, same date as Trump traveling to Manhattan for his arraignment.
We will probably learn in about five years, through some FOIA request, or leak, that DeSantis was directly involved in the decision to indict Trump. This is how corrupt and incompetent these people are.
If not Mr. DeSantis, then his handlers.
That is not even a question.
A word to the wise, do not poison the well unless you are absolutely sure you will never have to go back and get a drink of water.
United we stand, divided we fall, Aes0ps Fable of the bundle of sticks, if the bundle is untied the sticks can easily broken one at a time, but if the bundle is left intact it can not be broken. Be careful what you wish for.
I will unite with God, to the best of my ability.
This is not a battle between flesh and blood, but against powers of the air and the unseen realm of evil.
But it’s being waged here, in this realm, RIGHT NOW.
The unseen realm of evil is right here right now.
And God expects us to help save this gift of freedom He bestowed upon us. His son overturned the tables of the moneychangers, so why should we do any less??
Who are we supposed to unite with? Those who seek our end?
Never.
Who DeSantis REALLY is can’t be unseen. I’d say he is toast, but TPTB managed to put an openly senile President in the WH.
DeSantis ought to have the basic political acumen to know that he is being used as a “spoiler.” He should bloom where he is planted and continue to be effective. He has no place in the White House and would never actually get there. His opponents merely want to lure him out of the Governor’s mansion. That much is obvious to all. Maybe except him.
Paul Capobinco:
I completely agree with you Mike. I think the best thing for DeSantis if he’s smart, is to support Trump but not team up with him. He is young and has many years ahead to run. Besides Florida would feel betrayed, after giving him th mandate to run this state for 4 years. If he betrays that trust then we will rebel against them, but if he stays he will be in high esteem. A perfect example is Sarah Palin she can’t get elected for dog catcher. He’s time will come but not yet. Wait Ron don’t do it!!
Ron will never be trusted by his voters again. Once it became clear for whom those phantom ballots, voted by the printers, that were stacking up in the SOEs’ offices before Midterms WEREN’T (Crist,) then that big red margin took on a whole new light.
Oh, lordy. Ronnie has willingly and knowingly been a pawn of the Globalists since before college days. A “Poor blue-collar boy” from Jacksonville (as he refers to himself) doesn’t get into a Yale secret society.
If, by hook and crook Donald J Trump is not on the ballot, I will write his name in.
Coincidences no doubt.
I think DeSantis’ smart move is to 100% support Trump for 2024 and run in 2028. Leaving to run for President after he was just re-elected, makes him look too ADHD and not committed to his constituents. He should finish as Governor and then join Trump’s cabinet for the last couple years, then run.
I think he’s being seduced by the money and the people in his ear. Don’t be a Jeb!, make the smart move.
No, Meatball, you’re not an executive kind of guy
I’m ok w Turkey, he’s up front about not being a republican.
LOL. Autocorrect. Turley.
The best nickname I’ve heard for RdS is Sundance’s Bunker Boy.
I live in Florida and will NEVER again vote for Ron DeSantis! He has been a great Governor, but the “Bush Family” and Carl Rove, are pushing this due to their utter hate for Donald Trump! I have never not voted in any election, but if this comes pass, I will leave the choice blank. DeSantis is under the illusion (or maybe not) that having the “Bush” family behind him, will get him votes. Well, good luck on that one! Once a Trump Supporter from the first, and second rally in Tampa, I will always believe in and support Donald Trump the man and his values!
Your gov. has been wilingly complicit with the Globalists, especially the Bushes, since college days. The “poor blue-collar boy from Jacksonville”, as he bills himself, was in a secret society at Yale, then on to plum naval JAG assignments, them home to jump into politics. Where did he get the money” Where did he get the connections? You or I certainly couldn’t jump from the service to politics that quickly…
