Tucker Carlson has kicked a hornet’s nest by broadcasting the January 6, 2021, footage on his television show and outlining the violent insurrection narrative as a false premise. Given the nature of the entire apparatus of government and media that is now united against him, it will be interesting to see if Carlson’s TV show survives.

IMHO, there are two possibilities explain the Schumer speech, in which he openly ordered Murdoch to order Carlson not to release the rest of what he has. Either he had to do that in public because Murdoch, Ryan, and Carlson aren’t taking his calls.
Or he had to do it in public to demonstrate to those who might go wobbly and start blowing whistles that he is still able to issue such an order and have it be obeyed by one of the richest men in the world in charge of one of the largest media corporations in the world.
So what happens if his order is not obeyed?
