Baltimore is such a shining example of minorities selected to high office….now we have one forced on us by the corrupt Maryland DemoRAT Machine as governor.

I’m pretty sure these so called candidates (both side btw) put their names in the hat to launder money…knowing they have no chances of getting any exposure and less of voters …the play seems to be to grub for campaign money and that gets silently paid out…and everyone gets paid. The more I look at these unviable so called candidates, the more I am convinced it is simply a method to USE the campaign contribution system and get a pay off ..for something else.
what IS that something else, I cannot say for any certainty with any specific loser candidate. But it seems to be from a common sense aspect, you don’t really want to be “spending” money on a project that would have less than a chance of zero to produce any reward. So I’m leaning toward some kind of “legal fraud” that goes on…some scheme to launder money.
maybe it’s this. Lets say 100 candidates (just number I decided to throw out there to make an exaggerated point)…and none of them are credibly capable of making it into the top 100. But they all do receive some kind of campaign contributions…certainly this has to happen. What do those 100 people do with the money? does it get “forwarded” to a candidate in the party who would never be able to receive those funds directly from donors/pacs/ngo’s. Is the rules set up to disallow direct contribution in certain circumstances, but would allow “failed” candidates in the same party to combine and relay them to other candidates? hmm…
I’ve been looking also at this “red box” exploit. Apparently, it is a loophole within the FEC law that a candidate can be funded well in excess of the limits of the law…as long as the “reason” for the funding appears to be “something else”. It’s the most peculiar exploit that the FEC doesn’t seem to be interested in investigating.
Also looking at how candidates’ family members, business associates, corporate “partners” seem to get very wealthy during these campaigns. land awesome jobs…land and property deals…big time stock and investment stakes. None of it seems legitimate, and yet there doesn’t seem to be any law that prohibits this common practice.
I suppose this is one of the reasons why “investigators” are not really interested in combing over the finances of hunter biden…we can debate about the obvious red flags..but the question is: is there a law that forbids the son of a president, the son of a vice president..the child, wife, brothers, in law of a member of the USG from landing great deals and financially rewarding investments? It’s really a large part of the corruption in DC and also in states. We can call it cronyism and nepotism…but is there an actual law that forbids it? And if so, like with “red boxing” are there so many ways to get passed it and exploit the loopholes that the law is effectively meaningless and pointless?
I’m probably answering my own questions here. My mind wanders.
