The approved GOPe script, a construct of multinational financial influence and background motive, was/is intended to write President Donald Trump out of the Republican political framework. Governor Huckabee-Sanders went along with the plan. She, along with all of the non-pretenders, knows this, as all of them do. It is a sad acceptance to realize just how metastasized the political cancer has become, and how few can hold firm against the power of the corrupt political apparatus.
As I said last night, Huckabee-Sanders points about the damage from the Biden administration were accurate and well delivered.
That said, her acquiescence to the machinery of the professional republican system is both disheartening and pathetic.
Oh sure, she will backtrack sometime soon, filled with artificial pearl-clutching prose and promises of mistaken intent…. that’s the way it rolls. CTH noted several weeks ago that based on the background moves in advance of Ron DeSantis’s reelection efforts, it became increasingly clear the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA) was going to play a bigger role in 2024 in full alignment with the GOP establishment.
In some ways the leveraging of the RGA is the difference between the Big Club’s 2016 (Jeb!) effort, and the 2024 (Ron!) effort. It was obvious in 2022 with the amount of money the RGA poured into the FL governor’s coffers, a reelection race with a consistent double point lead, the RGA was not doing it for the 2022 reelection – they were building the DeSantis war chest for 2024.
The DeSantis management and branding group are in alignment with, and in close coordination with, the RGA.

The Big Club is fooling many, but not here, not now and not today – or ever.

Both candidates can be from the same state. There is nothing to prevent them from running together. The electors from that state could not vote for both.
Article II states: “The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”
This was there when the first place was president and second was for VP. When that was changed the language remained. If it is close, it would make a difference.

At the time they did not enter the field to create or amass wealth, they did not do it for a golden pension, they did it to give back what they could to the society that had made them what they were. A time when the populace elected a local representative that had been an inspiration to their community. Then came the party system and the money entered the equation, and it has been downhill ever since. HS’s rebutal last night in referrencing the new younger blood theme is an indication that the GOP is going to follow in the footsteps of the FAB Four of the Democratic party. People running for office before they have gained any real life experience other than gaining a dubious degree in a questionable field, are photogenic and egomaniacs should never be considered for public office. How many American Senators and Congressmen/women would there be if there were term limits and madatory retirement without that gold plated pension? The argument brought forward would be that only the rich could run for office, my counter arguement is why should someone with no personal financial experience be allowed into a position of imposing a tax structure that they have no knowledge of! The political class from both parties wish to eliminate Trump in 2024, if they accomplish that democracy will have evolved into selective tyrany.
Imposing term-limits will require a constitutional amendment and that will never, ever happen. It’s a total pipe dream, same as the convention of states.

I’m a Trump supporter, still trying hard to wanna like DeSantis…almost done, here.
DeSantis has been turning into a tyrant on several issues, like the Disney thing.
BTW, Florida is going to be really pissed at DeSantis in a year or two. He changed HOA financial requirements that will end up tripling most peoples monthly HOA fees. House and car insurance is impossible to get or very expensive.
MAGA is bigger than Trump. It better be or it will die.
What happens when Trump passes away like all humans do at some point? Nobody else good enough to satisfy purist leadership requirements of keyboard warriors?

So then who is the other MAGA candidate for 2024? Trump is MAGA. Everybody else is just hanging on this his coattails to take advantage of his popularity. That’s why “win red” uses his name to raise money for the GOPe. They’re not getting a damn penny from me.
We had what we believed was a solid MAGA candidate for governor in AZ. Heck some were even buzzing about VP status with PDJT if my memory serves. Then the fraud happens, she narrowly loses, is still out there fighting, as is Abe Hamadeh, who only lost by under 300 votes out of 2.5 million cast, and they’re all but forgotten.
MAGA apparently only works for winners. If one isn’t a winner, their philosophy and zeal are forgotten. PDJT was a winner, once. If they’d have perfected the steal in 2016, we wouldn’t be having this conversation about PDJT because there never would’ve been PDJT and he’d have been forgotten beyond being the real estate magnate and TV personality who ran for POTUS.
Tough world out there.
How many of the GOP “winners” are fighting for election integrity right now? How many of them ever even mention the possibility that we were cheated? How many of them are fighting for a secure border? And I mean actions, not words. How many are fighting against stealing tax payer money to give to the Ukraine so they can continue to fund the slaughter? Please give me names and real examples, not BS speeches that have never been backed up by actions.
And FTR, I would love it if Trump named Kari Lake as his running mate. I don’t care if she’s inexperienced either. She will be loyal and she knows exactly how to handle the disgusting legacy media scum.

Sarah Sanders praised Trump’s achievements, but didn’t use his name, she seemed to give the Republicans credit for all this:

Agree, these weren’t Republican achievements Sarah listed, they are TRUMP achievements that the Republicans fought against tooth and nail, and she did not acknowledge any of that. The culture war efforts of DeSantis and Sarah began with TRUMP, too. As a candidate in ’15 TRUMP hit the ground running against (Marxist) political correctness. PT45 also had Chris Rufo to the White House way back in ’19 or ’20 and that’s whose work the RGA is using to try and fix the CRT disaster Republicans – with the exception of TRUMP – helped create.
Absent PT45, no way DeSantis, Sarah and Republicans go anywhere. Americans are fed up with political bs.
In fairness, PDJT ran on the GOP ticket and was nominated as the GOP candidate. The party of course is going to take credit for one of ‘theirs’ even if we make the distinction between GOP and MAGA and don’t personally identify with establishment GOP philosophy.
If PDJT had run, and won, as an independent/3rd party, then GOP could still take credit but it would be obvious they were lying. Here, they’re still lying but it’s not so obvious, except to us.
I think the establishment GOP, as one arm of the Uniparty, will continue. It’s a charade that’s working. Until it doesn’t. If that day comes, I fear the country will have far more deadlier concerns than non-working political parties.
Do not forget Ms. Lindsey Graham. He also is in the pockets of the the Dems and Big Government.
Kevin McCarthy is flying by the seat of his pants, presently. We have yet to see if he returns to his “true colors.”
Does this new generation if GOP leaders imagine the left and the deep state won’t come after them as they did Trump? Or do they just not care? Are they fine with doing nothing more than arranging deck chairs on the Titanic?
IMO, the formation of what we call the Uniparty has been slowly going on over the last century. The ‘new’ GOP leaders will be folded into the machine and groomed to take it into the future. To put into terms from my world, we old time journeymen take young apprentices under our wings and not only teach them the skills but also teach them the game, indoctrinating them into the machine of the trade, in my case being a machinist.
Be too much of a rebel and the machine eats one. Shunned, cast out, lied about, run out of the trade, many, many ways to get rid of ‘problems’. I don’t like that, rubs me the wrong way, so went out on my own and got out of the game. Still, the game rules. Just like in politics.
A bit off this topic but relates to DeSantis. I’m sure many have seen Lindell going off on RDS regarding a hearing with RDS introducing and gushing over the Dominion attorney Libby Locke(?). And everyone knows that when Lindell latches onto to something he doesn’t let go. This is the attorney suing everyone and their brother for Dominion.

I remain convinced that we will never get justice and our rights restored without a tax strike.
We can take a less direct approach with economic warfare and work stoppage and joining the alternative peer to peer economy.
I did it by removing all assets from the financial industry, closing my business, and retiring early on a token social security stipend. One old dude they don’t care about. Ten million, yeah that’ll get their attention.
If people aren’t working, no withholding (taxes). Don’t buy establishment ‘stuff’, no sales taxes, fees and excises. Ride a bike. Give the insurance industry the finger. Heck, don’t buy any insurance at all. How many centuries did humans survive without slaving away to pay insurance?
Going further will require civil disobedience. That’s personal. I’ve no problem doing it since my family is dead and I have no problem joining them as a result of war. Others may not. Still, plenty of peaceful, lawful, things we can do to be ungovernable.

The problem is that the mass majority of us are wage earners who don’t get a say in what the government takes out of our pay checks. We the the first one’s the IRS comes after too because we can’t afford to fight back financially and still eat and pay our bills.
