Just as Lou Dobbs has accurately and presciently called the Wall Street play-by-play for decades, amid the multinational schemes of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce & Business Roundtable, Mr Dobbs accurately notes the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA) as the originating approvers for the prepared rebuttal. The approved GOPe script, a construct of multinational financial influence and background motive, was/is intended to write President Donald Trump out of the Republican political framework. Governor Huckabee-Sanders went along with the plan. She, along with all of the non-pretenders, knows this, as all of them do. It is a sad acceptance to realize just how metastasized the political cancer has become, and how few can hold firm against the power of the corrupt political apparatus.
As I said last night, Huckabee-Sanders points about the damage from the Biden administration were accurate and well delivered.
That said, her acquiescence to the machinery of the professional republican system is both disheartening and pathetic.
Oh sure, she will backtrack sometime soon, filled with artificial pearl-clutching prose and promises of mistaken intent…. that’s the way it rolls. But once you see the strings attached to the marionettes you can never unsee them. Authenticity, trust and integrity are lost in sunlight moments when decisions are made.
CTH noted several weeks ago that based on the background moves in advance of Ron DeSantis’s reelection efforts, it became increasingly clear the Republican Governor’s Association (RGA) was going to play a bigger role in 2024 in full alignment with the GOP establishment.
In some ways the leveraging of the RGA is the difference between the Big Club’s 2016 (Jeb!) effort, and the 2024 (Ron!) effort. It was obvious in 2022 with the amount of money the RGA poured into the FL governor’s coffers, a reelection race with a consistent double point lead, the RGA was not doing it for the 2022 reelection – they were building the DeSantis war chest for 2024.
The DeSantis management and branding group are in alignment with, and in close coordination with, the RGA.
At CTH we accept things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.
The Big Club is fooling many, but not here, not now and not today – or ever.
Once you see the strings on the marionettes, you can never return to that moment in the performance when you did not see them.

Katie Britt–who was elected to the United States Senate in the 2022 midterms to represent Alabama–made her whole campaign about having “new blood” (a crude way to put it, in my opinion) in Washington & that her generation (as a 40 year old) needed to step up. Mrs. Britt is clearly establishment & used to work for the outgoing Senator who was retiring. 🙁
I actually think MAGA does need plenty of new and younger blood.

We have similar experiences driving the highways and by-ways, Ausonius, even, as you say, to this day.
Even in the most obscure, isolated places with a mobile home or two, there are Trump flags, etc. which likely are hardly ever seen because there are few passers-by. It’s stunning, and heartening, really.
His appeal and support seem to be almost stronger in those who have the least amount of material wealth, those you think who could be “bought off” by the innumerable socialist programs and “handouts” from the Democrats.
In my neighborhood ( Western KY), I still see a lot of 2020 Trump signs and flags.
I am starting to see more 2024 gear show up in yards and on vehicles.
Most of them are not replacing the old signs, just adding new ones. It’s as if they want you to know exactly where they stand and don’t give a damn what anyone thinks about it.
Some of my more affluent friends watch way too much MSM and have fallen into the DeSantis camp.
But like you, I sense that the people my grandmother used to call “the salt of the earth” are the ones really dug in for President Trump.
Driving from my home here in Colorado to visit my family down in southern Arizona as I drove through the Native American Reservations I was pleased to see many TRUMP signs and flags up.
The world may not know it but we do.

I’m thinking that the places you mention probably have more people toughened up by tough times and harder lives. It’s my opinion that people like that are not easily “purchased” or moved from their convictions. They more accurately represent the real American spirit that made this such a great nation to begin with.
We see the same signage still up for PDJT here in southwestern Oregon of all places. In fact, 29 of Oregon’s 36 counties voted overwhelmingly republican, but 7 counties around Portland out number the other 29 by about 400,000 votes in a state of 4 million people. Sad, but we keep voting and hoping.
It is also not just our numbers but the intense of the resolve of our support.
We are rock solid.

Well, although it can be argued that their motives are more towards self interest, RINOs have traditionally voted for lower taxes. RINOs have traditionally supported more conservative criminal laws. RINOs have traditionally supported a narrower scope for social assistance programs.
In those areas, Democrats have done the opposite. So at least having Republicans in control of Congress and state legislatures is a bit better, all things considered. Remember, I say “a bit better”. It’s a small difference from a overall perspective, but it’s there nonetheless.

It may be unfortunate to note, but we don’t exactly have the luxury of being picky these days. You go to war with the army you have, not the one you wish you had. How many Governors are all friend and no foe? Are there any at all? If there are any, whose the CRT hometown favorite?

I remember listening to Lou Dobbs and Tom Tancredo, two of the lone voices preaching against amnesty, globalism and illegal immigration in the 1990’s. Fake conservative Michael Medved would bring them on his show so he could use his usual lies to try and discredit them.

I think he ran for governor in Colorado a couple of times years ago but obviously that state is too far gone.
I began listening to Medved during the cursed Obama years. I worked late hours and would listen to his radio program on my long drive home at night. I could count on him and Mark Levin to point to everything wrong with Obama and his administration.
Then came 2015/16. Both men became radical antiTrump maniacs.

And it would be much easier if I could just take Sarah Huckabee Sanders at face value (and Ron DeSantis for that matter. )But it’s impossible at this point. A year ago I was all in on the culture war…now I think it’s a manufactured strategy of the RNC consultant class to dupe the rubes.
I have to be optimistic though. My son is going to vote for the first time next year. I can’t be dark and nihilistic. I have to give him something to hope for. I voted for the first time in 1985. Such a different time and place. So I keep plugging away, cursing and yelling on Twitter. At least I still have that sacred 1A right.

The damage has been done. The Biden inflation has set a new baseline of prices hurting working families and killing those on a fixed income. Millions of new D voters are being created and, if populated in the right locations, voter fraud schemes can be dropped. A new FIB HQ, doubling its size and doubling it efforts against American citizens. The list of losing goes on and on.
A caller to a local conservative radio talk show sums it up for me. The caller was so proud of himself, he and his wife had a brilliant revelation. He was giddy with his brilliance. “We were big Trump supporters but we realized that with RDS you can have everything that you have with Trump but without the coarseness !”.

We probably all need to buckle down and learn the rules in our own localities regarding write-in candidates, because like everything else they are undoubtedly different all across the country.

Admittedly, and naively, I used to hold different hopes for Ms. Huckabee, not anymore, and this is really depressing. And yes, Lou Dobbs is great!
President Trump must have an awful strong family unit and group of true around him to help him keep his spirits up as he sees all these people he gave such wonderful opportunities to turn against him day after day.

I’m willing to cut -Sanders some slack. For now. While it’s all to easy to be pessimistic about our long running state of affairs, there might still be room for optimism…..someday. My fuzzy logic is that Sanders will navigate towards the middle of the road for the next two years. The crossroad will be when she is asked, or more likely required, too endorse DeSantis. I’m hoping she will keep her proverbial powder dry until then. That’s when she can emerge from the shadows and possibly join Trump on the ticket. To show support for Trump now just draws unnecessary attention to her as she does her best to fulfill her obligations as governor.
