Despite this stark warning, NATO extended an invitation to Ukraine in November 2008, clearly initiating a known cause-effect relationship that defined NATO’s policy toward Russia as being one which sought a proxy conflict using Ukraine as a stand-in for NATO.
This policy as furthered by the US, EU and NATO all acting in concert to precipitate a coup in Ukraine in February 2014 designed to oust the constitutionally elected president, Victor Yanukovych, and replace him with a new, ultra-nationalist government dominated by adherents of the odious ideology of Stepan Bandera. The coup succeeded, and in April the new Ukrainian government declared war on the ethnic Russian population of the Donbas. This action triggered the Russian annexation of Crimea and the provision of military support by Russia to the Donbas, triggering the very military intervention William Burns had warned about six years prior.
Ukraine and its NATO allies then sued for peace, initiating negotiations that led to the adoption of the Minsk Agreement, which put in place a ceasefire in exchange for guarantees regarding Ukrainian sovereignty over the Donbas as well as relative autonomy for the ethnic Russians of the Donbas, protecting their language, religion, culture, and traditions.
The Minsk Accords floundered for eight years, with Ukraine failing to implement the required constitutional changes necessary to secure the rights of the ethnic Russians of the Donbas. The reasons for this delay are today well known, thanks to the public confessions of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and former French President Francois Hollande, all three signatories to the accords. These three national leaders have acknowledged that the Minsk Accords were simply a sham designed by Ukraine to buy time to build a NATO proxy military capable of reclaiming both the Donbas and Crimea.
Russia’s decision to invade Ukraine on February 24, 2022 was not an unprovoked act of aggression, but rather a legitimate exercise of its right, together with the newly independent republics of Lugansk and Donetsk, of preemptive collective self-defense in the face of the imminent threat of aggression by Ukraine’s newly trained army which was, by design, little more than a NATO proxy.

Conveniently the press and media also seems to have forgotten that Russia also has a fleet of nuclear submarines equipped with warheads and zircon missiles. The frigate is just visible tip of the iceberg.
Now it is not in Russia’s published doctrine to use nuclear weapons first (first strike) if its any consolation (UNLIKE some countries). Look it up. So far the Russians have done everything they said they would so there should be no surprises.
But the Western media likes to report the other way around.
Currently to some published news the US is pushing Ukraine to do a spring offensive with a target of Crimea. This would be a mistake as the Russians have said an attack on Crimea would be seen as an attack on Russia mainland. An attack on Russia mainland incidentally does warrant the use of nuclear warheads according to what I understand of Russian nuclear doctrine.
They should stop escalating this war and start negotiating.
I will just say this; Russia thinks it can restore the borders of the old Soviet Union. Russia has, in recent years, been successful in picking off small countries for conquest and ‘the West’ has sat by and has done nothing about it. To Russia the Balkan States are within its rightful borders. The Balkan States are in NATO. Why does Finland want so badly to be in NATO? To the best of their ability, as a percentage of GDP, the Balkan States (Latvia, Estonia) have contributed more weapons than any other member county. Yeah, in real dollars, the US far outweighs all other countries in total contributions of equipment.
But, most of the support sent to Ukraine is in the form of weaponry. And most of the weaponry is old and at the end of its life cycle.. The dirty little secret is that most of the equipment sent to Ukraine is going to be written off, anyway. It’s junk, headed for the scrap yard.
When would you think the best theatre of operation would be? Eastern Ukraine…or Eastern Germany. And, yes, the Russians are that delusional!

Another theory from a website that covers Ukraine very thoroughly: Zelensky does not do anything without his handlers instructing him to do so. Most of the Zelensky entourage was primarily UK ‘appointed’ (hence Johnson constantly going to Ukraine, and, recently, going to Ukraine at Zelensky’s behest). The theory is that now the US is taking over complete control of this government, getting rid of UK ‘appointees’, and putting in their own. Just a theory, but who knows???

The M-1 Abrams tanks are powered by gas turbine engines which have been a maintenance nightmare from the beginning.
All you need to disable them is a sand blaster directed at the engine intake.
The Abrams tank uses 300 gallons of fuel in eight hours and burns 60 gallons per hour when traveling at speed. It burns at least 30 gallons per hour in tactical use. The fuel rate is .6 miles per gallon.
The Abrams tanks will have to have huge tanker trucks of fuel following them across Ukraine.
Destroying the fuel supplies needed for the Abrams tanks should be a piece of cake for the Russians. Does Ukraine even have enough fuel and trucks to keep up?
