The House is scheduled to begin the effort for the installation of California Representative Kevin McCarthy at 10:00pm ET. It is unknown whether the 14th ballot effort will succeed or exactly how many representatives are still in DC for the activity. The livestream is below:
UPDATE:
- Round 14 fails for McCarthy by one vote. 232 votes cast. McCarthy got 216 – one vote short of majority.
- Representative Mike Rogers (AL) tried to fight Matt Gaetz and had to be restrained. (LINK)
- GOP tried to adjourn. Voice vote failed and failed counting of yeas and nays. House cannot adjourn.

Republican McHenry moved for the adjournment. The adjournment lost. So technically John in S.A. is correct in that they lost their own motion. Obviously though something changed during the vote for the adjournment so the Republicans wound up voting against it. Now they will elect McCarthy speaker.

The House is about worn down to nub after having to work so hard for the first time in two years. Wondering why the camera did not pan to Piglosi when she called out her vote? Was she really there? I absolutely love how they are all working their fingers to the bones.

Kevin controls the 1/4 billion dollar Congressional Leadership PAC. Looks like neither Kevin nor the party chipped in to help her win against a Democrat billionaire who has a residence in Aspen.

Three, investigate and expose how the democrats, mainstream media, the DOJ, and social media colluded to portray a 4-hour rowdy protest into a supposed insurrection; and then demand that the J6 citizens in jail be released immediately and charges against all 900+ protestors arrested so far be dropped immediately.
He could have won the speakership in the first vote.
