There have been multiple times in the history of Congress when multiple ballots are required to nominate the House Speaker. However, at no point in history has the same person failed to capture the majority on six ballots and remained determined to keep trying.
At this point, the hubris of Kevin McCarthy is becoming awkwardly embarrassing, which is to say, perfect. Kevin McCarthy is becoming a human meme.

Six ballots with an almost identical outcome, yet California Representative Kevin McCarthy refuses to accept that no path to the speaker’s office exists despite him already moving in there. Unless, and this is where it gets sketchy, the House votes to change the rules which would allow a plurality of the vote to determine the speaker…. which could happen.
After failing for the sixth time, the House Republican caucus requested an adjournment until 8:00pm tonight. Democrats objected, but the Republicans won the voice vote.

My only probable scenario for what is happening:
Trump has endorsed McCarthy because of a past deal. People are so focused on the future but forget that Trump had to make some deals while in office. Trump fulfills his obligation to the swamp in backing McCarthy and with McCarthy unable to seal the deal, he gets off the hook.
Second, some Republicans are America First even before Trump and the movement is greater than Trump. This shows the establishment that not even Trump can dissuade people from America First. I don’t blame the holdouts for not trusting others and insisting on core MAGA items.
Third, and this is conjecture, the Speaker position is being leveraged against the RNC chair. Establishment has to give up one, which do they choose? Control of the House or control of the Party?
Both are critical pieces to lose and Establishment could lose both if they don’t make a choice.
What message is being sent here? America First, Country or Party, People First or Establishment Rule?

Jeffries only needs SIX more votes to win, the next vote is scheduled for 8pm ET, and you may have just predicted the unfortunate outcome. It depends on whether the “Never Kevins” are willing to blow up the process to prevent him from winning.
There’s too much back room deal-making going on that I don’t believe any of us are able to actually monitor. I think we will only be able to guess what happened after someone gets enough votes.

To be honest, other than being 3rd in line for President I am naive about the power/duties of Speaker.
Whoever gets to either 218 first, or some lesser number if a bunch of them start voting “present”, gets the job title. The Dems, being more unified, can keep forcing votes and control adjournment times indefinitely.
Since choosing a Speaker from outside the majority party has never happened since we have had political parties, I don’t know the answers to your other excellent questions. The slim GOP majority would remain, but I don’t know how it would affect House procedures.

It’s wildly wrong for Donald Trump to have redoubled his support for a guy who is an enemy to Donald Trump and Anti-Conservative. Why are his personnel decisions getting WORSE and not better?

Ask yourself this, aside from already mass adopted abortion, sterilization, and contraception, how do we accomplish such a “goal”?

I am in agreement about the end of the Republican Party. A new “Party” cannot simply allow the old rats to infest it and it must be known and understood that the Left are master infiltrators. So safeguards against Office Seeking members must be enacted and strictly observed.

Inter alia, he could have fired every, single US attorney, and could have dismissed every, single political appointee in the federal bureaucracy. Instead, he gave in to McConnell without a fight.

Very concerning. I posted yesterday on another platform outlining his missed opportunities that were directly tied to failed counselors.
As for me, Mr. Trump did more for this country in a short time to curb the bleeding than any man since Ronald Regan, but he missed tremendous opportunities and in so doing, it has led to a greater plunge than before. He knew and publicly stated how the Left would steal the 2020 Election, BUT DID NOTHING to stop it. Was continually pressed by his own lawyers, advisors, and people the likes of Sean Hannity, whom I disregarded long ago when he backed Arnold Schwarzenegger over Mr. McClintock in the California Primary for Governership. Mr McClintock was a Conservative and obviously Kennedy married into Schwarzenegger is not.
So not exactly new to this club. I called the stolen election of 2018 that formed the strategy of 2020 in advance of it, and I wasn’t silent about it either. I was scolded and demeaned by “die hard” Trump supporters, who also mocked me when I said the 2022 election would be a wipeout to the left. People literally mocked me on other media platforms over it. But when it happened, I never heard back from them.
To some, it’s back Mr. Trump as you would Jesus of Nazareth, or you’re a traitor. I say the opposite. Back Jesus of Nazareth and trust in Him, not man for saving. Rattle the heavens with prayer, and do not play the devils game of Left vs Right, avoid violence and let the wicked destroy the wicked.
That said, I believe there will be a third path revealed to the few who are waiting and watching. That IS where you put a device or a systemic procedure through repeats of exactly the same forces over and over, because you want to find out at what point the device/system will break (the different result being failure after holding up under stress X number of times).
The House is being stress tested to see how many times it will take for the result to change or fail.
And sometimes there is more to what you a re calling stress testing.
