Obviously, New York City contains one of the most widespread surveillance networks as a result of DHS funding and security ‘threats’. However, the use of facial recognition software as a security feature is not as well known in the U.S. as it has been described in China.
A mom was taking her daughter to a show at Radio City Music Hall when she was pulled aside by security and told she would not be permitted admission. The lady works for a law firm currently in litigation with the venue’s parent company, Madison Square Garden Entertainment. All employees of the law firm are blacklisted.
Comrade citizens, what I find interesting about the story is the use of facial recognition to identify the woman and block her entry. It doesn’t take a deep thinker to see where this type of targeting mechanism can be deployed along ideological lines.
NEW YORK – A recent incident at Radio City Music Hall involving the mother of a Girl Scout is shedding light on the growing controversy of facial recognition, as critics claim it is being used to target perceived enemies — by one of the most famous companies in the country.
Kelly Conlon and her daughter came to New York City the weekend after Thanksgiving as part of a Girl Scout field trip to Radio City Music Hall to see the Christmas Spectacular show. But while her daughter, other members of the Girl Scout troop and their mothers got to go enjoy the show, Conlon wasn’t allowed to do so.
That’s because to Madison Square Garden Entertainment, Conlon isn’t just any mom. They had identified and zeroed in on her, as security guards approached her right as he got into the lobby. (read more)
No soup for you!
Oh, but wait… It gets better.
WATCH:
As with all things in our rapid technological era, you do not have to squint to see the horizon and accept that eventually this process will automate.
https://twitter.com/WallStreetSilv/status/1607216009152237571
However, as this process is created, it is worth considering that you are being quietly changed from an individual person to a product. Some are starting to worry in the beta test:
[…] “you must become an object with attributes sitting in a database. Instead of roaming around anonymously making all sorts of transactions without the government’s knowledge, Australians find themselves passing through ‘gates’. …
All product-based systems have these gates to control the flow of stock and weed out errors. It is how computers see things. The more gates, the more clarity.
You are updating the government like a parcel pings Australia Post on its way to a customer. If a fault is found, automatic alerts are issued and you are stopped from proceeding. In New South Wales, this comes in the form of a big red ‘X’ on the myGov vaccine passport app (if you managed to link your Medicare account without smashing the phone to bits).
Gate-keeping systems have been adapted from retail and transformed into human-based crowd solutions to micromanage millions of lives with the same ruthless efficiency as barcodes tracking stock. There is no nuance or humanity in this soulless digital age. Barcodes are binary. Good – bad. Citizen or dissident.
Even if you have all the required government attributes to pass through the gates – two vaccines, six boosters, and a lifelong subscription to Microsoft – something could go wrong. If your data fails the scan, you’ll slip into digital purgatory and become an error message. (read more)
It could be problematic if your status fails to register correctly, or if the system identifies some form of non-compliance that will block you from entry. Then again, that’s what beta tests are for, working out all these techno bugs and stuff. Not to worry…. move along….
Perhaps you attempt to purchase dog food and get denied entry into Pet Smart because you didn’t renew the car registration. Or perhaps you are blocked from entry because you forgot to change the oil on the leased vehicle you drive and Toyota has this weird agreement with some retail consortium. You head to the oil change place that conveniently pops up in the citizen compliance App –it’s only two blocks away– they clear the alert after they do the oil and you are gateway compliant again.
Missed your booster shot? We’re sorry citizen, your bank account is frozen until your compliance is restored… please proceed to the nearest vaccination office as displayed conveniently on your cell phone screen to open access to all further gates (checkpoints)…. tap to continue…
HOW TO DEFEAT
1984
IS
1776 . (Period)
Alex Jones was right
Bannedvideo.com
.
No Rockettes for you !!!
If memory serves me, 1776 happened for a lot less than the mess we’re currently putting up with…….
If they’d had TV news we’d still be under British rule.
Right. Asleep, overfed and woozy.
Jack pot!
No one should go or buy tickets for Radio City Shows. Starve the beast.
Agree! I’m glad I saw it in ’59.
I was appalled when last month I came back from a vacation to the UK and HAD to look directly into the eye lens at Customs. You have no choice. They have everything, they know everything. It’s sickening.
VA is still angry I disabled their scanner. It pays to be the smartest person in the room. There’s a reason all 1980s era movies show hackers and people overtaking news broadcasts. They understand that’s there only way to defeat them. Understand how the technology works, then defeat it, silently.
Yeah, I agree. Being doing it for years. If I ever buy a new car, first thing I will do is hack it.
In that case I need your help. 🙂 Either that or I want my 1996 4 wheel drive back (minus the rust). One of the saddest days of my life when I had to let it go.
F–king Commies, gettin’ der’ commie on.
That means you took the clot shot. You already complied. You shouldn’t worry about being appalled. You should worry about Bill Gates blue screen of death.
Mark of The Beast.
Welcome to HELL.
The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) – Bowler Hat Guy Scene
Nice to know that apparently EVERYONE who enters Radio City is being scanned for facial recognition without your knowledge or consent. What other venues are doing this too?
one place to wear a mask.
Where are the patriotic hackers when you need em?
Perhaps, wearing masks is not a bad idea after all.
Too bad the J6 protesters didn’t follow Antifa’s example of mask wearing. None would have been in jail now.
Ummm… they used cell phone “geofencing” to ID most J6rs…
Yes they would…they did not use facial recognition to that extent. They used cell phone pings!
Would those little “Faraday” bags for cell phones have blocked the ability for those phones to be traced?
yep. i started using one traveling on the Maine tpke couple years ago. statie friend said they were looking into cell phone tracking to issue speeding tickets. they word really well, for the ez-pass devices too.
Yep. Have one. More for just f-ing around with “pattern of life” tracking than anything else.
As long as the phone is in the bag, your phone can not be pinged. The moment it is out of the bag, it can be pinged. If you are trying to avoid speed traps, you do not want to take it out of the bag immediately. You want to wait long enough to accommodate a “proper” speed from start to finish. Also, if you are trying to avoid being caught at a specific destination, do not take your phone out of the bag anywhere near that destination. Give yourself plausible deniability, take it out at a destination blocks or miles away that you frequent. It is probably a good idea to vary things as well. Make it so that they think they are effectively tracking you most of the time. This will make them rely on the pinging technology without resorting to other tracking technologies. Do not assume this is sufficient if you are on the job working for UPS or similar. They probably are tracking the vehicle, you and and your phone. You would have to defeat ALL tracking mechanisms employed to be successfully untracked. This is also true if you are doing rounds and have to “check in” electronically to register you have done your job. They may be using multiple methods to track their employees.
A ski mask with sunglasses.
Coming soon: A facial password will be required to go on the internet.
This will come because of the perceived need to block minors from inappropriate content.
The surveillance state pieces continue to fall into place.
The fruits of our success contained the seeds of our downfall.
Great last line. I’m going to steal that one!
Just stop with the Conspiracy Theories Richard!
Nope, Richard is correct, they have been discussing exactly that type of mechanism for many years now. Multifactor security is all the rage and they just love biometric data to play with. All biometric data is problematic due to potential theft and the inability of the average Joe to get the techies to fix false positives and false negatives when they arise. Both false positives and false negatives arise with all biometric systems to date. This is because to be efficient most algorithms generalize biometric data points. When they generalize a data point, it is no longer as exacting and as unique as the original human being. Since a data point is an estimate, multiple humans might converge on a unique identifier assigned to your generalized biometric data points.
The flip side occurs when your biometric data is stolen. Because it is biometric data supposedly unique to your human body, it is not easily changed when stolen and there is no way to distinguish between the thief and the original owner.
That that in Illinois and they will get the BIPA smackdown.

NYC Mayor:
“…Big Brother is protecting you.”

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
(Ben Franklin)
America is falling weakened by Safetyism.
Where did Safetyism originate? (Homework question.)
I am curious how Dolan was able to have facial recognition of an attorney in an opposing legal case?
Is somebody selling this publicly or does Dolan have some cameras outside this law firm?
I can understand law enforcement using this to ID someone but having it available to private companies is a real problem.
Like them having your fingerprints.
They went to the website of the law firm and used the photos publicly available.
Maybe Dolan has an office in the FBI HQ as Hillary did. Or maybe the FBI had an office in Dolan’s HQ.
Time to walk around with Groucho glasses. This is such an invasion of privacy and probably unconstitutional on amend 4 and 5
a lot of what is being allowed these days came from the Patriot act. the single most harmful piece of legislation ever passed against legal American citizens.
With every passing day I am more grateful that I grew up during a time when none of this imprisoning technology existed.
Agree, it all started with the answering machine.
No longer accountable.
Ohhhh… you are not wearing you “STAR” ! Das Jew!
Maybe Ms. Conlon can take her Girl Scout on a tour of Planned Parenthood.
And of course this will be loaded with corruption. Companies will fight, bribe, and scheme over who gets to be the “resolution” experts on correcting your social standing and politicians will be the recipients of whatever it takes for those companies to get on the system.
How could it go wrong?
I am as enthused about this technology as I am about Alexis and every TV remote I use that has a microphone.
This is how revolutions are born…
This technology is being touted as a crime fighting tool and the public is being told that it will make flying and going to things such as concerts safer. We’re being sold a bill-of-goods here because flying and going to concerts was never really that dangerous. Over the past 20 years, the government and media have created one crisis after another designed to make us paranoid about our safety regarding petty crime, terrorism and health. This has been designed so that the public will be begging governments to bring out tools such as this to “protect” us from the bogeyman that they have created . These are nothing but tools of totalitarians (it matters not if they are fascists or communists) to take away our freedoms. The controls that were put on flights after 911 were supposedly temporary, but they have now been kept on and added to for the past 22 years, for only one reason, to remind us of the power of big-brother and to fear the government. Until flights are as easy to get on as they were 50 years ago we haven’t regained our freedom.
Course, there was a human way to handle the situation.
“Since you’re with your daughter we will admit you. However, you should be advised we won’t admit you ever again because of our current fall out with your employer.”
And how many have willingly submitted to facial scan, finger print or retinal scans for work security badges?
Whose facial recognition database is Madison Square Garden running their matches against?
