It is always worth a reminder when reviewing anything from Blackrock, that the institutional investment firm has strong ties to almost every sphere of White House policy.
Today Blackrock is warning of severe economic conditions looming, the unspoken origin traces to the collective western economic shift in energy policy, aka “Build Back Better.”
As noted in the Blackrock warning, under the auspices of inflation control, central banks can try and shrink economic activity – but they are limited. Organically, economies will free fall once the full weight of BBB energy policy accumulates.

“Recession is foretold as central banks race to try to tame inflation. It’s the opposite of past recessions,” they said. “Central bankers won’t ride to the rescue when growth slows in this new regime, contrary to what investors have come to expect. This type of macroeconomic prediction should not come as a surprise to most CTH readers, because we have been outlining the natural conclusion of consequence.
Once the decision was collectively made to shrink the use of oil, coal and natural gas for energy development, the subsequent inflationary impact would lead to a need to shrink economic activity. Raising interest rates to shrink demand does make the economy contract; however, the energy driven supply side inflation continues.
Nothing can stop supply side inflation, except a massive decline in energy use.
A severe reduction in energy use, similar in scale to the energy use reduction when pandemic lockdowns were in full effect, can only lead to the same overall economic conditions as present within the lockdown. Which is to say, almost no economic activity.

We are as prepare as we can possibly be, but things are going to get ugly. Dependent people have no idea what is about to hit them.
I thought they wanted us to move into the cities. As things get worse I won’t even visit.
I fear what will happen here in my small coastal town. Working at the local grocery has given me a firm understanding of just how many people are dependent upon food stamps here. Some seniors, but most are young or in their 40’s and able bodied.
We are so small that we lack a real police force. We have a satellite office for the county sheriff, but they are not a dedicated force. Those of us who are prepared will manage, but I foresee a crime wave of theft and break ins coming when the sthf. Sadly the seniors without local family are going to be sitting ducks.

We live in an affluent town on the S/W coast of British Columbia.
Shoplifting is truly epidemic… just a few years ago it was a rarity.
Local grocery stores are under seize, and that is not an exaggeration.
Shoplifting is so, so very easy to do.
A friend works in a local store, and says the “ junkies” are obvious, and expected.
However it is the seniors that get caught that saddens him and other staff, as they are getting desperate.
Rents are exorbitant, and heating costs in some cases up over 25%.
The majority of these seniors, were naive believers in their government and the media.
Covid restrictions and the energy policies are desperately hurting our seniors.

We are living under a repressive regime..and determined folks are digging in, and forming a formidable foe to the evil doers.
I am extremely outgoing ( but naturally shy) and on my daily walks meet and chat with many individuals.

Just this morning a young lady ( 40 ish) was stopped at a traffic light and hollered at me.
I ran over to her and had a few moments of terrific “ banter”
We had met during the height of the Covid madness, and discovered that neither of us had taken the “ poison”
At our first meeting she told me she was giving up her position as a physical therapist at the local hospital rather than accept the mandated jab.
She told me this morning that she had just this week opened her own clinic in town, and was “ over the moon”
Guess where my referrals will be going.
Interestingly I am a W/M in my early sixties, retired and a grandfather, and she a B/F a business woman and a young mum.
The MSM and Dems tell us we should despise each other😂😂

Betsy I recently read a story about a wounded badly and disabled Canadian vet. I believe the vet was female. She sent letters and made phone calls to all the government agencies. One of these agencies offered to send her literature on assisted suicide in Canada. Believe I saw this on Rantingly.
Very sad. They want us desperate and to see government as their savior.

You are up close and personal to the situation…and yes, the seniors always get screwed….My town has 28k and seems immune right now…collar county to Cook Co. IL…mostly union people. So no real hardship seen, yet.
But I do remember in 2008, dealing with Dad’s financials after he passed, one of the bankers at BOA told me that in Chicago, there were pockets of unemployment, then, at 25%. I don’t wonder what the future holds.

Rural America still feels like America. I split my time between rural CA and rural Texas. I’d love to be in Texas full time but I need to convince my daughter and her husband to join us.
I live in Rural NE Florida. My house sits on 57 acres of my own personal pine forest. I have thirty chickens for meat and eggs and I grow a lot of vegetables. I was born and raised in London England. I did however live in the heart of Manhattan for five years when I was younger. I will NEVER EVER go back there.
I have noticed that many more of my neighbors have started raising chickens and goats.
Lots and lots of goats and chickens are popping up everywhere.
There seems to be a lot of small herds of cattle everywhere also, maybe 12 0r 15 here or there.
People seem to be letting their bushes and trees grow wild so as to hide what they have on their property.
They do not want any one to know exactly what they have on their acreage.
It is hard to hide the cattle but the goats and chickens you can see only if you drive onto the property to visit or know them well.
Every one seems to be hunkering down.

Tomato, pepper varieties, mustard, broccoli, chard, cabbage, cauliflower, lettuce, peas, beans, radish, and a vast patch of herbs. Mulberry, blueberry, blackberry, figs, Bing cherry in the ground. I have a spare acre that should produce around 30 to 40 bushels of wheat, and grain mill to make flour. Sweet potato slips are coming along nicely, potatoes are chitting.
When SHTF, I also have the freedom seeds to defend it. I have two neighbors and we swap eggs, meat and bananas.
People better wake up fast and get out of the city while land is still affordable, and available. It will hurt your back, but you’ll be free!

My conclusion was this: You can’t keep a larder deep enough to outlast the stupidity and cupidity of the fools.
At some point, when nothing is getting shipped in and your local grocerystore has been stripped of food, you either have land far outside a city where you can grow your own food and barter with your neighbors (along with tools, seeds, and decent water supply, and/or invaluable skills such as defense and medical)) or you will not last long enough to mount a resistance.
I also don’t trust anything the banks and regulators ever pushed. Save for retirement they said. Save for us to pull the rug out from under you and steal the product of your life’s work when we are ready to shear the sheep they meant.
40 acres, some livestock, a garden, and fresh water . . . Priceless.

You are far from being alone. Myself and many friends are stocking up with shelf stable foods that are OK to store without refrigeration. We are also keeping chickens. Sadly the HOA’s in many towns and cities have banned keeping chickens. My advice . . . . . MOVE!!!!!
Someone you know and love, but who is not prepared as you are, might need those extras. I have a sister who loves to bake. Not only does she enjoy baking, but that skill might become essential. So when they’re on sale, I’ll grab extra spices or other ingredients and just quietly put them away. All of the preparation stuff is tucked inside a closet.

I’m unemployed due to the VAX mandates and….no idea how I will provide for my family in this beast of a system where money is fake…
But I know Christ walked me away from a $155k/year job because He needed a warrior somewhere far more important. My duty is to my King. I just pray that He give me the strength to follow Him into the hardest battle to keep the flame of liberty alive.

Anyone have thoughts on recent gas and diesel price drops? My gut tells me that demand has fallen, but I also know that’s overly simplistic.
What I do know is that I’ve decided to just hunker down for the winter. I’m not running either my diesel or gas truck. Material costs are so insane, construction and remodeling are just not worth the aggravation.
The Biden administration is using up our strategic oil reserves, in order to lower prices. It is a temporary fix. Furthermore, now in an emergency situation we will not have our oil reserves!
I’ve little reason to not believe that is the plan for it.
That is to deny the use of it in a real emergency.

Sadly, the strategic reserves were intended to maintain military readiness. The amount of oil that was stored there would handle our consumer demand for more than four weeks at most. And most of it ended up in China and Europe.

Personally, I was around in the 60’s and the US was in a much worse state. Three political assassinations, wide-spread rioting, war, bombings by white people, drugs, sex, and rock and roll.
The 30’s was the depression and the environmental disaster in the plains states that caused mass migration.

But how that differs from today is that our cities back then were not cesspool sh**holes, our governments were not trillions of dollars in debt, people back then lived within their means, people now are mass consumers of stimulating and unnecessary products, people today are weaker mentally and physically, most people were law abiding and respectful of each other, and our country was not overrun with undocumented and unknown people.
Now, we are a tinderbox and something really bad is going to happen.

I suspect that this is nothing more than CYA for upcoming bad earnings reports. In January, Florida will be yanking 2 billion dollars in pension funds away from Blackrock because of their ongoing love affair with ESG. Other states are also pulling the plug. When people like me talk about the Elites who own our institutions – major players in Blackrock + Vanguard are what most of us have in mind.

How do people in drought-stricken areas even locate and store enough water to survive?
People will need axes and basic tools just to survive and those may no longer be easily obtained in a totally disrupted society.
Even those who are now self-sufficient will have to face the inevitable hordes of marauders who will be desperate and merciless.
The odds of successful survival will be directly tied to one’s physical isolation from large populations.
Cities will be pretty horrible, certainly.

SOME of us have been “prepping” for many, many years, and while “prepper and Survivalist sites”, like most things on the I-net, have lots of crap to pick thru, there are some goid tips and info out there.
Just have to sort thru it, and pick out the parts you value.Humans are very adaptable, and self-sufficiency “living like our ancestors in the 1800’s” is not as bad as you make it out to be.
There is both a satisfaction and a confidence that inevitably comes with self-sufficiency.
As an example, think of going from depending on the police, when “seconds count” to being armed and proficient.
Now, extend that to being able to produce your own food, instead of depending on a grocery store.
Ditto for all necesities, as you move to self-sufficiency, your stress level goes down, life satisfation goes up.
The prices we pay, monetarily and otherwise, for the illusion of convenience, security, and status are astronomical.
It would be more correct to say that demand for energy must be reduced (demand destruction) than “energy use must decline”. Energy use will necessarily decline to match energy supply, but the price will only come down when demand is reduced to match reduced supply. Biden’s policies will cause energy prices to triple and that will result in a 25% reduction in real wages. Great depression 2.0 is inevitable.

The article describes this off-shore project as the first of it’s kind. It will have 2 – 36″ pipelines coming from onshore and is expected to add 2 million barrels per day EXPORT capability. It is expected to come online in 2023. Of note is the sudden financial support from the banking industry for this project. Not surprising is the lack of publicity by MSM.
