When it came to the second-place polling finisher, President Trump gave the Florida governor a new nickname, “Ron DeSanctimonious.” LOL {Direct Rumble Link}

Many people were caught off guard by the rather humous slight, aka a shot across the bow as subtle as a brick through a window; however, it’s likely President Trump was responding to the latest, well, rather cringy campaign ad from the Florida governor’s campaign, “Ron is God.” WATCH:

Add that money to the echo-chambered DeSantis campaign branding group, mix in a few detached billionaires amid the cocktail circuit, and what you get is a cringeworthy ad in the same theme as the Ted Cruz campaign in 2016. I could not get through that horrid video of the Establishment tool. The announcer sounds like he’s pretending to be Paul Harvey, which is a enough insult for me. Had to stop.

Remember when RD said Florida was going to send the National Guard to stand shoulder to shoulder with Texas at the border? He gave the impression that large numbers would be going for an extended time. I discovered later that only a dozen or maybe a few dozen were sent for a couple of weeks. That’s when I began to wonder if he sometimes (not saying always, but sometimes) plays up big for the camera, throwing meat to the base, with underwhelming follow thru when no one is looking.

Honestly, it would depend upon how DeSantis and the GOPe acted in the primary. If I end up thinking he’s another establishment tool, then no. I won’t vote for him. I held my nose and voted McCain, but I wrote in Ron Paul when Mitt Romney was running because I’m done holding my nose for the presidency. We finally got one I liked.

To say Trump delivered a “shot across the bow” to Ron De Sanctimonious really doesn’t capture it. More accurate would be to say that Trump put the wood to poor Ron for listening to his newfangled RINO/UniParty team.
Let’s just say that Trump knocked Ron down to size. You really can’t make it up, De Santis has done a good job as Governor and is heading toward reelection in a romp. If you paid me to come up with the quickest, most effective plan to screw up his relationship with Trump (and thus MAGA), I couldn’t have come even close to what these knuckleheads have accomplished.

We will make sure Trump gets what is rightfully his – a second term. I like DeSantis and he’s doing great things for Florida, which is where he should remain.
The only reason that I can think of for this strategy is, the GOPe wants to throw the entire election back to the Left by splitting the vote. I don’t think they will be successful. DeSantis needs to wake up and smell the coffee before he’s demolished for being disloyal to MAGA.
The ONLY reason on God’s green earth that people are voting Republican is for Trump. The Republican party destroyed themselves by supporting the election steal. Trump is using the party as a tool to get MAGAns in office across the country. I can’t wait for the day when he’s done with those backstabbing jerks. Been a Republican all my life until the last election was stolen. I can hardly swallow my vomit at having to vote straight Republican. As I was out driving, I heard a radio clip from the Clay and Buck show with Salena Zito. She hemmed and hawed but the gist of her converstation was that the people SHE talked to didn’t want President Trump to run again. We’re not a people who look back she said. GARBAGE!!
Her kind, like the feckless Paul Ryan, are starting to spin like a top! I know what her intent is. She is a piece of work as President trump would say. Salena ZERO! How dare she try to tell me what I should think. The arrogance of these people is monumental. The more they tell you not to support President Trump, the more you need to ignore them and their devious drivel!!.

I live in Naples, Florida. Trump is right. We would have had a Marxist Governor if he didn’t endorse DeSantis.

One thing I liked about Trump is that he did not engage in never ending war against everything nonsense, and proved himself a better international diplomat than decades of previous presidents diplomats ambassadors State Dept pretenders.

I first saw that ad on patriots.win and couldn’t even watch the whole thing. Very off-putting. I was glad to see that many of the commenters had the same reaction I did. The thing is I think they could’ve accomplished the same message by having a bunch of Floridians individually telling their stories and thanking God for Ron DeSantis, saying God put Ron there for this moment in history, etc. But that heavy handed, On the Eighth Day, God Created Ron DeSantis messaging is just too much. Laughable even. I’m glad President Trump called him out on it.

Not being a Billionaire, DiSantamoniasis must walk that fine line to gain financial support for a presidential run. What kind of follow through in his early pandering to the donar class remains to be seen. It is not entirely impossible that DiSantis is actually playing the GOPe as much as they appear to be playing him. No doubt, DiSantis is a savvy political player who knows he needs big $ support for a POTUS run. Perhaps he will just keep tip toeing back and forth over that fine line and eventually not run in 2024 at least for President. IMHO the VP path for him is sho-in for him the the road to POTUS. He wont need the RINO money machine as much on that road and will have already helped and be invested in 4 years of a Trump Administration.
