When it came to the second-place polling finisher, President Trump gave the Florida governor a new nickname, “Ron DeSanctimonious.” LOL {Direct Rumble Link}

Many people were caught off guard by the rather humous slight, aka a shot across the bow as subtle as a brick through a window; however, it’s likely President Trump was responding to the latest, well, rather cringy campaign ad from the Florida governor’s campaign, “Ron is God.” WATCH:
$200 million in Wall Street and corporate donations buys a lot of hubris. Add that money to the echo-chambered DeSantis campaign branding group, mix in a few detached billionaires amid the cocktail circuit, and what you get is a cringeworthy ad in the same theme as the Ted Cruz campaign in 2016. The similarities are not coincidental.

That is not a disqualification for being President. The Constitution sets the requirements and being convicted of a crime is not one of those.
It will be a constitutional showdown, there is another law that says conviction of mishandling of classified info, even misdemeanor, renders a person ineligible for holding any office. This is why the DOJ is even pushing the docs BS.
If they can pull it off, I’m guessing that the charge that would keep him out of office is announced just in time for Primary season.
Even if they clear him, it will be done too late for him to run in 2024, all but eliminating him from future contention (though I’m thinking a 100 year old Trump could run circles around what I would consider my 30 year old best self).

I’ve heard MANY Conservative Floridians say he was NOT AT ALL great with Covid and they mention a Range of specifics.
He was better than most governors with Covid. He made a real effort to keep Florida’s restaurants open in part if not in full even during the lockdown. We were locked down for a few months. It was not fun. He let the cities and counties impose other restrictions. At one point, the beach was restricted by him. Even after he lifted all restrictions, some mayors tried to hang on to them. He did act to bring them in line with the rest of the state. Even so, the medical establishment was requiring masks for years, he did not interfere. Also, the big box stores required masks long after Ron lifted them. He made sure Florida had access to vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. He did not make anything mandatory.
What he did not do/has not done is expose the harm from the covid therapy. He did prevent them from mandating the jabs for Florida’s kids. That is super important.
The problem is, many DeSantis lovers claim that he handled covid, the vaccines better than PDJT. They ignore/pretend that he didn’t do what you just laid out.
So, actually following the US Constitution and the Florida Constitution make you great?

That’s a nice emotional diatribe. DeSantis has made some excellent decisions in many areas. He is good at organization, getting things done and evaluating what is important. He has learned to fight. He makes some mistakes. He is not fully MAGA or fully conservative. He and Trump supported Florida’s red flag laws after the Parkland High School deaths of 17. That is a bad law that is easily abused to deprive of 2nd amendment rights.
He is so much better than Crist was or Gilliam would have been. There is not a better candidate on the gubernatorial ticket for Florida.

So, DeSantis recognizes reality, and doesn’t run for 2024, knowing that Trump will win. Maybe he auditions for VP. The last two conservative GOP presidents have been betrayed by their GOP centrist VPs. Reagan’s VP became the first Bush president. That didn’t work out too well. He was beaten by a corrupt but charismatic philanderer from Alabama and gave us two terms of Clinton, culminating in 9/11. Trump’s VP was Mike Pence who undermined his boss at every step of the way. The culmination was Pence’s decision to certify an obviously corrupt election when he had the power to call a time-out and request audits and recounts.
I worry about Trump’s age. I’m also worried that he took the COVID vaccine because that increases your chance of dying sooner than actuaries would predict. OTOH, he does rally after rally, speaking for two hours with never a misstep, and he plays golf at a level 99% of amateurs would envy. So. maybe my worries are misplaced.

Same with Trump. He is a flawed candidate as well with the clot shot baggage. Folks think he is a savior. I used to watch every rally and thought he could actually pull off the whole deal. I was severely let down with the covid psyop, his lack of accountability in it and frankly I have Martin Armstrong on in the background on US Watchdog and he is saying there probably will not be an election in 2024 and that the fraud will be so bad this Tuesday that nobody will accept the results. If had never let that little dwarf weasel on the stage with him he could have pulled the whole MAGA agenda off in his second term.

I write this to you as a strong supporter of your 2018 election. As I prepare to fill out my absentee ballot, I am struggling with some misgivings. As I recall, in 2018 you were endorsed by President Trump who pulled you across the finish line where you nearly lost to a degenerate, coke-sniffing pervert. Since then, I have been pleased with the job you are doing here in Florida.
Recently, however, I’ve noticed some disturbing trends that give me pause as I decide how to cast my vote. Your endorsements and campaign contributions from some of the worst of the GOP establishment (most recently low-energy JEB!) have concerned me. I’ve also been bothered by you seeming to distance yourself from President Trump, the man whose support got you into the governor’s mansion. This type of disloyalty, what we see exhibited by the likes of RINOs Lindsay Graham, Nikki Haley, Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, and sadly, Marco Rubio, is something I find unconscionable. But given your opponent in this race, I’ve been reluctantly planning to hold my nose and vote for you as the lesser of the evils.

Excellent email. As a Colorado voter/conservative I will NOT be marking my ballot for a “pro-abortion, wants Congress to protect homosexual marriage, cross the aisle” Republican. And O’Dea showing up on CNN to announce he will stop Trump in 2024 was the final factor for me. While I cannot predict the outcome, I do not think O’Dea will win as there are many conservatives voting for the Libertarian in the race instead (who is an actual pro-life conservative).
We deserve 100% of that which we allow and the left know that we will just lick our nuts if they steal it again.
