Elon Musk officially took control of Twitter on Thursday evening.
Immediately after taking ownership, Mr. Musk fired Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal, and the Head of Legal Policy, Vijaya Gadde, the person who took responsibility for banning former President Donald Trump from the social media platform. According to The Washington Post, Sean Edgett, the company’s general counsel was also given the boot.
The CEO, CFO and top legal officers all immediately removed. Nice start. Immediately after the top brass cleaning, Musk Tweeted “the bird is freed.”
According to financial reports, the S&P 500 is exiting Twitter (TWTR) from its stock market index effective November 1st as Musk takes the company private and promises to open source the background code to the public.
While there are many people waiting to see exactly what the changes mean to the user engagement aspects of the intelligence community engaged platform, this is easily the biggest change in the public information space in many years.
(The Washington Post) […] Musk’s moves late Thursday signal his intentions to put his stamp firmly one of the world’s most influential social media companies. Musk has publicly criticized Twitter’s outgoing management over product decisions and content moderation, as well as saying he would restore former president Donald Trump‘s account.
[…] The closure of the deal ended a months-long roller coaster saga in which the billionaire — the world’s richest person — conducted a hostile takeover to buy the company at an inflated price, only to renege on the deal and then enter into a bitter legal battle with the social network.
But in recent days, Musk appeared resigned, and even enthusiastic, about his impending ownership. He showed up at the company’s offices unexpectedly on Wednesday, carrying a sink to suggest that the message that he would become owner needed to “sink in,” according to a photo he posted to his more than 100 million Twitter followers.
He plans to hold a companywide town hall on Friday. (read more)

Let’s just keep watching….
Tea Leaves: Vijaya Gadde did not unilaterally ban President Trump. Other governmental paycheck actors eventually will be named.

The suspicions surrounding Jack’s Magic Coffee shop are not new. {Go Deep} Indeed, the recent whistleblower claims of data insecurity seem to align with the overall theme that U.S. government interest are more than a little deeply involved in the domestic surveillance system known as Twitter specifically, and big social media in general.
In the most recent datapoint assembly, a solid dive by MintPressNews into the number of former FBI officials working at Twitter, shows just how enmeshed the federal police are with the social media platform. The scale is really quite remarkable. [SEE HERE]
Big picture – the number of FBI officials working for Twitter indicates some strong connective tissue behind both enterprises.
[MintPressNews] – […] The FBI is generally known as a domestic security and intelligence force. However, it has recently expanded its remit into cyberspace. “The FBI’s investigative authority is the broadest of all federal law enforcement agencies,” the “About” section of its website informs readers. “The FBI has divided its investigations into a number of programs, such as domestic and international terrorism, foreign counterintelligence [and] cyber crime,” it adds. How would it damage the U.S. government if claims about the Chinese government having access to all user data on TikTok, are shown to be identical to the U.S. government having access to all user data on Twitter?
Let that question settle in for a few moments, because that is exactly what I have been alleging since, well, 2011, when the U.S. State Dept first collaborated with Twitter in a joint public-private partnership to use the platform as a communication tool exploiting the Arab Spring uprising in Egypt, Libya and beyond.
The issue of Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop is an issue of financial viability. The business model of Twitter just doesn’t exist as a free social media discussion platform while running the ultra-expensive data processing system needed for millions of simultaneous users. A global chat that requires exponential database responses as an outcome of simultaneous users is just ridiculously expensive. {Go Deep} However, if the computing system and massive database were being subsidized by the U.S. government, then the viability of the ‘free coffee‘ business model makes sense.
“Cloud computing is one of the core components of the strategy to help the IC discover, access and share critical information in an era of seemingly infinite data.” … “A test scenario described by GAO in its June 2013 bid protest opinion suggests the CIA sought to compare how the solutions presented by IBM and Amazon Web Services (AWS) could crunch massive data sets, commonly referred to as big data.” … “Solutions had to provide a “hosting environment for applications which process vast amounts of information in parallel on large clusters (thousands of nodes) of commodity hardware” using a platform called MapReduce. Through MapReduce, clusters were provisioned for computation and segmentation. Test runs assumed clusters were large enough to process 100 terabytes of raw input data. AWS’ solution received superior marks from CIA procurement officials”… (MORE)
The integration between Twitter and the United States Intelligence Community has been hiding in plain sight:
July 26, 2021, (Reuters) – A counterterrorism organization formed by some of the biggest U.S. tech companies including Facebook (FB.O) and Microsoft (MSFT.O) is significantly expanding the types of extremist content shared between firms in a key database, aiming to crack down on material from white supremacists and far-right militias, the group told Reuters.
Until now, the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism’s (GIFCT) database has focused on videos and images from terrorist groups on a United Nations list and so has largely consisted of content from Islamist extremist organizations such as Islamic State, al Qaeda and the Taliban.
Over the next few months, the group will add attacker manifestos – often shared by sympathizers after white supremacist violence – and other publications and links flagged by U.N. initiative Tech Against Terrorism. It will use lists from intelligence-sharing group Five Eyes, adding URLs and PDFs from more groups, including the Proud Boys, the Three Percenters and neo-Nazis.
The firms, which include Twitter (TWTR.N) and Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) YouTube, share “hashes,” unique numerical representations of original pieces of content that have been removed from their services. Other platforms use these to identify the same content on their own sites in order to review or remove it. (more)
A shared hashing protocol is a form of data system integration.
The databases of the identified social media platforms appear to be integrated with the U.S. intelligence system. This relationship makes the U.S government a stakeholder in the financial sustainability of the enterprise(s). Thus, a collaborative effort to subsidize the underlying data processing fits the mutual benefit scenario.
Against this demonstrably evident context, Elon Musk taking ownership of the platform becomes an interesting dynamic.
Twitter is still a scourge on society. It’s bad for you, and you should not use it.
Probably but I might sign up for it now.
Battered Conservative Syndrome is real.
Real ones never get “battered”. They hand it out.
I don’t think it would be wise do that until we see whether Musk will actually clean up the mess he has purchased. He has made most of his fortune from the Federal Government. His activities have mostly been above board, but nobody has taken more advantage of the Government’s propensity to through money at anyone who produces the things they want to see produced. People like him have been an insurance policy for the future of many useless Federal Bureaucracies, so they won’t mess with him unless they find him rooting around in one of their information silos. We don’t know how they will deal with him at that point. I am not trying to get up in your business, but I am not even entertaining the idea of signing up for Twitter unless Elon Musk takes out all of the trash from the giant Twitter garbage heap.
I don’t get it – is it something bad for a company to try to get the best tax breaks, prices, handouts – whatever it can to be profitable? This is a capitalist country, anyone criticizing musk for making too much money or being too good at business, is just bitching to bitch.
There is a nuance, a subtlety here YOU don’t seem to appreciate Mr. McGill.
The billions of profit Musk made were mostly through Govt “subsidies.”
When the govt gives you lot’s and lot’s of (the people’s) money, that’s not exactly what you or I call Capitalism.
I’m not saying it’s completely wrong, but it ain’t a slam dunk right either.
How is it a subsidy to Musk if the subsidy goes to the buyer of the electric vehicle? Sure it helps sell cars, but the subsidy is to incentivize the purchase. It is not direct $ to Tesla.
As to SpaceX, the government is paying to have satellites launched. Musk gets paid for that, and is providing a better service than ULA by reusing rockets and lowering costs. Not a subsidy.
Carbon credits don’t go to the buyer. Without them, Tesla would have been a sea of red ink.
When the government offered a $7500 incentive to buy electric vehicles, the next day GM and others raised their prices exactly $7500. The taxpayer gets the bill and the buyer gets hosed. The big car Corp gets rich.
How did you arrive at the 65% figure?
Yep, when the two parties decide to pay our funds out… Then we should probably direct our comments, blame and anger, at the two parties.
While also admitting that 65% of our false economy in the US comes from that process… And acknowledging that if they quit, we would pretty much cease to exist as a country.
Honest conversation is best.
Uhhh, this entire line of thought seems irrelevant. E Musk, a non-prog, has taken control of the enormously powerful Twitter platform and fired all the little F@scists and C0mmies who were previously censoring half the World. Previous is an unqualified positive, massive turn of events.
I am going to take the same “wait & see” approach, that I took when Sundance warned us about Ron DeSantis’s LOYALTY to Donald J. Trump!
I think that it is a wise idea to take the same approach with Elon Musk also.
^^^^^LOVE
“throw” lol
Glad to see that “might”…. as Sundance (who, by the way, has the best batting average in ANY league) suggests, “let’s wait and see”.
Never.
Ditto.
It’s sort of like a newsstand that has everything from high quality legit newspapers all the way down to sewage-like porn mags… You pick out what you’re interested in, and don’t bother with the rest.
Yes…IF I want to BUY a Porn Magazine to “look” at the Photos, instead of “Reading” the Articles, it’s MY own business. As long as I just look, I’m NOT going to “Rape & Pillage Your Daughters”! I am an adult, who can control himself, although I take great pleasure in “Winding-up the Liberal Loons in our Society”!
Ok. Whatever floats your boat. I was simply referring to being able to read the quality tweets and ignore the trash. I realize that some folks get heated and triggered by just seeing morally and spiritually-vapid trash posted in a social media app. Others just scroll on by……and seek out the good posts.
Klaus Schwab (“great reset”) v. Elon Musk
Thank you for these important ‘Reminders’.
Thanks for the info, but it isn’t pertinent to the topic at-hand. Elon Musk took away an enormous propaganda tool from DC & The Left writ large. This is an unqualified positive, regardless of whether E Musk is a Warmer, supports covid vaccines, or likes to eat rice krispies ever day for breakfast.
As are cell phones, for the most part.
twitter is a comment system, like this one, so stop commenting, it is bad for you and you should not comnent
“Actual” footage of Twitter HQ linked from Ace of Spades HQ. Be sure to crank up the volume:
Full thread – https://acecomments.mu.nu/?post=401603
Like it or not, Twitter has over a billion subscribers and absolutely huuuuge influence over national and international conversation. We would be stupid to just concede that playing field to the Left.
Elon now has his own swamp to drain.
At Today’s Twitter Employee Town Hall:
Musk, “First the Good News. You are all getting a change of Underwear.”
Employees Cheer!
Musk, “Charlie you change with Dave. Fernando you change with Patel…”
GROAN!
TWITTER … Anyone with access to Sundance’s pinpoint articles on this evil company/FBI Tool wouldn’t touch it with a 10 ft pole. I mean 3 metre pole. I hate metric. I think Musk is some sort of a Fake Federal Agent. No way he’s real. Someone is allowing him to do this. It’s a Big Club and we aren’t in it. Spendy McBlackface our PM is and Meat Puppet BIDEN doesn’t know he is in it. But he is.
Why, then, do so many posters here, including Sundance, post so many Twitter links?
You know how your friend is dating a girl who is total poison on the premise that she will change if he just loves her more?
Lots of people do stupid things that they know are wrong and then rationalize it.
Humans are rationalizing animals, not rational animals.
What if your friend is dating the poison girl in order to get to her lovely and not-poison sister ? We might call that clever.
Because unfortunately I don’t believe CTH site’s software can display posts from any other social media. If it did I’d be posting very substantive Truth Social posts.
Id sit down and read Truth Social’s TOS… It doesn’t inspire confidence beyond treating it’s users like Facebook or Twitter does.
You go ahead and read the TOS. I am actually on TS and have been since it was rolled out. I don’t see truthful posts being banned, nor do I see leftwing posters banned even though they lie and parrot MSM narratives. But I DO see malevolent offensive posters finally get turned off.
TS had to agree to some level of monitoring of threatening posts or else Google would not have allowed TS to have its app on the Google App Store for Android devices / phones. Since Android phones comprise about 80% of the smartphone market, that’s a huge user base the access to which would have been denied to TS.
I’m not sure you understand what I was getting at about TS and their TOS.
The point to my post was, they are exploiting data, devices and user information for resale just like everyone else is.
I’ll add to your comments about censorship, though an entirely different subject… It took them about two weeks to ban my wife.
Independent conservative women’s voices and opinions are not exactly welcome there either.
First, every social media app and 99% of all websites that require user registration exploit data, device I.D., and user info for profit. Thats no secret and has been going on since I can remember.
As to TS, I have posted very direct accusations on there, naming the politicians in the post. And they have been mostly Republicans I have criticized. I have not held back many times. I honestly have no idea what it takes to get banned there unless one is threatening to harm others.
Apparently you just need to be a female social media influencer with a conservative view and a rather large social media following.
Dev, that cannot possibly be true.
Look up these women on TS – they all meet your qualifications:
@therealtoriabrooke She has a huge following and is very popular
@traceybeanz likewise
@TrishRegan likewise
@KariLake likewise
@13TheThe yet another very popular female influencer
And many more. All women, conservatives, large following…
Another monopoly that needs to be busted up. Android was supposed to be an open platform.
Just another of their BIG LIES.
Oh yes. The infamous Google monster…..
It is, you can download the source code and modify it to your liking all day long.
Custom roms exist everywhere.
Much of the “tech gripping” is VERY Dunning-Kruger.
I wondered why I couldn’t post TS posts!
This is what you get by clicking the 3 dots down at the bottom right corner of a post, then selecting “copy link to post” :
https://truthsocial.com/users/DevinNunes/statuses/109247547004435238
Yes, thank you. It’s just the link. Unlike the free bird it doesn’t display the actual post. I wish TS displayed the post. Many don’t like to take the time to open the link. Thank you for showing me the method so I realize the link is all that can be posted.
Good question.
I can’t seem to post TruthSocial actual posts, just the link, which many are hesitant to access just links (can’t blame them). Someone advise how it can be done, if it’s possible.
That would be like asking why so many right orientated websites censor conservative comments while complaining about the left doing it.
That was a BIG problem here until the Twitter conversation started.
The word you’re looking for is spelled … hypocrisy!
Sundance was wrong trying to compare the metric of cost for TCTH on a single server versus advanced cloud tech relaying messages optimized by neural nets. What is ironic is you are speaking to a forum of folks whom post dozen of twitter links amongst them daily, including the sites owner. The other irony is the “I am a sovereign individual” types always tell us that “we” gotta do just like them or believe like them or we’re trolling, duped, don’r know nuthin’ etc.
I need to learn more big tech jargon. You lost me at “neural nets”
Try this –
https://news.ku.dk/all_news/2022/03/neural-networks-behind-social-media-can-consume-an-infinite-amount-of-energy/
I don’t think SD was trying to scale up a single server operation to a world-wide multi-million user operation. I believe he was scaling up much larger operations. He wasn’t doing that by himself; he has tech support and advisors working with him.
But even if he was, the cost appears to actually be far higher than then estimate produced by that scaling attempt. Artificial neural networks consume a LOT of energy, and are primarily used to tailor advertising to users profiles. Nevertheless, SD’s conclusion was accurate in that no private enterprise could afford to operate a social media platform of Twitter’s claimed scale without user fees, and/or significant endowment /donations, and/or significant advertising, and/or government subsidy.
Musk will eliminate a huge fixed cost burden by firing 75% of the workforce.
Well, before you throw the baby out with the bathwater…consider this tweet today….
He didn’t get deleted or banned for speaking the unspeakable truth.
Okie-dokie
Maybe the necessary computing requirements are not all that expensive. If Jack’s Coffee shop could turn a profit by charging $0.15 for a cup of coffee, and perhaps underwrite their costs with third party advertising, well now we knock starbucks out of business.
https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/10/democrats_are_aboard_the_big_data_emtitanicem.html
Jay Valentine published an article today on American Thinker about Fractal computing. They can use $4,000 computers or even an iPhone to do the work . The scary part of the scenario he is describing is that the digital world we live in exposes everything about everybody in real time, and cheap computers are fast enough to analyze any changes in a matter of seconds.
I disagree with Sundance that it’s impossible to operate a service like Twitter without massive black bag funding. This is what I do for a living. I do believe there *is* massive black bag funding, and it’s for the data processing Sundance exposed, but remove that and there are viable business models for operating a service like Twitter.
Whether Twitter as a business could survive the transition to those business models is a different matter. Users don’t like radical change, and it’s almost impossible to start charging for a “free” service after the fact. And since Musk seems to want to literally give the company away, I predict that after a couple of years Musk will sell the platform and it’ll be back in the hands of the Chinese anyway.
I believe you’re wrong. Read Ashley Vance’s biography on Elon Musk. Before PayPal, he started X.com which was a peer-to-peer payment service with the grand idea it would replace having to use brick-and-mortar banks – this was in the early 2000’s well before the smartphone revolution.
X.com merged with PayPal. Elon was ousted as CEO while he was out of the country, Thiel’s cohorts wanted to go a different direction (can’t remember the exact details, but it’s in the book) so they ousted Elon. As I recall Elon wasn’t wrong with the direction.
Long story short, Elon’s always dreamed of a platform where people could easily exchange payments with a lot of different things integrated, well before most people ever thought of owning a smart phone.
The acquisition of Twitter and taking it private gives him the ability to implement his idea. Like he’s said, “will it work? Who knows” – but he’s following through on his ideas.
eBay made that kind of system necessary. That’s why eBay eventually bought Paypal (when eBay was still a real auction site focused on individuals.) Paypal was critical to eBay’s growth and at that time Paypal was running into real issues with regulators as legacy banks tried to get them shut down. eBay used their might to make all those issues disappear.
Just the other day he wrote to advertisers about targeting only those interested in their products. If he can target those who search for a product before they buy it, then he could be very profitable. Now we get ads for stuff we already bought.
Me thinks you are dead on –
I think the black bag funding is irrelevant to the overall conversation. These companies resell user data to the government via subcontractors. That happens far more often than you would think.
That said…
Twitter’s cost of operation has been grossly misunderstood/explained here several times.
You just can’t compare the functionality to a WordPress site like TCH and draw any parallel conclusions.
That was an amazing article. Also, check out Valentine’s website.
https://jayvalentine.com/
Fascinating and scary, all at the same time.
Question: Is Alison Fauci’s job at Twit on the chopping block?
Was Dr. “Science” Fauci’s daughter hired based on merit or based on Daddy?
Another Alison, Alison Schumer, works for Facebook. Her sister, Jessica Schumer, works as a lobbyist for Amazon.
Strange how that happens.
As Joe the Producer would say, “weird.”
Like father like daughters. The crooks are multiplying.
“2011, when the U.S. State Dept first collaborated with Twitter in a joint public-private partnership to use the platform as a communication tool exploiting the Arab Spring uprising in Egypt, Libya and beyond.”
Can anyone help me find the date of this event that Sundance has referred to?
I did find this report but could not nail down a date.
https://www.state.gov/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Weapons-of-Mass-Distraction-Foreign-State-Sponsored-Disinformation-in-the-Digital-Age.pdf
Read the previous links within the article and go to the archives – it is eye popping how much valuable information our hero Sundance has cataloged…..
I believe what he is also referring to is the breathtaking rate of speed at which the “GO” signal to ignite the Arab Spring with the assistance of TWITTER…aka See I Aye…
Ask Journo, Laura Logan,… I am sure she knows as well now.
A quick search reveals:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/feb/25/twitter-facebook-uprisings-arab-libya
https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2011/11/6/the-arab-spring-chronicled-tweet-by-tweet
https://www.washington.edu/news/2011/09/12/new-study-quantifies-use-of-social-media-in-arab-spring/
And there are a TON more links (I used StartPage and the search term: 2011 arab spring twitter)
Their supposed watchful eye on “Right Wing” but never the left…They ARE the left. FBI in ANTIFA masks lighting fires, burning towns, and killing people. Scumbags!
Now we’ll see some integrity in not becoming what those executives had become. Only if he doesn’t just turn it around to give lifelong bans to those political, religious, and ideological enemies who used it as their long knife. Free speech means everyone competes for who has the superior message. There’s always hope that the exposé that began in 2016 will attest to good is superior to evil, and the truth is superior to lies.
My theory is Jack sort of had it forced on him by the VCs who had it in mind all along (that’s why they invested in a business they KNEW would never generate enough revenue to be a real business.) I think Jack lost control of it and that’s why he walked out and urged Elon to buy it and clean out the rats.
Isn’t it amazing how all these tech companies hire top executives or vice presidents ambassadors who were born to foreign parents and most are from India.
It is no coincidence why twatter employees mostly HB visa holder like many in the tech industry.
https://www.unz.com/article/radio-derb-beware-of-overclass-immigrants-who-want-to-dispossess-white-america/
Maybe American companies hire foreigners because American high school and college graduates have worthless diplomas?
They are trained here. Indian tech degrees are largely worthless – it is a big, known issue in India (google it). The H1B holders are virtually indentured servants driving down wages and opportunity. The government now allows fully 25% of all incoming classes to be foreign born to further increase the pool of H1B slaves (and gov pressure points) for high tech. The government has far more leverage over visa holders than natural born citizens. It’s all well documented since it’s been a big issue since the 80s.
Sounds like the bogus message that the Chamber of Commerce types have been feeding us. Most of these H1B visa holders are working in technical positions. Many of them graduated from our universities and are willing to work for much less, for a while, so that they can stay here. I don’t blame them and I don’t have to like it.
“The Bird is Free”…….inside the Truman Show.
A classmate of college is Jack Dorsey’s father. He was three years ahead of me and a campus leader, a good guy. After college, he never came by, word had it he went into the FBI. Hmmmmm.
.
Yep and the real question will be……….
Does Musk reveal the possible back end truth or does he appear to clean up just the front end?
Time will tell
This is going to be fun to watch!
I hope Elon makes all the emails between the swamp & Twitter public so everyone can see the deliberate manipulation of information. He will also need to fire all the self-riotous little twitter censors even though they all said they would quit, I doubt they will.
Elon could make a huge dent in the swamp by making all the dirty dealings public, I hope he will but I am reserving judgement. In the meantime, I wonder how all the non-journalists in the corporate media will “write” their stories without the reliable twitter sewer to draw from.
I think that they will throw the $$$$ ( untraceable) into Yahoo news.
Their “business model” bears many similarities to twitter’s. Twitter
censors opposing voices, Yahoo news instantly goes into CYA, attack
mode to protect the narrative.
6 of 1…..
See if a lot of “Journalists” start linking to sites (suddenly) like
Yahoo news. The usual suspects will be dropping Twitter like a hot
potato. They will give Twitter the same treatment they’ve given
Fox News , particularly when O’crock Ofraudo was president.
I bet all these emails were deleted and the devices wiped with a cloth and disinfected with bleach then smashed with a sledgehammer.
The State would not have allowed this acquisition if they believed that Musk would expose them. He has obviously agreed to allow them to keep their nefarious data collection and propaganda capabilities in the interest of ‘National Security’; the blanket under which almost all Tyranny sleeps peacefully.
Excellent. I still will not use Twitter. But most excellent
Twitter is where the action is when speaking of social media.
Don’t see anything wrong with joining the platform and reading all the Tweets.
You may have inadvertently hit upon a change, that one, in the future, must be a member to read the tweets. Currently, that’s not the case AFAIK from a platform status.
With a mature and popular platform, subscriptions supplanting ad revenues may be on the horizon as well.
I’ll be curious to see if PDJT uses Twitter again, even if his account is reactivated. He’s stated Truth Social is his platform of choice now.
This is something I didn’t see coming and it sure is fun today but I can’t help buy think another Deep State plot is going on. Perhaps we will think The Bird is freed but the same stuff will be going on, maybe worse.
Folks are having fun testing Twitter’s alleged new freedom of speech algorithms:
That is hilarious! What a difference freedom of speech makes! I don’t care what people think of Elon’s motivations or Twitter, this is epic and I’m gonna enjoy watching it. Hell, I might even join in the fun even though I have never tweeted in my life. Musk has my full support on this one until he proves me wrong.
We certainly have alot of buzzkills on this side of the aisle. They just love casting shade and aspersions at any and all who do not toe their line and box themselves in. And of course everybody except their current political idol of the day is a shill, deep state operative and worse. To hear them tell it Mr. Musk, who has more eff you money than anyone on the planet is only in this because Pelosi and Schumer and he white shoe intel boys are bossing him around when collectively they cannot come close to the creative intellectuality and business acumen of Mr. Musk. He can’t possibly be doing this because twitter pissed him off, banned Babylon Bee, messed with his account, was stoked by thousands of tweets to buy it and he was gonna flex and the outcome would be a platform he could complete the launch of some of his earliest big plans. The deep state manufactured the whole setup to hear tell of the story from these buzzkillers. It shows an incredible lack of insight and confirmation bias with no proofs to back it all up.
Musk shaves monkeys’ heads, places electrodes on them, and would really like you to be chipped up and a cyborg, with all your thoughts being downloaded into some computer bank, to be shared with everyone. No difference between Musk, Gates, Schwab…
Musk has stated that the tech will be used for helping quadraplegics and otherwise disabled folks who can still use their brains to communicate via computer interface. That does make him much different than Schwab and Gates. You also have a very poor understanding of neurology and electronic interfacing. They will not and probably never will be able to download your thoughts. They will be able to identify regions of the brain that light up under various circumstances.
The twat replies to Greg are a Hoot! “Yes, Virginia, there are sane people left among us!”
I went over to Twitter and it is amazing. Everyone is posting underneath this original post and they are all testing the waters by saying things that would have gotten you banned 24 hours ago: groomers, trans-losers, the fraud “vaccines”, whack off your male genitalia and you are still a man, Rachel Levine’s REAL Name and gender, the origins of the CV19 virus, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, a short clip of President Trump, the removal of Hydroxychloroquin and Ivermectin from the medical community, election was stolen, the “sudden” deaths, Hunter’s laptop, Fauci funded the virus, and more!!
It is like a party of people celebrating Freedom of Speech. Amazing! The Trolls over there are silent.
Or an elaborate trap to out all the people who need to be eliminated under the new world order.
I know, I know, but if ten years ago I had told you all the bizarre stuff that’s happened over the last seven years, you would have called me a lunatic. What’s that old saying? Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.
Don’t worry, they already know who you are because you are here at the Conservative Treehouse. Going over to Twitter won’t change a thing other than upset the Snowflakes. I guess at some point I’ll post a photo of me in my MAGA gear just to really stick it to the NWO idiots.
Awesome. The buzzkillers around here with their FUD need to chill and enjoy. They won’t..They will be deep stating this and that or subliminally jealous some upstart pot smoker sending rockets to outer space did more for freeing speech in one day than most will accomplish in a lifetime.
And Conservative tweeters “followers #” going up by 10’s of 1000’s, all of a sudden.
Saw one twit post that all 7 statements were wrong, other than than almost all responses were positive or adding additional formerly banned material.
Elon should have demoted them to Bathroom Cleaner Personnel instead of giving them the Donald Trump treatment – “You’re Fired!” That way, they would resign and have no recoure to law suits to drag this overhaul and delousing out.
“Happy Flight, Free Bird!”
And they wouldn’t be able to collect unemployment.
Rush always said Twitter was a cesspool. I’ll go with him.
That pretty much describes the entire internet though. There are many many sites that people should enter carefully, if at all.
Rush said there was WMD in Iraq. Got alot of innocent people killed. Musk..Nobody that I know of.
Here is one fella who agreed with Rush. I believe still, that those WMD were transported elsewhere.
Awesome. So let’s let the Bush clan run free to rob the Baghdad bank of it’s gold and kill over half a million Iraqis. Believe what you want. The Iraqi civies who died/were murdered did nothing and the WMD propaganda pics showed a mobile truck which could have been taken out with a surgical strike. But that was not the goal. The goal was invasion and taking the oil. Rush was a neocon. There is blood on anybody’s hands who rah rah siss boom bah-ed that debacle. Do you also believe the Iraqi soldiers were stealing incubators and tossing their current inhabitants on the floor in Kuwait?
So now Musk owns a sewer.
Doing a better job of cleaning out the main effluvia blockages though. At last he fired them. PTrump could learn a few lessons from a CEO more successful than he is about top personal management and who not to surround yourself with..
“How would it damage the U.S. government if claims about the Chinese government having access to all user data on TikTok, are shown to be identical to the U.S. government having access to all user data on Twitter?”
Doesn’t this imply that the people who make every post a link to twatter could actually be a gov’t employee trying to steer conservative posters into twat links so that they may be indentified (and tracked)?
I’m pretty sure they can track us no matter where we go on the internet. That’s just the way it is so why worry about it?
Saw a statement a while back (It may have been on The Patriot Post.. not certain) along the lines of: Imagine if, twenty or so years ago, the government wanted to implant devices under the skin on everyone… what resistance there would have been… YET, with cellphones, the populace gleefully agreed to be monitored everywhere, about anything in which they were engaged.
Not much different with Twitter. Never had it, Never will… In Either dimension.
Interesting that so far as I can see, there is not a single twatter link in this thread.
FBI laying low??
Ha ha. Maybe they had to take a day off to hug each other and talk about the dangers of white people.
Trust but Verify.
Peace thru
Strength, a SINK! /sLol
Elon gives the Birdie the Bird!
A very nice way to start the day Elon. Sacking the CEO, CFO, and the Minister of Untruths.
Thats like getting a birdie on the first hole.
Carry on and have a good round.
Elon has the means to change all social media around the world. All it takes is a neutral format for any social media post. What I mean by that is a technical format that can be sent and received by any user of any SM company.
Think of it like email. You can send and receive email to and from anyone. It doesn’t matter what service they use.
Can you think of any company that has a monopoly on email service? You don’t need any particular company to communicate. I think Musk will go this route opening up SM to everyone. SM accounts will be a dime a dozen after Musk sells the tech to every Tom Dick and Harry around the world. This may very well dilute the usage so much that people finally become bored with it.
Every company that gives away SM accounts will have other services that make money. SM will be packaged with all computers, cellphones, and maybe even cars that can access it on their screens. The tech monopolies and power trips that make these companies think they are better than everyone, will end.

I reckon we are about to find out if the Russian oligarchs and U.S. oligarchs are joined at the hip. If he’s really dead-serious about opening up the twitterverse, Elon might want to ask Donald Trump for some personal security pointers.
The linked article was published May 02, 2022: https://www.takimag.com/article/the-death-of-free-speech/
FTA:
Elon Musk buying Twitter in order to restore it as a free-speech platform will most likely break the glass on this democracy business. Google, Apple, and Amazon will reimpose censorship on Twitter, if Musk even bothers to lift it. He did not become the richest man on earth by not understanding the nature of power. It is his exploitation of power relations that has allowed him to become an oligarch.
Even if he has taken a blow to the head and tries to challenge his fellow oligarchs on the issue, he will be crushed. Maybe someone should tweet the obituaries of Leonid Shulman, Alexander Tyulakov, Mikhail Watford, Vladislav Avayev, and Sergey Protosenya to Musk on Twitter. Oligarchical systems will always defend the system against oligarchs who threaten the system.
They are a cynical bunch over there. I appreciate the amusing reads ofttimes. More of a socialite quasi-elitist mindset than business minded like Valutainment who I would take their opinion more seriously.
I’ve read that article closely at least 5 times. I don’t get anything elitist from those readings. I searched the names of those Russians to make sure. Did I miss something? Are there factual errors in the article? It’s for sure the authoritarian bureaucracy and the woke corporations are working in tandem here in the U.S. Musk is as much a part of that setup as Mike Bloomberg.
It is inconsiderate of you to paint such a widely varied stable of writers with the broad brush of wholesale cynicism. I don’t believe Theodore Dalrymple or Steve Sailer or Pat Buchanan are cynical. David Cole and Ann Coulter? Yeah, they both are steeped in cynicism. Taki himself (the founder of the site) comes by his uppercrust attitude honestly–he was born into it in Greece. Joe Bob Briggs has some great columns archived on that site. When Joe Bob moved back to Texas from NYC, he resigned his post at Taki’s.
I read them often over the years. I like Taki but he is a NYC social butterfly. Theodor is sensible. Sailor is persistent. Pat is Pat. They also host Ann Coulter who is quite cynical and petulant but she does great with firing off zingers. Regardless. They are a stew of cultural commentary and not business minded. I also appreciate they are not afraid to take shots at the great shibboleths of bogus racism and international jewry.
Interesting that it has taken a non-conservative to do the game-changing work in the culture wars that conservative leaders have shown zero interest in doing over the past 40 years.
Read the putdowns of Musk from the “staunchest” conservatives around here. One day the perfect conservative political idol will come riding in wearing a powdered wig and waving the Constitution on a red, white and blue star spangled steed with a swooping eagle in tow and then they can finally unpucker. It will be quite an orgiastic burst of pent up and bridled energies, unfurling in great mega-spirals of compacted relief. So great I doubt if a recoilless sphincter rewinder would be of any utility.
Most conservative leaders of the past forty years until Trump suffered under a form of Helsinki syndrome. They were so used to getting no results and doing nothing to advance conservative causes, they internally accepted it. It’s why the Left has rapidly infiltrated our institutions, including corporations and education.
Go along to get along has never worked out for the Right. The Left always wins that battle.
They were not scared. They were in on the $cam. They allowed this to happen because they were getting rewarded $$$$ for their behavior.
Sometimes God uses imperfect people (because we all are) or even people on the other team to do His work. I agree with you. The “conservatives” did nothing but cry on Fox, write books, and watch their bank balances increase.
Is Elon Musk one of them? Or with us?
I hear tell from the sly twits mouth himself he is for humanity. Imagine the cojones on him declaring such heresy in a time of utter division.
Change all the Twitter software Admin passwords and check to
make sure that none of the fired Twitter employees made any
software Backdoors into Twitter.
Sadly, that is there. Sundance has a post here related to it somewhere.
Elon might just clean up the user interface by running a non-partisan platform but the surveillance services can still remain. They just won’t use the company to suppress or promote any more. And if there has been fraud in the participation numbers that can be cleaned up too.
So you can have a vibrant world-wide town square without Intelligence getting involved with skewing the conversation. He is almost certainly still working WITH Intelligence on this because by demonizing the right they undermined the relevance of the entire platform so a changing of the guard is necessary to rehabilitate the brand.
Delicious! Do more!
Love the faces – especially Obama’s.
Hope that free tweety bird enjoys its joyride. Sooner or later Mr. Fox is going to take it down.
Free! Free!
Until it isn’t.
Sundance, I really don’t understand how you can be so knowledgeable about so many different areas. When I first came across your site, just before the 2016 election, I was very skeptical about whether you really knew what you were talking about, mostly because I didn’t want to believe it was true (Crossfire Hurricane) but I’m a skeptic no longer. I applaud your hard work and ability to synthesize so much information into a readable, understandable format. Thank you so much for what you do
Elon brought in a sink so he could watch these commies swirling quickly down the drain!
Mr. Musk fired Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal, and the Head of Legal Policy, Vijaya Gadde, the person who took responsibility for banning former President Donald Trump from the social media platform.
——
These people who censored MAGA, Conservatives and those that questioned BIG GOV and BIG CORP got millions of dollars
in severance payments via Musk and Big gov supplied tax dollars.
I would call that a reward.
Prediction: Musk is just another gatekeeper. We already have some neocons, including Dan Crenshaw, praising the Musk acquisition.
Wait and see is the proper
“Head of Legal Policy, Vijaya Gadde, the person who took responsibility for banning former President Donald Trump from the social media platform.”
The “who took responsibility” is interesting… Note Sundance’s comment above…
Yes. I hope it works out for the positive. We can always use more free speech avenues. Mr. Musk is certainly positioned to became a true hero. We will see if he is up to it.
Whenever I see an Alexa, I always ask “Hey Alexa, is Hillary in Jail?”.
Naturally, we don’t have an “Alexa” at home.
Sundance: Thanks for that link to MINT PRESS NEWS. Very Interesting information to ‘keep eyes on’.
Q: What do you call a busload of high Twitter Execs at the bottom of San Francisco Bay?
A: A good start.
Thank you Elon, you be the man.
MAGA takeover of GOP is a hostile takeover. First order of business is remove McConnell and McCarthy from leadership positions.
Actually, its more than that, need to clean out the whole top leadership TEAM; In Senate and House, both wings of the Uniparty have an official but very real “line of succession” like the official one for POTUS.
After all, the leaders are all OLD, and they can’t risk losing power.
If we get McConnell out, only to replace him with Thune, get McCarthy out only to replace with Scalise, we achieve NOTHING.
About 17-20 “Decepticons” in the Senate, and a comperable PERCENTAGE in the House, that have to be purged.
And that takes multiple election cycles, time that we don’t HAVE.
STATE Legislatures, however are by comparison far easier to make MAGA Majorities.
Great Halloween costume; Twitter employee holding a cardboard box!
Gadde “took responsibility” or credit for banning Trump.
Find the people behind this and fire them too. They will be in Public Policy, Government Affairs, Civic Affairs, Criminal Affairs… 😉
I’d like to see these live again too. This is a crime and should be investigated. These should be public records if everything else is.
That chick Gadde was an immigrant from India who hated the First Amendment and got Twitter to allow the Ayotollah Khomeni to spew his evil while banning Trump She banned as much conservative thought as she could. They probably recruited her from a telemarketing scam outfit over there.
I am not even going to pretend I care about their firings. Not going to insult anyone by claiming that I do.
Why?
When Conservatives were being hunted down, hounded 24/7, silenced in the public arena of ideas, fired from their jobs for not being ‘woke’ enough – all of these people celebrated.
I won’t celebrate.
But I won’t think on this anymore either after I’ve pushed ‘post’.
