Igor Danchenko was a well-known fabricator of (dis)information long before the FBI made the purposeful decision to enlist him in their Trump targeting efforts. Specifically because Danchenko had no moral compass to the truth he was particularly useful for the FBI effort. This was the big problem for John Durham in prosecuting Danchenko for material lies the FBI knew from the outset were false.
How does the same DOJ who used the lies for their political purposes, then prosecute the liar for the false information? That was always the structural flaw in any case brought by Durham. As a result, the trial was not so much about the lying Danchenko as it was about the lying FBI and their use of Danchenko.
A jury found Igor Danchenko not guilty on four counts of lying to the FBI, on four occasions. (1) Danchenko told FBI agents he received a phone call in late July 2016 Sergei Millian. However, Danchenko knew he had never received a call from Millian. (2) Danchenko gave a false statement to FBI agents that he “was under the impression” that the late July 2016 call was from Millian. (3) Danchenko falsely stated to FBI agents that he believed he spoke to Millian on the phone on more than one occasion. And (4) Danchenko lied that he “believed he has spoken to [Millian] on the telephone,” when Danchenko well knew he had never spoken to Millian.
The FBI didn’t care about the details of the lies that were told to them; the lies served a purpose. The FBI purpose was to use the Steele Dossier as the foundation for a fraudulent all-encompassing search warrant against the Trump campaign and presidency, using Carter Page. That construct was always the motive of the DOJ/FBI use of Danchenko, Chris Steele and the infamous dossier that gave the DOJ the patina they needed for the FISA application.
The trial itself showed how corrupt the FBI and DOJ were in this scheme by: A) offering Chris Steele $1 million for proof of the dossier content. B) By making Danchenko a confidential human source for two years to shield him, “sources and methods”, from investigative inquiry. C) By paying Danchenko $200,000 for his time as a useful tool and confidential human source.
As noted in the summary of the trial by Technofog:
[…] “What is more important is that which informs our understanding of the Trump/Russia investigation and the FBI/DOJ/Mueller misconduct that sparked Crossfire Hurricane and continued through the Mueller investigation. That information was revelatory. The institutions were on trial alongside Danchenko, with Durham recognizing in closing arguments that “the FBI mishandled the investigation at issue.” And the institutions rightly suffered. Danchenko might have been spared, but is there any reasonable doubt as to the FBI’s incompetence – and guilt? (read more)
As CTH has stated from the outset of the entire scheme, the problem is institutional corruption. The personnel, administration, leadership and participants, within the DOJ, DOJ-NSD and FBI are corrupt.
Institutions do not become corrupt by themselves. People within the institutions are the cause of the corruption, and every person attached to the Trump-Russia investigation – including Robert Mueller, are corrupt. It was a scheme in 2016, which became a coverup operation in 2017, which became an explosive institutional problem in 2019 which Bill Barr was trying to manage.
Institutional Preservation – Bill Barr applied the Bondo to the rusted framework of the DOJ and FBI, and John Durham applied the spray paint by not targeting anyone inside the justice department.
John Durham only focused, perhaps because he was only allowed to focus, on the external participants to the originating schemes. One thing is clear, John Durham never once mentioned the corrupt nature of the Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann coverup operation.
Danchenko was represented by the same lawyers representing Hillary Clinton because at the heart of Danchenko’s intent was an effort to support Hillary Clinton in the 2016 October surprise they were constructing using fabricated claims of Trump colluding with Russia to win the election.
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia — A jury has found Russian national Igor Danchenko not guilty on four false statements charges, declining to convict him for the allegations that the main source of British ex-spy Christopher Steele had lied to the FBI about his sourcing for the discredited anti-Trump dossier.
The jury reached their decision on Tuesday after less than two days of deliberations, delivering John Durham another defeat in his long-running investigation of the Trump-Russia investigators, after the special counsel lost another false statements case against a Clinton campaign lawyer in May. Igor Danchenko found not guilty on all counts.
No shock – it's hard to win a false statements case when the FBI and Mueller were uninterested in pursuing the truth.

Any patriots still living in DC need to evacuate the area ASAP.
Actually they should stand their ground and try to change it back to lawfulness. We the People cannot abandon our nation’s capital.
We should all move there.
Yes! It will be fun! Hold my beer!
It was abandoned in 1963 with JFK’s murder by the DC Deep State Cabal. The USSA is a Foreign Occupied Country. If you have any questions ask the FIB.
Try to hold your County first.
Yes. I was a 15 year old kid on Nov. 22, 1963 and even I could sense that Kennedy’s murder was a large scale conspiracy. Does anybody else remember Jack Ruby giving a brief interview to reporters? I remember it from that time and I’ve also seen it on you tube. Maybe it’s still there. He was asked by one persepacious reporter, likely a working class stiff, which most were at that time…Jack can you tell us what really happened with Kennedy, what do you know? Words to that effect. And he said, I’m paraphrasing: it was US intelligence and LBJ; a whole new form of government was taking over. I think Ruby and Oswald were up to their eyeballs in CIA operations in Dallas. It sounded crazy at the time and was not covered by the MSM. But it still rings true. Ike tried to warn JFK and us in his military-industrial complex speech. He knew as he was leaving the White House that power was leaking away from elected officials and was not moving into the best of hands.
It is interesting that in 1962 and 1963 the U.S. Supreme Court made two landmark decisions declaring organized public school prayer and such religious practices as recitation of The Lord’s Prayer and readings from the Bible to be unconstitutional.
Students as individuals or in groups at public schools can still pray and express their religious beliefs at public school as long as they are not perceived as disruptive, discriminatory, or coercive to peers who don’t share the same beliefs. Also, religions can be taught about in an objective way. President Bill Clinton in 1995 issued a Memorandum on Religious Expression in Public Schools that answers lots of questions about the practical applications of U.S. laws.
There are still a few, though their opinions have to be kept “close hold” within the halls of government.
So we’re never going to learn the origins of that $10,000.00 bait money given to Papadopolous.
Never going to find out who used Samatha Power’s logon credentials DOZENS OF TIMES to unmask Gen. Flynn et. al.
Never going to find out the backstory of the Russian lawyer chick who tried to set up Manafort & Don, Jr. at that stupid Trump tower meeting.
Nothing about Joseph Mifsud & Stephan Halper.
etc.
etc.
Par for the course.
Never going to learn how many of the lies conveniently tied back to previous FBI investigations, closed but miraculously reopened, covered by Glenn Simpson while he worked for the WSJ. Never going to learn how some of the lies were “unrecognized” cases previously handled by Robert Levinson.
We know a considerable amount about some of the details. What we don’t know is how Petey Strzok and all handle prison showers.
We know the story about Trump Tower meeting. It was about Magninski and Manafort seemed to be the only person who understood what was being discussed. His notes were leaked and show he was clearly following the conversation. Right before leaving Russia, Natalia Veselnitskaya surveillance photos were circulated by Bill Browder peddler of Magninski. Fusion GPS was recommended to her for the Prevezon case. She believes it was a setup to further Russia Russia Russia. I believe this aspect as well.
This is about getting rid of Putin. Look where we are now.
How long since the Supreme Court Roe decision was leaked? Crickets. Couldn’t have been more than 20 or 30 people privy to that information and they still can’t tell us who it was. Or won’t tell us.
No we won’t. It will be like the Kennedy assassination. Books will be written by private investigators each getting portions of the truth. They will be investigated by the IRS and FBI and called conspiracy theorists. Some people will read them and shrug and sign. The GOP House will hold hearings some like Jim Jordan will pound the table and tear witnesses apart but the media won’t cover it and few will care. Tucker will cover the hearings and he will be called a conspiracy theorist too. I’m afraid this is the dead end. The corruption of the FBI and DOJ is complete.
Case for all of these unconstitutional institutions to be fully abolished in 2024
surely the Primary Premise cannot be that FBI is interested in truth and so will not tolerate lying !
wake up sheep-people
I’m shocked, shocked I say!
“Shocked there is gambling going on in here!”
“Your winnings sir,”
“Oh, thank you very much!”
“Ah Paris, I remember it well, you wore blue, the Germans wore gray.”
😆👏❤
Perfect recall!
At least the jury made it clear that the FBI knew Danchenko was lying. That alone reveals that the whole thing was a sham.
Sham agency and sham government.
Small steps….
Reading the tweets replying to Grenell is enough to turn your stomach. They show how little the left understands of the issues involved. They think that Danchenko being found not guilty of lying to the FBI means that everything in the Steele dossier is true. They ignore the fact that the FBI agent testified that they offered Steele $1,000,000 to verify the dossier and he couldn’t collect.
Then they go on about how every Trump supporter should reread the “highly credible” Mueller Report apparently missing the testimony that showed that Mueller lied to Congress when he said that the Steele dossier was outside his purview. This trial destroyed any credibility that Mueller might have had left.
If Twitter ever were to take down non-factual tweets from the left, the site would be practically empty.
Some people said something, some people did something. We paid for it, we get to continue to pay for their salaries, perks, pensions. What’s next? Republican hearings. Dems arrested and incarcerated Stone, Manafort on Trumped up charges in a matter of months. Don’t forget to pay your taxes so the gravy train can continue.
But they were clever enough to allow Manafort’s partner, Tony Podesta, off the hook, two hops saved him.
Most of those comments are bots or being artificially inflated by Twitter. Why do you think they’re having a meltdown over Musk.
All efforts to renew or reform a fundamentally flawed system will fail. We did not get here in a vacuum. The nation is sunk, get right with God and your family… and least reform yourself. The fall comes soon and no R can stop it.

Fmr. Federal Prosecutor Kash Patel reacts to the ‘not guilty’ verdict from the Danchenko trial
https://americasvoice.news/video/xBLZ5ijbeFQhKzI/
One of the elements in the loose pattern I saw in reviewing things like Epstein or Boys Town is — once the Big Hitters in the FBI/DOJ + MSM are sent into a local story about Horrible Crimes by the Elite that catches national attention — if they cannot erase the initial understanding of what’s been happening by pumping out the message that it was a “Satanic Panic” or some other catch phrase to shut down minds — they will get around to — botching a Grand Jury or Trial to give the Official Stamp of Approval to their narrative.
If the Elites thought this case was big enough to warrant it — a couple of years from now – we would see Hollywood pump out a made-for-tv movie or documentary about Danchenko making him a tragic hero of a fascist witch hunt or a Lone Gunman-type who might have been bad but was surrounded by good, honest civil servants just trying to get to the truth…
Kash Patel calls for another Church Committee!
40 years ago, Church Committee investigated Americans spying on Americans
Thomas Young Wednesday, May 6, 2015
This week marks the 40th anniversary of the Church Committee calling CIA Director William Colby to testify on revelations that U.S. intelligence agencies had engaged in controversial covert action against foreign leaders and U.S. citizens. Chaired by Senator Frank Church (D-ID), the committee held a series of hearings and published 14 reports as it investigated the legality of intelligence operations by the CIA, NSA, and FBI, including attempts to assassinate foreign leaders, spying on Martin Luther King, Jr., and monitoring the political activities of other U.S. citizens. Today, the reforms put in place following the Church Committee hearings are up for discussion in the wake of the Edward Snowden intelligence leaks and the revelation of how much data the government, especially the NSA, was collecting on U.S. citizens.
Brookings Nonresident Senior Fellow Stuart Taylor, Jr. detailed the history of U.S. government surveillance programs, and the Church Committee’s response, in his Brookings Essay, “The Big Snoop: Life, liberty, and the Pursuit of Terrorists,” writing that:

Paul Sperry:
BREAKING: Gen. Michael Flynn, who was Trump’s national security adviser, told me in the wake of the Danchenko trial, which ended in the acquittal of the anti-Trump dossier fabricator, that Durham should be ashamed of himself for losing another case in the Russiagate scandal.
“The whole episode makes the DOJ and FBI look wholly corrupt or wholly incompetent or a combination of the above, neither of which is good for the country and neither instills any confidence in the rule of law for the average citizen,” Flynn said.
Flynn continued, “It’s disgraceful, and clear evidence exists that treason or certainly fraud occurred by the Clinton campaign and by the leadership inside both organizations. Durham should be ashamed. Whatever his reputation as a thorough prosecutor was is now gone.”
Like I said, give the man a participation trophy. He meant to accomplish nothing and he succeeded.
From Durham’s perspective, how do you prosecute a case when you know your witnesses are liars and are willing to lie on the stand? He still has a duty to the court. I had an AUSA friend with this same problem years ago, multiple homicide case, how do you call an FBI agent to testify when you know he lied under oath repeatedly?
Jesus was correct: the father of liars is Satan. Regardless of any permissions granted by the court system or federal bureaucracy, whose father they have embraced.
Yeah well, the good general knows where the bodies are buried, supposedly. Whoopee, Durham should be ashamed?
That is all he’s got?
Truth on a stick. Flynn’s statement about Durham:”Whatever his reputation as a thorough prosecutor was, is now gone.”
Just one big happy family
According to his interview with the F.B.I., Mr. Steele contacted Mr. Danchenko around March 2016 and assigned him to ask people he knew in Russia and Ukraine about connections, including any ties to corruption, between a pro-Russian government in Ukraine and the veteran Republican strategist Paul Manafort.

I think Durham deserves a participation trophy!
Hopefully he will also consume enough prune juice to erase that scowl from his face.
It is very disappointing to see fellow Americans make a mockery of our courts by letting a guilty person walk. A traitor to the Constitution and the principle of self-governance and they let him walk. The greatest crime in American history will go unpunished with the full details of the crime left unanswered. We will never know all of the names of those involved who are still working in government or the extent of their treachery in this treasonous act. We can be assured that treachery such as this is guaranteed in the future, due to the resounding success of the Get Trump operation. They hobbled his administration at every turn, with the mad dog media ONLY exhibiting hostility towards him. I do not have faith in the validity of our elections and will not have faith until the 2020 steal is resolved and paper ballots reinstated.
This nation fell by the actions of unelected American and foreign enemies. These are out of reach of our semi-pointless ballots and plant evil everywhere they exist. The purge is around the corner and millions are praying for this charade to end.
Durham added that the explanation for the bureau’s appalling performance could be that it is “simply incompetent” or possibly that it was “working in coordination.”
He does not appear to have stated with whom the FBI might have worked in coordination…
So if the Republicans take the House is there a possibility that this possibility of “working in coordination” will continue to be investigated by Durham team, which apparently has some good people on it?

Americans who walked into a public building are serving more jail time than any perpetrator of Russiagate.
Every political trial should be moved at least 500 miles from DC.

You just admitted what a crock our Capitol is. Lots of nice (Masonic) architecture filled with the most corrupt, vile, greedy humans we could possibly find and elect.
Shocking /s hahahahahah
OK Durham, indict the DOJ/FBI persons…. or be indicted yourself.
If State tribunals become necessary you will not be spared.
A Virginia jury… did Danchencko met with the FBI in Virginia? Or DC?
Disgusting verdict.
Kudos to John Durham for exposing, at least partially, the truth of Russiagate to TDS victims, lazy journalists, and to normal people who haven’t been following the story.
https://nypost.com/2022/10/17/kudos-to-john-durham-for-exposing-the-truth-of-russiagate/
Exposure suffices? These people attempted to frame a president!
Partial exposure was the best one could reasonably hope for in this particular trial. Perhaps it will suffice for purposes of the next election and future congressional investigations. At least it should suffice for the history books.
How very GOP.
You forgot the most important part of that article … “By Andrew C. McCarthy”
Sorry but McCarthy is just another member of republican UNIPARTY, trying to whitewash what’s happened. He writes “John Durham is letting the sun shine.” No, Durham is making sure that only a little light gets through the clouds … just enough to make it seem like Durham and McCarthy are doing something effective. To AGAIN fool the republican base.
The reality is that both Durham and he are part of the deep state. First clue where McCarthy is concerned? He still works for National Review. Second clue … he wrote that Trump committed an impeachable offense during J6th. Third clue … he lamented voting for Trump in 2016. He says “Durham deserves our praise. Under the circumstances, he has a motive to soft-pedal the FBI’s misconduct, to try to keep the jury focused on the defendant who is actually charged in the case.”
But what McCarthy overlooks is that by doing what Durham did, he gave the jury the means to not convict Danchenko. So the Deep State gets to have their cake and eat it too … because there is no indication that Durham will take what he found any further. Indeed, McCarthy’s September 18th article (https://nypost.com/2022/09/18/john-durhams-final-act-exposing-the-fbi/ ) was titled “John Durham’s final act: exposing the FBI”. Even then he knew this was all Durham would ever do.
He claims Durham exposed the FBI, but he didn’t, not when he absolved the FBI of wrong doing … portrayed them as a victim who was lied to … which we all know that was not the case. And he just ignores that Durham never even investigated Mueller’s role in this conspiracy to topple a sitting President. And the CIA’s. And Obama’s. McCarthy ignores many other damning facts about Durham’s effort … facts that reek of deliberate incompetence.
The truth is that Durham did exactly what Barr appointed him there to do … whitewash what happened, knowing full well that with what he presented would allow Danchenko to be acquitted by the DC jury. Knowing full well that the mainstream media … the only media that counts as far as the Deep State is concerned … would portray THAT as a victory for the Hillary and proof that Russiagate was legit. Sundance is 100% right about Durham and Barr … and even a blind man can see it.
But not McCarthy.
“McCarthy is just another member of republican UNIPARTY, trying to whitewash what’s happened.”
Maybe, but writing something like this is a strange way to go about whitewashing:
https://nypost.com/2022/10/12/utter-proof-the-fbi-framed-trump-and-shielded-hunter/
Yes, McCarthy is still writing for National Review, and I assume he’s still anti-Trump, but he’s also writing some longer and more outspoken pieces in the NY Post.
If memory serves, McCarthy began by trying to defend Comey, whom he had worked with personally, but he eventually changed his mind about Comey’s honesty. Even if he is anti-Trump, I doubt that he is deliberately trying to shield the higher levels of the Obama administration from exposure.
If McCarthy has some credibility with the anti-Trump people that alternative media people don’t have, then so much the better for the exposure.
McCarthy: Durham added that the explanation for the bureau’s appalling performance could be that it is “simply incompetent” or possibly that it was “working in coordination.” He does not appear to have stated with whom the FBI might have worked in coordination; the implication points to the Clinton campaign, which sponsored the dossier — opposition research based on which Hillary Clinton argued that Trump was a Putin puppet.
Perhaps McCarthy is trying to whitewash it, but then again perhaps he simply isn’t yet at the point where he would begin to suspect corrupt “coordination” with the Republican-led Senate Select Committee on Intelligence as well.
And yet he knows that Comey was a Republican, and he knows first-hand how fanatical never-Trumpers can be. Since he himself, however, does not seem to suffer from TDS, I would not automatically rule out the possibility of him at some point writing an article on “The Bi-Partisan Nature of the Russiagate Plot.”
When I see a reference to Andrew McCarthy, my initial reaction is similar if it was Alan Dershowitz, that is, suspicious.
Indeed, Komrade. I would argue that the reason conservatives held a favorable view of Comey for as long as we did is because McCarthy extolled him. It was McCarthy who gave Comey credibility and this was because of conservatives’ high regard for Andrew McCarthy (myself included). McCarthy had to be peeled kicking and screaming away from his Comey adulation and his disbelief that his good friend could be corrupt.
But doesn’t he deserve some praise for eventually connecting the dots (at least many of them) and going public with his change of mind? A significant number of Republican anti-Trumpers, having trust in him, could perhaps only effectively be enlightened by him.
The only “Russian collusion” was the FBI paying $200,000 to Danchenko.
But the dirty cops snuffed that investigation. DOJ, pride of the nation /puke.
Well this is certainly a disturbing verdict. I wonder if BLM and Antifa will take to the streets in DC?
Durham did not suffer a ‘Defeat’ he was SuccessFULL.
Think—Gn., Flynn
It is not just John Durham, Robert Mueller or FBI’s reputations being ruined. In the future, who will ever want another Special Counsel to “investigate” any wrongdoings of the Fed gov?
The process has been years in the making, spent millions of taxpayer money (I know it is but small change nowadays), and in the end, the lengthy report only showed “Move Along, Nothing to See Here” result.
We the people will NEVER EVER trust another phoney baloney appointed Special Counsel ‘investigation’ and/or the result they produce.
Who would want another SC ? Every Democommunist and RINO in DC.
Very sad. Depressing.
Our leaders are corrupt and treasonous.
How long until it all comes crashing down?
And how ugly will it be?
How long did the USSR last ?
I dont think Durham applied the spray paint. I think Durham sanded the body, removing the touch-up paint and filler showing the true condition of the rusted, dented, damaged corps of a once highly valued vehicle.
The WSJ editors agree:

Wonder how Durham sleeps at night?
Depends on if his reward was monetary or his family doesn’t get harmed.
In addition to traitors, Barr, McCabe, Comey, Wray, Mueller, ex and present CIA officials, add Justice Robert’s to the list. He oversees the FISA court.
Rumor has it, he knows who leaked Roe-Wade decision but is fearful to release the name.
At this point, it’s just easier to assume that everybody in govt. is corrupt.
Too bad Vegas did not offer odds on this verdict, I would have had a winner. Sundance called this, what a couple years ago?
Surprise, surprise, surprise.
The good news, more people have looked behind the curtain and realize it’s not a kindly old man but the devil himself.
At some point gravity will take over and these crooks will be crushed by their lies and deceit. It took 110 years to get here it will take time to correct. Keep the faith.
Durham said, “the FBI mishandled the investigation at issue.”
Isn’t that like saying the Titanic bumped a small chunk of ice?
Durham’s conduct of these cases, specifically never focusing on the criminals inside the DOJ/FBI shows that he is a coverup artist and as corrupt as the perpetrators.
EXACTLY. No matter what Andrew McCarthy says.
If Durham were honest, he’d have filed a RICO lawsuit against the Danchenko, Clinton and her people, the FBI who he claims were misled, Obama and a score of others. Now THAT would have been the right thing to do, and then Danchenko wouldn’t have gotten off and neither would all the others. But Durham is a crook.
Best line I’ve read today…
“The one thing proven by the Danchenko trial is that a jury will not convict if the person on trial provided aid to the FBI.”
I called this outcome. Durham was brought in to make people think he was doing something.
How can someone be found guilty of lying when clearly the FBI was in on the whole thing. The original dossier was authored by Cody Shearer and Sidney Blumenthal in 2015 paid for by the Clinton campaign with money most likely from the Ziff brothers. This Steel stuff was created to legitimize a product that nobody, media, was reporting upon as Blumenthal peddled away. That is how he operates. He whispers rumors, media reports upon the rumer, he can point to news reports. Classic Blumenthal, as his operation in well known for 30 years.
Nobody is going to touch Shearer, Blumenthal, or the Ziff brothers. The Ziff brothers have Strobe Talbot, are heavily involved with the HSBC fiasco, Bill Browder and Hermitage Capital, et al of the Russia in the 1990s. These are Clinton people and if everyone needs a reminder, the Global Initiative is back.
The corruption is this bad. It is all about money.
When the corrupt government is hearing what they want to hear this includes law enforcement and any level in the DOJ you are protected to lie cheat steal and even murder .
This nation will either turn hard right with treacherous resolve or continue to be chipped away to wither and die by our own hands
If he really lied to the FBI why did they continue to employe him and pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars?
I wouldn’t have convicted him were I on the jury.
The FBI paid him to lie, and now they want to prosecute him for lying to them???????
Why isn’t Steele prosecuted?
I’m not surprised at all…
Erroneous misrepresentation is the core of our Government…
It’s one big RICO lawsuit waiting to happen. Sadly, Durham was one of their stooges.
TRUTH:

A very sad result for our Justice System, but so much has been exposed—far more than anyone thought possible. foxnews.com/opinion/danchenko-
Igor, having been a sworn operative of the deep state, is authorized to lie about any of the details of the covert op he was involved in.
During the French revolution I really don’t think the people worried about what ever the courts or government said about the guilty being innocent. All of the guilty who thought by the corruption that they were innovent of anything,PAID THE PRICE FOR WHAT THEY DID TO THE PEOPLE! Never forget that.
We are a country of laws yes, but when the people who make the laws only to benefit themselves in a two tiered system and try to make a mockery of the system we hold dear. They will in time pay their price. I would be tempted to say God help them. But in reality, I hope not. What I hope for is his forgiveness for what the people do to them.
The banana in our republic is becoming more rotten by the minute.
Remember to delete the picture of John Durham and moustache that has been posted around the internet for the last 4 years.
Good Riddnace.
