The economic data coming in the past week is in alignment with prior forecasts. Bottom line, energy driven inflation has collapsed consumer spending, inventories climbing, vendors are cancelling orders, and this is peak season for transpacific shipping- which has now recorded the most rapid drop in history.
A single transpacific container shipment cost $19,000 in 2021, then $14,500 in 2022 as the intentional slowdown began. Now it’s only $3,900 as entire fleets of cargo shipments are cancelled due to lack of demand by U.S. purchasers.
Folks, get ready…. because it’s not going to get better. Prior farm costs, an outcome of energy price increases, are now reaching the supply chain. Food costs will continue increasing throughout the holiday season.
(Wall Street Journal) […] Trans-Pacific shipping rates have plummeted roughly 75% from year-ago levels. The transportation industry is grappling with weaker demand as big retailers cancel orders with vendors and step up efforts to cut inventories. FedEx Corp. recently said it would cancel flights and park cargo planes because of a sharp drop in shipping volumes. On Thursday, Nike Inc. said it was sitting on 65% more inventory in North America than a year earlier and would resort to markdowns.
[…] One response to the melting demand has been to reduce sailing trips. In September, container capacity offered by ship operators in the Pacific was down 13%, dropping the equivalent of 21 ships that can each move 8,000 containers in a single voyage, from a year earlier, according to shipping-data providers Xeneta and Sea-Intelligence.
For the two weeks starting Oct. 3, a total of about 40 scheduled sailings to the U.S. West Coast from Asia and 21 sailings to the East Coast from Asia have been scrapped, according to the data companies as well as customer advisories viewed by The Wall Street Journal. Typically at this time of year, an average of two to four sailings a week are blanked, the industry’s term for canceled sailings.
[…] “In the first week of October, one-third of previously announced capacity will be blanked and for the second week, it will be around half,” said Peter Sand, chief analyst at Xeneta. “The downturn pace in recent weeks has been very fast and it looks like carriers misread the low volumes of a nonexistent peak season.”
The period between late summer and early fall typically is the busiest time of year for the largest carriers, as retailers and other importers build inventories ahead of the holiday shopping season. (more)
All of this has to do with the intentional destruction of the oil, coal and gas industry. Western national economic collapse is a feature of the Build Back Better agenda. The economy will continue to be lowered until it small enough to be replaced by “climate friendly” energy resources, windmills and solar farms.
The more consumers demand to keep their standard of living, the harder the central banks will squeeze to inflict the pain. The western leaders and their banking benefactors do not want us owning things that require energy resources. The economic pain will continue (in western nations) until citizens acquiesce to eating bugs and sustainable algae cakes, while taking mass transportation instead of personal vehicles.
“They do not want to own your fortune, they want you to lose it; they do not want to succeed, they want you to fail; they do not want to live, they want you to die; they desire nothing, they hate existence, and they keep running, each trying not to learn that the object of his hatred is himself . . . . They are the essence of evil, they, those anti-living objects who seek, by devouring the world, to fill the selfless zero of their soul. It is not your wealth that they’re after. Theirs is a conspiracy against the mind, which means: against life and man.”
“Galt’s Speech”
Atlas Shrugged
Ayn Rand
Everyone should read Galt’s Speech!
MASFA: Make Atlas Shrugged Fiction Again.
I understand why Alice Rosenbaum (Ayn Rand) was an atheist because of growing up in the Soviet Union – early conditioning is difficult to reevaluate.
However, this passage, along with so much of what she says about the human spirit and soul throughout Atlas, tells me that she understood the nature of good and evil very well.
She recognized it better than many who intentionally don blinders to the truth that is evident around them. She just never took the extra step of recognizing where it all comes from.
She was an objectivist. God and Satan are spiritual.
And humans
The Golden Rule is the most Basic Foundation we require. It needs no other thing.
Atlas Shrugged has become prophetic in so many ways…
“1984” is just as prophetic.
I’m reading “1984” now. It is alarming prescient.
1984 is MORE prophetic.
They just want to stay out of prison. And to keep their I’ll gotten gains

Indeed the true zombies of the apocalypse, they want to devour your mind adding nothing to theirs while their souls are black holes that eventually will devour their own selves only to disappear out of existence itself.
Atlas shrugged should be required reading for every student.
I sad it before and I’ll say it again. These eletes cannot be human. If they were they would have somethoughts of normal people. These people do everything backwards! Why is that? Are they really that stupid or are they not humanoid. They might look like us but they sure don’t act like us!
Of course they could be human , just evil satanists. Saving the world from humanity? Climate change? Purging the population of un needed people. They want us to be totally dependent on them as slaves. There’s going to be a backlash to all of this, I know I’m not the only one who’s fed up. Sundance calls it “cold anger” I’m thinking more on the line of hot rage at this point.
Call me crazy for thinking this way, I’ve been called a lot worse.
You are not crazy. Your reaction is quite rational… at least for a clear-thinking human.
“We are the people you’ve been waiting for” Obama / 2008 aka The Destroyers … proving AGAIN Einsteins definition of insanity.
“We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for” by Alice Walker seems to be what BHO lifted that narcissist phrase from.
But BHO’s declaration perfectly captures the soul and bane of the statist, tyrannical Left: Solipsism. They see only themselves, and cannot evaluate their speech or actions in terms outside of their own loops.
The sales flyer for restaurant depot (sells bulk to restaurants) has cheese on sale this month for around $22. This summer the same item was on sale for $15. So it was 68% of the current sale price a few months ago. Other prices for cheese are trending the same.
Cheese! Brings back a memory of my grandmother getting these big blocks of cheese during the Carter years. She got so much it was ridiculous so all our family got cheesed out during those times.
Can’t remember details but I think the program was meant to shore up farmers due to inflationary high prices which caused a collapse in cheese market, so the government bought it up and distributed it at the local fire station.
What a ‘cheesy’ story!
LOL
We have a very large family to provide for,6 kiddos! We try to eat healthy food, organic if possible. Talk about expensive!!!! Here’s what we are doing to fight back: my husband hunts to provide extra venison, partnering with local small farms to buy meet (my husband helps butcher our friends hogs, giving us a greatly reduced price!
Yes it’s more work but it was a HUGE savings!), raising meat rabbits, egg laying hens, planted a huge garden and harvesting and putting up the food, found that we could buy organic apples by the crate (18 bushels) for about .45 cents/# and made 200 quarts of apple sauce and canned it!…. All this certainly requires us to lay aside some fun and work but when we see an opportunity we seize it!
Also, getting amazingly healthy raw dairy from the Amish for phenomenal prices! One friend drives to pick up for four families every two weeks. We split the cost of gas and we are paying $4.50/gallon for raw milk, $5/# for raw yellow butter…..THE BEST I’ve ever tasted! Make connections and work together with like minded friends and BUY locally.
I wouldn’t necessarily suggest the farmers market, as often their prices are bloated and you’re getting luxury items.
Seek out grassroots farmers/Amish, and play farmers who even have a little land and just need help! We’ve found amazing blessing in doing this!
Agree, but do NOT give names out to any suspected Libs, or the not-so-Funny-Bungling-Idiots will be trying to shut it all down. (lots of canning and dehydrating being done at our home, too). We have two gardens, some orchard, and access locally to eggs, and to free-for-the-labor nuts, so we are blessed. Lots of labor-intensive-but-healthy life… what more does one need.
So true. What people seem to have trouble wrapping their minds around is that the current system is bloated, predicated on an offshore dollar Ponzi scheme, and in the process of long-predicted collapse. Not to support Davos’ wholesale destruction but just to argue that belt tightening is long overdue and, more importantly, the Tower of Babel upon which our food and good delivery system is based is coming down, girder by girder.
As my butcher said recently, we’re all going to have to take care of each other to get through this, and that means doing at the local level whatever can be done. Life will be harder but better, and a lot of the evil that was spawned by the removal of God from the public sphere and by unbridled pursuit of the material, not least of which has been the reprehensible worship of child sacrifice, must be combatted and destroyed. You can already feel it happening.
God bless you and your family Momma.
It appears that Europe is now forced to lead in the revolution, or more accurately the counter-revolution against the diabolical cancer of the Build Back Without Humanity scheme. Makes sense as they are the more deluded by the scam of global warming, so they need to break the hypnosis. I speculate that it will break far more easily than expected because most people never believed in it, but just tolerated it because it was not harming them. Now it will cost to believe in fairy tales, and those fairy tales never deliver on their promises. I foresee the death of the EU, the death of NATO, and the re-emergence of Germany, possibly as national socialists. We, unfortunately, are in for breakup as a nation and very possibly takeover by more functional nations.
We, unfortunately, are in for breakup as a nation and very possibly takeover by more functional nations.
Not going to happen. I’m more of an optimist.
The problem is Americans are too slow to wake up. Once the lies and the pain they cause affects everyone of the country class, then those who are sleeping, with the exception on the lost 10%, will join the rest of us in removing the corrupt ruling class from the levers of power and make the necessary improvements in the US Constitution, including repeal of the 17th Amendment.
Hopefully it can be done peacefully if we stay the course and take back what is ours from the local level up.
TttHP, I have tried to maintain your optimism as I believe MAGA overwhelms the Deep State and libtards demographically. My optimism fades with hopes of a peaceful remedy as the Deep State and Libtards truly believe (perhaps rightly) that they are fighting for their lives. Very few of us MAGAns are viewing our situation as life or death.
You ought to reconsider: it’s truly the opposite- Conservatives rarely resort to violence and death of which our mortal enemies take full knowing advantage, while our enemies believe in murder as a useful tool starting with the unborn. They don’t believe they are fighting for their lives- they believe they are fighting to eliminate ours, if they even bother to consider it at all.
Correct. They have studied human history and know all the right levers to pull to sway majorities. Tho my only true hope is in the new earth as promised in the New Testament, I can see the evil left (working with Republican agents) doing us in by 2024. They are in all elements of society.
It doesn’t matter if there are more of us vs them, they hold the reigns of the infrastructure. They can do it all in in one day. And if things look too bleak for them politically, they will. They’d rather die with us than see a reversal. They have no hope of eternity and believe this is it.
And you my friend have nailed it! They have even in many circles said that they want to actually get rid of us. NOBODY taking me or any of my family anywhere without a fight!
I asked a neighbor of mine. If they come for your guns are you giving them up? His answer was precious. He said yeah but I’m going to give them all of my ammo first. One bullet at a time! then possibly my life.
Well the RATS are now planning on locking up pro-life citizens for 11yrs … that makes their intent to destroy WeThePeople pretty clear.
Local level action is key to restoring the Republic. It won’t be easy but we MUST engage.
Local level issues can be frustrating if there is nothing on the ballot till 2023. Here in Bloomington MN our “artistry” government subsidized leftist fun was found to be a half million in debt and employees not getting paid, even though all the financial reporting said everything is fine.
One of our 7 leftist city council members was on the board and has no clue what he is doing. So now, due to nobody paying for any of their events or programs ( which means the people don’t want this) the city council is bailing them out at the same time they are raising property taxes.
Wouldn’t a rational common sense person just shut them down as a starting point? Why give a failing organization more money? This is a perfect example of the stupidity of the left.
“Why give a failing organization more money? This is a perfect example of the stupidity of the left.” Not only ‘the Left’… have you not been aware of the ‘giveaways’ happening by Congress?
you just described our government in washington.
It’s going to take alot of rope and lead to achieve that goal.
Right
There is no longer, just go vote because your vote means zero because the elections have NOT been corrected. So what else is there????
Negotiating? Negotiate what? Leftist scream, yell, throw temper tantrums. Now what do you do??
Sorry folks, the writing is on the wall. Man up and decide if you want to live free or else.
We’ve been invaded / colonized by Mexico and the third world. Demography is destiny.
It’s not going to be fun that’s for sure. Peacefully is very questionable at this point.
They are not going to let you vote them out of power. I don’t think people are understanding this yet.
The Europeans can either wake up or die…The US will eventually break up because real Americans have little in common with the radicals running states like California and New York, and we won’t be willing to live with them in control…

YES WE CAN!
percentage wise we own it all. Its a few nutbags that join in the destruction. That is what people need to understand.
Its not being conservative its about are you going to stand up for you convictions. Most just put the mask on and say baaaaaaah.
Exactly!
I really doubt it’s about “climate” at all. That’s a concoction to hide the true bottom line, death to the historically-Christian nation. Tho we’re woefully backslidden, our history and remnant itself is threatening to them. If they are 100% unfeeling towards the unborn, MAGA, elderly etc then saving the earth for humanity makes no sense. As Ayn said, they are death agents, starting with us. Logic and sustainability don’t even factor in.
The EU is simply the near west version of the USSR. Brussels calls the shots and punishes the bad boys (Hungary, etc.).
In the US we’re busy erasing our history, destroying most elements of unity (family, religion, community)
All rulers must eliminate the sovereignty of the country (EU) and that of the individual in order to advance their goals.
Poor Hungary, they fought leftist tyranny in the Soviet Bloc and now they’re fighting leftist tyranny from the EU.
I’m Irish and they fought to liberate themselves from the British only to enslave themselves to the EU. Go figure!
Winter is coming.
I don’t enjoy seeing people suffer, but I hope it’s extremely cold in the northern hemisphere. People need to see and feel the foolishness and folly of those who promote Climate Scam and their disastrous policies that are being implemented without debate or input of the people and their representatives.
You’d think just watching Texas and their frozen wind turbines a winter or two ago would have awakened many, or was that a story the press didn’t push?
Excuses were used to deny the basic, systematic problem. The manufactured solution for the manufactured problem by central planners does not work because it seeks to control what God or natural law if you are an atheist established at and throughout the existence of this world which spans infinity.
Their out-of State Board members have been removed/fired … but I don’t know what the new requirements are.
Interesting action. Was ventilation not a problem?
Sometimes my friend people need to slapped around to wake up. A lot of those people who don’t understand and think that oh it’s a conspiracy. Will not do anything until they themselves are threatened. May be late for some, but never too late to wake up and smell the coffee. The it won’t happen to me crowd will be awakened at some point.
They had a freezing winter with deaths when Merkel was still destroying Germany … she had to fire up the coal furnaces as the windmills were frozen solid … so … the people elected an even more radical, ignorant “leader” … they didn’t recognize the insane evil of Hitler in the 1930’s and they won’t recognize the insane evil of their future Hitler either.
And it will be damn cold
It is going to be a very, long winter.
Some suggest:
The problem is that the US-western empire, built on its industry, has turned to decline.
US industry declined in step with the dilution of meritocracy, wrought by identity class quotas and corruption.
The globalists exploited this by offshoring to below-cost industry in other nations. China led in becoming the new dominant industrial power, on this shift.
But now, the US-west decline presents a big problem, as the commoners are taking more than they produce, resulting in massive growing trade imbalances and debt. It is not sustainable. The masters seek ways to achieve a managed contraction. This also requires tightened control over the commoners.
The energy squeeze is part of this program. The climate change pretext is just a canard, there is no climate emergency and the masters know it.
The plandemic and shots are also part of the program, there never was a true public health emergency justifying the oppressions which decimated people and economies. Early treatments were available by mid-2020 which could have ended the whole thing by years-end, but they were suppressed by authorities. Now the US is “walking wounded”, and the authorities have totalitarian controls in place to use at will going forward.
Next: War. This will complete the transition putting commoners on rock-bottom under complete control of the masters invoking wartime powers, while providing a pretext to reset the financial system and sovereign debt.
All under CCP, the new hegemon.
Yes. What other country has “policing stations” in the USA? I have only heard of chy na. How could one country allow that if they are sovereign? The only answer that I can come up with is that the USA is owned by another country/government/regime.
Yes, but China is merely a couple of layers up on the pyramid. Other entities and groups are at the top. And, at the very top point of the geometrical figure, Satan.
At its heart, this is a spiritual war, manifesting as an economic and kinetic war.
The Prince of the Air thought he won, more than 2,000 years ago. Indeed, for three days and then even on to 300 years, it looked to the world like he did. Even as his victory was snatched from him on that bleak death-filled Saturday.
It may look very much like we are sunk in that Saturday in the coming time. Hold fast. Sunday morning is coming. Indeed, it is already here.
Yes – XIDEN (or his regime anyway).
There is only one viable way out at this point: Break the nation apart. States can save themselves by asserting their right to self-determination. The Texas Nationalist Movement is leading that effort in Texas.

Great Post! Thanks. Do NOT forget “Cash Fridays” (and make the attempt to use Cash at all times) Fight the Beast!
Cash is king
On the bright side, our soon-to-be unfinanceable current account deficit will shrink. Wait until they tank the dollar.
I have no regard for Kissinger, who said this…
“To be an enemy of the US is dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.”
As Europe collapses, they will soon know the truth of this, if the reality of it hasn’t hit them already.
Isn’t Kissinger one of the central players in this game of death?
Isn’t Kissinger instrumental in the CREATION of the petro dollar – which was used to create the global police country and now used to destroy the same?
The European Elites still think we are their serfs.
I recently read Kissinger’s quote somewhere and Europe was exactly who came to mind, Betsy. Michel Yon’s blog had pictures of the forests Germany is cutting down for wood, that they don’t even have time to cure. He actually explained his newly created word – Gigacide, meaning a mass murder of a billion ormore people, which is his assessment of the coming famine. He’s been in Europe for 3 months. Covered the farmers sistuation in Netherlands, etc. A billion is difficult to fathom, if anywhere near correct.
” pictures of the forests Germany is cutting down for wood”…. Lots of space, then, for windmills and solar panels.
Where’s the petrol to run them windmills?
Yup … all frozen solid and covered in snow … celebrated by educated idiots.
The Baltic Dry Index is the leading indicator of shipping health.
https://www.balticexchange.com/en/data-services/market-information0/dry-services.html
A bit more complicated.
EU sanctions/Climate Change dynamics have resulted in substantial changes in shipping transport routes and distances. These factors, in turn, influence the type and capacity of shipping required. Investment in new ship construction declined considerably over the last decade – particularly for certain subclasses of ship capacity. Much like oil refining capacity subclasses (e.g., heavy versus light crude), this is an investment problem that cannot be rectified in the near-term.
Summary: not only is there a mismatch between changes in global shipping patterns and carrier capacity by class, but there is a shortage of shipbuilding capacity as well as new ships entering respective fleets.
Sounds like the Refinery problem.
Do you or your retirement account own stock in a multinational?
You’re a globalist.
I’m dog tired and I’m not complaining. I made a “preparedness” decision back in April. I bought my first dairy cow – a Jersey. God bless her, she calved a beautiful heifer – our 2nd milk cow-to-be. Right now, I’m processing 21+ gallons of milk every single week from just one dairy cow. That’s enough butter, cheese, yogurt, sour cream, drinking milk, everything dairy, for at least 2 families. I’ve never milked a cow, heck, never owned a cow until this year. I’ve learned so much. I’m out milking before 6am, and then again at 6pm, hauling in the milk, filtering it, chilling it, then deciding what to make with it. Every.Single.Day come rain or shine, wind or snow. Yes, I’m tired because that’s on top of all that a small farm requires. The chickens are giving 20 eggs a day. I guess you could live on dairy and eggs if you needed to – perfect God-made protein and perfect God-made fat, which work together to nourish the children. And guess what? I’m not getting fat. I’m losing weight. It’s interesting how the highly processed foods in the grocery store aren’t making people healthy. Even people who are intolerant of milk products, can drink/eat fresh, raw, dairy.
I urge my dear Treepers to get out of the cities, get a little plot of land, and grow your own food. You’ll be exhausted and get really dirty, but you’ll sleep like a baby at night.
Lovely post. Encouraging in these times God has placed us. It’s sure to get worse. Curious your part of the country, how much land you have, and number of chickens? Sitting on 1/2 acre one block from the lake in Central Texas. Made the move out of Austin a little over a year ago. Thx again.
Thank you. Less than 10 acres in the hills of Tennessee – out in the boonies. You can do a lot on 1/2 an acre if you have water! I have a couple dozen chickens.
I love to read stories like this! My daughter is 43 and just started doing what you are doing only she is raising goats. She started with a vegetable garden, then got chickens, then bees and finished up with goats. And you’re right–she sleeps very well at night!
I bet you are a real blessing to your neighbors!
Good for her!!
We live in SW PA and own rental properties in PA and FL..I’ve been thinking of selling, looking at SE GA for a place with 5 acres..my husband thinks I’m nuts..
SW PA is beautiful.
PA is beautiful! Southeast GA gets hurricanes. But, we get tornadoes in TN. It’s all relative.
Yes….but.
Like everything in life there are tradeoffs. Moved my family about 40 mis from the nearest large metro area – rural. Great living…until there was a medical emergency. Oops 55 min drive to the nearest hospital in the rural community.
Do your research. Set priorities. Then decide.
I did the same when I retired to rural SE Ohio. Great situation until my health started to fail. Not only do I drive 50 minutes to the hospital, but the standard of care isn’t very good.
Not good here either. It’s a good hour drive to major medical care.
100% agree. I pray a lot.
Great post! One problem. We bought our 20 acres back in the ’80’s… prices now, for acreage, are comparatively astronomical.. but I suppose that is always the way…. AND… WATER is absolutely necessary, and generally, neither easy to locate, nor cheap to develop.
100% agree. I have 2 wells. 1 is a bust, and the other is a good producer but must be filtered.
I’m trapped between sorrow and schadenfreude. Sorrow for all the good hardworking fellow citizens who are suffering as a result of this evil plot to alter civilization as we know it. Schadenfreude knowing that Marxist/Democrat supporters can’t escapee being bitten in the a$$ right along with the rest of us. Pain is a great teacher and it doesn’t discriminate between political leanings. You have to believe even the most obtuse among the left will soon hit their pain threshold. Hopefully sooner than later.
Hopefully!
The elite involved in this ‘change’, are immune from the suffering of the general population. Perhaps you are hopeful for the up-til-now Leftist peons?
This should clear up the backlog at the Port of Los Angeles
Good one! Many have likely forgotten about that screw-up.
An interesting phenomenon I have watched in parallel, with this article, is the movement in the finer detailed reports related to the individual Economic Sectors of the Markets.
With all the Big Whale induced upward and the downward fluctuation in the various forms Stock Markets, the one constant has been the RED NUMBERS (losses) as well as a few relatively very small fractional upswings for any US DOMESTIC economic sub-sector that deals with MAKING STUFF, GROWING STUFF and MOVING (transporting) STUFF.
There ins an interesting parallel here as well, being blasted across the news as “signs of improvement”. Since consumers cannot afford to buy IMPORTED stuff, the media was able to spin an “improvement” in the ever-declining balance of trade statistic. The balance of trade is still going negative, just not as fast because imports ARE NOT NEEDED due to falling demand.
The decline in the Economic Sub-Sectors that I cite do parallel drop in GDP as the decline in growth of US Domestic GDP producing industries DECLINES.
Employment numbers are all BS, either due to lies in reporting or companies just filling the slots they held open for headlines to help JoeBama’s regime. There are NO gains in the actual number of slots for GDP producing industries.
Thanks.
On-demand shipping is responsive to the market.
On-Demand, transoceanic shipping is also very expensive to sustain.
Somebody has to pay the overhead to sustain merchant ship fleets that are sitting idle due to low demand. The alternative is NOT keeping ships in service to meet “surge” conditions of any size or the consumer pays even higher prices to keep those extra unused ships available.
Either way, combine this with a shrunken US Domestic industrial base, soon to be wrecked US dollar and inflation will also hit the “cheaper” imports in big way.
Also, the same can be applied to overland shipping assets as in trucks and trains. Idle equipment costs money.
I’ve alread gone “green”, Jack. Many years ago.
Rabbits; the other white meat. Bonus, they are grass eaters, not grain eaters. A typical new zealand will need about 500 sq ft of “pasture”. A buck and two does can produce 300+ pounds of meat a year. Augmented with red meat and a side of pork a year, you don’t need to “eat the bugs”. Pro tip: Many municipalities also allow a certain number of chickens. Five will keep you flush with eggs. Even an urbanite can do some small scale animal husbandry. I believe this is even more important than a victory garden. Calorie production to time/money investment isn’t efficient compared raw protein production.
Bicycles; Quiet, more fuel efficient than any commuter car. DMV fees are pretty low too. Hit your exercise quota, and just good for the soul to get out and peddle around. Yeah, not for everyone, but most Americans could easily find one useful within a 2 mile radius of home. They also can go places that a vehicle cannot, especially if the roads are in disrepair.
Prepper stash < Community; Know thy neighbor. Help him and in the clutch he will also help you. 1+0 = 1, but 1+1 = 3 in any unified endeavor. Likewise, you’ll learn which ones could be your worst nightmare.
I remember reading old accounts of the Kulak incident and Holodomor committed by Stalin and his minions. Some of the Ukrainians were traitors, but others moled their way into the Stalinist regime and entire villages camouflaged themselves from the ire of the communist state.
Reduce your footprint. Smaller houses are easier to heat/cool. You can also lower your debt overhead. Take up camping and other outdoorsy adventures. You’ll find that with practice you can become more independent and care a whole lot less about what they a-holes are trying to do to us. It’s time to get tough. And the toughness builds a survivor mentality.
I’m not giving up the gas guzzling minivan. It’s AWD and I bought it with the intent that we’ll have it as long as our five kids are busy reaching adulthood. But our family doesn’t have a second vehicle right now. I don’t feel like our quality of life is any worse than the atomic family of the 1950’s. And the Amish seem to be doing just fine with a lot less amenities than my family.
I survived Obama, even though I didn’t get to keep my doctor, I can survive this twisted marxist color revolution too. Even if I have to go full Lykov.
Obviously this isn’t applicable to everyone, but I’m suggesting people start thinking outside the box also.
Regarding the bicycles you talked about…
Five or six years ago, my city, Long Beach, CA put on a huge campaign to try and convince us that bicycles are the way to go. They put many streets on road diets, reducing car lanes and adding bicycle lanes, re-striping with bollards galore. The dumbest part:
At intersections, the bicycle lane magically turns into a right turn lane for vehicles.
Big taxpayer waste of money…but that’s the case for almost everything.
Riddle me this, Batman:
Hard to fathom that we……..( know Biden stole the election…we know they are trying to collapse our economy….we know that the shot is poison…..we know they are creating famine…we know they want us dead.)….Yet we sit and watch it happen….Able bodied people. When is it too much? What will start the fire?
Certainly it wont be my family doing anything about it. We cant “talk politics” at the monthly sibling breakfast get-together.
Cant talk about the white elephant at the table, can we.
Nooooo …. that would overturn the applecart and take away from talking of the grandkiddies’ sport schedules and overseas travels and latest homeowner projects.
These are all nice things, but ironically they NEVER want to discuss the very things that will destroy their grandchildren, their travel, and their personal wealth and private ownership.
Absolutely correct.
They don’t like “no bad vibes” because they live in delusion.
Unfortunately the zombies wake up when it’s in their backyard. Too friggin late then.
This explains why I’m seeing former vacant lots in the Carson / Harbor City area close to the LA and LB ports, now home to crammed-in truck trailers ( the kind to hold a big container), just sitting there for the past six months or more, getting rusty. There are not enough storage spaces so the truckers are having to resort to abandoning them along Pacific Coast Hwy and other streets as well.
Basically, they’re all over the place not going anywhere.
I notice that ‘container lots’ are cropping up in many places that were once ‘used car lots’…. mean anything?
They’re being stored wherever room can be found just like their counterparts, the trailers.
Already told family that the gift giving (buying) portion of Christmas is cancelled. I refuse to support the companies that support this agenda, which has been most of them. I’m not buying anything!
How about going to church and having a nice meal together? No gifts, except the gift of time with family. If that ain’t enough, screw em
So what will become of all the “recently built” GIGANTIC fulfillment centers?? What say you Amazon?
Bad times are ahead for Amazon.
your scenario may be correct “overall”…but in terms of strictly prices skyrocketing for raw commodites soybeans, corn, and wheat, this is not being borne out.
Well that should clear up the port overload and the supply chain problems. Nothing to transport. Biden’s America!
The one problem with Nike’s “discounting”, will be that they will get more advertising on folks shoes.. (but NEVER on MY feet).
Hopefully nike, the woke loser company goes broke
These tyrants are going to get a democracy enema come November…
Based on what?
Can you say dominion. Ever heard of them? Yea, there still everywhere.
The immense railroad classification yard in Barstow CA, where a huge amount of incoming offshore containers are staged into consists going east and routinely moves out hundreds of trains per day is.. empty. This is Joe’s economy. A few hotshot trains with FEDEX, UPS and Amazon loads.
In southwest Wyoming the huge trona processing mines (90% of world production) used for glass, detergents and a hundred other products are slow, rail shipments dropping, empty rail cars backed up on sidings for miles.
Oil tool companies shuttering as fast as they can.
This is build back better?
Legitimate Question! When there are at least 150 Million Americans and very few Thousand of those who are attempting to Destroy US and this Country, why arent the 150 million STOPPING This destruction? I cant for the life of me come up with an answer.
Easy. The long march of the postmodern left through the universities means your typical young graduate who gravitates to in politics and bureaucracy has been shaped by neo-marxist academics.
It leads to a monochrome class where even Republicans (sic) assume the characteristics of the left and think that perfectly natural.
It starts in grade school.
Oh, and electing (Rs) in November will not change much beyond the smoke and mirrors.
The Republican and Democrat parties and the CoC are in broad agreement about the supremacy of the Admin State as being necessary
They’re not going to win this battle. They can’t even convince people to take a flu shot this year. Too many folks crossing their eyes at the bullshit. Pinched budgets will be tolerated, as in the past, but nobody’s going to eat the McSchwabs bugburgers and algae fries, or drink cockroach milkshakes, or get into the cattle cars.
“Nobody F%#$s with a Biden”
What a dirtbag…and he proves it, over and over.
F J B….twin it!
At the beginning of 2021, my favorite Costco gourmet chocolate chip cookies were $6.99 a box. The same box is now $9.99 and the cookies inside are about two-thirds the size they were in January of 2021.
I mentioned this sorry situation to my hairdresser this morning, an ardent Democrat, as are the great majority of the people whom I’m acquainted with.
She blamed Russia, lingering fallout from the pandemic, and last but not least, Donald Trump’s economic policies while he was president. Joe Biden had nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.
And Biden is talking of instituting digital currency so they can track every dime we have, every dime we spend; even if it’s $30 to the guy mowing the lawn. They want their paws on everything. And why not?? Look at the skyrocketing pensions. Here in our little parish in La, a person can spend two terms as Police Juror and receive healthcare for the rest of his life. Pathetic. They’ll all get their pensions before we’ll receive roads to drive on.
A middle aged petroleum geologist had a good comment. He doesn’t debate with greenie weenies. They want to stop the oil business.
But what they want to do requires the :
other half of the barrel of crude.
One half is jet fuel, diesel gasoline. Polymers, coatings, asphalt, solvents, adhesives. The other half.
Recovery from Ian is petrol driven, Chain saws. Trucks loaders,
See all the DUKE Energy boom trucks? All run on diesel.
