Under the Florida constitution the Governor has the authority to suspend state officials for reasons of misfeasance, malfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony. The Governor has further authority to fill that office by appointing a replacement for the duration of the suspension. Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suspended Hillsborough County state prosecutor Andrew Warren for failing to enforce the laws of Florida.
Specifically, Andrew Warren had announced he would not enforce laws created by the Florida legislature that were as against his personal political outlooks. Warren publicly stated he would not enforce laws restricting abortion, anti-riot laws, and any law that sought to protect children from adult predators. “We don’t elect people in one part of the state to have veto power over what the entire state decides on these important issues,” Governor DeSantis said.
Governor Ron DeSantis made the announcement of the suspension and replacement in Tampa, with a group of law enforcement and sheriffs from across the state. WATCH:
This was/is a bold move and Ron DeSantis is well supported in Florida for doing it.
TAMPA, Fla.— Today, Governor Ron DeSantis suspended State Attorney Andrew Warren of the 13th Judicial Circuit due to neglect of duty. The Governor has the authority to suspend a state officer under Article IV, Section 7 of the Constitution of the State of Florida.
The Governor has appointed Susan Lopez to serve as State Attorney for the period of suspension. She has most recently been serving as a Judge on the Hillsborough County Court. To view the order suspending Andrew Warren and appointing Susan Lopez, click here.
“State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida. I have the utmost trust that Judge Susan Lopez will lead the office through this transition and faithfully uphold the rule of law.”
“I have the utmost respect for our state laws and I understand the important role that the State Attorney plays in ensuring the safety of our community and the enforcement of our laws,” said Susan Lopez, State Attorney of the 13th Judicial Circuit. “I want to thank the Governor for placing his trust in me, and I promise that I will faithfully execute the duties of this office.”
The Governor has the authority under the Florida Constitution to suspend state officials for reasons of misfeasance, malfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony. The Governor has further authority to fill that office by appointment for the duration of the suspension.
Susan Lopez was appointed by Governor DeSantis to serve as a judge on the Hillsborough County Court in 2021. She previously served as Assistant State Attorney of the 13th Judicial Circuit for more than 15 years and as Staff Attorney of the Second District Court of Appeal. She received her bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and her law degree from Suffolk University. She is a long-time resident of Tampa and has been involved in the Hillsborough community through a variety of organizations for many years. (read more)
A governor with some common sense who hears the people loud and clear. The rule of law over tyranny.
One governor out of fifty. Pathetic. And utterly disgraceful.
Calling Governor Charlie Parker (Baker) of Massachusetts!?!?
You’ve got several Departments refusing to enforce our laws…harm to the community results.
So sick of these RINO politicians.
Oh, by the way Baker has a new book out:
excerpt from his intro…notice the push for the J6 false flag event…
“We wrote this book for two reasons.
First, this work comes from our fierce belief in a government that works as a bedrock of our democracy. We had experienced how government operates and believed that it could, and should, function better—not just for those who have special access, but for everyone. When a mob of violent rioters attacked the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, the very concept of our democracy and our government was threatened. Demonstrating that government can work became all the more vital.”
That he used the word “democracy” shows what a constitutional idiot he is. Ranks right up there with Jean Pierre. And that’s not saying much.
Everyone says that yes it would be good if he said Republic but unfortunately 98% of the nation has no idea that we are a Republic
Only time you really hear of it is when we in Texas speak to the “ Republic of Texas”
It seems to me that the word ‘Democracy’ is just shorthand, common parlance etc, and no need to belabor the point about we ar technically a Republic yada yada. A Constitutional Republic is a subset of Democracy, and so unless someone says ‘pure Democracy’, then no need to….
That’s not true. We are a representative republic chartered by a Constitution. We employ democratic procedures in some of our processes, but we are not a subset of Democracy. You won’t find the word democracy in either the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence. In many of the early essays in the Federalist Papers, Madison, Hamilton, and Jay go to great lengths to explain just how dangerous and terrible democracies are and why they avoided allowing our new country to become one.
Actually, it is a bigger deal than you realize. The Founders despised democracies…. referring to them as tyranny of the mob…. and they were very careful that the word “democracy” not appear in ANY of our founding documents.
are we still a republic?
No. There are very few in Congress that actually ‘represent ‘ our interests. We’re closer to an oligarchy.
Kakistocracy is more accurate. Combining the 2 would be spot on.
The perfect and accurate word, Mims. We have morphed into that.
O are there some? I haven’t found any of them yet.
Not since the 17th amendment
Finally the correct answer! And if we ever remove the electoral college we will be a true democracy. That is how close we are.
Not in my book. Used to be, but nobody has to abide by any “oath ” they may or may not have to take.Remember, O’damit, I mean Obama never said the “oath” so he didn’t have to follow it. Now they can say it and still don’t have to follow the thing…..that is all it is to them; a thing…..not an oath that means anything.
It would not only be good, my fellow Texan…it would be correct. Language and the precise use of it is a powerful tool. Just ask the demon Democrats and Fascists who have altered it over the past few years to suit their purposes. And look where it has gotten us.
Good point. Tell me all the time we’re a Republic, they go, “huh?”
That’s not an oversight, Bet.
Any politician that denigrates and minimalizes the significance of our Constitutional Republic in this fashion is part of the Conspiracy to erase it.
I would add this to Dutchman’s list of interrogatories meant to quickly discern the political position of another: “What form of government do we have?”
Oh I agree with you completely, Maquis. A simple question, such as you pose, wrongly answered should be an instant disqualifier. I say “should be”…
When civics was eliminated from the school curriculum and history was downgraded, the situation we find ourselves in was guaranteed to happen. Just look what’s on offer now in schools instead, my friend.
After residing in my home state of Masshole for 72 years the wife and I moved to a very conservative beach town 15 miles north of Myrtle beach. Charlie Baker is the scum around the drain after liarwatha and the ice cream man Ed Markey. Taxachusetts had the 3d highest death toll during Covid. How about Bakers decision to put Covid infected patients in the Holyoke soldiers Home killing 75 world war 2 vets. F Charlie Baker. F J B.
That should be talked about every.single.day…
Shame shame shame.
I do remember that
It’s a start?
You’d think. I emailed Abbott a couple of times. Not even a courtesy response. But I said to him to just look at what Governor DeSantis is accomplishing, do that, and he’d walk the November election.
Crickets times a million…in both words and actions. No more than I’d expect from a certified RINO.
Hopefully 2
All fingers crossed.
It’s a start though Betsy…
I am a “one day at a time guy” and it appears that we are in a period of a great awakening.
If not for the MSM and the narcissistic leeches that utilizes them our lives would be much different.
IMO our collective souls “on this side of the fence”
have been invigorated by the presence of President Trump.
We are stronger, fiercer and more resilient then ever.
Cheers!
Well, Dekester, we do have to start somewhere. You are a correct. And your philosophy has become mine.
Patience has never EVER been my strong suit. Oddly enough, the other day I ran across something from James…1:4.
“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
So yes, one day at a time. Things can and do by His Divine Hand change in an instant. His timing…not mine.
Cheers back, my freind.
Cheers Betsy,
I am just in from a long walk along our coastline.
Then “ uptown” numerous individuals I encountered were upbeat, and appear “ awakened “ all knew of the Covid malfeasance and the W.E.F. cabal.
The term Uniparty is now a part of many’s lexicon
We have this…
I have never experienced the energy for good that permeates the air.
😎
And it is so uplifting to get your report. Knowledge is power after all. Good will triumph over evil. We are promised. When the time comes…🙏. Blessings, Dekester.
(I bet that newest grandson is growing like a veritable weed😉)
He ain’t heard millions of Floridians screaming about the Machines. Don’t get too excited just yet.
I live here. We don’t have “machine” problem.
ES&S is Dom!n!on. We had voters born in 1850 on the rolls in ’20.
You’re not current with your current affairs.
I guess.
Passed by the legislature, and signed into law by Gov. DeSantis months ago, we have a paid commission, (someone correct me if my numbers are off. Please), of 200 people from both parties who are investigating the voters roles, eligibility, legality, etc; in EVERY county. They are purging the dead people, (sorry dead people), the people who no longer live here, or have moved to another precinct, etc;
This bipartisan commission is reporting to the legislature and State Attorney General.
If you are found to be breaking the election laws, there are fines and possibly incarceration.
Hope that brings you up to speed.
All of these things should have already been common practice. THE MACHINES ARE STILL IN PLAY.
You are correct!
https://www.votepinellas.com/General-Information/Voter-Education/Voting-System
There is still a machine problem in Pinellas County. These computers have been (mis)used since early 2000. Reminder, Jeb Bush’s lietenant governor hired computer programmer to design program to change votes:
yup no problems in florida we require ID
as long as you have electronic machines in the process they are “programmable”
EXACTLY!! And I live in this state and it still will not be a clean election with machines and I don’t care what any politician says otherwise. Same with mail in ballots! All of that is fraud running freely.
Correct. And, these machines and the auditing procedures are terrible:
https://www.votepinellas.com/General-Information/Voter-Education/Voting-System
Thats the sort of guy you gotta like for sure……you know where you are with him.l…like Trump!
Florida must not be the only state that can act this way.
Let us now watch to see if any other GOP governor is willing to match this action.
At least the State of NY has the same option.
Andrew Guilliani ran for guvnah of NY on this very issue plus others. He was defeated in the primary by Lee Zeldin.
Lee Zeldin is the RINO favorite. Need I say more?
There hasn’t been a fair election in NY that I can ever recall.
Good point, we know that Hochul won’t do anything, we don’t know whether Zeldin will do anything or follow the GOP elites. As there’s no one else who has the possibility of winning and improving the issue I would have to give my vote to zeldin
What good are brass balls if you don’t use them.
That was my problem with Trump, although I would still vote for him at this time.
Maybe you were spelunking in a cave when PDJT went to Korea and crossed no-mans-land on the 38th parallel, the first time in 80yrs a US leader has done so?
Yeah, he must have also missed when Trump told Merkel to her face how stupid it was to sign a sole source natural gas supply contract with Russia……..while being filmed
Ka-Boom.
It’s easier to be a brassy governor than to be a shackled President who is bound by legal tricksters and publicly maligned by the national media.
More of this, please.
Great job Governor DeSantis! Very Trump-like, if I may say so.
Trumpian, Trumpish, Trumply….👍
So this Warren dude doesn’t support & defend the constitution?
Sure! The “Liberal” Constitution!
is he a Soros plant?
That’s the word. I don’t have link though.
👏
Yep.
Again, why isn’t every GOP governor doing these things for their voters? I still want Trump for POTUS though. He is the one building an army of loyal GOP politicians who are beholden to him and he is the one that we know for a fact can get results. If DeSantis wants to move to a different state and be his running mate, then I’m all for it.
Not matter what though, don’t fall for the media pushing DeSantis because they are only doing it to get at Trump because Trump is the one they’r afraid of. If DeSantis were to become POTUS, they would turn on him in a second and he will get the same treatment that Trump got.
I suspect most states protect the Union Employees from being suspended. Certainly, the Civil Service protects federal employees from anything short of a Felony. Remember that even traitorous spies still receive their Civil Service Pensions.
unions are in an adversarial relationship with their employers which in public sector unions is the PUBLIC……it is also their job to provide service to the public….so they are in conflict with providing smooth service to their paid customers….anyone see a problem here?
Civil serpent pensions there fixed it for you
Civil serpent lol, I’m so stealing that
I don’t think prosecutors are unionised; I think they would be analogous to MANAGEMENT in the private sector.
In addition, there is a big difference between State and Fed Gov, and no doubt from State to State.
Certainly any State legislature COULD pass similar legislation, if they don’t have it, already.
State Governments have an INCREDIBLE amount of authority, if they just choose to excercise it.
How is it only ONE State has made HCQ and Ivermectine OTC, and how is it that its not Florida.
The FCC actually has no Constitutional authority to declare some medicines “Drs Rx only” as both ‘legalised’ MJ and this recent making HCQ and Ivermectine demonstrates.
State Health Depts issue licences “Certificates of Use” to hospitals, clinics, ambulance companies, etc.
And they can pass whatever rules they deem appropriate to regulate those facilities.
A BIG part of the plandemic hoax, was medicare reimbursement standards dictating how facilities would report Covid cases and deaths, comingly “”with” and “from”.
Any State health dept COULD require facillities to report to THEM, weekly the #’s with “with” clearly dilineated seperately from “from”.
Promptly publishing this info, could have shut down the covid hoax, at any point.
The areas where States can exert Federalism is so broad, one hardly needs to aim.
But, States CAN choose their battles, for maximum impact, and instead of the fruitless effort of trying to cut off the $ supply (they will just create more, they don’t even need to print it any more!) cut off their POWER, which really hits them below the belt!
Its a double edged sword. Good when the termination/suspension goes your way.
worry about that when it happens later. At the moment there are no prosecutors in blue states that are on your side.
You need to start making your own reality as they never stop lawfaring you.
PDJT and WE learned the hard way, thatvits NOT about earning loyalty by making people beholden to you, thats just OPTICS.
Just look at the RINOS PDJT endorsed, where his endorsement is percieved as making the difference, and who promptly betrayed him.
Its about finding “ideological soul mates” who truly share his AmericaFirst vision, and giving them an endorsement, not to ‘earn their gratitude/loyalty’ because he ALREADY HAD THAT.
You can not buy friends or lovers, you can only rent them by the hour.
Friendship, love, loyalty is earned, and PDJT has already earned it. Endorseing those candidates is the way to go, and I pray PDJT’s change reflected in his Az endorsements, and the success OF those endorsements, reflects a permanent change in his endorsement strategy, going forward.
…” Again, why isn’t every GOP governor doing these things for their voters?:…..
Maybe because their voters aren’t demanding it?
Just a thought.
Because their funders require them not to.
Bravo! Now start sending illegals to DC and Martha’s Vineyard ….
And Delaware.
Per the Order: Suspended, WITHOUT PAY.
This is how you do this.
Lordy I love this man. I would move to FL tomorrow if he could be governor in perpetuity.
He that does not work shall not eat.
Desantis is leading the country. States governors who see this and does not take similar action is by default, in support of this kind of thing.
Could hear the liberal splody heads across the state on east coast.
Thought it was 4th of July.
Of course, “suspension” is only the most-immediate step that the Governor can exercise as a purely administrative matter. It is something that he can immediately do without engaging the courts.
However, I don’t think that this will be the last thing which will happen to this person.
Keelhauling comes to mind.
Nonetheless, I find it strange that DeSantis refers to “votes” being taken in other States, to address similar issues. Is it really that impossible to fire(!) somebody?!
Depends on the constitution/laws in the other states, not to mention the political will to do so if the constitution/laws give you that option.
… which is precisely why I today live a very long way distant from the Pacific Ocean. And, “am happy so to be.”
Yes, I lived briefly in California, many decades ago now, but even at that time I felt that its citizens were their own worst enemies . . . positively naïve in their general approach to politics. That position hasn’t changed.
Once upon a time, winning politicians would put loyalists on the Govt. payroll, regardless of merit.
And, even if they turned out to be good at thecjob, with each election and change of Leadership, there would be a turnover of the buerocracy, often with hostility between outgoing vs incoming.
Not good for making the trains run on time, getting garbage collected, etc.
So, it was decided to have 2 classes or types of Civil servants; one that actually does (or far too often doesn’t) the ‘work’, and another (the private sector equivalentvof management).
The first were ‘protected’ from being fired, so an admin couldn’t load down the Govt. with ideologues, the second, Pokitical appointees could and are cronies and political ideologues who share the administrations policy.
Obama admin circumvented this, in a program of “embedding” political appointees in dept, by changing their job title, making them ‘protected’ civil service employees, rather than political appointees.
PDJT had put an executive order in place, which Biden promptly rescinded, but that PDJT can immediately restore, that givesvhim the authority to fire 70,000 of these janus embed employees.
I can almost hear Orlando shatting their Soros panties right now.
Damn right we support it down here. Tampa and Orlando will FAFO.
Leader.
God Bless Ron DeSantis.
I can’t get enough of Governor DeSantis
Not has he got good sense but he’s got the backbone to do.
This is so much like Trump fearless and so much unlike the hundreds of others governors and lt. governors who are milk toast girly males with jelly where they should have backbone.
How long before Andrew Warren is on CNN crying about how mean the governor is?
The real question is how long before I turn on CNN.
The answer is NEVER.
Same!!!!
DeSantis turned down an interview on the View, maybe Warren could get a booking on the show?
So… can’t we get our immigration laws enforced now? We’ve got an entire administration engaged in exactly this conduct and continuing the human trafficking where Coyote rapists leave off.
The Soros puppets will be sounding off in 3,2,1. Little Georgie must be crying that someone finally stood up to his destroy America efforts
Let them step forward and be counted.
It’s about effing time a governor did this.
No doubt. But we have a scarce new breed of politician — one who does it for love of country not as a life’s career plan. The system rewards those who are on the take and use their office for personal and “big club” benefit. At EVERY level, party leadership does all it can to thwart “good guys” from getting into any office at all.
The result is as we’ve seen where the party offices do everything they can to disqualify people from running under their party banner if they don’t fit the corrupt mold.
If we remain focused only on the top offices at the federal level, then the weeds will live on and sprout again not long after being plucked. The system itself needs to be crushed.
We need more Balls in this repcucklicon field! unfortunately de whiner isn’t in OH 😡
Hah, …
“,..”doormat Ducey, who ifvhevhad even ONE ball, would take on the cartels and border trafficing,…”
Kari Lake
yes, she actually SAID it.
Move over Ron, if she doesn’t have it stolen, you will have some SERIOUS competition!
How about a 2028 DeSantis/Lake ticket?????
Fun fact! Selective enforcement of the law is an exclusively Democrat prerogative…
It appears the ministry of truth at FUTUBE has provided a red screen with no audio in place of the section where Desantis crap cans the jerk.
This is a good thing. This is one of the problems I had with Trump, who I supported 100%. However even though he was under constant attack I felt that he never really exercised his powers to go on the offensive for the people. I was especially disappointed when he delegated his powers to declassify to William Barr, I felt that was an abdication of responsibility. Trump appeared to me to be weak in that regard, when we need someone strong.
Never went on the offense?
Unfortunately, “The Office of the President” has far less power than you might think. The authors of our Constitution feared “a King” above all else, and so in a great many ways they emasculated the Office.
He could have fired a lot more people than he did.
He does run the entire executive.
If you don’t get the ticks off, they just keep feeding.
He couldn’t get rid of Sessions.
Why is that. People keep saying this sort of stuff. Truman effectively fired McGrath in 52.
The opposition does stuff all the time they supposedly don’t have the power to do. Some get rolled back, but that is how you advance your position. You move your position forward, not ask for permission. That is how you lose.
The executive branch has far more power today than intended by our founders.
His biggest mistake was not demanding resignations from former administration appointees be on his desk by 1PM Inauguration Day. Nobama, had no problem doing it, nor any POTUS in the past. His next mistake was not having fully vetted replacements ready to go day 1. His greatest fault is he gets enamored by “celebrity” & so called reputations.
This is not Celebrity Apprentice or a corporation where you can fire at will with only a temporary minor disruption to the business. A POTUS needs solid support from day 1 for his platform and throughout his/her term. There is no time to put a team together after he takes the oath. No squishes. Hope he learned his lesson, if elected again. Some of the electoral candidates across the country he is currently supporting are suspect too.
And he should have recruited from outside DC politics.
Previous presidents not so long ago did his all the time.
Yay!!!!
Stop pro-crime DAs!
Wonder what laws like this Texas might have, or can pass.
The State Supreme Court (actually different name, same purpose as they split court system, civil/criminal) unaccountably ($0r0$ money to judges?) ruled that the AG, Ken Paxton can NOT investigate or prosecute election fraud, UNLESS local prosecutors request assistance, and locals are all $0r0$ backed and refuse to act.
If Texas doesn’t HAVE such a law, they need to pass one.
Can a president do this with DA’s and Prosecutor’s on the federal side?
Yes.
US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President. Bill Clinton removed and replaced every US attorney when he took office in 1993.
they are appointed by POTUS and serve at his pleasure…in theory, he can dismiss them at any time but there may be political costs involved in doing so
you mean like getting impeached?
Hallelujah
DeSantis rocks.
Thank you Governor DeSantis.
This is the way to deal with Soros AGs. Let him spend his money but let the governors do what DeSantis just did. Kudos to him. And where is Abbott?
Not every state has the same rules, and procedures, in their states constitution. Florida is lucky to have this rule, and to have someone who will use it to help the people.
I see folks here slamming Ron about this and that, but I’ll take Ron as gov of WY in a nanosecond over Mark Gordon.
I just hope the suspension is without pay
Without pay I hope!
But God forbid he run for higher office, he’s not MAGA enough. Sigh.
I love my Gov!
The Florida law specifies it only applies to offices not subject to being impeached.
Presumably that means if its a Judge or other position which CAN be impeached, that position is one where the Governor can’t excercise this option.
This is an example of the enormous power Governors have, and especially if they have majority support in the legislsture.
Asserting these authorities is key to Extreme Federalism, but to truly implement it requires a “whole of (State) Government” approach.
You need a MAGA Majority in the State Legislature, a MAGA Governor, a MAGA A.G. and prosecutors, and in order to get and keep these people in office (secure elections) a MAGA SoS, County boards of Supervisors, and appointed positions.
Unfortunately, one or two of the key positions can impede progress.
A MAGA Governor NEEDS a MAGA Majority legislature, to send him the bills he needs, as he can only do so much by executive order.
Look at Az, the MAGA Slate of 12, as an example.
And, to overcome the McStain machine that has controlled Az politics for many years, MAGA first had to infiltrate and take control of the State Republican Party.
Az is providing a ROADMAP, and for any who want to DO something, reading and following this roadmap is how its done.
The Precinct strategy was already being implemented in Az., before Bannon discussed it.
When PDJT began considering who to endorse in Az., he did not have to make the difficult choice between a MAGA underdog, and a RINO with name recognition and leading in the polls, he got a two-fer, with MAGA candidates who, in most cases were already strong candidates.
We have a strong, dedicated and active grass roots movement in Az, and already have a 1 seat MAGA majority in the Legislature.
Thats WHY AZ passed the first in the Nation Statewide School choice bill, and our RINO GOV. “doormat Ducey” had no choice but to sign it, as he had campaigned on it for years, never thinking he would actually be called on to sign it.
Its also why we were the first to have a full, forensic audit, even if the Rinos in leadership mischaracterised the results; which COST them, just ask Rusty Bowers, Az’s own Mitch.
If the slate of MAGA running for the State legislature prevail in the General, the Speaker of the House and Senate President will be MAGA, and then Katie bar the door, ..
Granted, we MAY stll lose some of these battles, but in the “lessons learned” and “show em howvits done” category, Az MAGA coalition are ALREADY WINNERS.
I truly appreciate you keep bringing up the precinct strategy Dutchman it is our roadmap and you are right Arizona just proved it works . Have a great day my friend
R.D
When I see Leadership like this (and what WV just announced against ESG banks)….
It makes me proud, and gives me hope.
This kind of leadership has to start somewhere (here)….
but, it needs to be as contagious and explosive as a wildfire.
I hope this puts pressure on more red state governors, legislators, etc to step up.
Don’t just whine about things….find ways to fix them.
So how do you like that COMMISSION, WARREN?
This should be our next President! I know Trump 2024. But.
In my opinion, DeSantis is showing Trump how you do it, no more anarchy allowed. You just remove the cancer.
Yes Florida is not the Federal government, but there are laws that can be used to stop these lawless States from spreading their anarchy to other areas of our country. I believe, DeSantis would have Federal Prosecutors go and arrest these State Prosecutors for not doing their Constitutional duty, I do believe this, as Trump should have done.
Those riots that would surely come after these action, send in the guard and put them down. It would save the people from taking matters into their own hands, avoid war! It has to be done.
Well, perhaps I had better remind you that McConell threatenedTrump with impeachment when he tried His job. Do you think he would not do the same to De Santa’s?
Who cares?
Arrest McConnell for all the above.
Sick and tired of the BS, they did try to impeach Trump what was it three time. What you don’t think China lapdog was not apart of that? 99% of congress could be arrested for treason.
Like I said, Trump 2024 ‘right”!
DeSantis term as Gov. is not up til 2026.
You d see that it would be the height of stupidity for him to bag out of his role as Governor before his term is up…..RIGHT?
George W. Bush!
He did not resign as Texas Governor. He was Governor up till Dec. 21 2000. Nothing in the Constitution says you can’t.
Bill Clinton! Same thing.
You see, the office would go to lieutenant governor Nunez. It is set-up like that. If DeSantis lost, he would still be governor.
Lead the way Gov DeSantis!
Hopefully other Governors will follow.
I really loved this press briefing.
Sheriff Grady is awesome.
This is how you run a state as a conservative. First thing DeSantis did upon election was to use the same laws to remove the corrupt Election Supervisors in south Florida. Two years later, Trump wins Florida by 5 pts versus squeaking by in 2016. Every Republican Governor in the country should be doing the exact same thing, but they don’t. Why?
We now have an electronic tion integrity commission investigating all 67 counties. Breaking the law is punished by fines and possibly incarceration.
Don’t these elected people have to post a bond? Can that bond be revoked by the voters?
I remember something about the school boards.
And swear an Oath. The bond money comes from Soros and the Oath is meaningless to a Godless Communist.
But the bond can be revoked and thus he would be ineligible for office.
About frikking time.
Watched the whole video. Hope he stays FL governor, as there will be a mass exodus if a dem takes over.
That leads me to wonder who he is (I started to use ‘grooming’, but there’s another bit of the Western lexicon that has been devalues and trashed) preparing and mentoring as his replacement? I have heard tell that his moves on the Florida Guard are being used to build a bench of reliable Patriots, known quantities. God bless you, Governor!
So proud to call this man my Governor. Now if he could give the 2 Senators, Rubio and Scott, a pair of balls that would be great. You would think that other Republican Governors would watch and learn something from him, but they don’t which tells me they are part of the UNIPARTY.
Or their voters are complacent.
They are tarnished beyond repair. Uniparty.
Two Deep State senators that need to be replaced……HCA man Scott made millions and HCA fined for $1.2 Billion Medicare fraud. Rubio gang of 8 ‘nuff said. Sundance has thoroughly covered this corrupt crew…..
That link (Executive Order) was a long read! Still getting through the video, but I haven’t heard specifics yet on how long this suspension lasts, and what follows. Anybody know?
Sent the sheriffs in late this afternoon to physically remove him from his office. Could only take a few personal belongings.
Thanks, Mamadog, but I was wondering what happens after the suspension? Is it temporary? Can he be reinstated at some point?
Am sure there will be some articles somewhere that detail this.
Fl senate can vote to remove this State attorney.
Sundance included a link to the Executive Order:
https://www.flgov.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Executive-Order-22-176.pdf
Thanks, Kat. Like I said, I read that but failed to see where it was spelled out.
Blessings and a hedge of protection for DeSantis. Our battle is large, and the enemy has lost all fear – no fear of us, no fear of the Lord.

Well done, Governor DeSantis, well done.
Good news 🇺🇸🙏👍🏼
Bravo, Governor. Now, what about the other Sorosian operatives masquerading as District Attorneys?? There are a couple in the Orlando Metro, Jacksonville, and a couple more in South Florida. Give them their walking papers.
I wonder if people who are screaming “DeSantis for Prez, 2024!” are starting to get it now?
A State Gov. has more power to get things done>>> quickly>>> than any U.S. Prez.
Keep ’em in power til their Term is up to show others how it’s done.
The way I read it this suspension will continue until Gov. DeSantis orders it to stop, which I don’t think is likely.
I hope the AG was made aware of this when 2 police officers showed up in his office with the paperwork to escort him out of the building.
He made the mistake of running to the press, and anyone with a microphone to defiantly go after DeSantis. Insisting he is still DA and will not be removed. Had a few negative things to say about law enforcement.
