Here is one succinct interview containing the smorgasbord of far-left policies the people behind Joe Biden are proposing as the solution to the inflation crisis they have created. The ultra-leftist Biden Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, appears on ABC with George Stephanopoulos to discuss the solutions to the massive economic collapse that looms all around us. Within the interview Buttigieg states the Biden administration goal is to use the high cost of living (policy driven inflation) as an opportunity for the government to take over household expenses and create equity via government distribution.
If reasonable people do not intervene quickly, the executive branch and legislative branch will move to begin subsidizing and controlling medicine, childcare, housing and food costs by diverting tax dollars into the social equity system. Depending on income, the Biden administration plans to offset higher prices for Americans by providing the essential services and products they need. In essence, Democrat-Socialism with a filter of equity in distribution, ie “enhanced dependency.” WATCH:
Remarkably, Stephanopoulos references one of the most insane New York Times op-ed’s ever written around economics {ARTICLE HERE}. Within the reference, the Democrat legislative proposal is for the government to take over the purchasing of essential products like food, fuel, gasoline and medicine. The government would then distribute those products. The entire premise is based on some academic leftist theory of economics that is just nuts. It looks nothing like capitalism.
The baseline for the approach contains the premise that inflation is driven by too many people chasing scarce goods. Thus prices are rising. This is how the Democrats look at inflation and explain the problem. Their solution is for government to buy the food at the prices they claim people cannot afford, and then sell the food at prices they claim the people can afford. [Replace ‘food’ with any item they determine]
Notice in the interview when Buttigieg is challenged about the high cost of gasoline, he complains that oil companies are not drilling enough to generate the oil and refinery capacity that we need. Essentially, the oil companies are to blame for not creating more supply.
Now, pause, and think about that.
The same Pete Buttigieg voices strong opposition to any further exploitation of oil and natural gas. Buttigieg and the Biden administration vociferously advocate for green energy transition with extreme urgency and apply punitive punishment toward any opposition. Moments later, they are blaming the oil and gas industry for not providing enough supply….
…. Do you know what that advocacy conflict sounds like? That conflicted and twisted mental outlook is the psychology happening in abusive relationships. If you had made me a better sandwich, I wouldn’t have needed to punch you in the mouth. If the oil companies we restrict were doing the things we restrict them not to do, then things would be better.

The problem is that there are too many ignorant voters. Look at what happened in 2018, voters lost the House majority to the Democrats. It happened even in districts that voted heavily for Trump. People didn’t like their GOP candidates so either didn’t vote at all or voted for the opposition. They didn’t understand just how crucial the House majority was. And then these same people were upset when the House impeached Trump. Impeachment never would have happened if Republicans had maintained control, and Trump might have won again in 2020. We’re lucky those ignorant people didn’t lose the Senate majority too or Trump wouldn’t have been able to get Barrett confirmed.
And then, not learning the important lesson from 2018, the ignorant voters doubled down on their ignorance in 2020 and lost the Senate majority too. Even with the current misery and anti-Democrat sentiment, it’s going to be difficult to get the Senate majority back.
We cannot have nice things when people vote ignorantly.
So what’s the fix? Don’t give up, it will just get worse. You have to talk to your friends and family and get them to understand just how crucial those majorities are. If they dislike their GOP candidates the time to get rid of them is during the primaries. In November you have to vote for whoever the GOP candidate is, even if you hate the person. Every blogger, pundit, and politician also needs to explicitly drill this into peoples’ heads.
I forgot to add this: The reason why Democrats win elections and win majorities is because their base votes straight Democrat regardless of who the candidates are. We need to vote for GOP candidates like that. We need to show up for all of the elections, don’t be lazy and drop your vote in a mailbox so that it can be stolen, show up at the polls on election day and choose all of the GOP candidates without even thinking twice.

Going to go to buy as many types of seeds as we can afford Monday. Also going to make sure I have enough soft plastic baits, hooks, fresh spools of line and leader. Got a tackle box that has nothing but lead (yes lead!) weights. Going to get my hands on small boat so I can crab and get clamming gear.
As long as we live on the central Oregon coast and have several streams and a two rivers to fish we will at least not be too starved for protein. May have to invest in a crossbow and bolts as well. Going to have to start hunting again. Hopefully my 64 year old, some what banged up body will hack it.

Shortly before I left Facebook in 2020, I said that people would not go back to work as long as they were making more by staying home, that the government needed to cut back on the checks. You cannot imagine the verbal (and obscene) drubbing I received! The gist of the complaints was, “How dare you!? I’m a working stiff and it’s about time for us to get a little something we deserve. You’re a self-righteous, uneducated bigot for even saying such a thing.”
The sad thing is that I happened to know that one of the “working stiffs” had not been working for the last 5+ years and was trying to get disability for being grossly overweight and diabetic, with concomitant problems as a result.
But remember, they would rather rule in hell than serve in heaven.

It is definitely hard to see everything going on and keep Hope. Something I learned long ago is not to go by what it looks like, sounds like, or feels like. But go only by what God says in his word and what he speaks to our hearts. No one can withstand him. No one will prevail over him. He holds ALL the power. God laughs at them because he knows their day is coming. And these are just a few of the things he tells us to help us keep our eyes on him and our hope IN him.
