It has often been said that if you chase the global climate change ideology to its natural conclusion, we end up in communal groups sitting around a tepid campfire eating some form of sustainable algae cakes and picking parasites off each other… Prior to Joe Biden that prediction might have seemed like hyperbole. Now, not so much.
Indeed, the Green New Deal energy policy of Joe Biden creates massive downstream consequences. Unfortunately, the White House doesn’t seem to care. The high prices and scarcity of critical goods are a feature, not a flaw, as they chase their climate friendly Build Back Better agenda.
Following the continuum of intended consequence, now we have diesel fuel shortages beginning to hit the U.S. economy; and with scarcity comes higher prices of an almost astronomical scale. “The national average price of diesel is now $5.54 per gallon, which is an increase of 22 cents from last week, which was when the most recent record was set. Data shows there’s no state that’s currently seeing diesel prices below $5.12 per gallon.” (LINK)
Making matters even worse is a drop in available inventory of diesel fuel which is about to become a crisis for the east coast of the U.S. Some Truck Stop operators like Love’s and Pilot are already warning their big rig customers they may not have fuel for truckers.
[…] “Love’s is monitoring the fluid situation on the East Coast, we have experienced minimal outages during low traffic hours,” Oklahoma-based Love’s Travel Stops said in an emailed statement. “The company has no plans to restrict purchases of diesel.”
[…] Earlier on Wednesday, the U.S. government’s Energy Information Administration said total inventories of distillates, which is mainly diesel fuel but also heating oil, fell last week to a 17-year low of 104 million barrels, which is 23% below normal.
On the East Coast, the situation is even worse. The EIA said distillate fuel oil inventories in the so-called PADD 1 district that covers the Northeastern states fell by 1.1 million barrels last week to just 21 million barrels, the lowest ever recorded in data going back to 1990.
Love’s truck stops, with some 550 locations across 41 states, also seemed to confirm reports on social media Wednesday that said Love’s and other truck stops such as Pilot were informing their fleet operators that shortages of diesel fuel on the East Coast may happen in the coming week at some stores. Not only is the logistics of transportation contingent upon the use of diesel fuel for tractor trailer deliveries of essential goods, the other big users of diesel fuel are also farmers.
If it wasn’t challenging enough to triple the price farmers are paying for fertilizer this year, now the costs to operate the equipment they depend on has just doubled with the increases in diesel fuel.
“Some farmers are now even reporting farm diesel prices are higher than on-road diesel, which is typically not the case. … Certain areas of the country have seen shortages already and we expect that to continue. Supplies at New York Harbor–a hub for diesel distribution–are at a 30-year low,” says Meyer. “As such, the East Coast of the U.S. has been hit especially hard, resulting in diesel prices above $6.00 per gallon in that area. ENERGY POLICY:
♦ West Coast ports that cannot handle container off-loads due to emission regulations.
♦ Nationwide fertilizer shortages and high prices.
♦ Massive increases in gasoline and diesel fuel costs.
♦ Limited shoreline refinery capacity due to federal regulations.
♦ Stunning increases in food costs at the grocery store.
… And what does the administration do against this backdrop?
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration says it is canceling three oil and gas lease sales scheduled in the Gulf of Mexico and off the coast of Alaska, removing millions of acres from possible drilling as U.S. gas prices reach record highs.
The Interior Department announced the decision Wednesday night, citing a lack of industry interest in drilling off the Alaska coast and “conflicting court rulings” that have complicated drilling efforts in the Gulf of Mexico, where the bulk of U.S. offshore drilling takes place.
The decision likely means the Biden administration will not hold a lease sale for offshore drilling this year and comes as Interior appears set to let a mandatory five-year plan for offshore drilling expire next month.
[…] A federal appeals court in New Orleans, meanwhile, is considering a challenge to a moratorium on new federal leasing that Biden imposed soon after taking office in January 2021. Biden said the administration needed to consider the effect of new drilling on climate change and conduct proper environmental reviews.
Louisiana and 12 other states challenged Biden’s order, saying laws passed in response to the 1970s oil crisis require lease sales on federal lands and waters.
The Biden administration failed to “grapple with prior analyses” of the planned sales to give a valid reason for postponing or canceling them, Louisiana Deputy Solicitor General Joseph Scott St. John told a 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel this week. The three-judge panel did not indicate when they will rule. (read more)

One thing about Ukrainians, when they are under attack by a superpower, they get money and Javelins.
Seriously, maybe we Americans could ask for help here…
We have and gotten derision, platitudes, lies, virtue signaling and broken promises in return. From both parties.
That about sums it up.
Nope. You’re likely to put someone’s eye out with one of those Javelins.
Who runs Ukraine?
Those who shall not be named on this forum.
Joe Biden a Niagara Falls of Crisis.

Also, as with my son’s small irrigation company, small businesses use diesel trucks every day. His company has already had to do some creative maneuvering with clients to cut travel time because of prices
Only God knows what will happen now.
Please pray and spread the word these people are as bad as real murderers.
Those who knowingly inflict pain on others for the sheer joy of it, are psychopaths. And the so called “climate change” is nothing more than their hill to die on.
They are gleeful right now, but just wait…there won’t be enough green algae for them to .quiet their hunger pains.
The daily news plays out like an escalating horror show.
Sadist is another word to describe the defectives at the helm.
Serial killers– they just won’t stop!
You are so right!
Ty, Ma’am.
And none of them will DEFINE climate “change.” Because it cannot be defined. It covers anything and everything.
Think about it.
When all weather becomes climate change then nothing can be climate change.
That’s true! If everything is something, then everything is nothing.
Assertions such as those from the climate crowd made without evidence should be dismissed without evidence. But that would require an intelligence our elites simply lack. All they know is their repackaged and unevidenced claims.
Sundance’s often-used picture of the 18th century British (or maybe French) Royal court is so spot on.
Indeed it does include anything and everything. Climate change will become a global public health emergency that the WHO/WEF/UN will swoop in to save us from if the treaty they wish to install per their meeting May 22-28, 2022 is enacted. The US is already all in. There is a reason that covid and climate change are global issues. None of this is occurring in a vacuum. None of it is coincidental. It’s all intentional. We are being attacked on more fronts than most of us realize.
Kind of like the most famous Bubba statement I currently recall: It depend on what the meaning of ‘is’ is….or something to that effect.
Whatever they want it to mean.
It’s called climate “because it changes” and is never constant anywhere over any measurable period, otherwise it would be called stasis. These people are absolute dopes..
Oh, the elites will never have to resort to green algae. Bill Gates has all that land covered for “the right people’s” benefit at an extensive profit. The green algae is for the serfs.
I have to wonder ( and I’m not alone ) if the shortages are not as bad as we’re told , but supplies of all kinds are being diverted for ” Big Club ” use.
I heard Dana Loesch just say CBP has been sending photos to Rep. Kat Cammack of pallets upon pallets of baby formula being shipped into the Ursula Detention Center in McCallen, TX…
Yes, they must have been ordered some time back. Like when repeal of Title 42 was announced.
So Gov & the formula manufacturers should have seen this coming.
Reminds me of Haiti after the earthquake. Warehouses of relief supplies protected by armed thugs and never making it to the populace.
Saturday is headlice day. You pick each other’s headlice on Saturday so when you wear your Sunday whites at church, you don’t have little black bugs dropping and running all over your shoulders.
….slowly I began to hate them.
Sounds like you’re channeling Rudyard Kipling.
You, and millions more………
They won’t be the ones eating algae.
While people wait in line to get their algae cakes and, maybe, some cheese, they will pull into the fully stocked, politburo members only, grocery store across the street.
Nope. The difference is the 2A. Never, EVER, give up your guns.
If our elites tried this, I could guarantee every parent trying to feed their children would become snipers. A target rich environment.
“Build Back Better “Dig Hole Deeper.
Bamboo
Baby
Buttwipes
Intentional.
That is what is so disgusting.
I see they are working hard on the “You will own nothing” part. When does the “You will be happy” kick in?
…not yet!
“The Interior Department announced the decision Wednesday night, citing a lack of industry interest in drilling off the Alaska coast and “conflicting court rulings” that have complicated drilling efforts in the Gulf of Mexico, where the bulk of U.S. offshore drilling takes place.”
What drives this “lack of interest”? Fewer pipelines? Increased regulations? Drilling and transportation costs making it not profitable?
My guess is uncertainty is driving increased risk aversion. Curious if there is anyone in the oil industry to dig into that statement a little further…
I think they raised the royalty from 12% to 18% recently. If they drop the royalty back down, then likely there would be more interest.
Lack of industry interest?
Sounds like they are meeting their “target profits” and don’t have to earn their money the old fashioned way.
Lord save us from their ‘wordsmiths’.
The global climate change ideology is NOT the REAL GOAL! That is the excuse being used. The GOAL: Cripple and Crush the US economy–the Goal of Obama and his Evil Elite coconspirators. Then the Super-Rich Elite will rule the planet. The Save-the-Planet excuse is total crap! Once you see these “strings”, you can not unsee them.
So so true!
The U.S. is really the only obstacle left in their path to world domination and depopulation on a mass scale.
These freaks have already said this out loud in speeches, journal articles, and in jetset conferences held in the most exclusive places in the world. If God can work through people, you can betcha Satan works through people too and that is exactly what this is about– Satan’s great Hate for God and His people.
If man did not exist Satan would have no purpose. Good and Evil are manifest through the actions of man. It is men hating mankind that allows Satan to make manifest his intent to do evil.
Ahem …. The goal is reducing the global population. Crushing the US economy is one of the means to that end.
FJB
This sham Govt. is all in on destroying the middle class, cementing the New World Order. You will have nothing and be thankful for it. So much for life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Even harder times are coming.
Build Back Better is the return of the Rentier Class.
The most frustrating part in all of this, when I talk to people as recently as just a few days ago, they cannot fathom the bad times coming our way. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I am readily making mental lists of those to keep an eye on, those I can possibly trust and a few I know I can trust.
Remain alert. Gather information.
Prepare. Be prepared to share, quietly.
And then really prepare. Because if you cannot take care of yourself, you won’t be able to help others.
You’re experience tracks with mine.
Things are about to go sideways in a big way
Thankfully, I listened when I received the message here to prepare accordingly. I also prepared enough for a few others I can trust. A few beans here, some rice there… squirreled away quietly. I prepared weekly and prayed daily. Looks like the train has almost come to where the bridge is out. We’re going into the abyss very shortly
Ya it’s mind numbing how dense they are.My friend just spent $7K fixing up her backyard with new grass and plants and central work. Here in California. Hell soon they will tell her she can’t water that lawn. I mean really was that a good investment at present ? ! She also wants her and I to drive from NorCal to the Grand Canyon and Sedona for a vacation next spring. And wants to drive an exra 120 miles to Winslow just to ” stand on the corner” and take her picture there…She wants to rent a car and drive. Are you kidding me, with gas at the highest its ever been…and no she’s not rich, just not very wise. But she thinks she’s the smartest one in the room..

> Unfortunately, the White House doesn’t seem to care.
They DO care … about the destruction of the USA.
When you view everything from that perspective, it all makes sense.
They do not give a rat’s a$$ about Climate Change: That is only a pretext for the destruction we are witnessing.
It is a smoke screen. Do not get lost in it.
There is only one viable option at this point: Break the nation apart.
States where sanity still prevails need to gain their independence.
The Texas Nationalist Movement is leading the effort towards that objective in Texas.
texitnow org
tnm me
If Texas were a sovereign Republic, these “regulations” would be irrelevant and meaningless.
We tried that in 1860.
[By the way: only 2% of Southerners owned slaves in 1860.]
That war for states rights and Southern Independence was our best shot. This is going to be so much tougher than you all realize.
Texas made the mistake of joining the Confederacy.
A big part of the reason why the Confederacy lost is because a lot of people in the South did not believe that slavery was something that they should kill and die for. As you stated: Only 2% of Southerners owned slaves.
The circumstances now are completely different: The globalists are trying to enslave ALL of us.
We have three choices at this point:
1: Do nothing, and accept life (or survival) in the dystopian tyranny that the USA is doomed for.
2: Civil War II which would be very bloody and risky. (What would happen if we were to lose?)
3: States can gain independence, then have a chance to reverse the damage before it gets worse.
The USA is already being destroyed, and the destruction will get worse over the months to come.
At this point, we have nothing to lose.
It was for states rights…so the southern elites could keep their slaves.
And I say BS to that. This is ALL our country. We need to fight to save it all.
At this point, it’s unrealistic to believe that it can all be saved.
There are large segments of the nation (“blue States”) that will keep the faith in the regime no matter what.
Our only realistic chance is to break away from those places that still support the means of their own destruction, then watch them destroy themselves.
You are sorely misinformed.
If you believe that a people cannot decide to break from an oppressive governmental union when it no longer serves their purposes and you believe that they are not free to constitute a government that more closely conforms to their ideals, you would have destroyed the very Founders and pissed on the Constitution.
Actually, go read the Declaration again.
If the South couldn’t leave an abusive relationship, then neither could the original 13 colonies have broken with Britain. People either have the right to form governments by the consent of the governed or they don’t.
Exactly right. 1)Marxists are relentless. They will come for the states that separate. 2) Big swaths of the population in blue states reject marxists posing as “progressives”. 3) Cities can’t feed their woke population if the trucks don’t show up.
> 1)Marxists are relentless. They will come for the states that separate.
Let them. Texas, along with the other States that separate, will kill them.
If that happens, then we will have Civil War II. The idea is to separate peacefully, then convince them that it is not worth the effort to try to conquer us. At least we give peace a chance.
> 2) Big swaths of the population in blue states reject marxists posing as “progressives”.
Good. So maybe those who do reject the Marxists should either relocate to the new Republics, or do what they must to make sure that the electoral systems have integrity and vote the Marxists out. I am not optimistic about the possibility.
> 3) Cities can’t feed their woke population if the trucks don’t show up.
So then they starve to death – problem solved.
The issue is by county not state.
If an entire State can gain independence, then that would be much easier and quicker than going county-by-county.
My wife just read me a comment that she saw this morning…..
“Normal” isn’t coming back – Jesus is!
Amen. And that fact is what keeps me going.
Hangin is too good for them…
Considering this course of action is a political death sentence to any politician and that no Democrat is going against the Biden administration in an election year says (to me, at least) that Democrats are not worried about being voted out in November.
I would not bet on the mid-terms taking place as scheduled.
Vote count gets shut down in several states alllllll at the same time…….
Republican vote watchers get sent home……
“Magic ballots” will appear, all for democrats……
Just like last time.
No, I don’t think the are really worried, either.
I see it as a “damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!” course of action. An all out attempt to inflict as much of their agenda as possible knowing full well the people will be in full scale revolt sooner than later. Next on the list would be to try and wrestle back as much control as possible in the inevitable aftermath of strife and confusion.
I keep being shocked and infuriated because I haven’t given up hope yet. I keep saying for every new story how evil the whole Biden administration is. They are psychopaths because I don’t believe they are that ignorant.
Publix prices were up overnight. Mr Mom Buttijudge thinks this is something to smirk about. On the brightside, the practice of feeding the squirrels their own seed allotment so they would be less inclined to sack my bird feeders is beginning to pay off. The population of meat rats has ballooned!
Buttface has all he needs while taking everything we have.
This is the communist way. ‘To all scumbucket Party members according to their needs, screw the masses.’
Stocked up on baby formula early, did he?
I about throw up when I saw the price for a single bag of pool shock ($6.25ish at Walmart v about $2.50 last year) and Algaecide $20 this year $13 last.
I don’t have a pool, but I do have a water filtration system for the two wells. The system requires bleach (long story). I finally went to Costco and bought a couple of cases of bleach. I’ve decided to go back and buy a few more. The prices are insane. I saw a single can of spray Lysol in the local grocer. It was priced at $10!!!!
It takes one evil grifter to starve his own people.
Ukraine, 1933.
Mad Max world. The fuel trucks will have to be up-armored.
We ‘Ferals” will be ok.
Not only is all of this purposeful but almost as if it’s purposeful with a well thought out intention of provoking an angry enough response from the American people on such a large scale it gives them the green light trigger to order martial law type lock downs etc in time for the 2022 mid terms.
The irony, Tesla would love to pump out Tesla Semi’s but the “supply chain”.
These people are simple idiots, all this (let’s shut everything down to force change to “green”) sounds good in theory, but compounds issue upon issue. Right now you need diesel to deliver any needed to make “green” stuff. You need chips to make battery-management systems for batteries.
When do the adults take over again?
The windmills use oil too.
So does the mining equipment used to rape the earth in search of the rare earth metals needed in the production of those windmills.
Nearing the point of torches and pitch forks soon
Passed it, a long time ago. Only way out. These creatures must be stopped, and utterly destroyed.
How to organize, who will lead?
“All alone, or in two’s,
The ones who really love you
Walk up and down outside the wall.
Some hand in hand
And some gathered together in bands.
The bleeding hearts and artists
Make their stand.
And when they’ve given you their all
Some stagger and fall, after all it’s not easy
Banging your heart against some mad bugger’s wall.” – P. Floyd
Start attending your local GOP meetings to find like-minded folks. You’ll be surprised that there a whole bunch of MAGA folks in the real world!
And your neighbors in law enforcement will be the ones putting handcuffs on you.
First civil war pitted brother against brother. Can’t expect the next one to be much different.
My father still won’t allow me in his presence until I’m vaccinated, so yeah…
The ‘evil empire’ is literally just that. And aggressively and sadistically so. And the majority of people doze through the transformation. Brainwashed by the MSM and social media.
When does this end? How does it end?
This simply cannot continue; it is unsustainable—it is madness.
The purging and re-education/ indoctrination of the armed forces tells me that the outcome tptb plan for us will be bloody.
History is nearly ready to rhyme.
It ends when we finally stand up against this AS A NATION! WE ARE MANY, THEY ARE FEW.
Few? This isn’t a wresting match.
Not really sure of your point…there are way less of these scumbags than us…….fact
You disagree?
Small pieces of metal delivered at 2200 fps.
Prepare accordingly
We know they are creating one crisis after another, they know the political consequences with the elections in Nov and yet they push on, it should tell everyone they are not planning on facing those consequences. They are going to keep us in a state of panic, putting out one fire after another so that when they start screaming Russian disinformation with a few false flag “Russian” cyber attacks on the grid and election system they can tell us all that the elections have been postponed until it is safe to have them, and not have one Republican leader in Washington push back. Any states, Florida, that push back will have their Governor painted as in cahoots with Putin, if you as a citizen push back expect a visit from the ministry of truth.
We are at the end game folks, not normal rules, not politics.
At what point do we remove these people, and how do we do it? We can’t wait around for 2024.
We can’t even wait for 2022, and here it is upon us. We the People are responsible, i.e., “able to respond”. Our right, and our duty.
Who shall lead?
Search the internet for a free download of “Unintended Consequences”. As gross and sickening as the short novel is, there’s a lot of truth in it. I will only shoot in self-defense, so I do not know how we get out of this. While we all discuss how we are being attacked socially, monetarily, intellectually, etc., they aren’t lining us up to shoot us, other than the clot shot, yet. I think the only answer is, as Sundance has said many times, “extreme federalism”. In which case, I want to be in a red state.

UC is great and well worth reading but one thing it is not is short. Hard cover weighs about 5 lbs, lol.
BTW the author, John Ross, aka Henry Bowman, passed away recently, may he RIP. He was a true gun guy and a champion of the people.
Indeed!
Great book!
Oh man, its getting really bad! China wheat harvest is destroyed, the fed have hacked crypto to crash it. I think we are headed to global war!
I’m gonna get one of thoese spinner caps with a propeller on it and wire it up to a magneto and carry around some rechargable batteries…Wonder if I can get a govt. grant for that?
Call it a transgender transpondimagrifier and you might.
Maybe the folks living on the east and left coast will reevaluate their election choices when they’re sitting at home in 30 degree temps because they can’t afford fuel oil.
Naaaaah, they’re too stooopid to realize (admit) the insanity of their ways.
Don’t think for a second that elections on the east coast havent been corrupt for years. Plenty of patriots on the east coast. And we vote and more are getting involved. Overcomimg the cheating/ballot harvesting is the only way we’ll see actual change through peaceful means.
They’ll just blame Putin, Trump and racism.
Marxism: Demoralize. Frighten. Isolate. Make desperate. Make hungry. Bring panic. Gain complete control. This is how it goes if left unchecked. And from what our eyes see, ears hear, and feelings feel this is America’s fate. But here is THE reality – God.
When the Biden fuel price spike first started, I noticed Diesel was spiking faster than gas. I’m sure this is due to the fact I drive a diesel automobile.
It’s due to the fact that US shale oil is very light. There is more heavy content in foreign oil that we import, thus more diesel by percentage after cracking. The ratio of US vs foreign oil has changed due to embargoes and so forth.
My other half works for a large corporation and they just had an online meeting with 600 other directors and all they talked about for 2 hours was how to deal with inflation running rampant. It was very interesting to be a fly on the wall of that conversation.
What were their solutions?
Besides more gubmint spending ? Layoffs.
The one great revolution in world history was the American Revolution.
Most revolutions since have been counter-revolutions, intended to reverse the tragedy of America.
Liberal democracy and American Republican Constitutionalism. To all leftists these concepts are obscenities.
Leftists are feudalists. The world should be constructed as a few very rich and privileged people ruling over a sea of peasants. The open southern border is standard leftism. It advances their cause of neo-feudalism.
The middle class is America. The middle class are Republicans. And leftists have concluded that the destruction of the middle class is the quickest path to the return to feudalism they crave.
If it satisfies you to call Democrats stupid, and stop there, you understand nothing.
100% this. We are the last bastion in the way of those that control most of the world through their corporations, financial instruments and secret societies.
For many centuries feudalism was the way.
Check out science fiction, and they can only envision a return to feudalism. Princess Leia?

With feudalism, the peasants didn’t have guns. We do. That’s a big difference. Former middle class parents aren’t going to watch their families starve while the elite get fat.
Retired Magistrate here: Diesel isn’t the only petroleum product that is skyrocketing. Home heating oil, the last time I checked here in Central Ohio was around $5.00 a gallon. I am sure it is more than that now. We heat with fuel oil so to make sure we don’t freeze to death this Winter, we are going to install glass doors in one of our fireplaces that we normally don’t use and get a new damper to make it a well functioning fireplace.
Our wood burning stove is on its last legs, but we had it checked for safety and it should get us through this Winter. We will do what we can to make our other wood burning fireplace more efficient. We have plenty of downed wood. We are old, have health issues and our backs are not in great shape, but we will do what we have to do to stay warm.
I lived through the Carter years and all the shortages we had then; however, being 40 years older and on a fixed income makes it much more difficult.
But I still have hope in all the people that are fighting back in whatever way we can. It really is going to depend on what State, County, Township, District, etc. you live in. Of course, my real hope is in JESUS CHRIST and HIS soon return.
Home heating oil and #2 diesel fuel are the same thing except the diesel fuel has a blue dye added.
Isn’t Jet fuel a cousin to diesel, CJ?
Diesel and home heating are #2 oil, kerosene is the lighter #1 oil. Jet fuel is basically kerosene held to much higher standards of purity due to it’s use. #1 doesn’t have as much BTU energy per gallon as #2, but it doesn’t gel until much lower temperatures, a quality needed at the sub-zero temperatures found at the high altitude flight levels.
In 2013 and 2014, I was having to pay $500-$600 a month for heating oil during the 2 coldest months of the winter. It was really hard to afford, but when you have to have heat, there is no other choice. When I got a retirement bonus, I used it and some savings to get a heat pump.
Hot water bottles help! If hands and feet are warm, life is better!
Retired Magistrate here: Yes, I wear wool socks to bed, a hat on my head and have flannel sheets. With arthritis, being cold is not good. I have to laugh at the ads for sheer nighties for Winter; I know those ads must be targeted for those who live in the South.
wear a robe to bed with hat and socks and 3 layers of blankets and toasty warm
Get a fireplace insert or 2. They have fans that will push the heated air into the room, plus they burn wood most efficiently so you need less wood for more heat. Well worth the cost.
There are NO unintended consequences. As you say, these are features, not flaws.
So, even if Abbott put its Michigan baby formula plant back on line today, there would soon be no way to get it to us because there will be no fuel for the trucks that would haul it.

This much (Virginia HB 249):
How late in the third trimester could a physician perform an abortion if he indicated it would impair the mental health of the woman?” GOP Delegate and committee chairman Todd Gilbert asked Tran.
“Through the third trimester,” Tran responded. “The third trimester goes all the way up to 40 weeks. … I don’t think we have a limit in the bill.”
“Where it’s obvious that a woman is about to give birth – she has physical signs that she’s about to give birth. Would that still be a point at which she could request an abortion? … She’s dilating.”
“Mr. Chairman,” Tran responded, “that would be a decision that the doctor – the physician – and the women would make at that point.
“I understand that,” Gilbert said. “I’m asking if your bill allows that.”
“My bill would allow that. Yes,” Tran answered.
Abbott said it would take 8 weeks from startup to re-stocking shelves.

No.
I just bought gas. Diesel here is a shocking 6.99/gallon in Montgomery County PA, just over the city line.
Wow……. that’s a lot… It was a bit over $5/gal in Dane County WI (it’s been running about $1/gal more than regular unleaded), but that was as of a couple days ago.
So….when does a Republican, any Republican, say the word “impeachment?”
I’d settle for lawmaking that overrode the overreach!
“impeachment?”

That needs to change.
Leases were canceled due to no interest by oil companies. Well duh 🙄.
Fundamental capital investment say don’t invest in something you have no control over. Biden shutting down Keystone told all investors that federal government is not to be trusted.
And the banks won’t fund them.
……and the Biden administration deliberately went after the banks to try to get them not to fund the oil companies.
Then, Biden tells the country to our faces he’s trying to lower energy costs.
Well, wait a minute, Biden’s teleprompter tells him to say that so he does.
Biden Admin recently jacked up the royalties by half, from around 12% to 18%.
Just bought diesel for my tractor yesterday.
It was $6.29 per gallon, but at some stations in my area (central NY) it’s as high as $6.49 per gallon.
This morning, I was talking to a friend about the number of fallow fields in our area this year.
An unusually high number of fields that are generally in production are sitting fallow this year.
With all the furries, lactating men, LGBTQIA+ and men in skirts in the White House, I pray every day that God spares the rest of us from His wrath.
Talked to a fellow small farmer and dairy friend yesterday for a long time. We both had been hoeing in our gardens early in the morning, in the heat and humidity, trying to get the remaining crops in and started before it really gets hot in the South. My potato plants are huge, a lot of things failed to grow that I planted earlier, but the corn, bush beans, squash, and okra are coming up. I realized I need a couple more hoes and quickly got online to order them. One is out of stock for the foreseeable future, which is a good sign – it means people are gardening like crazy, as it should be. I did some mad ordering of various supplies because I can see that even home deliveries are going to become a thing of the past very soon. One of my Pecan trees is loaded and that made me very happy. The meat bird chics are growing fast. All the other animals are fat, dumb, and happy for now. My dairy cow is giving 2 gallons of milk a day + nursing her calf full time. I also noticed that some home sale prices in Tennessee are falling for the not so perfect homes on acreage… so if anyone is still interested in moving to the country, keep your eyes open for fixer uppers. You can do a lot on 5 acres, with a well and septic system. Just sayin’.
Godspeed truckers, moms with babies, social security retirees, dads who might lose their jobs. These are troubled times and Jesus is the only answer. Amen?
One thing about this farmstead lifestyle, I’m so exhausted from working outside that I scarcely have time to pop in, read, and comment, much less get excited about a nuclear holocaust. I could say, “I’m too old for this”, or I could thank the good Lord I can still hoe a row, no matter how painful.
When I read that there’s a diesel shortage and a home heating oil shortage I got pissed, so I picked up the weed whacker and went to town on a fence line. I noticed recently at Costco that they had a good quantity of 15 gallon gas cans. I thought, wow, who could afford to fill one of those for the tractor or lawn mower or generator. I should’ve bought one anyway.
Sounds like you are doing well, all things considered. I am doing something I have never done and that is planting tomato seedlings in broccoli rows and peppers in the kale rows. Intensive gardening. From what I have read, the tomatoes will help shade the broccoli later in the summer and the broccoli side shoots will keep producing. Same goes for the kale. Get your fall seeds ordered now too.
seeds were out of way in dollar tree at 4 for 1.25
Maybe all those lactating men will help ease the baby formula shortage.
I scored a cool job last month. I was told I would be paid mileage and travel time any time I travelled to a different store. The bait and switch came last night. No paid travel time and they required me to remove 25 miles from my daily mileage reports.
I quit today.
What riles me up is I turned down a job that paid $23 an hour but I would have had to commute 90 minutes and 70 miles per day unpaid each day to take this one.
I’ll find local work but until I do, it’s back to gig work.
Good luck on the job front but that commute gets real old REAL fast no matter how much you are making.
Make Lamp Post Ornaments Great Again!
The openly anti-american bunch running this country today, together with their partners in the administrative deep-state, know they have 32 months to finish this country off. They have gotten to the point of openly taunting the american population with their tactics because they have no opposition within government. The GOP isn’t even a speed-bump any longer which is all it really has been for the past 50 years.
Biden is the perfect vehicle for all this. Demented beyond belief with 45 of the 50 republican senators thinking he’s a “good guy”. Joe Biden has never been a good guy, not ever. He’s now way too demented to even hold accountable for his crimes.
We’re screwed folks, and DJT will never be allowed to be President so forget about that hope.
School busses run on diesel. Our schools get a portion of sales tax for funding. Already projecting million dollar deficit and making program cuts. What’s next? No busses?
Aren’t they all being converted to run on solar power now? No sun, no problem, go to virtual learning.
I can see school systems converting to virtual for 2-3 days a week to save on the diesel fuel and the cost of cooling/heating the buildings. Screw the parents and whether the kids learn anything. Details, details!
#2 Diesel fuel is also regular home heating oil used primarily in the Northesast especially New York. The only difference is the Diesel fuel is dyed blue to account for the federal road tax. Most homes have 300 to 500 gallon oil tanks in the basement which is now going to cost $1,500 to $2,500 a fill-up which during a cold winter might last three weeks!
I used to live in a house with an oil furnace that was also the hot water heater. It had an on/off switch to use of you were going on vacation. Hah! I used it every day that I didn’t need heat and turned it on only when I needed hot water for a shower or to wash dishes. I used it for heat in really, really cold days so the puppies would not freeze. Space heaters and the gas fireplace took care of other heating needs. Even with all that and in Maryland, I spent $2K per year when the price averaged $2.75-$3/gallon. I don’t know what I would do if I still owned that place.
BTW, the space heaters were made by Vornado and they are very quiet with a large base and a shut off if they get tipped over. I highly recommend them. I would start buying them now if you can.
Good idea!
I use “off road “diesel for my mowing equipment. That is untaxed diesel that is dyed red. I got 10 gallons today and it cost me $57.90.
And yet, here we sit, no real detail (names and histories), on the people analyzing, proposing and/or deciding these policies.
They are all accountable.
The lack of detail makes one question who else is involved/supportive.
“They are all accountable”
No, they are not! At least not to we the people. That is the problem.
Good call.
I hear that some guy named Sussman may end up getting probation for his crimes. Lol
He’ll probably get a go fund me account and make out like a bandit.
‘Accountable’ to whom exactly..?
The Dem Lawfare yo-yos have “No problem!” dreaming up a multi-year fictitious federal investigation of a sitting President..
But when it comes to something as simple as conducting an o&g lease sale or ensuring the availability of diesel fuel, they’re suddenly flummoxed!
I just wish the American people had the resolve, the gonads, to implement the…oak tree solution…we are sooooo far past FUBAR now and into the land of no return. Now it’s bread and circus.
Most I think aren’t paying attention.
And I suspect if you grabbed anyone on the street and said, “Isn’t it terrible that our diesel supplies are nearly gone?” you’d get a look of absolute astonishment. I doubt that even the connection between no diesel and our inability to, as a result, grow or deliver food would cross their minds.
Want to see a run on supermarkets? Make this the headline all across the nation, in print and on television. Then ask “So do you still support Biden?” I’d bet whatever Biden voters there are would still do so.
You have to maintain the sacrament of abortion in the cult of climate change. S/
False gods and sacrifices to Moloch. I’ve said it before, How God has not Sodom and Gommorah-ed us is a wonder.
I think you’re wrong…most are paying attention and do understand the relationship between fuel and food. You even see it in the polls; over 70% are worried about energy costs. That tells me most are paying attention, it’s just that like the rest of us, no one knows what to do about it short of a real insurrection.
I am waiting for military brass who took an oath to protect this Constitutional Republic from all enemies foreign and domestic. But crickets.
Unfortunately, it takes getting to the bread and circuses moment, to get most people to develop the gonads, to implement the oak tree solution.
If “everything is going swimmingly” why would people mass and, with pitchforks in hand, storm the bastille, drag the aristocrats out of their high offices, and hang the sunsabitches?
Hard times make for hard men. Hard men make for easy times. Easy times make for easy men.(soyboys).
Easy men make for Hard times.
THIS is where we are, right now.
We are in an Elmore Leonard story; Mr. Majestic, Valdez is Coming,…any of them really, as the plot is always the same.
The protagonist is a GOOD man, just trying to get along and mind his own business, following the golden rule in his interactions with others.
The antagonist is a selfish, greedy *sshole, who keeps f*cking with the protagonist. The protagonist, being a GOOD man, TRIES to deal honorably with the antagonist, until he reaches a ‘breaking point’, and realises he will lose everything he holds dear, by continueing this “goalong to getalong” approach.
So, having “nothing to lose”, he goes to WAR.
WE ain’t THERE,….YET.
But we are getting closer, every minute.
And every action taken, and every word spoken by the Insane Idiots In Charge gets us closer.
Like an avalanche, it happens very slowly,…and then ALL-AT-ONCE.
I was a history major. What always struck me was the vast difference btwn the American and French Revoultions…20 yrs apart, with regard to how the citizenry treated those ousted from power. Yeah, a few homes burned, and some officials harassed here…but no “reign of terror”. NOW, I see. The French Revolution was sparked by rampant inflation, deficit spending on military adventures, and an arrogant detached monarchy/ministries. The American Revolution lacked “The Mob” which led to the Reign of Terror, but we most certainly DO have our digital version of “The Mob” today. If circumstances lead to a removal of our current form of gov’t from authority…I expect that “The Mob” will go into full swing.
“What always struck me was the vast difference btwn the American and French Revoultions…”
It’s 1787 vs 1789.
Madison knew what he was doing. The US Constitution was designed to forestall a Reign of Terror.
As the years rolled on, we have come to more closely resemble the democratic French system than the republican US system.
This ought to alarm any historian.
I always get the feeling that there are MORE PPL whispering in Xiden’s ear than we realize!!!!! Xiden doesn’t have the mindset right now to deal with ANYTHING…he is ACTUALLY a PUPPET!!!!
God Help Us!!!!
The Communist regimes must flattered by the USA politicians/bureaucrats because as the old saying goes “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
