President Trump has endorsed Dr. Oz, however, a considerable number of people in the grassroots MAGA base do not trust Oz, view David McCormick as an establishment candidate, and they are going strong with support for Kathy Barnette {WEBSITE HERE}.
A victory is within reach for the candidate who says “Now more than ever, America requires strong, authentic Republican voices to stand up and defend the U.S. Constitution and the rights we hold dear. I will be that voice — for Pennsylvania and our great nation.”

If anyone here takes the time to search for Kathy Barnette’s tweets on topics such as marriage, you can clearly see that her old tweets carry enough radioactive baggage that may cost her the election in a blue state like Pennsylvania.
After taking a look at Kathy Barnette’s twitter history, I can understand why President Trump did not endorse her because her past public comments on twitter make for very easy opposition research by the Democrats.

I have said this for years..The state or Feds neither one should be involved in marriage..You didn’t need a marriage license..before the 50’s..They only want to govern this for the money and when..the spouse dies if there is not will then they decide who gets what..All this does make money for the attorneys who handle the divorces and it ends up costing a fortune to get out of a marriage..Men get the worst of the deal most of the time and it could go on for years..And in the mean time the attorneys..make big money off of it..Put it back where God intended it to be..Between God and the couple getting married..

PA is dark red conservative with the exception of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Trump crushed Biden so badly they had to ship in 800,000 fake ballots in 2020. It’s only the fraud, and the RINOs, that allows the Demonrats to hold statewide offices. If they fixed the fraud and the GOPe put up and financed decent MAGA candidates, even Senator Casey would be gone.
Many states are like that. Red geography with 1 or 2 blue metro-hives. The people who have lots of crayons and like to draw cute internet maps for the TV pundits are often confused by that.
Interestingly (or maybe not), it’s exactly like that here in CT too. Every election cycle shows a red state with three big blue blips: Hartford, New Haven, and Bridgeport.
The blue is where actual people live. The deep red counties often have few people. It’s great they vote 80% republican, but it’s often just a few thousand votes. Republicans need to win the suburbs, too, or come very close to win the state.

Dottie, I agree. I was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA, left when I was 20. My extended family members still there are mostly moderate to conservative Democrats who, because of long-time cultural traditions, dislike or distrust Republicans.

I believe Sean was going to torch the Dems. My recollection is that he dropped out because the custody judge basically told him he wouldn’t see his kids if he continued to run.

In reading her policies on her website its more of a long list of social progressive democracy where the government is the answer to everything.
Education, energy and healthcare for example have been exploited, Medicare is not tied to a tax and therefore uncontrollable. Both social security and Medicare are social based redistribution programs.
My point being is that every one of these so-called MAGA candidates are all just running on bigger government progressive Republican platforms. The only mentioning of the constitution is in how they are going to expand more federalism into our lives. These are anti federalist positions.
This is not what conservativism is, it’s just a juxtaposed version of liberalism that requires more dollars to be printed.
This is true, Dev. As a constitutional libertarian, I want the government out of all of it. But it’s not going to happen and if it were to happen in a cold turkey manner, people would die. Barnette’s policies aren’t more socialist or more pro government than any other candidate. I look at her policy statements as a good start.

President Trump does nothing by accident. I think he is implementing what Sundance calls the “splitter strategy” here only in reverse. The same strategy President Trump used during the 2016 primaries to split the Bush/Cruz splitter. To endorse Barnett out of the gate would instantly place a political target on her that all the candidates would be out to score from. By endorsing Oz, President Trump sucks the oxygen out of McCormick’s atmosphere and creates a neck to neck race between Oz and Barnett. Now the citizens of PA have a real choice. Brilliantly done, President Trump.

Imagine running as a Republican candidate without telling Republican voters in Pennsylvania that you wanted to build and dedicate a statue of Barack Obama in the year 2020, and that you believe in the 1619 project, that slaves founded America in 1619, and that America was neither founded in 1776 by the Declaration of Independence nor born with the arrival of the Pilgrims in 1620.
