Hopefully this does not come as a surprise to readers here; however, according to analysis by industry insiders, Chicken prices are likely to increase by 70% this year once the full price increases in grain, used as feed, start to take hold. Overall, we will likely see a leveling off in beef prices, but pork (due to soybeans) and chicken (due to grain) will increase significantly.
The issue is one we noted in December of last year when identifying the downstream consequences of fertilizer and component products used for the production of corn, wheat and soybeans crops. “You might say those crops do not seem like they are that important. However, keep in mind that Corn, Wheat and Soybeans represent the baseline for not only grain production in the U.S, but they are also the primary feed products for proteins: chicken, pork and beef.” {Go Deep}
(Fox Business) – Evercore ISI issued a protein inflation note this week projecting that most protein prices are forecasted to increase “substantially” due to the higher feed costs, with chicken breast reaching as high as 70% year-over-year in the first half of 2022. The analysis said pork and ground beef could climb as high as 20% year-over-year during the same period. (more)
That was last year. Those prices have doubled since then. GO DEEP
These anticipated price increases now being projected are what CTH refers to as the tail end of the second inflation wave. We entered the second wave last month driven by massive fuel and gasoline increases. Those costs will join with the fertilizer costs and create a snowball effect in the food sector.
Statistically the 2022 inflationary measure will look lower, because when the biggest part of the second wave hits, it will be cycling around in comparison time to the beginning of the first wave in 2021. The percentage of change will be lower; however, the actual dollar increase in this second wave on food products will be higher than the first.
Eat ZEE Bugs !
W.E.F.
Thats the only thing our elites have learned. Instead of Marie Antoinette’s eating cake, they substitute bugs because SCIENCE.
I am ready to start eating the Communists.
Just make sure you cook them to an appropriate temperature (well done)– as they’re known to carry disease.
Deep fried and crispy coated just like KFC.
Seems like they’d be sour, fatty, and unsavory.
Any port in a storm…
Think slow cook, and stew; they are tough bastards, and salty as hell.
And after all the trouble you go to to cook them,…they are tasteless!
Been there, done that, long story. They make better fertilizer.
I dunno, from what I have seen of them they likely have soft muscle tone and some are plump.
“Tough as a boiled owl” comes to mind..
Pb poisoning for GDC’s!
Ready made source for soylent green.
You can eat ’em. I’d rather hunt ’em.
I prefer Soylent Green… not Soylent Red.
I’ll never eat them. However, I am more than willing to roast them.
Let’s help THEM eat zee bugs. There are more of us than them.
No, fertilize the daisies.
Let’s not poison the daisies… vultures have less particular diets.
Then, for Gods sake,DON’T give up your fire-arms…………..
There was an unfortunate boating accident… and then a divorce. I lost custody of what hadn’t sunk to the bottom. 😳
Oddly, that happens on here a lot….boating accidents, guns gone….odd…..🤔🤣
Lets help zee bugs eat them.
You will have nothing and like it
Think this is a joke???????Watch this.

We are being hoodwinked by OUR betters.
FKS!
They don’t care because this still feeds into their green new deal scam. They have been pushing for people to stop eating meat for a while. So they will just price it out since people won’t obey…
The only green in their green new deal scam is money. It does nothing for the planet or the environment. Trying to live more in harmony with nature would do more for the planet than any of their “green” scams, but that’s the opposite of what they want.
But the things they want us to eat, plants, are also going to go up in price.
Nothing will be spared. As intended.
They’ve been pushing people to stop eating…period.
Perhaps a subtle way pushing people to die.
No one knows their Holodmor. A result of ignoring history.
Ahhhh, yes…So THAT’s why Ukraine has been front and center in the news lately, they’ve been giving us a less than subtle hint of what’s to come. And on the 90th anniversary. How quaint…….
Bingo.
This is all by design. We are being squeezed. Klaus Schwab has a plan.
To eliminate most of us.
Schwab’s plan fails if Putin “wins”. THATS why there is international pressure to get the USA into the fight with Putin. The rest don’t want to pay for a good military nor have their kids killed and maimed in a bloody war. We’ve proven time and again we’ll go decades, even funding both sides of a war, just to have war. Since the Bidens fleeced Ukraine time & again, we need to wonder if Putin is the real enemy, especially given the damage Biden is doing and has done to the USA!
California Governor Gavin Newsom has an added bonus.
To deal with the ongoing water mismanagement in his state – not building new reservoirs, letting 90% of fresh rainwater run out to the ocean, etc. – he will PAY FARMERS THIS YEAR TO NOT GROW FOOD.
(To save water.)
Link to what you are saying please…I believe you…just need proof…even if it’s not true.
Newsom unveils plan to end water wars | News | recorderonline.com
‘ Seize the means of production ‘ by another name , very clever , but we see you.
Yesh, we see him, but what to do about it?
Looked at the article. Newsom has a plan, alright. Comes down to: “voluntary” compliance will be mandatory.
Well, well. Saw your link to the *recorderonline.com* and thought Porterville Distorter? Sure enough. So I guess there at at least 2 of us in/near Porterville inhabiting a branch here on the CTH.
Newsom has been at this for years. It’s common knowledge. The guy killed agriculture in CA. Your produce is coming from Chile and Mexico, believe it or not.
And China is buying up farmland, commercial and residential real estate.
Porterville, in the San Joaquin Valley, is in what is called the ‘orange belt’. It’s a great climate for citrus along the eastern side of the valley. Unfortunately, citrus takes a TON of water. They water all spring, summer and fall for the crop and then they water again all winter whenever there is a chance of freezing weather because the evaporating water raises the temp enough to protect the trees. Had to get rid of the old smudge pots because of pollution, they said.
I live out of town and am surrounded on 3 sides with orange groves and olives on the west side. Olives are great as they are very drought resistant.
Back in the early 2000s Ms Feinstein had the Friant-Kern canal system shut down. The canals were built long ago to bring in water for the ag. After the canals were shut down all the farmers had to drill wells for water for their crops. By 2009 most of the groundwater was gone and most people out of town had to re-drill our wells, at tremendous expense.
From about Porterville on south to the southern end of the valley the climate is considered Mediterranean, as in desert. Without the canals bringing in the water most of the central/southern part of the valley could not be economically farmed with crops that needed a lot of water.
As I recall, I shut off the power to my well on June 30, 2009 because it was dry. I had to get in line and wait 6 months with no water before it was ‘my turn’ to have my well drilled deeper, much deeper. I was lucky because my well went dry at the beginning of the water crisis. By the time they were drilling my new well the wait time was over 2 years to get your well re-drilled. Fun times.
This whole ‘kill the ag in the valley’ scheme has been going on for almost 2 decades now.
Produce availability used to be seasonal. However, two developments made produce available all year; (1) Cold storage innovations. (2) off-season imports from Southern Hemisphere producers.
Born Free…: True, although the forced draught has been ongoing for many years, now. Here in CA, we are flooded with fruits and vegetables from Mexico, Chile, Peru, etc.
It’s why I’m spending the majority of my time on a ranch in Texas despite being a multi generational CA native. I’d live here full time if I could get hubby and daughter’s family to join me.
I’ve been freezing chicken breasts since I could buy it on sale for $.99/lb.
The discounted price today is $2.49 from $4.99 regular price.
I only buy it on special
I’ll be eating more fish too.
Time to stock up on Triskets and bread too
By wheat berries and a grain mill and yeast, and start freezing eggs!
That’s one thing I did in the past couple of years, invest in a grain mill, buy wheat berries in bulk, and learn to keep a sourdough starter alive. I’ve never “cultured” yeast, so I buy it in bulk and keep it in the freezer. I’m sure they’ll take away our right to own a freezer, so I’m learning about a lot of things people did before everyone had a freezer.
Freezers need electricity; something else the tyrants control.
They don’t miss a trick.
Air conditioning is what they hate most
They hate that WE use it for our comfort.
Only our elite masters deserve the comfort of A/C.
I’m late to the game but I just bought a grain mill, learning how to make sourdough bread, & also going to try my hand at yeast bread. It helps me keep sane especially after reading my beloved Treehouse & other news sites that have a tendency to cause my BP to go up & my mouth to spout obscenities at our ‘leaders’ 🤬
I keep 200 pound of wheat berries at all times, and don’t eat bread. Hubby does. Stored right they keep for 25 years. I always have 4 pound of yeast in the freezer too! Always keep 2 years supply of food on hand in case of sickness, or unemployment, and I enjoy canning for the apocalypse! Protein is an important prep, but so is good fats. Canning ghee this week while I can still afford the butter!
I didn’t know you could freeze eggs. That’s new.
I have limited resources so I can only do so much
Eggs last at least 18 months in sealed buckets with water and lime. Do some research on “liming” eggs. I started during lockdown and have eggs from Aug 2020 that are as fresh as the day I collected them. I store in 1 gallon buckets and stack in my basement. Much easier than trying to freeze them all.
Don’t forget…though it has barely been reported…rampant bird flu amongst chickens in, I believe, 5 states now.
Millions killed, so not only chickens but the eggs they would have produced. Was it deliberately introduced? At this point I wouldn’t bet against it. And yes, I am that suspicious and cynical.
YES! Thank you for mentioning it. The bird flu is now showing up in Minnesota, which produces lots of Thanksgiving turkeys.
I’m really surprised that I’m reading that disturbing in the extreme news in only one or two places…places libs and Dems don’t read.
Why trouble them with such unpleasantries? Poor things are probably exhausted from the Will Smith crisis.
😂😂😂
PCR tests are being used to diagnose avian flu.
And we all know how accurate those are/not.
“Emerging” country peoples around the world have craving more proteins- meat- for the past 20 years…. and the grain producers have been well aware of that. Who among you will decide who eats and who does not?
It goes like this; Farmers grow grain which goes to cattlemen to feed cattle which supplies meat
Grain, derived from plants, feeding cattle which then go to meat packing plants.
Ergo Beef is plant based food.
Its what for dinner tonight!
As long as we can afford it
and its available we eat it!
Psalm puking up Putin

Damn, this woman is master of spin. It’s like in a twinkle of an eye she can dazzle you with her bullspit.
She tries but in no way dazzles us.
At all.
She makes me want to puke- not even close to dazzle. She’s ugly inside and out imo
Just this morning bought 40 lbs. of fruit and vegetable fertilizer, for a later date/year. Not many bags on the shelf at Walmart, on CC.
Went into Roche Bros and saw avocados, 2/$6.00. Store made guacamole was $8.00 for 7.5 oz.
All the little luxury food items are starting to disappear from my fridge, already. Hope there will be hot dogs, for my beans when we go full blown 70’s, par deux, sooner than we think.
My Central American Avocado tree produces every year here in Florida, and not the flavorless giant kind either!! I may just set up an avocado toast foodtruck in Gainesville, and upcharge the privileged Libtard students who actually voted for this BS!!!
Put up a couple signs of a smiling Trump around that tree to keep out the hipster leftists craving their avocados.
Growing up in the Canal Zone, we had an avocado tree that produced avocados that were bigger than softballs and would make two meals…not so today. The old heirloom trees have all died from what I understand.
Now,that’s an idea I can live with.Go CR.
I actually challenged myself on giving up things I couldn’t grow or find locally. I can’t seem to let go of coffee though… But! I can grow the plants for making tea, so I will get my caffeine somehow. I restrict chocolate to holidays. I gave up on Avocados a long time ago, sadly. I see nothing wrong in going ahead and training myself now “as if” these favorite things are no longer available. I think my culture shock will be less later down the road.
And I long for the old fashioned “Cafe Duran” of Panama from the 1970’s…all the coffee fincas have gone global and the imported coffee from Panama no longer has the same aroma or taste.
Yes and yes. I couldn’t agree with you more.
I just used my last drop of heavy cream in my afternoon coffee today. Farewell, for now. It’s almost, $6.00 a carton. Sticking to half and half and that is also $6.00. Maybe I will get pissed off enough to go black. Oh my!!!
went from 1/2 1/2 to dunking donut creamer on sale for 32 oz buy 1 and 1 free for 3.99 making it $2.00 each and it lasts longer due to expiration date of 7/2022
Black might be the healthier choice
Definitely.
I understand your pain.
My one cup a day coffee addiction cannot be broken. I am a failure at it. I’ve given up trying. I have at least 20-30 pounds of grounds, beans, and a couple hundred K cups. I live alone, so I think I’m good!
Even worse, I must also have French vanilla creamer to go with it.
So I’ve got several bottles, that I bought on sale, in the bottom of the extra refrigerator.
That stuff actually doesn’t go bad unless you leave it out on the counter for a couple of days. I’ve even got some in the freezer, I’ve not tried to use it yet, but I figure it can’t be that bad.
Just buy cans of beanie weenies!
Used to be a staple in my moms kitchen during my youth.
Really enjoyed it with small curd cottage cheese. 😋
This is all planned. COVID planned, lock downs planned, destruction of economy planned, removal of animal proteins planned. One of the divisions of WEF is the promoter of IMPOSSIBLE MEATS. Burger King was the first to go big with the IMPOSSIBLE Burger.
They are destroying the middle class who they claim consume more goods than anyone
We just received notice from our farmer who supplies chicken to us that they are forced to raise prices due to the cost of feed. At least we still have a direct source and have a freezer stocked at present!
Good for you
Super important to have a direct source!
I hope to be a source in the near future for my community.
Did you Biden ballot mules save your cash? Don’t worry, you can eat bugs if the elites allow you to buy them, while Biden and the elites enjoy Chicken Cordon Bleu at taxpayer expense.
Also, bird flu and lots of chickens being killed, so that will spike chicken and egg prices.
Russian fishing sanctions are expected to hurt the worldwide seafood market, and cause loss of jobs.
Yeah I saw that. 2.75 million in Wisconsin to be culled due to bird flu. My first response was “yeah, right, bird flu.” I think suspicious cat would agree.
Free range chicken!!
First THEY jab you to keep your job then THEY bankrupt you then THEY STARVE you.
81 million voted for this, the remainder have to r we endure this.
NO 81 Million DID NOT vote for this; nowhere NEAR the #’s attributed to Brandon were actually his.
And, PDJT recieved significantly more #’s, that the official count.
Thank God I live in a state that is big on hunting and fishing. Watch the Biden administration go after that too.
Count on it. And, pretty soon those of us who have stockpiled, will be condemned as ‘heartless horders’ and if we barter, “black marketers” (although they will HAVE to come up with a new name!).
And, those who are moving to self sufficiency, by growing their own, will be forced to “donate” their produce, to be equitably distiributed by beneficient Uncle Joe.
May I remind you. While you still can.ORGANIZE.Guns are you friend.LOOK AFTER THEM.AND YOUR FRIENDS.
Honestly, everyone is acting like the government will come in and take people’s stocked food. Are you all really going to roll over and let them raid your house? It’s open civil war at that point.
I thought it would be open civil war when they told us to stay inside and told businesses to close. But the majority just went meekly along with it all. Biggest disappointment of my life.
The democrats:
“THAT PESKY PUTIN DID ALL OF THIS!”
Also the democrats:
“VOTE FOR US AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE AND WE WILL FIX THAT PESKY PUTIN!”
How the Massive Gains in Average Hourly Wages Look Ludicrous Compared to the Reality of Spiking Prices • Apr 1, 2022

Looks like we will need to raise the minimum living wage again….say $45/hr

This would be a good time to stop using corn for ethanol production. Ethanol increases the cost of gas and lowers gas mileage. What’s more important food or ethanol? Open up the pipelines and drill baby drill. Alberta Canada has plenty of oil but the Biden gang doesn’t want it.

most can`t imagine how bad times are gonna get………….
Maybe the wild hog population will be thinned out.
Is that what we’re calling ‘democrats’ now?
And the PA deer population!
Maybe the state will open up deer season sooner this year.
I’ve been working on finding ways to feed my animals due to the increased cost of feed.
-My working German Shepherd Dogs are now eating fresh eggs from the chickens. It has cut their consumption of dog food, which is now about $50/bag, in HALF. I’m stunned, but fresh eggs from free ranging chickens are a perfect food and the dogs love them.
-I let my chickens out to free range. The cost of their feed went up several dollars a bag and they eat a lot. I have a lot of laying hens and meat birds. Their consumption of feed has dropped by 75%. You can also soak/ferment their feed for a day or two and that will release more of the nutrition in the grains and will satisfy them more easily. They are little garbage disposals and will eat leftovers from the family table as if it was Christmas dinner. Waste not, want not.
-My goats are now on pasture, but still get grain, although their consumption is being slowly reduced even though they will need it more in the winter. Ruminants do better on pasture anyway and hay during the winter.
-I located a couple of local farmers/ranchers who will sell me their hay at a very reasonable cost. They grow it for their own animals and generally have extra. However, due to the cost of fertilizer they aren’t going to fertilize their pastures, or will only fertilize some of them, which may have a negative effect over time. Rotational grazing will significantly help pasture management. But, for commercial farmers and ranchers, the situation may cause some bankruptcies. Very sad.
-I’m raising rabbits for meat – a new thing for me – and will be breeding and sell if all goes well.
-My dairy cows are pasture raised, but require some grain at milking time. I’ve found that there are many foods I can grow that will feed the cows those extra calories. Sunchokes (Jerusalem artichokes) are one such item (plant once and they grow like crazy), along with corn stalks, pumpkins, kale, etc.
None of this is rocket science. My grandparents lived through the Great Depression and there is so much to learn about how they survived. I asked my Grandpa how they survived and his answer was simple – “We all went back to the farms” and he actually hated farm life. “Dirty, hard, work”, he said. I get it – my body is aching but the potatoes are in the ground.
There is still land available if you can get out of the cities. With some elbow grease and some extra cash, an old farm house can be revitalized – not picture perfect y’all, just functional. Find a way y’all. Just sayin’.
hey y’all… I was born and raised a city girl. If I can do it, anyone can.
Godspeed.
Much respect!
For the dogs, you can add some green beans (canned, cooked or raw), peas, carrots or white rice as a filler…check with the vet or canine nutritionist for amounts. They’ll poop softer poop.
They can also eat sweet potatoes but not a lot. And canned pumpkin (pure pumpkin). A little cucumber, no seeds but very little. Small amounts of fish can be added to kibble…but check on what kinds (salmon is ok but too expensive)…(no spices added).
I have my shelties brainwashed thinking green beans are an awesome and high value treat!
All great ideas!
Yeah, tell that to my finicky pups. If it ain’t meat, they ain’t eatin’ it. They’d rather starve than eat vegetables.
We have a clowder of 9 cats plus 1 foster who is soon to become a foster fail. Cats are obligate carnivores. No veggies, or the tiniest of amounts at most. I have a decent stockpile of dry food, litter and some canned. Trying to stock up as much as possible as money allows. Canned cat food is super hard to get and price gouging is rampant. I worry more for them than I do for myself.
I boil Chickens use the broth and make chicken flavored rice and add carrots and some greens while it boils Add the rice mixture with some chicken to supplement the kibble
Have you tried raising fodder for the chickens? It’s not hard. If you have ever raised alfalfa sprouts
or wheat grass you can raise fodder. Lots of nutrients and really stretches the grain. I’m sure cattle would eat it, too.
Back a hundred years ago or so mangels were an important feed for lots of different kinds of livestock. It’s a sort of giant beet. You can get the seeds for them on-line from Schumway’s Seeds.
I’m going to try raising sunflowers for seeds and peas for dried peas, for my chickens. Perhaps buckwheat, too, as well as corn.
Excellent ideas!
Do you cook the eggs for your dogs or just crack them into their bowls?
I actually toss the whole raw eggs in the shell to them. But, they’re big dogs and love raw food of all kinds and I know there aren’t any diseases in my flock. Someone I know cracks the raw eggs into the dog bowl, someone else cooks them up.
With eggs for the dogs their coats must be gorgeous!
I’m very partial to my dogs and think they are gorgeous. LOL.
I am in awe of you.
I agree, she is my hero! Wow, very impressive BFAW!
excellent commentary
As an experiment, you might grow a little oregano for your birds to eat.
And I was born and raised a small town girl but now in the city and I have been trying for several years to grow tomatos and potatos and I think it actually is rocket science! Of course, I am trying to do it in a suburb back yard, so not ideal conditions. And I have to get over my office worker background and realize I can’t just take a sick day from watering, especially in July! However, I am finding I love working outside in the dirt. Ideally I need a lot more land to feed our family, but right now am using what I have because that’s all I have the knowledge and skill for anyway. The rest is up to God.
Have you tried growing potatoes in a “grow bag”? They are made of a felt like material. Heck, you can grow potatoes in a 5 gallon bucket or garbage can from Lowes or Home Depot. The trick is to ensure drainage and air flow so you’ll need to drill a few holes in the bucket. Same with tomatoes – you can grow them in buckets. The problem with suburban areas is the soil is fairly wrecked by the construction so there is a lot of amending that needs to happen, unless you’re lucky and the soil is great. That is why I suggest buckets and purchasing soil and amendments. Good luck!!
I too was born and raised a city gal. We moved to rural NC in 2019, and I am feeling overwhelmed with the need to learn so much…..starting a garden, prepping supplies, looking into canning. Much respect to you and hoping I can muddle my way thru this, all while my USN hubby is deployed (but hopefully home soon).
I pray a safe return of your husband. You will do fine. Focus first on staples, such as beans, rice, flour, for the pantry and avoid processed foods because that is where the major shortages are. North Carolina is gorgeous and has a long growing season! Congratulations on that. Every seed in the ground is hope for the future.
Maybe massive price increases is the biggest understatement of the season. And to GMO freaks out there, eat your crap out.
Anyone in the south, Food Lion has chicken legs and thighs on sale for .99 lb…..make room in the freezer and stock up now!!
aldis has lettuce seeds and carrot seeds for 59 cents better than w/m
Thank you. I will go tomorrow. We are planning out our garden this weekend.
And this week Food Lion has pork steak aka Boston Butt on sale .99 a lb. Soooo good on the grill, and in stir Frys/fried rice.
I bought one of those too!! If I can make roo in the freezer, I will go back today for another one!
Bought squirrel traps the other day. Original plan was to relocate the squirrels to the woods. May have to relocate some to the stewpot.
When I was in China in 2019 I noticed the almost total lack of wildlife and birds. In 1959-1961 China started the Great Leap Forward where they caused 55 million people to starve. Boy does this sound familiar the Great Reset. Not to mention bring millions more people into the country who can not support or feed themselves.
Import the 3rd world, become the 3rd world.
May God save America!
I feed our squirrels peanuts so they’re always close by. If worst comes to worst…RIP little buddies.
My VA-born lady hears stories of my TX-youth and is sometimes horrified… but red/fox squirrels really are ok. Never ate a gray/cat squirrel, of course, that’s for trashy people. is “/S” appropriate here?
Where we are from in North Florida, if you go down into an area of town called ‘the quarters’, you’ll actually see a sandwich board on the side of the road that says “FRESH COON for $5.
Although with inflation the way it is, the price may have gone up in recent years!
We have been parents to a Sphynx cat since early 2019. Our boy is white and in certain positions bears a strong resemblance to a small turkey or large chicken. I used to make the joke about if in dire need we could “hack off a leg and throw it on the grill” as there is no fur nor feathers to pluck or shave…….now that “joke” is suddenly no longer amusing. What has the USA become???
🙁
Yeah I hear ya. We have 2 humane animal traps, intended for catching stray cats and TNR’ing them. Now I may be using them for catching meat sources 🙁
People used to and still do eat squirrel. I am breeding rabbits with good genetics to ensure a good breeding line. Rabbits take up very little room and you can set up their cages in the garage if you don’t have space outside.
To each his own.
What impact will the bird flu have on poultry supply and prices?
with price of everything going up it could really up the price of chicken and eggs, also turkeys i live in n.w. iowa and every 2 or 3 days another farm reports bird flu so the whole farm pretty much gets destroyed.think they are up over 6 million birds.they say its from the migrating geese.i call bull schiff.i think someone is deliberately infecting the flocks.
Me, too. The timing is too convenient.
So…..the poultry scamdemic it is then.
The latest in a long line of fraudemics. They really want us useless eaters dead asap.
hang tuff
This too, shall pass….have faith and pray!
Love Hank Sr and Jr!
I never thought I’d live in a Country formerly called America where people will soon go to bed hungry.
All because the President and his party are stupid and probably just evil.
Don’t forget the Globalists.
Captured and controlled by the satanic forces of the WEF.
Meat taxes have just gone ahead in the Netherlands, and this was said here in 2018
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/is-it-time-to-put-a-tax-on-meat/
Meat prices have already skyrocketed. But any further increase will be totally manufactured and only a scam to charge more money and get more profits.
Just like gas. 0% of US gasoline came from russia pre-ukraine war. And only ~4% of all US oil came from Russsia. Yet somehow, gas prices have doubled. We have always used 100% US production for US gassoline. So think about that. Every time over the last so many decades when some political world even happened, and they used it as an excuse to overcharge on gasoline, it was a lie. They were robbing you.
Back in hte 90’s and some in the 2000’s, just before gas price hikes, invariably some logistic issues would occur and small numbers of fuel stations would hike their prices earlier than they were supposed to. It would be pointed out in local news, if you were lucky, when the scandal broke, but only hours to days later, the predetermined “crisis” would be announced in the mainstream national news saying it will raise gas prices. I have seen these mistakes multiple times over the years, and it goes to show the level of the scam, even if it’s a little messy to roll out.
Bread lines in Italy , long ones. People are PISSED.
@RadioGenova
@ThinkingSlow1
Have you got a link to that?
https://www.investmentwatchblog.com/italy-starts-bread-lines-as-government-sends-money-and-weapons-to-ukraine/
I hope Italy’s leaders recall what happened to Mussolini the last time Italians got really upset with their government.
Soooooo Italy is sending tax dollars to a foreign country while their residents starve? Got it.
I don’t maintain a price book but I have started saving all receipts so I can compare prices. I can see the increases over 6 months ago. The pasture raised organic ground beef we ordered in March went up 40 cents a pound today and it was already pretty expensive (but worth it to us).
stock up NOW
Do not count on your freezers working. They are talking about revolving power outages.
What? Whom? In California?
Its already occured in California. Soon to go nationwide as needed.
Retired Magistrate here: Went to Kroger today. Several weeks ago 80/20 hamburger was on sale for $2.97 a pound; today in the Manager’s Special sale section it was $5.42 per pound. Salmon is holding around $9.99 per pound. Don’t even look at steak anymore; the last time we looked filet mignon was $30.00 per pound.
Bread and canned goods are holding steady. Got a family size box of cereal, General Mills, for $2.97. I will probably go back and get more. It has a long shelf life and it will be something to eat if we can’t get anything else. Picked up some good buys at Aldi’s and then came home to fill in gaps in the pantry.
So, for the immediate future we have enough to eat. Thank the LORD.
If you can do it people, raise a garden!
Before government either forbids it or seizes the output.
Where are you, what state?
Our local chain grocery store just had a sale of Tyson 10 lb bags of chicken quarters for $3.99. We picked up 2 so far and may be going back for more.
Wow! That’s a great price. The lowest I’ve seen them here in WNC has been 5.90 for 10 lbs. I would definitely go back if you have the room.
We are pretty stocked on chicken, breasts and thighs we get at Costco. But this was a nice change and they are some very choice pieces of meat. I was shocked and thought there must be some catch when I saw it in their weekly flyer.
My husband grills them on the Webber, one hour indirect heat. Half hour each side. They come out golden delicious!!💜
My housemate is a prize winning smoking & BBQ professional. We have three very large smokers in the driveway. All hand made. And then there’s the Webers, who housemate did a Father’s Day commercial for many years ago.
I wanna see!! Are you anywhere near me? I’m near Charlotte NC..hubs has a mac daddy(his words not mine) pit boss smoker and a Brinkman Side box vertical smoker……men and their toys!😂😂
You will eat nothing and be happy!
FYI
Sawdust, some minced leaves and grass made into bread can make a filling meal.
Just sayin’.
Beef, and chicken to a lesser extent, supplies the human body with all of the B vitamins. No question as to why those items are being placed out of reach for pedestrians like us. If you look at the overarching pattern that has been going on for probably a couple of decades now, you will see that all the foods that we need to maintain Health have been either quashed or limited in some way. The push for grains is really diabolical. The human body does not tolerate grains very well at all,the digestive system rejects it, and grains can cause all sorts of havoc in the digestive system.
Is rice next?

All grains will be subjected to shortages and rationing.
As well as just about everything we consume.
Not just in America, my local store manager tells me that this year alone he’s been forced to raise prices eight times, this he said he’s never done before.
Australian $1.33 = $1.00 US
2.205 pounds of prime beef costs approximately $57.00 Australian.
What I note reading here is across the whole food spectrum the globalist gameplane is exactly the same in both our countries, even down to buying up farmland.
I’m thinking Revolution is closer than I thought !
Two weeks ago at Costco, a 10 lb bag of frozen chicken wings was 40 bucks!
But a 1.75L bottle of vodka has dropped two bucks in the last two years… down to $12.99.
(Note to people living in Lutheran states like Washington…. drive to Calimexistan and Nevada for your liquor… ).
We also just picked up some sweet Italian sausage spice and hot Italian sausage spice at the spice store, which we can add to ground pork and/or ground beef to make our own. MUCH cheaper than buying it. A 1/2 lb bag of each costs $2.55, and 2 TBSP works for 3 lbs meat.
They have bratwurst spice too. Maybe next time.
Good time to fill and pack the freezer with some meats while the prices are still down.
Also buy a canner and raw pack boneless skinless chicken breasts. Easy and you won’t lose them in power outage
Just make sure it’s a pressure canner if you are canning meat. I just bought an American made one at Lehmans and will be pressure canning vegetable beef soup tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Could the Colonel have lived on his Confederate pension?
I lick my fingers, twice, and its still not enough on these rations.
This doesn’t affect most Biden voters. They will just raise food stamps again. The wealthy don’t care. The dead don’t eat. And frankly the professional class has so much disposable income this won’t really register.
I don’t think the affluent coastal and urban residents even know how much most food costs. I would bet you I could survey a 100 white collar workers in Boston, DC, SF, etc. and 90 or more would not know how much milk, chicken, etc. cost.
Oh, it’s definitely having an effect on wealthier people. My 25 y.o. daughter has friends who are for the most part engineers, computer geniuses, consultants, and CPAs and they are starting to moan about food prices. (These are young single people with little or no student loans). And I know even the Lexus and Mercedes moms at my kids’ school are feeling the pinch. Inflation is in the conversations at the Mothers Club meetings. One lady said she told her sons every Wednesday is now hot dog night and several moms chimed in what a good idea that was.
I apologize for my comment in advance – I think we need a parallel economy for food that
is purchased both on the supply and customer side between conservatives only. Only those
that wear MAGA hats! LOL
I don’t want to give one dime to these a$$hats, whether democrat or republican, who supported those
who got us in this mess.
I’m buying from the local farmers at the market, which runs from tomorrow through the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I’ll be canning all summer and fall, either water bath or pressure method depending on the item.
Add to that the bird flu going around. Also…you all might want to consider, if you have the time and money for it, raising quail. Oftentimes there are no regulations on raising them unlike chickens. They mature faster, are quieter, require less space and give an egg a day, whereas chickens *might* give an egg a day, they also don’t get tough as they age unlike chicken, their droppings can be used as fertilizer and if you have a dedicated room, they can even be raised indoors.
My cats would love having quail in the house. The quail won’t but the cats will, lol!
A local pork farmer has guinea hens on his property because they eat the tics.
Guinea hens have incredible eyesight. They will rid your yard of fleas, too.
Well there is plenty of evidence that the shortages are ALL “manufactured” by direct government actions to interfere with or curtail food production.
Christian, the Ice Age Farmer brings us up to date with the government crimes against food producers PLUS a good segment at the end about strategies to grow more of our own foods in our communities .

I’m watching this video now. Talk about depressing… However, I’m happy, so to speak, to have another source of information.
He’s the best – most honest and blunt – that I’ve seen on food production / farming in the western nations.
I keep an eye out for his videos. I like him.

They really want us to eat Gate’s synthetic beef, so he can make billions again. 666. Buildbackbetter
Just another way to get you vaccinated
We buy our pork and beef by the whole/side and are fortunate to have plenty of space to store. I did however need to stop at our local Kroger the other day and all I can say is WOW😳. I was in sticker shock.
I’m wondering what they do with that meat that expires due to nobody being able to afford it.
So the store butcher puts out a full display of meats, only a few willing to pay $25/pound for a stake dinner, $9.99/pound for crap ground beef…. But the hotdog section is empty.
Will the stores sell at discount so it doesn’t go to waste?
I’m just sayin’…
Pity they are loaded with the clot shot!
Make sure they are well done and not rare or medium rare.
