They want to be buds and then when having a bad day they play militant teacher and the kids are confused of their roll. My son has known about affairs, divorces, drinking too much, yeast infections etc. This bs was happening from 1st till graduation last yr.
My trick, which received the result I wanted, was to address the ridiculous teacher face to face. Bring up the info as a matter of fact. Put it in their faces including one who told of abortion. “So how you feeling after the abortion?” When I received the “deer in headlight” shocked look I would shrug. Then I’d throw in a, “That is why you have no control over the class vomiting personal problems to teens.” Then I would walk off. Teachers today are not the smart ones from 40 yrs ago. People need to realize that. Your avg teacher is socially inept and relates more with the students than adults.

Most people unfortunately can’t afford to stay at home and forego work.
We didn’t take vacations. We lived in a decent neighborhood on a single salary not a fancy one with double salary. We made do and did without. Our children were our priority. I realize that not everyone can but I also know many can if they decide that it’s important.
I had babysitters and I knew what it was like so we did what we had to do in order to give our children a different childhood. Our children become teens and adults; they need proper guidance so you can’t afford NOT to home school with this b.s. going on!

Well, a teenage boy turned girl assaulted girls in the bathrooms of two or three schools and it was not reported. The father of one of the girls spoke out at a board meeting and was treated terribly by the Board and the police. The Parents got involved for two years, and it became a state-wide issue. It has also come out that sexual assaults by transgender males has happened in other schools as well, but was not reported. It is part of the reason that the VA GOP swept the Governor’s seat, the Lt. Gov.’s seat, the AG’s seat, and took back the House. As a result, the GOP just passed a Law that Parents have a right and a say in their child’s education.

I’m seriously considering it. I have 3 kids under 5 right now.
You can do it! We home schooled our son and daughter K-12 (with some added on line classes and a co-op). It’s a way of life, not school at home. You have many more options than we did 20 years ago. I would do it again (with some tweeking) in a hearbeat. The best time of my life.
Homeschoolers consistently do better on standardised tests, than public school students, and are more likely to attend college, do better IN college, and graduate.
And “socialisation” isn’t a problem. Firstly, they don’t get good socialisation in school; they get socialised.
Secondly, check into home school associations/coops in your area.
Thirdly, can you think of ANY other situation in life, where a large group of people are divided into smaller groups, based on the year of their birth?
I homeschooled my kids,..just DO IT.
School regimentation flows from the Prussian system. It leads to military and industrial regimentation.
And it clashes with the learning styles of gifted and high achievers.

It’s hard to imagine the average public school turnout product, (no more graduation achievements needed), in the role of a military leader.
Having had dozens reporting to me for 12 years, these youth with 12 or more years of school, generally couldn’t read at a third grade level, spell, read or write cursive, & count without taking their shoes off.
My brother and his wife (mostly his wife ☺) homeschooled their children and they have turned out magnificently. They are intelligent, mature and both of them (in their early twenties) are already making over $100,00 a year. Co-ops can be worked out so everyone gets some time off and they have activities together. And the beauty of it is that you don’t have to worry what your kids are being taught in school. It would be great if we could put the “teachers” out of work.
2 of our kids were in Gifted class. 5 children who had the same teacher for 4 years. The age span was 5 years. Taught like a home school. inside a regular grade school. Both are finishing their doctorates. Both taught at the University and both were younger than their students when they taught.
Our daughter completed all her University engineering requirements in math BEFORE she started H.S. Son went from middle school to university and missed H.S.
I assume your “gifted class” was within the government school system. Don’t let anyone find out which one, or it’ll be shut down because equity.

Personally I am sick and tired of my taxes going to pay for schools where these children are being made into zombies! I see no justice in this. I also see no reason for the tax payer to be forced to pay for this!
Go for it. You can do it. I am homeschooling my grandson who just turned 6. I am a newbie myself to homeschooling. There are a ton of Home School support groups. Locally and online. Your local library should have material on home schooling and even programs that your children can attend. My State park has educational programs for kids. From an hour to half a day to all day camp during the summer. Take the plunge.
When I started teaching at the University, I was scared. I had never studied teaching. I was teaching 2 new classes to students which I had never taken. The classes were new and we had no textbooks. The classes were senior level. Classes were under 12 students and kinda like homeschool.
Do it, if you can! Im homeschooling my 8yr old son. We’ve been in a homeschool community since he was 4. Our community is called Classical Conversations. It’s nationwide. Find their website and you can look more info.
Classical Conversations is a Christian centered curriculum also. It’s good to research and see what works best for you 🙂
Do it! Do it! Do it! Don’t be afraid you can’t. My DIL is homeschooling my granddaughters. When the first summer came and they weren’t going to have “school”, they asked why not and even after she explained that they could have summer off, they wanted to have “school”. Most kids love it. And, think of all the things they are taught in school that you won’t have to undo. There are a lot of materials out there and other parents who can help you if you need it.
Oh, I homeschooled my son and never had a problem with him growing up. He now is a wonderful husband and father.
It was TIME to homeschool, 20 years ago.
At that point, for the previous 30 years, I had seen newspaper articles for 30 years saying “American public schooling gets D’s and F’s.
Go back and look; every assesment of public schooling in America, Nationwide over the last 50 years has been consistent: it SUCKS.
And all thats been done is to throw more $ at it, while it gets steadily worse.
I learned more reading on my own than I ever did in Public School.
We were expected to be reading, & writing longhand, by age four.
There was no kindergarten in 1944 parochial schools.
We played blocks at home
In school, we did the 3 Rs.
My daughter’s 58. From fifth grade on, I spent a lot of time getting to know teachers I’d have rather not known.
I hired a tutor as my daughter was receptive to a young woman helping her, but not to me. Worked out fine, as I was in charge & not the schools.
Bussing was also a huge issue then. Rather than upgrade all schools, make them ALL better, they bussed kids to non-neighborhood schools, returning them to their neighborhoods at day’s end. All without parental consent, but they couldn’t take them around the block for a field trip without written permission.
She appreciates the efforts I made then, especially, as she watches the horrors some of her grandchildren are experiencing.
The next step is that you will have no choice on where your children are educated.
It is time to destroy this evil in Christendom .
