President Trump named just about everyone connected to ‘Spygate’ and the manufactured ‘Trump-Russia’ fraud in a civil lawsuit filed today in the jurisdiction of Miami, Florida.

“Acting in concert, the Defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty,” the president states. The ramifications could be significant as the Durham criminal probe continues to generate evidence that supports the Trump lawsuit.
“Under the guise of ‘opposition research,’ ‘data analytics,’ and other political stratagems, the Defendants nefariously sought to sway the public’s trust. They worked together with a single, self-serving purpose: to vilify Donald J. Trump,” says one segment of the lawsuit.
All of the claims within the filing are substantiated by documents outlining the history of the events. I’m not sure any defendant is going to be successful getting themselves out of the target zone on the lawsuit. The suit alleges “racketeering” and a “conspiracy to commit injurious falsehood,” among other claims.
Defendants include: Hillary R. Clinton, HFACC, Inc., the Democratic National Committee, DNC Services Corporation, Perkins Coie, LLC, Michael Sussmann, Marc Elias, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Charles Halliday Dolan, Jr., Jake Sullivan, John Podesta, Robert E. Mook, Phillipe Reines, Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, Peter Fritsch, Nellie Ohr, Bruce Ohr, Orbis Business Intelligence, Ltd., Christopher Steele, Igor Danchenko, Neustar, Inc., Rodney Joffe, James Comey, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Kevin Clinesmith and Andrew McCabe
The suit was assigned on Thursday to U.S. District Court Judge Donald Middlebrooks, who is based in West Palm Beach, FL, a Bill Clinton appointment.

It may be the other way around. Igor Danchenko is one of Durham’s primary persons of interest. An indictment and trial would consume months at a minimum, putting him out of reach of a civil suit until the trial’s end.

The only way I see the DOJ coming in to the case at all is to argue national security concerns about evidence or some bs like that.
Also the current top DOJ decisionmakers should be conflicted out because they are all recycled from 2012 to 2016, and therefore are probably on the witness list (McCord, all the other DOJ National Security Division people).

Asked in an open thread at one point and the answer I got was only the DOJ could file one. But I didn’t see that specifically mentioned in reading he RICO act, though they are mentioned if I’m recalling correctly. I took that reply to be an assumption it could or would be initiated by them, but no where did it say it was limited to them.
And as mentioned by the Grumpy Grandpa below, I’d love to hear of some citizen filing a RICO suit against the federal government. Don’t know why he would not continue with the same type of research available.
Sitting Congressman. With the exception of Jake Sullivan, every other defendant Sundance lists is currently a private citizen or entity. Schiff would be a complicating factor.
The better question is, why include Jake Sullivan the current National Security Adviser? Is this sufficient to force his resignation? A little payback for the persecution of General Flynn?
Filing this suit is DC is a complete waste of time. Guaranteed to be in front of a hostile judge who will rule 100% against every plaintiff motion. Block evidence as inadmissible. And top it off with a jury pool that is 95% hard core Democrats. The courts are completely politicized on anything involving Trump. He won’t get justice from ANY court. The GOP establishment will be just as much against him in this as the Democrats.
He didn’t file in DC. The suit was filed in West Palm Beach, Florida. (it says so in the article 😉).
The suit was filed in a federal district court in Florida.
District Court for the District of Columbia not involved, and can’t get involved. Nor is the DC Circuit for Appeals deciding on appeals of discovery matters. If memory serves, FL is the 11th Circuit, which I think flipped to majority R appointments under President Trump.
The Clinton and Bush judges can be snakes, but less reliably so than Obama appointees.
Also, it’s a FL jury pool.
Been a good week for my President. First the Stormy Denials appeal was Tossed out by the presiding Judge and ordered to pay the $200,000 Legal fees. Then The NY DA decided to close the books on any further investigations of President Trump.
Could this be the beginnings finally of the Big Ugly?
