For the life of me, I don’t understand why more people cannot see what lies at the end of this road. The WEF crowd and the Putin/Xi crowd are both winning in this scenario.
The WEF team because the multinational corporations are now merged with government (VISA example above). The Putin/Xi team win because the U.S. dollar will no longer be the baseline of their trade initiatives (the BRICS monetary agenda). Ok, a dollar is worth what a dollar will buy in US goods in a simple trade. A pound, a Yen, a remimbi, a rand, etc. it just gets really inefficient for everyone to trade in all the different currencies. So everyone just started using dollars (vietnam will settle trade with brazil in dollars). Since everyone is using dollars, the world needs a crapload of dollars to satisfy the trade settlement requirements. This means DC can issue dollars, and when they do, they get stuff (roads, planes, EBT votes, stolen foreign aid, etc). Since there is such a demand for dollars, for oil, and everything else, our government can get away with many currency issuances that dilute other countries’ USD holdings, but all the other countries look the other way, as having a frictionless dollar to settle trade is worth the US dilution and debt. The other thing the US has is a very advanced settlement system, that allows for a protected settlement (would you take a check from a bank in South Africa Rand for your shipment of beef jerkey?). Right now they have flooded the market with dollars, and now they are politically abusing the settlement system. That has been shattered, shattered in a million pieces, and our standard of living will suffer greatly. We will no longer have a global economy to soak up dollars. DC cannot run up $30T debt, the effects of profligate government will be immediate. How can one possibly claim and exercise ownership of an item that only exists on a print-out?
For this reason, I frankly don’t believe that a strictly digital currency system passes constitutional muster.
Of course, the government or the banking system could possibly send me certificates similar to stock certificates, but with the latter I can claim and exercise ownership by selling the stock for cash.
A bank certificate stating that I am the legal owner of a $10,000 account at Chase Bank in digital currency ONLY still does not allow me to exercise my ownership, although it would allow me to claim it. Put simply, you don’t really own something you can’t take possession of.

Retired Magistrate here: No, there will still be islands of freedom on a local and state level. I bank with a local bank who did not take federal funds during the banking crisis. They are very conservative and are located in small towns and do business with locals. I have seen their balance sheets and they are very financially sound.
I keep telling people to look at history; the Great Depression when many people lost everything because they over speculated and could not come up with the money when the margin calls came in. Banks called in loans, houses and farms were lost and things looked really bleak. However, this country recovered.
Will the entire country recover this time; maybe not. But, I do think that there are certain areas which will be able to overcome all that is directed at us right now. Becoming as independent from government services as possible is extremely important. Barter will come into play along with growing your own food if you can.
So start developing the mentality of the Amish and Mennonites now; self sufficient. Giving up never accomplished anything except leading yourself and others to total despair. Of course the main thing we all need to be doing is praying that GOD will show us HIS mercy and not totally turn away from our country.
A relationship with God is infinitely important. It’s Lent. Fast on dooming, feast on hope. And definitely prepare for rocky times.

A lending institution can not be in business without insurance.
Lending institutions with either a state or federal charter must be insured through FDIC or its state sanctioned equal, except for credit unions.
Only some credit unions are untouched by the Feds, they use American Share Insurance (ASI) non government insurance.
And not all credit unions use ASI, many use the federal government insurance.
All other banks are government insured and government regulated.
The Feds can possibly come in any time they want to any of their government insured banks ( which means all banks in the US except for ASI credit unions ) and start slapping all kinds of regulations on them.
If your money is in a US bank, not an ASI credit union, you might want to watch things very carefully.

The other side wants chaos in order to change everything for their purposes, but chaos could also allow changes for good, if we are ready to work for it. (For instance, actually go back to government by the Constitution.) We do need a lot of change. There are a lot of things in America that have been very bad for a long time but we got used to it and stopped seeing it.

They don’t have all the positions of power; there have been many decisions made by judges, legislatures, and Congress in the past year that were good ones. How much of all the things Biden has said would happen, actually happened? (Notably with mandates!) And even the other side appears to have all the positions of power, it is God Who laughs at the rulers of this earth. Remember, the One Who told Gideon that he had too MANY with him to fight the innumerable Midianites.
God knows when the end times are; I don’t. He said they would be like nothing ever seen before, and if you read history, there are a lot of horrors other generations have lived through that we haven’t even approached yet. God didn’t say to sit down and despair. He has jobs for us to do, and we need to be found doing them when He returns.

Now what would be “war” is if Visa and Mastercard announce they will not open up any new Visa/MC accounts within Russia or process any Visa/MC payments initiated within Russia. But that is not what they have announced.

You have to read the Visa and Mastercard announcements very carefully to see what is actually happening here. Visa transactions are NOT being stopped within Russia, only those transactions attempted on Visa cards issued by banks outside Russia are being stopped. So your expat worker in Moscow finds out his HSBC issued Visa card no longer works in Moscow, what does he do? Demand his employer provide him with a Visa card issued by a Russian bank. Thus, his Visa transactions will continue and Visa will continue to earn transaction fees within Russia.
Similarly, Visa cards issued by Russian banks will no longer work outside Russia but the solution is the same. Your expat Russian living in London just marches into HSBC or another British bank and opens up a new Visa card account. Those transactions will still occur and Visa will still get paid on those transactions.
What Visa/MC will lose are cross-border revenues which is when (for example) a Visa card issued by a London bank gets used in Russia. But those revenues are a small fraction of what Visa makes on all Russian Visa card transactions which as I noted above will not go away, they will simply switch to new cards issued by a Russian bank.
So, sorta like virtue signaling on supporting Ukraine while still buying Russian oil.

The petrodollar was always going to be replaced because US govts going back decades didn’t care how many it printed.
It was devalued through surplus … ostensibly to solve other problems.
You can’t blame oil exporters trying to retain value in exchange for their oil.
However there is little/no chance of some sort of rouble + yuan replacement, the yuan is monopoly money without China holding much US debt no-one would trust the CCP , essentially that it’s backing + some gold. The Russian economy is tiny, the rouble isn’t even a tradable currency really.
The world can’t avoid some sort of IMF drawing right instrument made from a basket of currencies.
That will severely limit the US’s ability to live on debt because it can’t print the world’s reserve currency for “the price of the ink” any more.
And thus, we are getting to the crux of what the great reset entails.
Undermining national sovereignty plays into it and the IMF certainly is another piece to the puzzle when you consider the actions and goals of the UN as a whole.

I have written elsewhere that it’s clear to me that these creatures have no incentive to create a ‘good’ outcome for us and have every incentive to continue and increase the chaos. The most important message, I think, that I heard today was the call to “get right with God”, NOW.
