The White House released the following statement, with Joe Biden promising to talk tomorrow:
WHITE HOUSE – The prayers of the entire world are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces. President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering.
Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way. The world will hold Russia accountable.
I will be monitoring the situation from the White House this evening and will continue to get regular updates from my national security team.
Tomorrow, I will meet with my G7 counterparts in the morning and then speak to the American people to announce the further consequences the United States and our Allies and partners will impose on Russia for this needless act of aggression against Ukraine and global peace and security.
We will also coordinate with our NATO Allies to ensure a strong, united response that deters any aggression against the Alliance. Tonight, Jill and I are praying for the brave and proud people of Ukraine. (link)

The obvious issue here to me is was that no one was in economic position to do anything about Russia taking over whatever they wanted. They control the energy and therefore the economic future of Europe.

The N@ZI Ukies have been shelling innocent ethnic Russians in the breakaway provinces for eight years. Putin has said he will render aid to fellow Russians and stamp out Ukie N@ZIsm. He doesn’t bluff. He’s putting an end to the mistreatment and murder of Russian-ethnic people at the hands of the N@ZIs in the Ukie military. Those are the people on his “list” of Ukies to be caught dead or alive. They are real, honest to goodness N@ZIs and war criminals.
Whether it’s a nuclear winter or the information coming to light, the end result should be the same: Uniparty heads on spikes. Those in power can’t disappear forever. We’re gonna need something bigger than a deck of cards to put “Wanted” faces on, though.

Xi told Putin to move forward, to test Biden. What will Biden do when Xi moves against Taiwan and further into control of the South China Sea? My guess is next to nothing. Of course neither Putin or Xi would move while Trump was around. That’s why China was involved in the election steal. Yup, stolen elections have bad consequences.
With Ukraine we are going to be short on some oil, and evidently also a lot of grain. Won’t be pretty.
With Taiwan it will be worse – without the chips it’s estimated to be a 30% hit on our economy, I’ve seen stated several times.

I expected Russia to take control of those eastern provinces, much as they did a few years ago in the old Soviet Georgia, when McCain was shrieking for war. No big deal then or now. NATO tries to expand, the NGOs and globalists try to buy off and hijack the government, and then Russia secures its borders and ethnic allies.
No big deal, unless other nations get stupid, like in 1914. Just let it be. The US has no strategic interests here. And no leader to press any interests.
We’ll see if Germany sticks with their deal with Russia. That’s the tell.

They [the markets] are out of kilter much more than than two sigma. So two sigma you can have some fairly standard bubbles. They give you a certain amount of pain – 30 40 50 percent pain. Super bubbles can really wipe you out as in late 1929
That’s where we are now. We ended a few months ago into three sigma territory super bubble territory and the other great risk is. Last year we also entered bubbles in real estate. So this is a very dangerous year that we’ve just had.
If the super bubble bursts as you predicted will what happens. What happens to the economy? What does history tell us?
Some bubbles are very specialized to US growth stocks like 2000. And they and they hurt. There is a wealth effect. People lose money. They pull back on their spending but they don’t hurt anywhere near as much as when you combine that with a housing bubble. So in 2008 where we had the only housing bubble in American history that burst and the stock market came down 50 percent in sympathy then you’re talking serious damage to the economy through the income effect.
Because this time we have as a multiple of family income US housing suddenly is more overpriced than it was ever in the housing bubble of 2006 to 2008. And they got bad this last year. Since we last spoke the biggest increase 20 percent that the US housing market index has ever had has taken it to a new high. And they are in the US still much cheaper than Canada Australia New Zealand, London Paris et cetera. So that is a global event that could cause enormous pain. So we have a housing problem. We have a stock market bubble like 2000. We have overpriced commodities. Oil is eighty eight. [now 105 – W] And we have of course the lowest real rates in the history of man.
If bonds are overpriced and stocks are overpriced does that make the traditional 60 40 balanced portfolio useless absolutely useless? For years investors have taken comfort in the notion of an implicit put anytime the market stumbled. The Fed would effectively bail it out with a rate cut or more recently by injecting liquidity. The Greenspan put became the Bernanke put which became the Yellen put. And finally the power output. Does inflation and the handcuffs that it puts on monetary policy eliminate that implied option?
It complicates it and yes it limits it. It probably does not remove it because of inflation. And because of low rates now you don’t have the tools that Greenspan had.

Putin is not going to get bogged down in an urban fight with cornered Ukranians . Huge territory, it cant be occupied. Putin will take what he wants, break moral and force the EU to make a deal.
