As the Canadian ‘Freedom Convoy’ of truckers pushing back against COVID mandates, forced vaccinations and government regulations gets closer to Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces he will be isolating at home after exposure to the COVID ‘Protest Avoidance‘ variant.
Trudeau admits he has not tested positive, but thinks it is prudent to stay home just in case.
The fundraiser for the Freedom Convoy now exceeds $6.3 million dollars and still climbing. It is estimated that somewhere north of 50,000 vehicles are participating in the convoy. The Canadian government is very concerned about the political ramifications.

These are the results of a grassroots demonstration that has evolved into something far bigger than any of the organizers originally envisioned. I am reminded of Pope John Paul’s visit to Poland in the ’80s, when the solidarity movement first glimpsed the size of their unity. They took to the streets, looked around at the crowds, and realized for the first time there are more of us than them… and then things changed quickly. Hopefully for the Canadian people this convoy protest is a similar inflection point in history.

That said, it’s the cities in Ontario and Quebec that have the most seats, and it’s why the election is usually won before the West even gets to vote.

Just want to add a comment I live in Juneau, Ak. after reading comments and watching videos of the Freedom Convoy in Canada I decided to do our own Freedom Convoy here in Juneau. We are the capitol of Alaska and landlocked. We have no roads out of Juneau. If you are able to catch a ferry out of Juneau your options are Haines then Canada, Skagway then Canada, or Bellingham Washington might as well be Canada. We are rallying Saturday the 29th, the day the trucks show up in Ottawa.
our legislature is now in session and the governor should be here. The convoy will pass in front of both. I have no idea how many will actually show up the local business owners are fearful to drive their business vehicles for fear of retaliation ,so many have said they will drive their personal vehicles.
We are a town of about 30,000 90% government workers. We have been locked down, masked up, our teachers and our hospital staff has been forced to vax or test constantly. We virtual schooled for a year then masks demanded. Our Covid death count I believe is below 20 I know many of those were elderly with multiple ailments. One of which was my father who was killed by the hospital not in Juneau but in Arizona . We have no Dr. in town who will prescribe ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine. We do have one pharmacy who will fill prescriptions for it at the tune of $400.00 a pop.
Real people have had enough our city assembly and city manager have raked in the Covid money and spending like water. I have been thanked for putting this rally together many times. Comments like we have been waiting for someone to do something over and over. These people are not nice I have a friend who attended President Trumps Jan. 6 Rally in Washington. He did not go near the capitol and happily posted his pictures on his social media and business pages. He was actually driven out of town by the hateful treatment he received from our downtown residents. They forced him to close his business by blocking access and making it impossible for people to shop yelling and ridiculing his customers. The people who will be participating are taking a tremendous stand. These are the people who I want to have my back as this war continues we are drawing a line and taking a hill. I can’t wait to hear the Facebook comments.
