The situation in Ukraine is a European problem. Living, as I do, in Middle Tennessee, I do not have ANY interests in Ukraine, none, nada, ZIP and ZERO. I can imagine a situation in which Mexico or Canada were to try to join the Soviet Federation, that would be a problem. On the other hand imagine the Russian position, with Ukraine trying to join NATO. They share 1500 miles of border, we on the other hand share 1900 miles of border with Mexico…..would we be comfortable with Russian troops stationed there? That shoe doesn’t fit so well when on the other foot, does it? Ukrainians speak, basically a slightly different Slavic language, but basically the same language as Russia and until 1991 was a member of the old Soviet Union.
The Biden administration must not be allowed to get our nation embroiled in a military conflict that we have no hope of winning without using nuclear weapons….and I think all can agree there are no winners in that scenario.

I tend to think it’s real. I think we are pushing Russia hard in an effort to get them to react so we can shut them off from the West and Europe. In essence we can not afford to wait and let Russia and China gain strength and partners over time.

It also occurred to me that Putin might be “the distraction” so that China’s actions fall under the radar. Is China moving to take Taiwan and no one is noticing b/c of what Putin’s doing?
In hindsight, after the fall of the USSR/communism in Russia, why didn’t we befriend and help Russia, like we did with Germany & Japan after WWII. There was no actual reason, after the dissolution of Soviet Communism, to keep Russia an enemy. Why did we do that?
What we did for decades was keep Russia an enemy… but build-up Communist China so that now the PRC is more powerful and dangerous to us than the Soviet Union ever was.

We don’t need Russia as an ally. We (the military industrial complex) need Russia as an adversary so that we can continue our profiteering. Russia is in the winning position because of Biden. Only Russia can supply the energy Europe needs because of Biden. Russia now has excess cash flow from oil because of Biden. Because of Biden it will be America alone against both Russia and China, likely a losing proposition. With Trump Russia would still be neutered and China would fear us. Our position now is a direct result of the treasonous activities of Biden and the Democrat party.
