Hopefully everyone has done their preparatory diligence and are well situated to assist their family, because prices on fast turn consumable goods (groceries) are now less than 30 days from entering exponential increase phase. CTH has been counting down the days to impact as the contract terms of 30, 60 and 90 days have begun expiring.
The Wall Street Journal has seen the first pricing notification memo from Kraft-Heinz food group to the buying offices of major U.S. retailers. Here’s how the WSJ presents it: “Kraft Heinz Co. told retailer customers that it would raise prices across many of its products including Jell-O pudding and Grey Poupon mustard, with some items going up as much as 20%, according to a memo viewed by The Wall Street Journal.” VIDEO:
Keep in mind a few points:
(1) The outlined price increases noted are against current price terms and contracts. Meaning, these are price increases from right now to the next fulfillment. These are not inflation price increases which are compared to a year ago. These are 5% to 20% increases from the current price right now.
(2) The price increases are not the final price increase. This is the price of a contract today from the field to the distribution center. The retailer also has additional price increases (transportation, energy, labor, etc) which they need to add to the wholesale price before you see the final price at retail (grocery store).
The final field to fork price is not yet known but will be higher than noted above. We are only seeing the notifications from field, through processing and into warehousing and distribution.
Additionally, the more an item needs to be processed, the higher the price increase will be. Food items that require multiple raw materials, ingredients and bases for processing (ex. condiments), when combined with increased packaging costs (oil, energy), will be much higher than foods with less processing, handling and packaging.
This has always been the nature of this specific supply chain.
Example: Many products, food, drinks and even cleaning products, contain citrus bases, additives, flavorings and distillation. Those products will be much higher in price due to the price increases in raw materials, combined with higher energy and petroleum costs. It is an issue of cumulative price increases in the production of the product from beginning to end.
CTH has recommended preparing for these massive increases in 2022 prices by thinking about the base products you use to make meals at home and holding an extra supply of shelf stable products, so you won’t hit the grocery store and face those massive increases. Another example will be coffee. Keep in mind Kraft Foods is Maxwell House.
(Wall Street Journal) – […] The Labor Department said the consumer-price index rose 6.8% in November from a year ago, the fastest pace since 1982. The food-at-home index, which includes purchase from grocery stores, rose 6.4% over the past 12 months, with meats, poultry, fish and eggs increasing 12.8%.
Coming price increases in 2022 range from as low as 2% to 20%, hitting all sections of the grocery store including produce and packaged goods. Potatoes, celery and other heavier vegetables will have higher price tags next year in part because of higher freight costs, supermarket executives said. Wine, beer and liquor are also likely to get more expensive, they said, especially those that are imported.
Pantry staples such as mayonnaise and frozen meals are expected to be more pricey partly because of higher labor, logistics and packaging costs, some executives said. (read more)
A working-class family who typically spends $200 to $300 a week on groceries is already getting hammered at the gas pumps and grocery store. Another $50 bucks on top of the grocery bill each week can be very stressful.
Even if you don’t have kids at home, perhaps your adult children have kids. Your proactive position can help them, perhaps your neighbors and others, at times of greatest need. Pride can often stop people from asking for help, so look behind the eyes of those who hesitate to accept it.
The price increases will not only hit retail grocers hard, but they will also hit restaurant and industrial food supply companies like Sysco. Food away from home will increase in price, because the food suppliers are all experiencing the same price increases.
Food, fuel and energy price increases will continue to be the most impactful problem into 2022. The problem will compound, because buying offices of the large multinational corporations enter this phase of consumer and commodity squeeze by looking to leverage their size for competitive advantage.
Large multinationals will make advance order purchases today at higher prices. Advanced purchasing becomes a competitive advantage, and they leverage that in the supply chain. The downstream consequence is a material shortage, because the commodity is wiped out, which drives up the price and then those same multinationals execute distribution to a higher profit.
This gaming of inventory for profit, or inventory evaluation/capitalization, is a less discussed outcome of rapid inflation. Multinationals have deep pockets, and they can maximize profits by executing advanced purchase orders to lock in commodity prices. Unfortunately, the little guys have a tough time competing against them when the inventories dry up.
While the examples above all relate to fast turn consumable goods, the same purchasing leverage is used by large corporations on durable goods. Retailers, large and small, then begin competing to secure inventories while supplies are limited; this too drives up prices. It’s a hot mess of competition that squeezes the consumer even harder.
The only thing that stops this process is the inevitable collapse in demand, but that outcome sucks also. In the interim, I hope and pray to have provided y’all with enough advanced notification so that all of us can ride this inflation storm out just a teensy bit better than if we didn’t know it was coming.
All of this was completely avoidable…. THAT makes me angry!
Intentional.
Agenda 21, look at the codex alimentarius. It was implemented in 2009. Softkill through our food.
Dr Rema Laibow. Look into it if you have the eyes to see.

Except it means overcharge, not reset, which is perfect for a KKKlinton.
Next year?
Just one case from a Canadian store, 1 can of tomato paste, no brand. Used to be 60 cents a few months back.
Recently seen for 1 dollar.. That is a 66% increase for some squashed tomatoes. I reckon ketchup doesn’t fare better.
Ketchup is easy to make.
Healtheir and cheaper too
https://thewoodenskillet.com/homemade-ketchup-recipe-5/
Add a little hot water and it’s tomato soup.
If I can’t grow it, make it, store it or afford it, I don’t need it…..
add hunt it too.
Thank you for the link
Thank you Sundance. My husband grew up in the former Jugoslavia, now Serbia, but he knows what having no food meant. He does the grocery shopping and comes home with multiples of everything including tomato paste, Campbell’s Chicken noodle soup, and so much else, except for meat, fruits and vegetables. I often ask him why are you buying so much for the 2 of us, his answer is always it was on sale, so I stock up. Thank the Lord we can do that, he often gives bags of food to our daughter as well. God Bless us all.
That is how my mom operated and taught us kids too, right here in the good old USA. God rest her soul.
Your husband shows the same mindset as did my mom, a child of the so-called Great Depression in the US during the 1930s. I’m glad she passed that shopping / storing / hoarding gene on to me.
That reminds me of a former treeper who commented that his wife grew up in similar circumstances and he just didn’t understand why there was so much toilet tissue stored in their house. I specifically remember his complaint extended to her storage of it in and over top of the cabinets in their kitchen. 😎
Collapse the current economy to build it back better, Globalism, ONE WORLD ORDER.
For those who sit back and watch it happen. For those who are taking action it’ll be much different. Freedomcells dot org and greaterreset dot org
First step towards communism: Destroy what exists.
Had a chance to shop at GO Grocery in the past week. Stocked up on canned goods, jello, and grains/pasta/dried beans at very economical prices. And a year’s supply of hair color…..LOL!
Good idea, Belle; I was just thinking about some highlights (from natural hair products that I can use at home), myself. 😉
😊 Be careful with that. Beautiful hair amongst a population of people with ratty-looking hair may expose you as a prepper. Blend in with the crowd.
Let’s go Brandon!
The plan, spelled out by the WEF. “Build Back Better” (One world Order)
Kleen: Meaningless words and phrases such as “sustainable,” “less equal,” and “more fragile” are nothing but excuses for fleecing taxpayers and offering the donor class opportunities to signal virtue.
The leftist, new world order, global reset crowd has polluted modern discourse with this stuff.
the earth is not sustainable with allowing small groups of people to have power of it IF THEY ARE WILLING TO DECIEVE the masses to accomplish personal goals.
One World Order means that it will no longer matter if you vote democrat or republican. It already does not matter but this change will make it permanent. The same money behind One World Order are the same ones buying up our politicians today.
The same ones pushing the passports to give you your global ID number. The vax is a tool to destroy sovereignty.
it already doesnt matter.
we are just realizing that at different speeds now.
If they are not bought, they are blackmailed or threatened into submission.
Yuup, like the U.N. giving out cash debit cards to illegals OOOPS, I mean migrants. Gotta help them out. Let them buy new cloths so they can look nice when they arrive in the U.S. We need the diversity remember…..\S (this isn’t a joke either, they actually are doing it. Up to $450 or more per family every 6 weeks. Where do you suppose they get the money to buy their food, cloths, transportation etc…..Taxpayers expense it seems. You see, their hard earned money went to pay the folks who smuggled them as far as they got….then the U.N. took over – t o help them out you see……
Geez I don’t think most know what’s headed our way. I do my best to stay stocked up. I’ll make sure to stock up this week.
You’re right, most people have no idea. Keep replenishing.
At my store last week, one woman balked at the total. She didn’t have enough LINK to pay. She complained about the price of chicken wings, and said she’d never have picked them up if she knew they were that ridiculous. She hollered, “I ain’t payin’ that! Put it back!”
First, the price was clearly tagged on them. Second, she wasn’t actually going to pay for them anyway, nor pay the tax. That’s what us little people who work to serve her do.
When people are coddled like pets and treated with freebies, they are not inclined to see these economic factors. Working for an honest living has its advantages, even if one is paid very little.
haha. i think calling people out, and healthy humiliation has destroyed the world.
your comment of “she wasnt actually going to pay for them anyway” is so obvious. there is no humility anymore for some groups wandering amongst us.
Not sure what you mean. I didn’t actually speak with this woman, but heard her loud complaint.
My point was, when somebody brings something up to the register and declares “I ain’t paying that, put it back” when they’re using foodstamps…they’re hollering at the very working people who actually are paying for their purchases.
We have to pay more, too – and are very well aware of the price increases, because we have to work to afford our food.
oh, i thought she was using government free money, and still feeling entitled to boss around workers.
LINK is EBT. (Formerly known as foodstamps.)
I remember when they actually got “food stamps” coupons , somewhere someone decided that it was too “shameful” to present them to cashiers so we went to Debit EBT cards so no one else in line would know that you were using the welfare system.
We need to go back to that, so it MIGHT be easier to see fraud and perhaps report it, not that the government is likely to care.
I have seen people in front of me that have cleaned out the high end steaks and only have steaks. I am guessing they got right out on to the street somewhere to sell them for cash for their “other purchases”.
Now that debit is used it is hard to tell… was it real or was it Memorex?
Far too many have no shame, so it wouldn’t matter. Many openly brag about how much they get.
Yes, there is much fraud, and I’ve seen it all. We frequently have business owners who use EBT to purchase their food for resale. Nothing we can do.
If the gubmint has decided that a restaurant owner deserves EBT, then they can use it to pay for whatever they want, including whole cases of meat. We can’t question it, nor can we prove they’re using it for profit. These people know what they’re doing. You can’t discriminate, and the gubmint has designed it that way.
Hahaha…..as though SHE really WAS paying for that free stuff when it was you and everybody else in line including the cashier who was really paying for it.
I just about flipped out over two illegal families ahead of me in line at Walmart with TWO grocery carts EACH filled to overflowing (all totaled was 4 grocery carts)….took me 45 minutes to get through the line, shaking my head the whole time. The guy in front of me watching the whole scenario turned to me, mumbling under his breath how ridiculous that was.
Turned out he was with Homeland Security….what in the world was he doing in a resort town? But more importantly, what were THEY doing in a resort town????
I’ve never understood the attraction of chicken wings. I’d much prefer a bigger hunk of meat I didn’t have to work at!
How much of this so called “food” is complete crap in the first place. Eat REAL FOOD! fast a couple of times a week. Don’t buy the food that is causing sickness and death in the first place. Big Food, Big Pharma, Big Ed, Big Gov. They are all working together to keep one another in business. Keeping us fat stupid and comfortably numb!! EAT REAL FOOD!!! check out Robert Lustig and Sten Ekberg. YouTube.
Very well said. Eat one meal a day and be sure to take some supplements such as vitamin D3, vitamin K2, magnesium and zinc so as to be immune from the purposely released virus.
Well, we won’t have the choice to eat one meal or 5. The whole goal of these freaks is to have us scrounging for berries, eating crickets and standing in grain lines.
This guy gets it! ^^^^^
Well done sir (or mam)!
Real food is the way to go, but a pantry full of shelf stable junk food just in case is fine with me.
Everything you really need in the grocery store is along the outside wall, usually all the way around. That is typically how I shop. Everything in the middle is mostly processed to one degree or another.
The Country’s heading into its second only era of economic Stagflation, a Democratic specialty. This is going to be rough but like all hardships in life it’s also going to be a blessing in disguise. It’s going to paralyze the Democrats ability to Print money and coopt countries, organizations, and people. We’re not a little banana republic – China’s not going to be able to come along and subsidize their operations.
See, you can’t Print your way out of stagflation, that’s the source of the problem. Biden thinks he can (and all the dumbass bureaucrats) but they can’t (gone to the well too many times). Like I said it’s going to be rough, he’s going to give us a Crash we can’t get out of utilizing Monetary Policy. Another President might be able to utilize some sort of Productivity oriented Work-Fare but mostly it’s going to have to work itself out naturally according to all the Laws of Economics.
That’s where he’s taking the democratic party, Oblivion. And as the consequences of this spill out over the Globe it’s tough to describe how despised Joe Biden and his democratic party are going to be.
Churchill use to warn the rest of the world not to pressure Socialism into the United States because the entire world had become dependent on American productive capacity and generosity. If we fall then there’s no-one to come to the rescue.
All of that fall-out will be blamed directly on the democratic party of America, as it should be for stealing the Election and being the vehicle used for this intrusion. Then they can take their rightful place alongside the other monstrous regime of the 21st century the Chinese communist party (who will fall even faster than us without American support).
You can’t eliminate the Democrat party until you eliminate the dark side of human nature. There is only One who can deal with it.
Greg, so true – terrifying but true. And then I remember: Our only and best and first hope is in God.
GOD helps those who help themselves!!
It isn’t just evil Democrats. Swing state Republicans have become quite comfortable hanging onto their big gov–international corp teats.
Ergo their lack of interest in bogus election results.
Trump threatened their international corp income streams.
Notice Zuckerberg’s bought elections receives zero interest from either Repubs or Dems. The illegal cash filters through both parties by design.
It’s not Biden, he’s brain dead or close to it. Obama, Jarrett and Rice are almost certainly running the country and purposely running it into the ground. They are immune from criticism as dementia Joe is the fall guy who is being blamed for everything they themselves are doing to destroy America.
You know, Racer, I agree we’re not a “little banana republic”… all things taken into consideration, I think we are actually a big one. In every single way. Corruption, bought elections, political prisoners, a collapsed medical system, open borders, government surveillance of the citizenry, unpayable increasing debt. You name it. Yep, BIG one.
i liked it all except “biden thinks he can” the fraud is not in charge, and true, China does not have the deep pockets to prop up the world, they bought our debt that will be worthless when we default.
I agree however I would substitute politician for the word Democrat.
They’re all corrupt lawyers calling themselves politicians.
Inflation has nothing to do with the FED printing $9 trillion dollars for stimulus payments, blue state bailouts, student loan forgiveness, rent moratoriums, payroll protection plans, covid sick pay and extended unemployment benefits etc. all with double digit fraud rates.
Nothing to do with halting drilling on federal land. Not climate change money that was called infrastructure. Not regulations on trucking. No it’s big meat and mac & cheese conglomerates, find something to blame other than what they’ve done.
I’m wondering what the price of gas will be in 2022 now that JB closed our pipeline(s) and is sending LNG and reserves overseas. Any thoughts?
Up……..once the temporary blip of the omnicon slowdown is over.
I recently read an article in the Oil and Gas Journal saying that oil prices might hit 300/barrel next year. Do the math….it ain’t pretty
Remember Obama talked about $7 a gallon gas…
Hmm! ‘One and done’. I’d agree with you if it meant one term and he’s enacting his agenda, but at his current trajectory he’ll be lucky to have one year and done what? If he falls any faster people will start asking more and more questions about why he is not pivoting, but ploughing on regardless and if they get the feeling he’s just a puppet….
People might dislike politicians but they’re quite accomodating to them as long as they do not directly affect their lives, inflation does just this. If the Obiden’s continue to maintain course and ignore the polls they risk stoking a fearful revenge from voters.
Look at the cabinet. It is a freak show. I have low to no expectation that those fools would try to use the 25th to get Biden out then quickly lose their jobs. Kamala likely has her own ideas about the people she would want in her cabinet.
And there is no guarantee that she wouldn’t be much worse.
Here in NE Florida we saw this coming after the election was stolen. I planted a large winter garden (we have two growing seasons here) and fixed up our large unused chicken house for some new egg laying occupants. I have also dusted off my numerous fishing poles and crab traps. It’s not a lot but it’s a way to fight back.
Loved the movie Cross Creek
Good for you. I’m glad to see some folks paying attention.
Well I’ve got no shortage of eggs from my hens, garden plot prepped and seeds bought for spring and getting ready for starting up our meat rabbits.
Just picked up an All American 941 pressure canner for the summer and fall harvest and have been dehydrating excess eggs from the layers.
Got 6 months of dried goods just in case.
Need to pick up some perlite and peat for seed starting and some more canning jars and lids but I’ll get to that.
If you haven’t already, let’s get to this folks! We’re Americans after all!
Suggestion: bicycles are a cheap way to get around more quickly than walking
Oh we have those. We’re gonna be lookin to get horses though. If I can get my hands on a wagon and train em then transportation is pretty well handled if things go south. Always wanted to run a team. 😆
The Amish manage perfectly well with horses and carts/buggies
Impressive people. We could learn from them. I hope we can still afford to buy bread from them cause I’m not a baker and wow is theirs’ good!?
Moved to a 12 acre plot in rural Tennessee right after I discovered what bath-house Barry actually meant by “fundamentally transform America”. Got an AA 941 and a presto canner and learned to use them. Bought about 12 dz canning jars with extra lids. You can re-use the jars but not always the lids. Be sure to get a Ball or Kerr book on canning. It’s really quite simple and if you do it (and store it) correctly food will last for years.
Get at least 1 vacuum sealer, and plenty of rolls of freezer bag material. Out here there lots of small family farms that are more than willing to sell their excess harvest at reasonable prices. Some of our friends raise chickens and usually have extra eggs. Learn how to bake your own bread; home made soups, and you can make your own beef and chicken broth by boiling the bones.
Dried beans, flour, white sugar,. brown and powdered sugar.
Started baking bread again a couple years back. Haven’t bought any for a long long time. Maybe it was about the time O said he was gonna transform u s…..I may be old, but I’m still able to learn. How does one dehydrate eggs? Have got 2 dehydrators and need to use them more. I’ve been doing old frozen veggies and fruits as well.
Johnny Reb,
Look into getting a freeze dryer. That is the best way to store a lot of foods since, properly bagged and stored in a cool place, freeze dried foods will last 25 years. Canning and dehydrating are good, but for really long term storage, freeze drying is the way to go.
Fertilizer is going to be a problem this year. I don’t use the chemical fertilizers and want to work with natural ones.
I ordered ten comfrey roots and planted them on some family land, not at my house. Comfrey is supposed to be useful as a fertilizer. Somebody gave me the bones from 4 deer. Those will be used for phosphorus.
The loggers left quite a bit of tree debris lying on the ground. Now will be a good time for me to practice making biochar. I have a lactobacillus serum in progress. That will be used to activate the biochar and accelerate the compost pile that is coming very soon when I run a hedge through my new mulcher.
The earthworms are doing well. My greenhouse is in my crosshairs for repair and cleaning after being off my list for 6-7 years. For cover crops, Daikon radishes, crimson clover, and turnips are slowly coming along.
Seeds are here. More are coming. New trees are waiting to go into the ground. Most of the bare root strawberries have been potted.
I hope the nursery where I bought some of the new trees has not sold out of their coffee bushes. I need to try to grow my own coffee. Otherwise, what would be the point of getting up if there was no coffee to be had?
I read that some farmers plant peanuts and then plough the plants and nuts into the ground for nitrogen
This is what will save the United States. Other countries don’t have the where/with/all to see that they can care for themselves and their families. Mainly because the U.S. has always helped take care of them when they couldn’t or wouldn’t. The Americans have got the guts to do what needs to be done…..Why do you suppose America is such a great country…..It certainly ain’t because of the government……only because of the people.
That AA 941 is a beast. I’d get a supply of re-usable lids like Tattlers if I was you. It was so nice with the canning lid shortage recently to have a good stock of them!
There might be a small silver lining in some of this foreboding news. People feel economic hardship more keenly, but they also rally with family and community quickly. They cut unnecessary expenses quickly as well – cable, extra phones, new technology – services that bring a lot of divisive propaganda into the home. I hope we all grow closer through this coming crisis.
I did see a decal on the fuel pump…a little B-B-B-Biden pointing at the price and saying in the caption; “I did That”!
81million votes…huh?
A house in Port St Lucie has a “Let’s Go Brandon” flag on their flagpole. Love it!
I’ve seen those flags here and many teeshirts with “Let’s Go Brandon” on their backs.
Still gonna search for that Sundance article which was lauding the ingenuity of Americans and how they/we can get stuff done when nobody else can. It was great!
Aggiegirl,
I last week saw a house with an unexpurgated “F*** Biden! And f*** YOU for voting for him!” 3′ x 6′ flag out front. I looked at that and thought there will be a lot of people who will criticize that man for being crude. My thinking was that I would gladly shake his hand for flying it. What happened on November 3 was a vicious, evil crime against this country and Americans SHOULD be angry about it. Lord knows you’ve got to be blind to not see the damage that fraudulent election did to our country, and even Tommy from “Pinball Wizard” can see where we are rapidly headed. If crude language is as bad as it needs to get to clean up the abuse of 2020, we will have escaped incredibly lightly from an existential threat to our freedom.
I made lentil soup tonight, turkey chili last night, all with exception of turkey with GOYA. a win all around.
I made a smoothie today with Goya frozen mango pulp and raw milk purchased at a dairy.
‘Twas tasty.
Please allow me to beat my drum again about the PRIME Act. This is Rep. Thomas Massie’s bill to allow meat that has been butchered at state inspected facilities rather than USDA inspected facilities to be sold in cuts within the confines of the particular state.
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/3835?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22prime+act%22%2C%22prime%22%2C%22act%22%5D%7D&s=1&r=1
Farmers and ranchers are having to book appoints a year ahead to take a beef animal to be processed. They can choose to have the cuts, but they cannot sell them. They can sell their animals to a USDA facility, but they have no pricing power. Apparently, farmers and ranchers are being paid feedlot prices for grassfed animals. The farmers and ranchers are not the ones making the money.
The state of Texas is fully capable of providing a worthwhile inspection framework without the federal government being involved. The smaller (boutique) meat processing businesses are not the same as industrial plants.
The local Krogers chronically has empty spaces in the meat section while farmers and ranchers are virtually regulated out of the market. This store cannot be the only one with high meat prices and skimpy selections.
It is time to lean on sitting congressmen from both parties to insist that the PRIME Act be moved along. The bill has bipartisan support so should not be allowed to languish in subcommittee and die without a hearing. Make it an issue now and make it a campaign issue for the candidates, incumbent and otherwise.
No meat is part of the depopulation and climate change evils. Australia will supposedly ration meat products to 5g or so a day per person. One bite. Gates has bought up lots of farmland. He also paid farmers more money to destroy their crops than they’d get selling them. Soros has bought up lots of water rights. Starving us. Dehydrating us. Like 3rd world countries. The elite have planned this for so many years. They sit in their multimillion mansions, yachts, etc and eat filet mignon. Then laugh at us scrounging for bugs or standing line for a bite of meat. What happens to a body when chronically deprived of protein, I wonder?
… it dies and is consumed by those grubs they’ll have you eating any day now
Still think Gates is the AntiChrist. Right now he’s a blight on humanity.
Why can’t Texas just do it and tell the feds to pound sand?
If Texas went to war alone against the USDA, there could be much pain. It would be easy to imagine the federal school lunch program and/or crop insurance and/or the federal contribution to SNAP being threatened or pulled away.
If state and local politicians could be brought into alignment with the goals of the PRIME Act, they could help to reinforce the message to the congressmen. The ag commissioner candidates need to be questioned at their townhalls.
Right now, Massie has a good bill that has attracted support. It needs to be given the subcommittee hearing and be voted out of committee so that it can go to the floor for a vote. Nanzi won’t call up the bill for a floor vote unless she is sure the bill will pass. The bill needs some cheerleading from the grassroots and the states. If Nanzi can see a way to pass it and claim victory for the Dems, she just might agree to let it pass in the House.
Epoch Times also just put out an article that if there was any bottoming out of gas prices, it is OVER. BRACE YOURSELVES for much more pain at the pump!
Intend to top off the cars before New Years Day.
This is depressing.
This is true. A lot of China’s crops were wiped out in the floods this year and last. Add the fertilizer shortage to the mix and food will become scarce next year. China is ahead of the curve.
See also IceAgeFarmer here
😂 I think we could help China lose a lot of weight if uhh we didn’t ship them out grains and foods.
Then agin they own some of our beef and probably a few chicken plants in the USA
Hmmmmm👀🧐
they already solved they problem with “covid”
the Global oligarchs just hijacked it to get some control over their citizens.
the china muslim “problem” is dissapearing to where You and I will not even talk about them in a year.
Muslim soylent green
A friend of mine visited there yrs ago and saw baby fetuses being eaten
We all know they eat anything that moves
Ice Age Farmer is excellent. Thanks.
Words of Wisdom, to be sure. Get Prepared in your cupboard, yard, garden ,shop, and anywhere, but get Prepared.
Just before Chritsmas I was shopping for a few items for the long weekend and got into a discussion with a gentleman restocking items for his company. He worked for Nabisco. We discussed inflation pressure in the markets. He told me that they had an EOY (end of year) regional meeting where they were told that prices would be MUCH higher starting in the first quarter of 2022. The Reason? Nabisco had entered into a contract a year ago to sell 350 million bushels of wheat to China and now had to fulfill their contract. With a lower output in wheat in the last 12 months, it cost them much more to fulfill, and it shorted their ability to produce economically their own shelf products.
So…if you are buying Nabisco products, stock up NOW, because they are going up, but will be relatively better-priced for a short time.
China is playing the l-o-o-o-o-n-g game, and just announced that they have sufficient grain stockpiles for 1-1/2 years of food. They have to feed the people or lose control. They know that their purchasing power will get them suckers who will sell their own reserves for a quick buck.
Brandon is going to do stagflation. LGB.
The Jimah Carter family is ecstatic at how good Biden is making him look.
Per a Canadian trucker @2:45 starting in January unvaxed can’t cross the border with their loads, which he says will affect 15% of our various products.
evidently, you and I watch the same channels.
I watch his channel too over on Odysee. YT doesn’t deserve the clicks.
Thanks for the tip.
Yes we do. Someone posted the vids here a long time ago (maybe you) and I’ve watched them ever since. Good channels.
“Large multinationals will make advance order purchases today at higher prices. Advanced purchasing becomes a competitive advantage, and they leverage that in the supply chain.“
Anyone can buy a forward contract through the CBOT, which “locks in” a commodity price. Bakeries buy wheat options. These give the bakery the right to buy/sell the underlying contract.
If grain contracts were to rise beyond the strike price, the the option holder would profit by the difference between the delivery price and the option price.
This means the smaller manufacturers can get price protection just like the big guys.
Depends on the contract size. Some those contracts are for a lot more than a small manufacturer would use and would tie up a lot of capital.
The Federal Reserve plan to do nothing to hold the government accountable for inflation by keeping 10 year bonds at under 2%. 10 year bonds under Carter was above 10%.
See the video I linked below. Gerorge Gammon talks about real interest rates in the 70’s and Nixon’s price controls. It very interesting and something to definitely ponder. Jerome Powell would have to raise interest rates at least 700 basis points to combat inflation, that ain’t gonna happen.
If you lived through Jimmy Carter; you can live through this.
We did it with 2 kids, 1 car, 1 income, and a paycheck twice a month.
Our kids were healthy, we were healthy, and dealt with the gas lines and the huge increases in coffee, sugar and everything in between…but we did it.
Stay tough and do not comply.
Brandon is evil. I don’t think Jimah is.
True that!
Brandon is bad, but his handlers are evil.
Great post.
IMO this may be a good thing.
We eat well always have done.
Soups,Stews, Fresh Veggies, and a few fruits.
Making bread is easy.
10lbs of quality Basmati rice was on sale last week for $8.49 ( Can) $7.00 ( U.S.) approx.
That goes along way..
Walk more, drive less, and if possible insure only one vehicle.
Our sons 30 and 32 are getting better, but they have only known “free money” near zero rates for much of their working life.
As a result they are in for a few surprises.
Some of us here saw 21% mortgages around 1981. Canada Savings bonds ( insured) paid 19% 😟 per annum at around that time.
Who knows, maybe we will be there again in a few years.
Dekester, I worked for the Bank back then, saw grown strong men with families cry as they had to sell their homes could not afford the rates at that time. On the other hand since the government was limiting the bond sales to $15000 a person at 19% there was huge line ups for people buying under the children, family names. I jokingly said to one customer you can’t use your dogs and cats names s/. Five year GIC’s were at 19 to 19.5%, they were being bought up as well. You now the saying, someone else’s misfortune is another’s fortune. My heart went out to the hard working with well paying jobs too and still one income could not do it. Lets go Trudope!!! Not sure if the PM at that time was Justine’s father Pierre Elliott or Ly’n Brian Mulrooney.
The next time you watch a show or film set in the ’70s, pay special attention to the background and conditions.
That’s where the train’s goin’. … .. and we’re all aboard!
Our background and conditions were pretty damn nice…so, that’s okay with me!
Hmmm, he has an interesting argument. Also, there’s a clip of Thomas Sowell talking about price controls.
I wouldn’t put this option out of JoeBama’s arsenal of stupid stuff he might do.
Good video. Reminds me of what I’ve already been through once before! Rinse, repeat. At least treepers are informed and prepared. Happy New year 2022 Eric. Hope we all survive then next onslaught.
They printed 20% more money, dat’s why. You can thank the Demoncrap Moe Bitem.
Y’all have a good night !👍👊 I enjoy reading the comments here! Not all but 99 percent .😝🇺🇸
It is strategy to increase prices and greater inflation. Win-win for them but lost for us.
We celebrated Christmas dinner with our usual steaks and baked potatoes this year as in years past. Last year the bill came to around $32 for two 8oz filets and two double stuffed potatoes at our local butcher shop.
This year, $40 for just the steaks. We didn’t get the double stuffed potatoes. Bought two plain ones at Publix. We’re retired, and like most retirees, on a fixed income. Next Christmas will probably be ramen noodles.

This will be an eye opener for those millennials and GenX’s. I believe many will rethink their position of supporting the Democrat Party.
They will double down on the Democrats. The brainwashed fools have no commonsense.
Nope, they will blame it on Trump!
I buy packs of chicken hearts and gizzards and boil them for my 2 dogs. I’ve been buying packs from anywhere from $1.50- 2.10 range depending on the size. They are pretty much considered junk meat, not too many people eat that. To my surprise when I went to grab some yesterday at the store the packs are now $3.50 to $3.80 range ! Hell no.
Feed dogs cooked fresh pumpkin!
Put these corporations out of business! Don’t ever buy any of these again!
Pass the Grey Poupon.
…are you insane!?
You know how much that stuff costs?
I get it at the discount grocery… for 50 cents a jar. It’s fine for over a year after it’s best buy date!
You wish.
Shop sales, and stock up…but dont hoard!
I previously noted:
1. Dollar Store- up 25%.
2. My contact lense increase at Costco – up 25%.
3. Vietnamese deli -sandwich price constant, size reduced 30-40%.
4. McDonald’s coffee – up 50%.
Biden / The Swamp will blow away Jimmy Carters numbers.
Consider the future costs of Democrat enabled, smash and grab looting. A LOT of retail stores will be closing. The survivors will be fortifying with either on line sales or maximum security counters with teller windows where you ask a clerk to pick your order. Looters will move on to the soft targets, meaning trucks. Add 50¢ per mile for a guard to ride shotgun with the driver. Warehouses will be fortified. Local stores will have sallyports around the loading dock.
Remember, Soylent Green is people!
Or they will be grab and run with meat at grocery stores
already happening at a local grocery store – only they’re grabbing liquor.
5-6 incidents in last couple of months.
targeting ‘burbs where police presence unlikely.
getting tired of imported crime.
Lots of folks claim we’re headed for a civil war; I say the war has already started, but only 1 side is fighting.
Every thing is free. You just have to get in the right line. Or be the right color.
Stunningly insightful, tax2much
I salute you!
Thanks for this @Sundance. This is why the wise will look for ways to produce (or at a minimum source) their own raw goods and manufacture their own products wherever possible. A backyard garden is a great place to start. Onions don’t cost any more in time and effort to grow even when the dollar is inflating into the stratosphere. How’s that for an inflation proof, tax proof opportunity?
A recession may be preferable to a hyperinflationary cycle
FWIW I work for a major global rice and sauce manufacturer – we raised prices about 8% across the world effective in January. Company needed to at least double this to cover all the inflation, so no hiring, travel, spending for first quarter – then reevaluate… You can bet on minimum added 5% in July (likley to be 10%)
Son works for one of the largest beer companies in USA. Contracts are up about 10% across the product line. They had a great 2021, so can absorb some of the inflation. However, I predict a mid year increase for them as well (and basically evey other item in grocery store)
In 30-60 days, the whole country will have received a wake up call…folks, it’s about to get bad. My family, and many like us made it through the late 70’s early 80’s….that was bad…this is going to be worse. Think about what is important, focus on it. Food, shelter, the basics that”s it…..do what you have to to get thru,…..and…remember your neighbor!
This will pass and we will prosper…and learn….god speed to all.
Start cooking from scratch, and plant seeds! Even if you just grow a few peppers and toms, you save a lot of money, and they are very easy to grow.
My View-DONT BUY ANY OF THIS PACKGED AND PRE MADE CRAP
Full of preservatives and chemicals
Make your own-ketchup, pudding etc the way your grandma used to make them
Buy the raw ingedients from your local neighbourhood market
Much healthier
I’m self employed in the HVAC field and I’ve been getting “price increase” notifications for over a year from the supply houses I deal with. March of 2021 a 30 gallon electric water heater cost me 411 and change. November 2021 that same exact water heater cost me 693. The Feds are downplaying this and then later on they will claim it was an unexpected downturn, blah blah. They try to act like we are stupid and they are super smart, yet they keep hiding the truth when it happens then slowly slide in the truth later when nobody is listening. I think we’d have better luck with a congress lottery system, lol!
I am sure the Heinz Corp is planning on passing their 20% on to the Uyghurs! Boycott Heinz!

God time to adjust our diets, while keeping costs down. Processed foods are more expensive and less healthy. Dry beans and rice have incredible versatility, as so Latin and Asian-style recipes which include small amounts of meat, rather than a serving of meat. 20 lbs of beans and 50 lbs of rice can produce a lot of meals when you use veggies, meats and sausages, and spices. A slow cooker is cheap. Don’t forget that eggs can be added for richness and flavor, as well as great nutrition. In other words, change your diet. Save money and eat healthier.
