Reuters is reporting on an interesting dynamic within the vaccine mandate as it pertains to Amtrak. Reading between the lines tells us something very specific about this vaccine mandate that we have discussed here, and it’s starting to show.
The article itself points to how Amtrak is suspending their vaccine mandate as a result of the federal courts blocking enforcement of any mandate pending litigation. From their perspective as a federal contractor, Amtrak is now in a position to cease the vaccine requirement until the legal issues are resolved. However, there’s an element touched upon that needs to be considered.
First the article (the emphasis is mine):
WASHINGTON, Dec 14 (Reuters) – U.S. passenger railroad Amtrak said on Tuesday it will temporarily suspend a vaccine mandate for employees and now no longer expects to be forced to cut some service in January. In a memo seen by Reuters, Amtrak Chief Executive Bill Flynn said the railroad would allow employees who were not vaccinated to get tested.
Currently, fewer than 500 active Amtrak employees are not in compliance. Last week, the railroad told Congress it anticipated “proactively needing to temporarily reduce some train frequencies across our network” because of the mandate.
Flynn said 95.7% of Amtrak’s 17,000 employees are either fully vaccinated or have an accommodation — and including employees with one dose 97.3% of employees are in compliance.
Amtrak cited a U.S. district court decision that halted the enforcement of President Joe Biden’s executive order mandating vaccines for federal contractors by January. “This caused the company to reevaluate our policy and to address the uncertainty about the federal requirements that apply to Amtrak,” the memo said. (read more)
Let’s cut through some politically correct corporate speech and media spin, and instead focus on a few key aspects:
First, the cause of the operational change, a frequency change in Amtrak service, was specifically admitted to be due to the vaccine mandate. This is EXACTLY the opposite of the White House claim earlier today (see below). The vaccine mandate was the cause of the operational change. Amtrak admits this – the White House refutes this.
Second, a reduction of 500 non-vaccinated people amid a company payroll exceeding 17,000, to the extent that the reduction actually changes the operational service of the company, tells us the unvaccinated people were specifically critical to the service the company provides.
This second point gets to the heart of a thesis we have proposed before. It’s not an issue of how many people, or what percentage, quit over a vaccine requirement. It’s a more specific issue of WHO those people are and what they do.
In any organization, there are people critical to the operation and people not so critical.
In a cumbersome top-heavy organization, that relies upon government largess and subsidy to operate, employment is bloated beyond what is efficient. I have long stated that the key group of most productive people, the very critical group for efficient operation, are a small subset of the total company employment.
I would bet, and it is essentially admitted by the statement from Amtrak, that a much higher percentage of the critical workers are refusing the vaccine than exist in the total employment ranks. The most productive and critical employees within any organization are independent minded, dependable and capable of a much larger influence than the average person. It is inside that core group of highly critical employees where effects from a vaccine mandate refusal makes the biggest impact.
As a result, the issue for any mandate is not the percentage of compliance overall, but rather how those very critical employees respond to the mandate.
There can be a specific skillset or duty needed in an organization, even a massive organization, that is only being done by a handful of specifically skilled people. If those people stop working, the effect on the entire organization is far beyond scale. In some instances, even in large organizations, that handful of people can shut down the entire operation if they do not perform their job(s).
500 out of 17,000 is only 3%,… yet that 3% were obviously critical enough to the operation of Amtrak in such a scale as the organization was planning to modify it’s entire operation due to their absence. This fact points as evidence to the theory that the most critical blue-collar people inside every organization carry a tremendous amount of clout when it comes to this vaccine mandate.
It’s not a matter of how many refuse the mandate, it’s an issue of who they are.
The blue-collar effort to bolster the resistance by these brothers and sisters in freedom, does not have to be too massive to have an impact. Remember, almost all of the leftists and elite-minded communists, who now operate as Democrats, have no capacity for self-sufficiency. If the working class stops picking up their trash, stops mowing their lawns, shopping for them, doing their cleaning and essentially facilitating their lives, this entire group of people cannot function.
If the always dependable shift-worker who never misses a day of work; the person who is always dutiful, diligent, trustworthy and can solve problems independently; the person who goes the extra mile and is proactive in planning their responsibilities, does not show up with the keys to be the switch operator, well, then the switch doesn’t get operated. And, that person is very hard to replace.
Remember, the part where Amtrak said the change in service schedules was due to the vaccine? Well, here’s the White House denying the change in Amtrak services was caused by the vaccine. WATCH:
From a commonsense and logistical perspective, regardless of the federal outlook, there’s no way they can pull it off. We are the quiet, and according to those who look down their noses – the “invisible” unwashed masses. However, when it comes to keeping the gears turning, we are the majority.
We keep their shit working and just want to be left alone. The system will not function if tens-of-millions of American workers stand united against the vaccine mandate. It really is that simple.
Everyone has to say “enough” or this madness will continue. The ballot box cant be relied on at this point. People have to stand United against this abuse of power.
ENOUGH
This “abuse of power” is actually criminal activity and as such those committing crimes are vulnerable to arrest and prosecution and punishment — legitimately so, IAW Constitution’s provisions for rights and provision for the “protector of rights” at the level of Militia if needed.
Its needed.
How many of those forced out of the military due to the forced jabs will decide to join local and State militias?
More then a few I suspect by June.
If not sooner than June (IMO) — I’m looking at vet and retiree environment regionally (including law enforcement) and see it reasonable to ad “if not sooner”!
The ruling class worries not, they continue to remind us they have planes and nukes.
They just may have nobody left who knows how to work them. Oops.
They are getting really nervous.
It’s almost as if there’s an invisible hand at work.
Sometimes I even think the stolen election has a silver lining–it stiffened the backbone of our side, focused our attention and anger, and hardened our resistance.
The tone of comments is so much different than a year or two ago.
Let’s just say that we may not be “woke” be we’ve certainly woken up. Hallelujah.
God works in mysterious ways. That’s one of the best reasons not to succumb to despair. You may think you can see a direct path from where we are today right to hell but things come out of left field quite regularly.
Why do I get the feeling that their whole liberal paradigm/fake reality is crumbling right before our eyes?
It’s like just before the fall E. Germany or the Soviet Union. Nobody actually believes the government and its media. Some will still go through the motions as if they do because their position and $ depend on maintaining the system.
Sorry, down she goes.
This will be my second change of Establishment. I remember when the conservative establishment collapsed in the 1960. Now 60 years on, the liberal Establishment is teetering, a victim of its success, and now a bloated wheezing carcass of a movement.
Find me a legit Fidel enthusiast in Cuba. The lefties certainly had their day and their profound influence on the culture can’t be understated. But every dog has his day and this dog is feeling frisky.
I think I”m finally beginning to see that election steal or not, we’re going to end up where we’re supposed to,just by a different route.
It’s the special forces type that the lefties need to worry about, they are independent thinkers, and many will be ejected from the forces.
Agree! I am up to here with repeated promises to bust open electoral fraud and………crickets. Not even Trump can fix this.
Find an idiot like this guy in New Zealand.
He was charged with getting at least 10 jabs in one day for people that didn’t want the jab themselves, but wanted to participate in society.
😂🤣🤣
The poor and stupid are always the hardest hit by libtard policies.

And as for that red-headed bimbo … whatever planet she’s on has no bearing on the reality of this planet, where facts have a way of sticking it to the feeble-minded liberals and where it’s all crashing down upon their silly little empty heads.
Are you referring to Peppermint Patty, who smooths her hair every 90 seconds?
Haha, I misread “smooths her brain every 90 seconds”. I mean that would work too, she is a smooth brain for sure.
Let’s just compromise and call her a hair brain.
She isn’t hair brain she is a bald faced liar and has no reservation about saying whatever idiotic excuse they give for anything.
hare brained????Hop to it:-))))
Peppermint Batty was the reference today.
Peppermint Commie, as Kane calls her.
*chef’s kiss*
That’s a female distraction thing, they love to do it (especially if they are nervous).
Leon – These facts of which you speak….. tell me more 🙂
I sure hope that come next year that 3% are the only ones alive or fit to work.
NASTY
Bob apparently didn’t get the memo that our overlords are trying to divide us. Ridiculous.
i like bob.
…don’t know much about Snellville.
sounds nasty.
Based on what I’ve read about the long term (3-5 years) effects of the vaccine, the unvaxxed will be the only ones healthy enough to work by then. Everyone else will be suffering from severe cases of hypertension, heart disease and cancer.
…and it will be your responsibility to support them through higher taxes.
Not if we secede.
A “responsibility or obligation” that is IMPOSSIBLE to support/fulfill will not be supported fulfilled.
Plan accordingly.
Agreed. I fully expect to see the Social Security/Medicare system collapse and the fedgov renege on their promises.
32 years ago my high school economics teacher told us two truths – people respond to incentives and nobody other than him in the classroom that day would ever receive social security.
It is the dismal science. 🤣
That’s gotta be part of the reason they’re doing this.
Oh, that definitely is why genocide is part of the mix. The boomer generation could easily afford to send off their own parents in grand style. But they forgot to have their own children, to afford them the same comforts of retirement.
Social security and Medicare are a pyramid scheme, and our treasury is grossly underfunded.
So yes, the boomers were left high and dry. But we’ve always been a scrappy bunch. President Trump showed us how it’s done.
‘America first’ lifts all boats. We may be down, but we are certainly *not* out for the count.
Great, just as I’ll finally be cashing in on SS. I guess there’s always another burned out Winnebago available.
This is why the illegals are not required to be vaxxed. They’re going to be the worker bees for the dimwit dems.
That might work if the taxes paid by migrant workers covered their own entitlements. But since multinational corporations have no intention of ever paying them (or anyone else) a living wage, taxpayer subsidies eat up much more than these migrants can ever pay into the system.
Hence, we mandate poison death shots to thin the herd by a few billion. What’s not to like? /s
We will see, I seriously doubt that it will be so broad brushed. Snellville is WISHING FOR THE DEATHS OF 16,500 PEOPLE. Very low.
another: I hate that idea but I have to agree with you. Well-said.
No one actually knows what will happen to people who took the first two shots in 3-5 years. Pure supposition.
I hope and pray that Rand Paul was right and the shots are just to train everyone to comply. Plenty are waking up now that it’s time for jabs 3&4 and bringing the kids for theirs.
Some of the old folks I know weren’t counting on being around another 5 years, anyway. They sure didn’t want to get the coof and die on a ventilator, separated from their loved ones. Their version of “right to try,” which I fully support.
Others have had no choice. I wish them well. (Except for the commies, marxists, fascists, and other haters.)
Billions of *pathogenic* spike proteins floating around the bloodstream. Micro-clot formations detected by D-Dimer blood tests in 60 percent of vaxxed patients. Graphene (Hydr)oxide razor blades that never biodegrade, Hydra microorganisms that never die, Luciferase bioluminescent blood markers..
..It’s not looking good.
You mean those that aren’t dead.
Or be dead
Maybe, but I think the human body will be able to clear the ‘vaccine’ after a year or so. I did not get the jab based on math and science. There seems to be at least as great a risk to the mandated drugs as the disease itself.
Most people who get the shot will be okay, but it is unacceptable for anyone to be coerced into take any drug, experimental or not.
The human body can’t “clear” myocarditis. It’s permanent, and often deadly within 5 years.
Not everyone who got the jab will get myocarditis. Some will get cancer and/or a myriad of other things that can be just as debilitating.
Some will be lucky and get a placebo.
If what I have read by 1/2 is right you may get your wish
No Bob.

OMG! If you read nothing else read this!
I have read everything in this article elsewhere but never as condensed and concise.
It’s interesting to note that I actually met someone here at the tree house and he came over my house and met my family ,we had a great visit , it was my new tree house buddy who sent me the link on my phone that I shared here 😃 , I too thought it was very informative
Thanks Yappy… another reason this is my favorite website… Excellent and Informative article!!
My pleasure 😃
for those that need a quick refresher.
SARS-Cov-1 (2003) had a short incubation (3-6 days) with a short latent period (subtle difference between infected and then INFECTIOUS).
SARS-Cov-1 (2003) had a high mortality rate of about 15-30 percent (historians disagree, but its generally accepted these are the min max.)
the point is that SARS-Cov-1: if exposed you are going to get sick pretty quickly and everyone is going to notice. That immediately allows adults to start mitigating that from spreading. And because you can see where the people are in a good contact tracing..you can literally remove the FUEL from the virus….you reduce the number of people who can be exposed to those most likely to be exposed….lock downs.
in every scenario this was demonstrated effective in shunting the hotspots into a worldwide pandemic. The very weakness of this virus is that it could not incubate for a long period of time.
What changed with SARS -C0v-2 (cccp19)?
longer incubation…far less mortality…but that longer incubation period is now a strength for this particular bug. This ccp19 has bioweapon capabilities…poor error checking about the N and S ….blazing fast speed in which it has transmitted apparently by asymptomatic people…long incubation no longer means the infectious (transmitting capability) is delay. This explains the vast number of mutations also, which is unprecidented outside of theoretical biology even in this virus field. It’s astonishing. All the “defects” of SARS-Cov-1 (2003) are solved with this new novel bat base chimera. All you need is a booster like mRNA to cause the virus to gain function about the efficiency for it to immune escape.
how did that happen?
that is the trillion tonne red eyed vein popping gorilla pacing around the room ready to go godzilla.
it was the result of bioweapon grade experimental lab….
it was leaked to cause a major crisis around the world.
it was engineered to work best with mRNA as a booster. (it is NOT anything at ALL about a vaccine)
all this was done intentionally.
a. to steal an election where one person stood in the way of mega corporations and mega elite class billionaires….each of them saw President Trump as the most immediate existential threat to their current power and future power.
b. To finally control the market globally. All markets. Big and small. ALL. State owned, operated, with private owners… You will be rewarded your measure of freedom and liberty commencerote to your proven record of obeying the state and complying with their every demands that you behave in a different way. The cccp19 mRNA jab is the conditioning and sentiment out on the global stage and at mainstreet ….comply…obey…comply…obey…here is right thing..here is wrong thing. here is right thoughts …her are wrong thoughts. here is a good fulfilling life…here is misery and hopelessness….here are the nice people…here are the deplotables.
valids
invalids.
this is where this is all headed.
from the humble beginnings in a lab in china, funded by the top science advocacy panel at the NIH, a equisitely subtle and still very dangerou bat base corona chimera….getting supercharged and renewed by mRNA.
Love the killroy thing. I still see it from time to time
Sounds like that 3% were exactly the ones that Galt would be seeking.

The first line of the Summary:
The “3.5% rule” refers to the claim that no government has withstood a challenge of 3.5%of their population mobilized against it during a peak event….
That is a keeper.
Going to have to download the paper through that link to read later.
I like it.
” I am a Three-Percenter! “
Remind me again if I am wrong, but I believe it started as 3% of MA revolutionaries that mounted the fight against the British in 1775. That actually turned out pretty well!
What kind of “challenge?” Countries have been protesting and marching for 22 months! Nothing has changed for them!
How do we know that only 3% didn’t get the jab? It could actually be more like 25%, and they were hoping more people would cave because everyone else took it. They have certainly lied about the numbers before.
Could very well be the case given that they have motives to downplay the exact numbers.
The point still stands that some of the most productive and irreplaceable employees are refusing the jabs with the corresponding effects on Amtrak’s ability to operate. That much is certain.
I am a 3 percenter…of a different kind:
From Joe Biden’s anecdote archives:
Angelo Negri: You know how many miles you traveled on Amtrak, Joey?
Joe Biden: No.
Angelo: The boys and I figured it out … ‘You travel 2,200,000 miles.
Hurrah! Amtrak is finally able to restore “train frequencies”.
Amtrak service was temporarily suspended until they replaced all the worn-out rails linking Delaware to Washington, D.C. 😏
And some people say dead men tell no tales. Silly rabbits….
Great post!
It was the constant pushing that initially turned me from a vaccine agnostic to a skeptic and then a denier. As evidence of the correctness of my position continues to mount, I do not see any reason to give in now.
I was originally an open-minded skeptic. Now I’m almost certain that they are trying to kill us all.
Now I’m almost certain that they are trying to kill us all.
Yeah, either that or … something or other. Whatever, it ain’t good.
Either kill us or turn us into their transhuman slaves. Ping our graphene (hydr)oxide-riddled brains off their 5G technology updates to control our thoughts. Scan our glowing Luciferase blood markers to control our movements.
The Bible warns that the end times will be so horrific that the survivors will envy the dead.
I have worked in industrial maintenance for over 40 years. One of the most important people is the person that empties the garbage can every night. This person will be missed long before any executive or manager.
Another important person is the one that adjusts the thermostats and keeps the HVAC working. These people are there every shift every day. The walk a route that checks possibly hundreds of thermometers and other readings and make adjustments based on those readings.
In manufacturing, some of the most important people are the fork lift operators. Without them, the work stations get no material, trucks are not unload and product does not get shipped.
These are mostly invisible and low paid people, but without them the operation comes to a stop. Add the maintenance people, production operators and other productive workers, and the core of what makes a company money will be obvious. Many of the people that get a check are controls that do nothing productive, they manage the people that do the work. There are paper movers. If they take a day off, nothing happens. In fact, every Friday these people stop about noon and do not get up and running until around 1 pm on Monday. Yet, the plant knocks out production all weekend long. They eventually will need to move their papers along, but a three day absence does not slow the operation even a bit.
There used to be an owner of a major company in the business that I was in that would plan an annual trip for the managers in the company. He would take them on a train trip and they would have a series of meetings. One thing he would always emphasize is that while the entire management of the company was on the train, the company was still running, it was still making product, it was still getting shipped. The managers had only one job. They had to decide when to spend the company profits to buy tools and materials for the employees to use. The employees generally told them which tools and materials they needed. He told them theirs was a job that had to be done, but it was far from the most important. Being the highest paid did not make it the most important.
I witnessed the same at various military reservations as one of the civilian elves that kept the wheels turning whilst the brass hats played golf and enlisted played cards.
Just ask any older New Yorker. When the sanitation workers went on strike in 1968, not only did the trash pile up on city streets, the city’s population of large rats (not politicians but the 4-footed furry kind with long tails) had a field day/weeks/month. Here is a bit of history about it:

The Dirty Fingernails crew has been here for us all along and they deserve our thanks and respect. Instead, they get spit on.
Excellent post.Thanks.
Work at a large well known nonprofit. We are already experiencing staffing shortages across all departments which is seriously hampering us financially. They want to force us to get shots with every fiber in their being(upper management are all liberals). The problem is they also know they’ll lose key staff and they can’t afford that. We’ll see what happens.
Hang tough!
I would much rather lose 4 hubcaps than one wheel. Sounds like Amtrak was about to lose a wheel.
I’m thinking Occam’s Razor. Anyone care to speculate on the possibility that Amtrak is flat-out lying about their employee vax rate? Something closer to 30% – 50% of employees calling their bluff, not 3%?
I was wondering about that too.
My guess is that it is the locomotive engineers, the people who drive the trains, who refused to be vaccinated. Keep in mind that as successive variants become less lethal and adverse reactions to the vaccines become more overt, even people who have acquiesced to the vaccines in the past will inevitably consider refusing the endless parade of boosters.
Exactly my thinking too, Elmer! Engineers and other train crew are the absolute necessary employees without which Amtrak would cease to operate. Some Conductors may have felt the need to get jabbed because they are in constant contact with the passengers / public.
But Amtrak locomotive engineers are very high paying and sought-after jobs because they are based on seniority and because a 8 to 12 car passenger train is a LOT easier to pilot than a 100 to 200 car freight train with multiple engines. Still, an Amtrak locomotive engineer must qualify on the route and equipment on which he or she is slated to be assigned. And that does not happen quickly. A lot of time and salary is invested in getting these crews trained and qualified.
So just casually booting out these employees because the employees object to being lab rats for an high-risk, dangerous experimental Quackcine would be not just shooting the company in the feet, it would be shooting themselves in the heart.
Another thing to understand is that although the general public tends to think the engineer is the crew member “in charge” of the train they actually aren’t.
The conductor is “the boss” of the train. Sooooo, must have engineer to “drive” the train but must have conductor to “drive” the engineer. 😁
Hubby is a retired engineer.
My tip of the hat to him. My ancestors starting with my dad worked for the railroad. I even worked for the railroad one summer during college. Train crews or any jobs in or near trains are dangerous and require training and safety awareness at all times. These aren’t minimum wage entry level jobs.
Hard to imagine silent rolling stock kills people not infrequently. I mean how does one not see a train coming – but it happens.
It is far more common than people realize. Steel wheels rolling on steel rails is far quieter than most people understand. What people hear is the banging of steel wheel across joints between successive sections of steel rails. Problem is, with continuous welded rail being the standard today for almost all main lines and revenue-generating branch lines, those joints are much fewer in number and much farther apart.
The other noises an otherwise “silent” moving train makes (other than the engine, generator, and dynamic brakes in a modern diesel-electric locomotive) is the squealing of the wheel flanges on curves and the squealing of the brakes when applied. If a train is moving on relatively straight and mostly level track, those sounds are not frequent.
Many people have been maimed or killed by standing or walking on tracks and being hit by a backward-moving train. The last car of a freight train has no beeper or sound; only an end-of-train marker light.
And today people are too distracted by cell phones and what they are thinking about than paying attention to the cross buck sign that is posted at every railroad crossing that says “STOP LOOK AND LISTEN.”
How do I know this information? My father spent the last 28 years of his railroad career as a Claims Investigator and Agent for the nation’s first common carrier railroad (chartered in 1827). He eventually managed the department that investigated every accident involving railroad equipment that resulted in personal injury, death, and or property damage. His department negotiated with claimants to reach $$ settlements before injury/death/damage cases ever got to a trial or the claim department provided the evidence to company lawyers that was used in court to defend the railroad from lawsuits (both legitimate and unscrupulous) claiming damages that were caused by either railroad negligence or the victims’ negligence and most often trespassing against posted signage and warnings.
So I learned more than most about railroad operation and dangers during my youth.
As a humorous aside, my dad, when exasperated by us kids over-energetic playing around the house, would tell us, “Why do you all go out and play in the traffic?” We of course knew instantly that he was joking but also that we’d best quiet down…. He didn’t joke about safety.
“Here kid take these razorblades and go play in traffic” was a fair warning to stopping being so annoying LOL
Good point. And once the goons require 3 leaky jabs to be fully vaccinated, that 3% probably balloons to more than 50%
I agree that the *boosters* are a bigger issue than the ENEmedia will ever let on.
Not everybody who lined up for their first shots will circle back for more shots. I know some who took the J&J because it’s only one shot, not two.
I would think that more than a few in that first mRNA wave are now horrified at what they now see playing out.
Between forcing the “vaxxed” to mask up along with everybody else (they thought they were special) and then dropping the bomb that they are no longer “vaxxed” without continuous boosters, they would have to be brain dead to line up again. And again. And again. And again..
We are NOT hearing about this, just like Fake News lies about everything else.
Yup. Our leverage is always in our numbers. If random people stand up here and there, that’s great in one sense, but not for a long-term objective. They become easy targets. Low hanging fruit to punish. But if we organize en masse, or even as Sundance points out in this piece, if KEY people organize, there is enormous power there. Power to shut things down, hit the bottom line of businesses, etc. And yet, for the most part, this has not happened. Perhaps the left is more oriented to this kind of thing as in collectivism, unionization, and a zillion social justice groups are are used to pulling people together in a heartbeat (to destroy things). We? Not so much. But if we don’t change that and shift our paradigm, we will continue to limp along.
“…zillion social justice groups are are used to pulling people together in a heartbeat (to destroy things). We? Not so much.”
No? Have you ever witnessed the effort of a hurricane relief crew or volunteer forest firefighters? We can band together in a hurry when necessary.
The problem is that too few view the civil government as having become a destructive force. So they are not prepared to do much about it.
The example you gave is true and shows how we can hit the ground running. But in the case of natural disaster relief, that’s very concrete. The unrelenting transformation of our country is another situation entirely and I believe many of us feel at a complete loss and/or are less brave than we think we are or should be.
And even with concrete, somewhat circumscribed scenarios, how many of us were willing to defy mask orders and continue working and keeping their businesses open, risking everything? Very few. How many people defended businesses being set on fire and vandalized during riots that never seemed to end? Very few. I could go on.
“… many of us feel at a complete loss and/or are less brave than we think we are or should be.”
To be brave, you must be free of guilt.
This is why the resistance effort is labeled an“insurrection “. You must be made to feel guilty and ashamed of cooperating with like-minded individuals. When you doubt the rightness of your cause, you hesitate to act.
The proper response to this fear is anger. When the flash point is reached, make sure you know how to follow through and finish the job.
I don’t think there are rules like “to be brave you must be free of guilt.” I think we just have a different take on many of the elements of the subject.
A guy I’ve kept up with for years was offered a job doing electrical work for food processing plants (apparently they’re not in good shape in general). He has a pretty easy job at a university and is making a video game on the side. He turned the job down. “Nah, let’em starve.” was how he put it on his blog. Not that I blame him. The self-sufficient aren’t going to be propping up the deadbeats any longer, I think.

conviction…
rare indispensable
I suspect they handed out a lot of accommodations. So many black people work for Amtrak on the East Coast that they had to give a lot of accommodations to reach 97% or they are lying
DC Metro largely black run as well.
The most surprising information in Sundance’s article is that Amtrak has 500 productive employees.
Typical government (in)efficiencies there.
They have far more than 500 productive employees or trains wouldn’t run and there’d be accidents daily.
Amtrak is not a government agency. The National Railroad Passenger Corporation is a quasi-public corporation funded significantly through the federal government and partially by states through which it operates. Passenger and freight revenue never entirely covers its costs. Most folks have no idea how much money is required to operate and maintain an interstate railroad safely and profitably.

The people that keep the trains moving are very unionized. The mandate would cause chaos if 500 locomotive engineers refused the jab. I’m not sure if Amtrak even has that many. I may be wrong, but I believe they are still required to have two men in the operator cab.
I don’t believe the 95.7% vaccination rate they claim.
Who is John Galt?
I am currently riding on the Sunset Limited Amtrak train from Austin. I arrive in Los Angeles tomorrow morning, and catch the Surf Liner to Santa Barbara.
A couple of observations; the mask mandate is strictly enforced. The loud speaker repeatedly warns noncompliance will result in being removed from train.
My other observation is how the attendants avoid passengers like the plague. If you need something, you can find your attendant in the club car hanging out..yucking it up with coworkers. Finally, I paid $666 to ride in a ‘roomette’. Coincidence? I think not!
yikes.
No more rail travel for me.
The train beats air travel.
I agree. It’s my favorite way to travel. Or at least it used to be.
Not in this country.
Totally agree. Something goes wrong with the locomotives, the train comes to a stop, and there you are.
Flying at 30+ thousand feet at 500 Mph and something goes wrong with the engines, there you ain’t.
You can get up and walk around a train. Sometimes the tracks aren’t the smoothest, but you don’t have or need seatbelts. You’re not breathing recirculating air that 100 to 300 others are in extremely close proximity and breathing and coughing into inside a pressurized titanium tube.
And you aren’t practically strip searched to get onto a train nor do they confiscate your 6 oz bottle of mouthwash. The list goes on….
…stayin’ home beats them both and I am easily able to do that….if I’m going anywhere, I’m driving myself….and that’s fine with me
Why do we believe their vaccination numbers? Psaki said only 4% were unvaccinated. What if the number is much higher (everywhere, not just Amtrak) and it’s all just a smokescreen? The 500 cited may actually be 5,000.
Has Psaki ever uttered a truthful remark? Seriously. Why would we suddenly expect truth from Global totalitarians propaganda arm?
Can anyone recall even one truthful Psaki remark? I don’t think so!
Here’s my concern about this change in course. It’s temporary. Amtrak wants to get through what I would presume is a busy season around the holidays. I’m reserving judgement until after the new year when they may feel less financial pressure and more freedom to inflict the mandate again. We shall see. Sorry, but color me cynical.
A non-Amtrak example.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission licenses Reactor Operators and Senior Reactor Operators. The License belongs to the Person, not the Utility or Company. There are not a “lot” of RO’s and SRO’s, but without them, no reactor operates, whether it is a Utility, submarine, aircraft carrier, medical/experimental reactor, or whatever. In the entire US, there are 3,900 licensed operators. About 1 per 85,000 people.
If even a few of them refuse the vax, the impact is enormous.
Similarly, tower crane operators, locomotive engineers, ASME Code Certified Welders, etc.
Lots of things come to a screeching halt if these guys/gals don’t show up.
It can take a decade or two to replace those skills.
massive job losses..companies implode….full negative business atmosphere.
goes worldwide.
Global government actors (unelected) move to program individual nation states under a single economic authority.
Sited in Beijing.
this IS THE PLAY.
we are watching a silent war, managed, orchestrated, designed, developed, sold and leased to every single corrupt central state.
The regional central states maintain some local power, but the GLOBAL NEW ORDER will completely reset every single part of the American experience…..
america becomes a welfare nanny state.
that’s the war…that’s what it’s about.
stage 3 revolution happens when a majority join in dissent against corrupt central governemts/states.
this awareness AND a shift in the body citizen about it withdrawal of consent to be governed under these conditions are necesssary for the revolution to advance to stage 3 (transfer of power).
we are still in stage 3. But things are moving along very quickly. Nations States are creating unviable business and economic and market conditions that are showing real harm and pain to citizens. We see the demonstrations and the protests and the violence. This will increase . THis will lead to a more wide scope of people who will join in the dissent and withdrawal consent.
World War Xi.
If we don’t get our houses in order soon enough the Chinese will do it for us.
Excellent analysis and inspiration woven together!!!
I’m still a hold-out, come hell or high water!
It’s really too bad more people don’t want to take a stand against abortion in this forceful manner.
Amtrak is nothing more then a whole in the ground that gets billions dumped into it.
Plus the rate of theft among employees is worse then a broken into cell phone store in the middle of Chicago.
My father spent his entire 40y career at Amtrak- specifically in the Northeast corridor based in the Boston area. He always characterized that institution as a middle management bureaucracy with massive redundancy. Those middle managers are *irrelevant* for operations. The very, very few that matter are the engineers- folks who actually ‘drive’ the trains and the ‘dispatchers’ in the corridor HQ that oversee movement of all trains, nowadays via a complex computer system located in select locations throught the US. Eliminating engineers OR chief dispatchers is enough to *completely* disrupt service. Those folks are SOLID blue collar career guys who choose assignments via seniority. These ARE the deplorables, these are the rough and tumble guys I grew up with in the train yards and on the trains who are as close as brothers. These are not just shift workers, these are guys with literally decades of experience and can’t be replaced by Joe Shmoe. They define deplorable: hard working, America-loving individuals with hundreds of lives in their hands day in and day out. There will be no capitulation at this point… those who have acquiesced have done so, and the rest, will not comply… they would rather retire and in mean time while you try train their replacements the system grinds to a very abrupt halt. The bureaucrats can fold and not be missed, but the gents (by and large males with HS diplomas and excellent work ethics) are INDISPENSABLE. I respect them as much now as I did when I was a nine year old girl watching my dad hold train orders out the window at the Readville station on a bit stick, ensuring those passengers got home safe that day.
Liberty & freedom are not negotiable and they will not be intimidated into action, and Amtrak acknowledged they are unable to call that bluff.
Exactly. Train engineers will spend years on the same section of rail learning every inch of it. They know the speed limits, all the signals, sidings, other train schedules, etc. Railroads often require a new engineer on a particular main line to train with someone who knows that particular line before they are on their own. Safety and risk management rule because an accident or derailment can be deadly and/or very costly.
If these guys don’t show up it’s chaos for the whole system.
Who is John Galt? We are.
Robert Kennedy said that everyone should do 3 subversive/rebellious acts/day to stop this.
He sited even little things like speaking up, sharing our opinions, posting comments. Not just things like running for school boards, joining PTA, Election inspector, Judge of Election, joining gop to become Committee person (don’t tell them that’s why you’re joining!).
As said here; Throw sand in the gears. Stop buying from China, buy less, don’t get jabbed, don’t wear masks. This is WAR. We must recognize our power and use it legally and strategically.
I manage to do 3 rebellious a day and I live in the woods. Hold the line.
I’ve started speaking up more often instead of allowing the left to be bullies. I’ve been surprised at how people have backed down. It’s felt good to stand tall and grant myself the freedom to have my own thoughts and to express them with confidence.
Traveled this weekend. As a meandered through the airports I went massless. No requirement to wear a mask in the airport but lots of signs saying you do. The number of maskless is very small but felt a bond with each who was.
Then on the plane, I kept a cup of coffee with me and sipped it the entire ride. One stewardess was so bothersome about forcing me to make me wear the mask that she forget to do the seat belt check. I forgot to buckle up and she never noticed. All she worried about was the mask.
Went to a government meeting. It was required for all unvaccinated to wear a mask. I did not. The attitude spread as by the end of the meeting the rest of the pure bloods were maskless also.
good I do the same.
Exactly right, just say I’m not gonna do what you say
And it’s high time we say no to a whole host of things that have gotten shoved down our throats in the last few decades.
It’s time past time that we shut this Washington DC beast down.
My job would have lost around 20 something workers…with no one lining up to replace them…I suspect the ones that stayed would have wound up quitting due to increased workload. Luckily CMS was blocked in the courts. But these idiots don’t have to live with the consequences of their actions. Once enough people are losing their homes, can’t feed their families or pay for heat during the winter, then is when the chickens are really going to come home to roost.
This.
Sundance nails it. It is the who that matters. Be the who and you have the power.
1976 swine flu fraud by gov/media
Started a pt job @ Sams club 2 weeks ago( horrible co. to work for, Ty Walmart)so today when I got to work, was told corporate mandated that masks must be worn by all employees. Not members, just workers. Of course when questioned how this makes any sense, no one can give a sensible answer. My initial reaction was today was my last day. Now of course , I need to get answers to questions I have. Am in fl. , so if anyone has any suggestions( besides just not showing up) would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. And I will pray.
I’m thinking that companies can and often do require employees be masked. You see it in all manner of stores where the public frequent.
Perhaps you can ask for an accomodation due to your difficulty in breathing comfortably with a mask on. I think companies, especially big ones, jump through a lot of legal hoops these days to avoid running afoul of laws protecting people with special needs of one type or another.
Although you might want to consider looking for other employment, you might enjoy tying them up in and taking up their time in legally justifying your request for an accommodation.
Private companies can impose any uniform requirements they wish. Shirt and shoes.. etc.. We are stuck with this mask crap because too many people willingly comply. It is simple as that.
But I read that OSHA can be legally challenged to prove that the masks actually work as intended. Which masks must be worn for protection, and so on..
Since most masks don’t actually protect anybody, unless perhaps they are N-95’s and worn with Hazmat suits, I am sure the ADA and OSHA would -if challenged- be forced to accommodate workers who cite very real health issues like Hypoxia, etc.. against these useless masks.
Just like 2020
When tens of thousands of people all over the world are protesting these harmful, horrible, terrible policies and vaccines, where in the world are equal numbers of American protestors? Were they always sheep?
Americans haven’t suffered enough. But when they do.. watch out!!
Price’s law says that about 50% of the work in any organization with x number of people is done by square root of x number of people. Square root of 17,000 total is about 130. You take it to about 4x (500) and that pretty much covers everyone who has anything to do with the workload of the company. There is your independent corroboration.
This article is amazing and points out succinctly how middle America operates
as Sundance states they really are the ones that run this country
these Common sense people have understood from the beginning what this was all about and understand what this kill shot is and know not to be a part of it
I know where I worked the people that couldn’t do the job or pull their weight were always promoted
the doers that got the job done and always saved the day stayed where they were
but when downsizing came guess who were the first to go
what we called our educated idiots or aka brown nosers
Doers do not and will not take the kill shot
companies cannot survive without the doers
Just to let everyone know the exact reason. Amtrak granted several thousand of its employees religious accommodations. The accommodation was unpaid leave. So they technically complied with the policy but Amtrak didn’t count them to look good. But those employees still would have been out of service hence the schedule cut.
Cooking the numbers. Now that figures.
Wouldn’t *unpaid* leave be grounds for a class action lawsuit? Sounds like a clear case of retaliation to me.
Medical experiments cannot legally be mandated.
It’s that simple. Leave me the hell alone already!
Good to know, I will take my money somewhere else. Spread the word.

#Kroger is ending certain benefits for unvaccinated workers in order to compel its workforce to get a #Vaccine .
Unvaccinated workers will no longer be eligible to receive up to 2 weeks of paid emergency sick leave if they get sick with #COVID19 variants.
I shop at a Kroger…like you…had same reaction earlier today when I first read article….I also will go elsewhere for groceries…
Not surprised though…last winter a Kroger Mask nazi and I got into it….so I suppose that the Kroger C-Suite is in the bag for Fauci….
Better that then dead.
Kroger has lots of competition and they’re all hiring.
And how would they know you have covid unless you tell them?
Good catch. The pureblood workers are probably required to test themselves every five minutes, or weekly, as a condition of continued employment.
The worthless Covid PCR tests, that are themselves an emergency use EUA, routinely turn up false positives. At that point, pureblood employees will be forced to stay home without pay, apparently.
In some states, sick payouts are required for employees testing for Covid. So this gubmint mandated subsidy would *not* apply to purebloods, in retaliation for resisting a mRNA medical experiment disguised as a “vaccine.”
You miss a critical point. The government lies. I do not believe Amtrak management when they talk about the percentage of workers that have taken the shot. No one should believe them. Ever. And having worked in gov’t, I find that most jobs can be handled by others. There’s no way that only 500 can make Amtrak change scheduling that much. Not with 16,500 to cover.
I find it’s far more plausible that Amtrak management has outright lied about the percent who got the shot, the percent who maybe took one dose and stopped, and the many who did not want the shot. It’s far easier for management to lie and say 95% have gotten the shot to force those who haven’t into submission. I would guess that at minimum, 20% have held out. That’s more likely to cause the shift in their proposed scheduling. And it’s more likely 30-40% because that’s too many to have to cover with the other employees who did get a shot. They got relief from the courts rather than having their bluff called. Now they get to keep lying with their 95% shot rate.
See Ray post above. That makes sense to me. Figures don’t lie but liars sure do figure.
There’s no way that only 500 can make Amtrak change scheduling that much. Not with 16,500 to cover.
You don’t have a clue how a railroad operates and the various skill sets required.
ScamTrack
Surely the Acela corridor crew would be inconvenienced if this mandate continued. It’s all fun and games until the ruling class is inconvenienced.
“Currently, fewer than 500 active Amtrak employees are not in compliance.”
I do not like the sound of that language. Compliance? Do not comply with an illegal, unconstitutional mandate.
Great JRE episode.
Without the doers, nothing gets done. Simple as that. And the doers have always been a small percentage of any company. Being considered critical or essential, doesn’t mean you’re a doer, politicians being a prime example of that.
I bet a good percentage of that 5% of Amtrak employees were the people who monitor activity on the rail lines. Without them, the trains do not move an INCH without killing people.
Covertly Astute,
My sister has a refrigerator magnet that says “Nobody notices what I do around here…. until I DON’T DO IT!”
How true!!
