Yesterday the White House occupant equivocated any current supply chain shortages to the 1980’s Christmas shortage of Cabbage Patch dolls {link}. According to the White House narrative there are no shortages of essential products other than a few hard to find non-essential toys.
Obviously, that level of executive office propaganda is intended to gaslight a national audience into questioning themselves when they see shortages of highly consumable products like pet food and grocery store items. Unfortunately for the White House the supply chain issues are of such widespread frequency even the allied narrative engineers cannot ignore them. NBC reported that chicken tenders are “in short supply” at stores and restaurants as President Joe Biden’s supply chain crisis persists, during a segment on NBC’s “Today” on 12/2/2021.
.
Strange how there’s no shortage of Marijuana in the supply chain…. And no, you are not crazy if you notice these things.
I had a meeting with supplier today that provides material for the construction company that I work for as manager.
They informed us that the supply issues are exceedingly grave. Everything is hard to get and containers that cost $3500 last year now cost $25000. The increase in cost of goods will continuously to rise as transported increases.
Dark times.
DD
Lunch with a friend who works for distributor of Mobil oil products. Shortages abound and the most price increases in the past year in his 30 year career. Dark times is correct. And getting darker.
Just went to a Safeway here in San Francisco… part of Piglosi’s district, shortages are very apparent especially in the Frozen section… and saw shoplifting — literally happening while I was in line at the register! Sadly both are common place here!
I stocked up on oil, filters, grease and hydraulic fluid for my truck and tractor several months back. Even got light bulbs for headlights etc., wiper blades, HVAC filters, water softener salt and house water filters. Good for at least 18-24 months because this is going to be long term unless we the people take drastic action. I continue to look around and stock up on anything I foresee possibly needing for everyday life. If you haven’t gotten garden seeds you better get them now because many are already sold out for next season, also your fertilizer. And if your refrigerator uses a filter better get extras. Look around at what you use and plan on it being in short supply.
Yep, I was in the process of buying empty containers. No goods inside. Was going to build a container house. 2 years ago I paid $5000 each for 40’ high cubes. I was quoted nearly $7000 two months ago. I’m afraid to ask now. Needless to say, that project is on indefinite hold.
This economy has ruined my income anyway.
Sounds like I need to start a boneless chicken ranch. 😳
Sounds like we need to be making shipping containers. So they can sit at a port somewhere.
Spineless chickens are a dime a dozen in D.C. Start there.
We need some hawks in DC. One year one hawk killed all but two of my chickens. The two that survived were the only good egg layers anyway.
Ba-Da-Bing!!!! : )
If only companies had started preparing for domestic production back in 2017 when Trump asked them, then they would be hedged against this logistics nightmare.
Step 1: Become dependent on a hostile foreign power for most essential goods.
Step 2: Be shocked when the foreign power closes the trap.
I wonder how the Wal-Mart geniuses feel about President Trump’s China tariffs now?
Amazon, Walmart knew this in advanced and they have their own supply chain system. This kills small businesses not the big boxes.
You are 100% correct but they also are all in with the Great Reset so they knew before the fact this was coming and made plans accordingly.
and totally buy into the “just in time” logistics concept!
JIT worked in the early 80’s when we were all going that direct. But, most products were manufactured in the USA still. When they offshored everything JIT should have been laid to rest.
They were too busy chanting orange man bad.
If you like wine from Italy – buy up IF you can – was told by my favorite Restraunt that it’s grim and getting worse. He is out of stock and low on any and all bottles less than (our cost ) $80 and less. No one will be buying up and yet that’s all he has.
Buy excellent wines from Mexico. Valle de Guadalupe just outside of Ensenada, Mexico. Over 80 very good wines and vineyards in the area.
Absolutely beautiful area to visit, too…Santo Tomás has several nice wineries and restaurants and you can get a pretty decent bottle of Cab Sauv for under $20!!
Wine will become scarce because pkg materials are very very hard to find. We bottled and labeled our re cent vintages to be sold just in the nick of time…right after we purchased all the bottles caps corks labels…they became scarce end of this past summer. May prove to be good met for those who got supplies early!

D.D. we talked with our with it financial friend this morning.
Despite all this messing with the economy. Real estate here in British Columbia is expected to continue its incredible rise.
He added the consensus at his institution is “ hyper inflation “ is not to far off.
Of course they may be way off base, but he and his groups track record is pretty good.
A recent example is the PDJT stock DWAC he got in at $19.00 and “sold on” a portion for a bit of a profit, but retains a fair a sizeable holding.
Greg Mannarino frequently discusses the real estate rise on his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoOhzyG-i7IMBEMbyRlI66g
He basically says it isn’t us peons causing the current real estate market. Real estate is being bought up by corporations. “You will own nothing and like it.”
True or not, I don’t know. He seems to be correct in other aspects of his reports, though.
FYI.
*Back to quietly reading everyone’s comments.* 😁
Thank you for the information.
Here in British Columbia “ Real Estate “ is viewed as an asset class, and family syndicates are buying homes around here, primarily Asian and Sikh families, but not exclusively.
Better than money in the bank, and at mortgages of less than 2% on a five year fixed why not “ roll the dice”
Cheers!
When house buyer offers over the list, immediate cash closing without inspection then you know that is corporation buying. FED gives moneys at zero interest for corps to gobble up all the house before hyper inflation to wipe out the middle class their highest value asset.
UST: I have read about the corporate investors, but having been working the housing market for the past 2 years and I would say 100% of the all-cash, no inspection, no contingencies offers we’ve experienced have been ‘flippers’ who perform a quick cosmetic redo and flip the property at a healthy price hike. These tend to be small-time operators who often do some of the remodel work themselves. It’s quite a cottage industry.
I don’t believe you. By their own data, Zillow and OpenDoor bought 1 out of every 5 houses sold in 2021. BlackRock buy every single house in entire subdivision. There are not a lot of small house flipper with million dollars laying around to pay cash on no inspection, no contingency, unseen houses. Corp buyers do that because it isn’t their money, mostly by AI anyway.
I think I just read that Zillow…has left……….the market..and selling off houses for less than they
paid for them…???
Blackrock will buy every home in an area, while paying extremely high prices for a few being bought later. This will increase the value of the other homes simply because crooked Govt’ appraisers say it does, then Blackrock can borrow even more money on the other homes. They actually come out ahead by borrowing more on the homes, even while overpaying for many of them. Then they turn around and set the homes up for the section 8 programs and the Biden Govt’ pays them even more.
This makes me think of how they are investigating and accusing Trump of overinflating assets to get loans!
Black Rock is the one buying up a lot of property and their intentions are not honorable.
They are running a con, similar to organized criminals. They way overpay for a few houses later on after buying a bunch in the same area. Local Appraisers jack up the value of all the homes they bought, then Blackrock can use the new Appraisal to borrow more money than the homes are worth based on that new appraisal. This also jacks up the surrounding area homes property taxes, causing others to lose their homes, where Blackrock will also buy them too.
If I was a corporation with millions on hand and was expecting the dollar to completely tank, land seems like a great place to park your money. What good is having a couple million in the bank if it’s not going to be worth anything?
It isn’t even their money, It is the FED money that gives to them at zero cost. $120B per month FED bond buying need to go somewhere. Some of them ends up using to buy our houses and left them empty to create house shortage to drive up the cost unaffordable to people who need these houses the most.
Maybe it is all those Hallmark Channel movies and series they make up there in British Columbia – looks so heavenly!
British Columbia is a beautiful Province. Like other pretty places the politics are very left centred though.
Particularly Vancouver Island known as the largest temperate island in the Pacific. ( I don’t know if that’s true, but likely)
Cheers!
There may be a bright lining to the container costs. once this is straightened out the price of shipping may, may just crash
ON the other hand the price of farm fertilizer has almost doubled, ouch
A little more than doubled.
https://agfax.com/2021/12/01/dtn-fertilizer-trends-anhydrous-leads-as-price-climbs-continue/
The numbers won’t mean much to many on here, but off the back of my hand, between fuel, chemical, fertilizer, and machinery price increases, we are looking at a minimum of $150 per acre higher production costs on an acre of corn assuming product is available.
I operate in the organic realm, That is just the latest price increase. one of my main corn fertilizers is Chilean Nitrate, total price increase so far 125% over last year, IF YOU CAN GET IT. No guarantees if not bought and delivered in the next two weeks. Running into the same on seed, already have mine ordered, no guarantees if not ordered by now. Never had a problem before this year except in rare circumstances with new offerings, but never across the board
Haven’t heard of conventional seed being short yet, but it is about the only thing. We were already dealing with spot shortages of fertilizer this past spring and certain chems were short supply last year, can only imagine now. Cross your fingers a tractor doesn’t break down either, shop backlog is rediculous, no parts, especially electronic. I’m not sure I have ever seen anything quite like this, one thing to be high priced but flat out unavailable? Strange times. I have no doubt a crop will be planted and made, but it might be a little more interesting process than usual to do it.
Even the mulch I buy that is composted biosolids and yard waste so I do not add any other fertilizer, now is reserved out months in advance. Luckily I have plenty for next year and this could be the year I finally get chickens. I need a super sturdy coup to stave off predators where I live.
Back to boxed mac-n-cheese everyone. And don’t forget to be grateful.
I ate hot dogs and baloney my whole childhood. I can do it again. FJB.
To this day I still buy the cheapest hot dogs and bologna because that’s what I grew up eating. And cheese sandwiches: two slices of bread, a slice of “pasteurized cheese product,” and some mustard or ketchup. My palate doesn’t care much for the more expensive stuff.
Elric – I made my children mustard and cheese sandwich’s on white bread for lunch when they were in grammar school and I received a call from the school after the first few weeks of school that I made “sandwiches that no child would ever eat”. I still can’t believe I got this call! I am one of seven and when my mom made me that sandwich I knew we (as a family) were having a good week !
What? That is ridiculous that the school called you to rant about cheese sandwiches!!
One of my favorites as a kid!! Loved my cheese sandwiches.
I just ate a cheese and mustard sandwich for lunch yesterday…. Although I’ve upped my game a bit from the ‘Wonder bread and Frenchs mustard kid version’ for my adult version….the cheese was sharp cheddar, Dave’s killer bread and dijon, but it was still a cheese and mustard sandwich!
I had peanut butter and jello sandwiches.
Every day
No fruit
No juice
Just water
That pasteurized cheese product is a rip off. They mix cheese with water and starches so there is less cheese in it. It is an illusion of low price. I buy real cheese and just eat less of it, always have.
Growing up, my neighbor’s mom used to make him fried baloney sammiches for lunch.
I wish I could have eaten that well.
I grew up in the Carter years – bring it!
We made bolonga, pickles and mayo on fried taco shells. YUM!
Good stuff, we had fried baloney sandwiches often.
Baloney sandwiches and grape Kool-Aid for lunch.
there is a place in town famous for their fried baloney sammies, people come from all over
to get them..
Bologna on the grill is excellent too.
Me too, I loved fried boloney. My mom would melt a bit of cheese in the middle after she flipped it in the pan. No one was fat back then either.
Actually, and NOT gettong into that whole psaki “lower your expectations” b.s.,…but,
There are a whole recipe book of deliscious, nutriscious, satisfying and rib sticking meals, that our grandparents relied on, during “tough times”.
Instead of each person having a pork chop, steak, chicken breast or fish filet, with potatoes, rice or noodles and veggies, you cut up ONE pork chop, steak chicken breast or fish filet, and cook it WITH noodles, rice, potatoes and add in the veggies, and add a sauce.
Beef stroganoff, Hamhocks and beans, Cabbage, Sausage and peppers, stuffed cabbage, are just some, there are many more.
And, stay away from “pre-prepared” or “packaged” meals as much as possible.
Mac and cheese, are you kidding me? Hot dogs and baloney?
The more “convenient” it is, the more expensive, and the pre-packaged dinner you still cook yourself is the worst.
For example, Chef Boyardi Spagetti Dinner; just add hamburger.
All it is is thin tomato sauce with italian spice, in a can along with some spahetti noodles, and packaged with instructions.
Twice or more as expensive as buying a larger jar of decent spagetti sauce (or even better and cheaper, making your own) and a larger package of noodles.
And actually TASTE some Tillinghouse Sharp Cheddar cheese, and you will never eat that looks like plastic, american slice cheese crap, again. Comfort food is one thing, but yeuch!
Just cause $ is “tight” doesn’t mean we have to deprive ourselves of the joys of life, quite the contrary, THATS when they are most needed!
Once you have the basics for cooking or baking and a few spices you can create some incredible meals.
True
I fry an onion, then brown good quality beef mince, then add tomato/vegetable juice/blitzed tin/s of tomatoes, water, mixed herbs, 1 -2tsp turmeric, 3 large grated carrots ( for 500gm beef–have also used chicken/turkey mince) then cook it out, topping up with water
Can add curry/chilli
Stir in some some chutney at the end.
Then divide into portions and freeze
I make this into stuffed capsicums, stuffed pumpkin/or a dish with rice/with pasta/in pastry /phyllo as mince triangles
Its a good nutritious standby
1 kg mince makes enough for 4-5 meals
I have also added a tin of canned washed lentils to make it go further
The problem is that all of those carbs are not healthy.
Ideally, you would take those four ounces of protein (chicken, pork) and mix them with a very nice salad, with hardboiled eggs, peppers, corn, peas, garbanzos, etc… and then serve some bread or rice on the side.
The problem is that all of that stuff is going up and UP.
What we need is for a shortgage of Ovaltine at the White House. Let’s see what Brandon does then.
BTW, I’m gonna make a Spam paella for dinner… no kidding. We like Spam in my house.
“BTW, I’m gonna make a Spam paella for dinner… no kidding. We like Spam in my house.”
Then you will undoubtedly like these tasty breakfast burritos.
https://www.spam.com/recipes/spam-breakfast-burrito
Not a Spam fan, but my hubby and one of my daughters *love* Vienna Sausages. My other daughters, and myself, watch in fascinated horror as they rinse the jelly sludge off and eat them happily from the can.
In the Deep South, we pronounce it Vienny sausage!
“There are a whole recipe book of deliscious, nutriscious, satisfying and rib sticking meals, that our grandparents relied on, during ‘tough times’”.
Mister, no one can squeeze a nickel like Clara, whose Depression-era recipes are personally tested and highly recommended!

I am from a family of 8 kids and am #2. I only knew how to feed families of 10. Make every $$$ stretch. We canned, froze and made our own almost everything from scratch. 😉
Home made everything is the best and cheaper in the long run. All that processed stuff is just poison.
I just made a huge lot of homemade vegetable beef soup out of a left over pot roast. It was delicious and I have leftovers.
Be right over.
I used my hambone from Thanksgiving to make navy bean soup. It was dinner for 3 nights. I have a long commute and don’t want to cook every night when I get home anyway!
Mom made fried baloney. It was delicious.
peanut butter and jelly works, too.
Hot dogs and baloney?
An Aristocrat !
Mayonnaise sandwiches and occasionally , a banana sandwich for us!
🙂
Banana and peanut butter. Tomato sandwiches in the summer.
My mom made peanut butter and banana sandwiches too. Elvis’ favorite.
Yes, tomato with Hellman’s!
Fried bologna was my thing as a kid.
Lower your expectations Biden/Harris/Buttegeig 2024. Bumper sticker material.
Expectations are racist!
Oh snap!
Butts expectations ARE lower
So are those of #HeelsUpHarris
Sorry couldnt resist
Peanut Butter Sammies!
But not Kraft please (not that you would). They’ve just put out a special limited edition children’s book about “transgenderism” and choosing the right pronouns. For kindergartners.
Crazy. Isn’t Patriots owner, Kraft, a big Trump guy?
Was he? Why yes, now that I think about it. He is.
I am not 100% sure, but I thought it was established that the football Kraft guy, who’s the Trump guy, is not the same family as the Kraft foods.
Gag me, please. This just makes the $$ for pre-school in the build-back better bill before the Senate all that more worse. Early access to children for indoctrination when they’re 2. Yeah, millenials are all over this to avoid child care fees. But then, their brains have been reduced to mush anyway.
It is actually terrifying. They think your children are theirs. They are also defunding Christian schools and preschools. That’s the telltale sign that what they are trying to do is pure evil. And not a syllable from any Republican, who I now consider the enemy as well.
Thank you. Never Kraft ever from now on.
My view as well.
Duke’s mayo only.
You forgot “…grateful for Joe Biden and all his good work” /Sarc — FJB
Not I. Sure the winter may get a bit lean but we’ll manage. Next year when this gets worse I plan on feasting from my garden in the summer/fall and enjoying roasted or smoked rabbit from my rabbitry. Enjoying farm fresh eggs everyday at the moment and I only have to walk 50 feet to gather them. Nothing like an over easy egg hatched that day.
Lol hatched! I know what I meant.
Baked beans on toast with grated cheese is also great
We all should eat more beans
People who live in the 5 Blue Zones eat a lot of beans and home grown vegetables
The 5 Blue Zones are:
Loma Linda
Sardinia
Ikaria
Costa Rica-la coya
Okinawa
These people live long healthy lives
Theres an interesting story about a NYC Greek man who got lung cancer and his Drs told him it was untreatable
He decided to go back to his ancestral island, Ikaria
30 or so yrs later he was interviews
His Drs were all dead
His cancer had gone
We eat too much mass produced crap
This article from 2012 is actually a good read despite being in the NY Slimes
Ikaria -the Island where people forget to die
https://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/28/magazine/the-island-where-people-forget-to-die.html
That research ignored many other blue zones like Switzerland which is a mostly meat and potatoes diet. I read the book and they advise the consumption of alcohol even though Loma Linda is a non drinking population. A lot of cherry picking went into that. Lowering stress and community support is more important than diet.

1) If we must let more over the border or the poultry industry WON’T SURVIVE!!!
then how come
2) We have a chicken shortage with an open border
More Haitians or Latin Americans? I’ve lost track of who we need or the crops and livestock die.
We need fertilizer more than the who’s at this point. Without the fertilizer the crops and many pastures will be less than what the farmer needs to stay afloat and the food shortage will really explode then.
Well, we didn’t need them until LBJ’s Great Society introduction of socialism. Now welfare pays the class of people who used to do that work to sit on the porch while we import help. Lots of H2A help around me in vegetables, that business would grind to a halt without them, and they aren’t cheap. Hiring a crew is $15/hour/head for field labor. White South Africans are becoming popular with some farmers for tractor operators under the H2A program, frankly I wish we could get more of them, they work.
Maybe we can start eating the illegals? Do they taste like chicken???
Soylent Green
Too greasy.
The Chicken shortage was caused by the world’s largest chicken producer introducing a new rooster that would produce better-tasting chicken. Sadly, they were too lazy to fertilize very many birds so they had to go back to the old rooster. It takes time to raise roosters to adults but at least wings and thighs are appearing again.
Did they call this new Rooster “Brandon”, and was he part of the “Build back better” program?
how did they get around without wings and thighs?
asking for a friend
Government assistance
Not even close, but it sounds good. Fortunately or unfortunately I am in the chicken business, breeder hens, I pick up fertile eggs for broiler production all day. Flocks did not get placed nor removed on schedule during 2020. Multiple flocks foamed for lack of processing capacity, plants forced to one shift or shut down. What flocks have been placed since then have been placed at a lesser stocking density, around 85 to 90% of normal. These flocks take 72 weeks to cycle from being placed as bitties to spent hens and houses prepared for new flocks. We’re on the tail end of that cycle now. Our eggs are sold on to hatcheries and they want every egg that they can get ahold of. Now how this new variant spin they are trying to push affects the situation I don’t know just yet.
I thought read that somewhere recently!!!.thank you for letting me know… I am not crazy!!!!!
.
Who is harvesting all the dead birds from the solar farms grounds?
Doesn’t pigeon and chicken taste the same, fried . . .?
Pigeon is not bad. Just call it squab.
Silo duck.
Everything tastes like chicken….
Oh how I’d like to tell my lesbian frog joke right now, but I’ll refrain.
Come on man!!! Tell it….
Husband and his coworkers tend to carpool to lunch. He came home the other day complaining about how they went to Church’s chicken and sat in the drivethrough for half an hour only to be informed they were out of chicken.
More small business owners (franchises) soon to be ruined.
How very Biden of him.
My local restaurant eatery that supplies chicken in home cooked style meals just raised prices 50%. This is insanity, but expected with the Crooks in the Govt. (Biden/Obama organized crime syndicate) stealing from us all.
Did he shoot anyone?
I didn’t like going through drive-throughs before the gas prices went back up – I try to park in the parking lots and walk in to places but it seems like the counter orders take a long time, also – “fast food” is not fast and so what’s the point?
I recently pulled into a local fast food drive-thru and waited several minutes for someone to take my order.
As I sat there, I noticed about 5 more cars pull into line behind me.
I continued to wait for a response from the speaker but it remained silent.
Eventually, I drove up to the window to find out what was going on.
The girl at the window informed me that they had a power outage and couldn’t take orders or serve food for another half hour.
I glanced in my rear view mirror and noted that the drive-thru line had doubled in size.
I looked at the girl and said, “If you don’t want a lot of pissed off customers, you might want to get off your butt, come out here, and tell them what’s going on.”
She just sat there with a stupid look on her face as I drove away.
But, but, but you spoke harshly to her!!! What if you hurt her feewings and made her qury? Now she will need tewarpy….
A stoned and drunk population is a compliant population. The most destructive shortage we have is patriots in DC willing to attack FJB the way the dems went after PDJT.
Got to keep distributing those daily Soma allowances.
Yep, we just returned from a walk “ uptown” the “ legal pot store” had a line up outside the door.
The courtesy pot delivery vehicle was loading up for a delivery.
The liquor store had a line up at every till.
A street cockroach had his hand out with packages of legally produced Indian cigarettes ( they are smuggled into towns)
I asked him “ how much” for a laugh. He said “ ten bucks” ( legal smokes are around $17.00
I don’t smoke but “ know the street” I laughed and said I can buy them for $4.00, $5.00 tops.
He cursed me and we strolled off.
Illegal smokes are aplenty.
Goodaye D, I like to smoke but they are 2$ each !
I might just have a little business proposal for you 😜
Seriously..$2.00 each!!
Honest to god .
“ Holy Smokes” 😂 😂
A 200 cigarette carton can be bought for $30.00 dollars Canadian. If one knows where to go.
Native Indians produce them on their Reserves. No taxes, no regulations, and government oversight.
Canadian v Australian $ is $1.00 to $1.10.
Cheers!
Fed tax is 85% if you get busted here growing tobacco in quantity it’s a fed tax charge meaning a long jail sentence, the same amount of pot is mostly a fine or short sentance , can’t mess with them tax dollars.
So do we have a deal ? 😒
I would like to help. Logistics might be tricky though.
Too bad your aborigines can’t trade between our natives.
Setting up a direct link with one our native bands is key for large shipments.
We will stay in touch.. I am heading out for the evening.
Cheers!
I’d prefer going after Dems the way FBI SWAT teams went after Roger Stone, James O’Keefe and the many patriotic Oath Keepers who attended the January 6th rally.
Oh, but with REALLY itchy trigger fingers.
We call those Baldwin fingers now. The triggers pull themselves.
Yeah, compliant until the munchies kick in
They want us to eat bugs and soy meat.
All while they kept the liquor stores, pot shops, and strip clubs open. Stoned, drunk or otherwise “occupied” .
Let’s Go Brandon.
What? There are open strip clubs? Where? And I’m not referring to New York strips. 😬
which generally, hopefully, do NOT taste like chicken
Craziest thing, seeing a stripper with just her 3 masks on. /s
I think the two lower ones are called tassels or pasties… lol
See>>> Stripper Tassels | Etsy
Yep, let’s not forget the abortion clinics.
Soylent Green, you mean.
Kind of a good movie, 1973.
I’m betting that’s racist too.
Actually, they want us to just die.
If the supply chain gets any slower, that soy meat may come with its own bugs…
No shortage of weed here in CO!
The Feds found it here in Oregon, we’re trying to get it trucked to you but Biden’s supply chain problem left us without trucks, you’re going to have to come and get it yourself.
Oh, wait, you said NO Shortage, if you need more you’ll still have to come and get it yourself.
Calm down, now! I know how to fix this: Eat Cabbage Patch Dolls. They taste just like chicken!
there you go!
Did Jill Biden say that?
My heating/AC guy did a semi-annual checkup on the system on Monday and said the nearly 4 year old capacitor was going bad because it was “cheap Chinese junk”. He said it might last another year. I had him replace it now while he can still get it. .
While he was here, he got emails from Ruud (which is also Rheem) announcing a 10% across the board price increase starting in January and that a 3.5% surcharge for the processing fee will be added to all bills paid by credit card, also starting in January. He expects to get the same emails from Carrier. If you need a new system, get it now.
I have 3 cats and one is on a prescription diet so all 3 eat that kibble. The cat who needs it is VERY picky and will only eat the ocean whitefish version. Chewy has run out of it before so I just stocked up even more and now have enough to last until January, 2023. I’ll probably buy more in July. In the meantime, Chewy is sold out of the canned food the other 2 eat but I have enough until April right now so I’ll order it when they get it. Otherwise, I might have to share that scarce chicken with them!
There’s a company in FL that makes capacitors. They cost a bit more but last a long time. I put them on my units. I’ll try to remember to search for the name, but just search “made in USA hvac start capacitor” – company should be located in FL.
Set up Auto-ship that way they will ship when they get it in; then cancel auto-ship. BTDT. 😉
I make raw now and have enough frozen ground to last till probably March. Need to order the mix tomorrow JIC.
I don’t do auto shop because I buy a LOT at a time. I clicked the Notify Me option to get an email.
Mari in SC: My a/c guy told me I’d need an entire new unit 20 years ago. He again told me that last week. You got “took.” Maybe.
Not the whole unit, just the capacitor. The rest of the unit is in fantastic shape, per this guy.
My HVAC guy..stocked up on Rheem furnaces awhile ago..and stored them..he held one back for me because he knew I would need it.since my old one was 26 yrs old..and viola…I just got my new furnace last month!!!
Uh, I’m pretty sure there are not cargo ships of chickens waiting off the coast of San Fransicko.
Just curious if Tyson Foods vaccine mandate had anything to do with workers sick or fired.
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/04/business/tyson-vaccine-mandate.html
Hmmm. All unvaxxed Tyson Foods employees placed on unpaid leave as of November 1. This article is from November 30.
https://www.myhighplains.com/life-health/health/coronavirus/with-another-protest-incoming-tyson-foods-offers-comment-on-covid-19-vaccine-requirement/
But do we *have* to eat Tyson?
Time to support the local butcher.
I buy Farmers Focus and Bell’s chicken when I can. So much better tasting.
I don’t disagree, but Tyson Foods is one of the largest meatpacking companies in the world.
They didn’t get that large by not squeezing every nickel of efficiency they could before going woke.
It wouldn’t take much firing or sick workers to put a dent in their operations.
Edited to add: I grew up in a large family. Every year Mom would buy 300 baby chicks from the local hatchery and we would raise them over the summer.
Chopping chicken heads in the fall was my job.
I had to pluck the dead chickens and collect the eggs
My father had chickens and turkeys
I do not buy/eat anything Tyson produces.
Nope, none, no connection there at all.
If you believe firing your workers leads to product shortages, you’re imagining things.
The Chicken shortage was caused by Tyson who is the largest chicken processor in the USA. They went to a new rooster which produced better tasting chicken, but these roosters were too lazy to fertilize most eggs. They had to go back to the old roosters but since they had sold them for meat, they had to bring a bunch to adults to produce enough to satisfy all the hens.
You’ll recall during the Trump admin a lot of deals were struck with China to buy American crops, fish and meat. I suspect China is buying large amounts of these products leaving smaller amounts for the American citizenry.
My local grocer sells Canadian lobster yet it is harvested mere 45 min from the store. Why can’t the grocer source his lobster locally? I suspect much of the local product is exported.
Tyson is headquartered in Arkansas where there is no mask requirement. Chicken farms across the state(# 1 producer in the country) so shipping is purely within the U.S. unless they are exporting.
I am very familiar with Tyson chicken farms in Arkansas. In fact, my in-laws own property down there, and their neighbor was a chicken farmer. Tyson sat at his kitchen table and wrote a check to him to get him started in the chicken farming business.
Tyson had to eat crow. Get feed from a Tyson owned mill. Down to half their truck drivers and farms going 48-72 hours or more without feed. They had to hire “independent contractors” to fill the gap. It didn’t come cheap. They were originally mandating everyone doing business with them selling and delivering grain have the shot, they had to back off that position real fast as well.
Okay if Joe Biden gets confused and thinks Cabbage Patch Dolls taste like chicken, but kindly leave the rest of us out of it . . . thank you very much
Fancy having the “munchies” with no chicken available, terrible I say !
Not to change the subject but how are things down under. Curious for your semi-regular update.
On the 16th Dictator Dan gets full Hitler power, protests will continue and Patriots are getting madder by the hour.
The pigs have already warned that they are going to intervene, this means violence, it is 1pm Friday here now so I don’t really learn much until later.
On the national front it getting really tough for the commies, Patriots are attacking on all fronts, an A1 or Australia first (Aussie MAGA) party had eight of his staff go down with permanent injurys , five of his staff are pregnant woman and have refused the biojab and the government is trying to force them to take it, most are saying this was a “hitjob” I tend to agree.
Rick (A1) made a fantastic speech at a press conference and ripped the government and biojabs to threads, best I’ve head so far, someone will post it as its just to good not to !
I will try to post more on MP tonight.
Thanks for your concern.
Cheers.
There’s a reason I call it Technocratic Feudalism.
“With the onset of the [Roman Empire’s] Crisis of the Third Century, however, this vast internal trade network broke down…
Made desperate by economic necessity, many of these former city dwellers, as well as many small farmers, were forced to give up hard-earned basic civil rights in order to receive protection from large land-holders. In doing so, they became a half-free class of Roman citizen known as coloni. They were tied to the land, and in later Imperial law, their status was made hereditary. This provided an early model for sefdrom, the origins of medieval feudal society and of the medieval peasantry… The common people of the empire lost economic and political status to the land-holding nobility, and the commercial middle classes waned along with their trade-derived livelihoods. The Crisis of the Third Century thus marked the beginning of a long gradual process that would transform the ancient world of classical antiquity into the medieval one of the Early Middle Ages.”
And that resulting feudal society was eliminated by the Plague, cause that changed the ratio of workers, …tell me again how it is that these evil people “know exactly what they are doing”?
Supposedly, the multinational corporations installed Biden, and yet said corporations are getting KILLED by these supply chain disruptions, which totally mess up their “Just In Time” system, costing them billions,…
I’m just not yet convinced, that THEY actually know WHAT they are doing, and aren’t just trying to “fake it till ya make it”.

Got my garlic and shallots planted. Prepping the rest of the soil for spring planting. Bought half a beef at $3.75 lb, but man says its going to $4.25. Building a pizza oven in the back, which I can also use for bread, smoking, drying fruit. Got an older mint condition coleman stove with lots of fuel. Ammo, OK. But getting more by trading calibers I don’t need anymore. Battery radio with ham bands. Lots of beans, rice, etc.
What am I missing?
Cans of gas and a generator
YouTuber Patriot Nurse has lists that fall under beans, bullets, and bandaids categories.
Laundry soap, coffee, powdered milk, flour, yeast, baking soda, vinegar, cooking oil, fuel for lanterns, firewood for heating, fuel stabilizer and gasoline for saws and generator, bleach for sterilizing stored water, fresh large batteries. Should I go on or do you get the idea?
Get a grain mill and order wheat by the bucketful. Wheat lasts a long time kept sealed.
Corn, too!
Field corn keeps for years if kept sealed.
Then, a little water, a little salt…et voila! Tortilla!
(According to a comment above, you then fill the tortilla with a cabbage patch doll.) 🤣🤣🤣
I hear it tastes like chicken!
WHEAT, and a grain mill.
Flour doesn’t store well, unless you freeze it (bugs) and its not practical to grow your own grains, generally.
But 25-50 lbs of wheat, and a grain mill should get you home made bread, for some time.
Chickens will keep your yard bug free, and pot bellied pigs will eat up all your kitchen scraps,..
Might want to read up on Aquaponics,…
And remember that whole wheat breadmaking is very different from using the standard “Enriched All-Purpose Flour”. It doesn’t rise as far or as quickly, and you have to knead it longer.
To store flour put it in an airtight container like a 5 gallon bucket with lid that seals. Place some oxygen absorbers in with it and that takes care of the bugs.
I understand what you are saying Dutchman. But I very successfully bought 45-50 lb plastic buckets from Wheat Montana years ago when I made bread and sold it. They would deliver 10 buckets and I stored them in the basement. They also sell honey in large
buckets. If you want to go cheaper get McDonalds pickle buckets and fill them with the bagged wheat. It is cheaper. Good luck. This was some of my best homeschool days. 7 kids. All grown now.
Medicine. Do-it-yourself medicine. Got to be up on patching bullet holes. Ha Ha!
Rain Country on YouTube has a lot of videos on concoctions for all kinds of ailments.
There are a number of books out now also on prepper medicine. “Prepper’s Natural Medicine” by Cat Ellis even talks about treating a heart attack. 😲 …..and a monkeyed up tooth.
And you need an EMT kit with stop bleeding powder, tourniquets, set broken bones.
Unrelated to medicine, I read somewhere that we are headed for a shoe shortage. Fancy stores bringing back previous years’ goods from outlet stores because they can’t get new shoes in stock. True or not? I don’t know. Ich weiss es nicht. A couple pair of long-lasting, quality-made boots.
Water and a method for keeping your refrigerator / freezer running long term – solar and battery or inverter-charger.
Plant fruit trees, peach, cherry, apples, pears do well in the area if your lot has room
Also canning jars; I’ve been buying packs of the lids each time I go to the local market since have plenty of jars and bands and noticed this last time that there was only one pack of lids left – so am not the only one who remembered this last year when jars were hard to find.
Young brunette with a pleasant demeanor?
I like the way you think, Auntie! lol
Water!!!!!!!
Everything the left touches turns to crap–every. single. thing. They must have one epic plan to steal the midterms to mitigate the anger of the overwhelming electorate now-
IMHO, their “epic plan” is the same one that has gotten them this far; its called “WinRed”; they KNOW they are going to lose in 2022, they have already PLANNED that; instead, the Republicon wing of the Uniparty will take the “lead” position in the House, and probably SMALL lead, in the Senate.
And NOTHING will change, substantively.
My best friend owns a local diner and she has supply issues with chicken, onion rings and straws. Such random things that are no longer available. Beef prices are also soaring so she has secured a local beef supply from her son who is a rancher. They now have a standing local USDA inspected locker date and have a beef butchered every month to supply her diner with hamburger. Fortunately, I have 65 chickens that lay around 4 dozen eggs per day so we’ll have plenty of chickens and eggs to share with family and friends. Everyone needs to take steps to shorten your food supply chain as much as possible. The more food you can produce yourself, the more stable your supply chain will be.
Our dry cleaners has asked us to return the wire hangers, as they are in short supply, as well.
Got that email today!
Self-sufficiency,..its not “convenient”, costs more in time and energy, but less in $.
And the peace of mind?
PRICELESS!
Biden is tapping in to the U.S. Strategic Marijuana Reserve.
Is the Strategic Chicken Reserve scheduled for tomorrow?
If you have prepped and have a good supply of stuff, be prepared to defend it next year. After businesses are looted, desperate people are going to look elsewhere. Locally speaking, you might want to keep quiet about your stash.
Yup. One of my older brothers told me, way back in the ’70s, that there’s no point in building up a food stash if you’re not willing to kill to keep it…..shutting up about it is the first step in the long range hope that you won’t have to kill to keep it.
Get locked gas caps. In the 70’s when we had previous gas shortage some neighborhood kids siphoned my Dad’s gasoline from the car in the driveway. Boy was he angry when he needed to go to work in the morning.
I have already alerted my daughters to not let anyone know what they have stocked up on- I haven’t, either. It’s going to get ugly.
I am over 100 miles away from the closest urban area. By the time they get to me, they will be thinned out a lot but the ones with the highest skills will be the ones left. Sort of a good news/bad news situation.
And don’t forget to get in line for food with everyone else so people think you don’t have any either.
Yeah the Florida Medical Marijuana Cartel has plenty of garbage weed for highway robbery prices. Our favorite RINOs let the Partnership For A Drug Free America(Now named The Partnership To End Addiction) which is based in Pinellas County and wholly funded by Big P(Harm)a co author our “vertical integration”cannabis law. Many chronic pain sufferers have ditched the card and gone BACK to opioid pain management because the products available are wholly un-affordable.
My favorite Christmas movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” depicts the difference between Trump’s America and Biden’s. Pottersville (Biden) financed by graft, corruption, self-agrandizment and appeal to vulgarity. Bedford Falls (Trump) opportunity, happiness, solving problems together, true community.
Just a cautionary note for those who see the misery and suffering the regime is causing, but hope that a change in Congress next year will provide some kind of respite or partial relief from the Joe Xiden tyranny–it won’t.
Just this week, 80 Republican congresscritters crossed the aisle and voted with Democrats for funding for a database to track and keep up with vaccinated Americans. You read that right–80 Republicans.
Friends, we aren’t voting ourselves out of this. It is what it is…..
Those 80 just sold us all out to the globalists via the CDC. There is no other way to look at it. My rep is one. Emailing him tomorrow to tell him what’s what. As in no vote from me. I’m in a conservative part of Texas, so I won’t be the only one.
I was shocked at some of the names I saw on there.
What? ..think they were offered each a cool million? what was their price?
What other explanation could there be?
They are flat out telling they don’t care about us.
80 Republicans, nah.
80 bags of trash.
Well here is a link to the Republican sellouts.
https://clerk.house.gov/Votes/2021388
Not sellouts, confirmed members of the UniParty., whose cover is now known to us deplorables.
Remember
Agreed, too many of our elected officials have already been bought and paid for. Regardless of registry or not I will not get their jab and they really don’t want to come to my house to see why!
The supply chain issues are a feature of the planned commie takedown in all western countries, in Dictator Dan’s Victoria this and lockdowns have produced a thriving “black market” and ” bartertown” is humming along smoothly,
The names are amusing though, my son goes to a backyard boxing gym nicknamed ” shadowjim” and I recently got a “subteranian” haircut 😜
We all appreciate the seriousness of this, but we will never submit willingly to this lie.
That said the “ Black Market” is now a thriving entity.
Haircuts cash, dog trimming cash, home Reno’s cash unless a rental deduction is useful.
Our eggs, fruit and veg cash.
I even know a dentist that is 40% or so cheaper if one avoids insurance or a “ paper trail”
Legitimate physios too ( not “ rub n tugs”)
“Rub n tugs” you can include here. I have heard of unjabed woman turning to prostitution to feed their children, I certainly see the morality side but at the same time I cannot condone nor condeme .
Preppers who were once thought insane now ahead of the curve. Pray, practice and prepare.
Funny you mention marijuana. Medical marijuana stores are popping up everywhere here in PA. Guess if you’re stoned you won’t notice the destruction FJB is causing.
Like on my legs. Yeah, I love it when the kids rub the hair on my legs.
So … now do you finally understand what the consequences of election fraud shall be?
This inflation is going to put people into poverty. Just what they want more dependent people. Print money, give ‘free’ stuff. Repeat and then more dependency.
The original Obama plan on Steroids.
In the ’70s, the government gave us cheese. it was aweful – but we appreciated the extra food.
I have a feeling that’s not going to work on this generation.
The government cheese we got was pretty good. Came from a local cheese maker that made aged cheddar.
My grandparents got it. It was a lot more than cheese. Biscuits, canned goods, powdered milk to name a few. I didn’t think they were too bad.
Our cheese was FABULOUS!
Seriously, today an ad and a discount code for weed displayed on the gas pump as I pumped gas at $5.00 a gallon.
They’d also probably deliver to the station in San Leandro, CA…just outside of Oakland.
McMurray Hatchery. I’m raising 40 meat birds right now. Feed is local. I have laying hens. I will be getting a rooster to keep it going. I’m waiting for turkey poults to come back into stock so I can try raising them. Meat rabbits are another option, along with raising Quail, if you don’t have space. Butchering animals is something we’ve divorced ourselves from. I’m not expecting things to get better so I’m taking lessons from my grandparents who survived the Great Depression by going back to the family farms. There are precious few left. Go love on a farmer y’all.
As an unjabed second class citizen not “allowed” to work I’ve been slaughtering cattle and sheep now for 18 months throw in a few bunnies and search out some cash jobs, barter for petrol and you can survive. I also hold ” bush” skills and know how to shoot.
I have not had an income for nearly two years now but as a youngin it was pumped into my head ” if you starve to death you deserve to die”
And yes I distribute my extras to those incapable- older people mostly and some struggling young !
I was also taught never to break trust as one day it will be returned.
Wise words to live by and sharing with others less fortunate is Christian. Good on you.
Have deer, squirrel and wild turkeys around on my property so meat will not be a problem but you are right about loving on a farmer. If you don’t know one you should make an attempt to get to know one.
Do they even sell Cabbage Patch Kids anymore? Or is that like when he was talking about turning on the record player, like anyone born this century even knows what one of those is.
Every possum in the county will be dead before I eat one bite of alligator….I got standards…
Ye I don’t like possum so goanna it is !
…long as the fat is white, not yellow…fine in a stew….steaks are kinda small
Mexico is an Awesome bargain these years!
I have noticed here at my local Stop n shop that they juice box,
bottled juice isle has been pretty bare for a few weeks now.
Same with Cat food and litter..and lately the paper towel
toliet paper isle again..
But my local small IGA seems to have thier shelves pretty
well stocked..
My Price Cutter has plenty of everything (SW Missouri) and gas has dropped 10 cents the las week ($2.94/gal)
Cat food is hard to come by!
Went into a Walmart and Publix both had noticeably patchy shelves. Not my imagination, something is going on.
I noticed some time ago that the stop n shop purposely changed the contents of every single grocery aisle so nobody can find what they’re looking for. It is very disorienting.
This is a shrewd move. Customers don’t know there’s a shortage. They just think they didn’t know where to look for the items!
Where are all the chickens? Because there is certainly no shortage of Communist Chickenshits in our Feral and State Grubermints.
They are systematically removing all protein sources.
They’ll figure out that they screwed up real bad when it isn’t pitchforks we’re totin’….it’s dinner forks…
Half the butter section is soy crap
Costco has been out of frozen chicken bone-in thighs now for five months.
Two weeks ago they were out of frozen pepperoni pizza.
How about buying it fresh and learning how to cook?
“Strange how there’s no shortage of Marijuana in the supply chain” – Sundance. Or fentanyl, or heroin or the other drugs Stillwater posts everyday coming across our border! There’s no shortage of those illegal drugs, or Covid-19 “vaccines”, or the deadly Remdisivir, or booster shots or just about anything that will harm or kill us! But it’s very difficult to obtain the legal drugs Ivermectin/HCQ drugs at our pharmacies that could heal us! Now why is that? Some critical thinker might get the impression our very own government wants us dead? Godspeed Sundance!
There is a difference between the pre-packaged frozen stuff this woman is talking about and the fresh chicken that is shown later on that you cook yourself. Give me a break, I do not have sympathy for a woman that feeds her childrenthat pre-frozen processed food in the freezer. She could probably quit her job if she knew how to cook from scratch and feed her kids healthy food. There is no chicken shortage where I live if you know how to cook. On the other hand, the shelves where I live have been half empty since the bs covid thing started. But I never have noticed FRESH chicken missing.
Learn to cook well and you’ll eat like a king 🙂
NC has plenty of chickens and turkeys.
I have discovered that chicken breast meat is far superior to chicken tenders….much more tender and cheaper….been buying those breasts to freeze every trip to the store
Watch out for the chicken breasts that have rows of white lines in the meat – that’s a sign of poor quality chickens that were forced to mature extremely quickly and painfully – the lines are extra fat that doesn’t exist in the breast of ground raised birds that are allowed to mature normally and fed normal diets.
Ref. https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/508493/what-those-white-stripes-chicken-breasts-mean-your-health
Here’s a real hard look at it: https://thehumaneleague.org/article/white-striping
yea, that is some NASTY stuff. They got it bred in, before they realized it. Now they’re trying to breed it back out.
Locally raised chicken is the best when available.
Amen, Baby El. We ONLY buy local ground-raised chicken (and turkey) nowadays, and yes, it **is** more expensive. But darn, it tastes great and no white striping.
I only buy organic or antibiotic and hormone free. That stuff with antibiotics stinks so bad when you cook it, I cannot tolerate the odor in my home…stopped buying that years ago. Really, try it and notice the difference in smell and tast,
Yes, 100% agree. The chicken we buy is also all that you listed. I hadn’t mentioned that because I was only addressing the white striping issue. But you raise a valid point about the other artificial means that mass producers use to pump up their birds and minimize disease-caused losses because of the horrendously crammed conditions those poor birds are forced to endure.
….I cook breast at 450F…but prefer thighs…
The faster it cooks the less time it has to dry out…
We like thighs for bbq.
Chicken tenderloins pounded thin, coated with panko crumbs, pan fried in coconut oil.
Steepest discounts ever at POT dispensaries-
Disposable income for the core clients has evaporated and domestic supply doesn’t require shipping containers-
1/2 oz premium Bud in Oregon $50
My Fla Medical is half what it was when I signed up 2 yrs ago- all price drops have been last 3 months –
I’ve been stocking up on chicken for 3 months –
Lots of shortages in SW Fla
Walmart is always out of 30-50% of the dozen food items I buy there regularly – nothing special either
Price of Sani-Cans are on the rise too 😀
Is a Sani-Can like a Mexi-Can?
Hahahaha that is sooooo funny! Thank you for getting me to laugh out loud!
No eggs in Charlotte food lion.
Food Lion has problems all over. Lowes foods is well stocked.
Don’t worry Comrade, if you believe more in Dear Leader, and virtue signal harder, you’ll get extra ration cards for meat.
I’m sorry, I’m still chuckling at the restaurant owner who said “you feel the pain most in the tenders”.
Yes, yes you do.
Even in tough times, the occasional bit of sunshine from the lowest form of humor…
Message for Joe…and admin….borrowed from Johnny Cash… Go tell that long tongue liar…go tell that midnight rider…Tell the rambler, the gambler, the backbiter….Tell’em that God’s gonna cut you down….Tell’em that God’s gonna cutt’em down….
Stock a lot of food – because it’s going to be way more expensive and far less available in 2022.
There’s a cabbage patch doll on Fox every evening named Brett.
Has Brett been treated for his “premature” problem, no not that one, the one that has to do with election nights.
Chicken thighs at Sam’s Club today were 98 cents/pound up from 92 cents last year. I bought two flats and cooked them on BBQ. I will freeze for low-carb/sodium dinners.
