Yesterday, data on the wholesale “Producer Prices” was released showing an 8.6 percent increase in prices for final demand products {DATA HERE}. That is the increase in cost within the system of bringing products to market.
Today, the “Consumer Price” data was released showing a massive 6.2 percent increase in prices {DATA HERE} for goods that are currently available for sale. The overall rate of inflation is now 6.2% year-over-year.
When you overlay inflation atop wage growth, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) report now shows a decrease in “real wages” of 1.6 percent {DATA HERE}, which is the increase in weekly pay minus the additional costs to buy stuff. The working class is losing ground rapidly. Things are ugly and they are fixin’ to get uglier.
Before getting to the part where we can explain exactly how much more we can predict to pay for current products in 90 days (yes, that approximation is possible), first lets look at the actual data on the current inflation rate for products we are buying today. [Table 2] is the easiest reference for category specific review.
Overall, the prices for groceries (food at home) went up 1.1% in October and 5.4% for the year. However, several products in the supermarket have jumped massively. Beef jumped 1.9% for the month and is 20.1% higher overall. Bacon went up 2.1% for the month and is now 20.2% higher for the year. All processed foods increased at a rate about four times higher than fresh unprocessed foods.
Fuel oil went up 12.3% in October and is now 59.1% higher for the year. Unleaded regular gasoline went up 3.9% in October and is now 51.3% higher for the year. Piped natural gas went up 6.3% for the month and is now 28.1% higher for the year. Used vehicles are now 26% higher than last year, and new cars went up roughly 10%. You can scroll down Table-2 to see each category (second and third columns show year and monthly increases). It’s unnerving to see the scale of inflation while knowing it will get worse.
One kitchen table way to estimate the current inflation that is already in the system but has not shown up in the retail end is to take the wholesale inflation (PPI 8.6%), deduct the current retail inflation (6.2%), and that gives you an estimated aggregate gap of 2.4% between them. That 2.4% is essentially an inflation lag already in the supply chain at various stages (raw material, intermediate, final). Bear with me…
The 2.4% difference (8.6 – 6.2) is a lag that will show up in approximately 90 days. The difference between the wholesale inflation and retail/consumer inflation will eventually reach the cash register in higher prices. The 2.4 difference is also a good way to approximate how high finished processed goods will go.
The difference between the wholesale rate of inflation and retail rate of inflation (as a percentage) is around 28%. That’s a good generalized way to approximate what the future price will likely be for any given item, call it a widget, in the consumer segment.
• Current widget at $17.00 + 28% gives you an approximate for future widget at $21.76
• Current bread at $4.69 + 28% gives you an approximate for future bread at $6.00
Using this method, you can approximate the upper price likelihood for a heavily processed product. The more an item needs to be processed, the more hands that touch the product in the processing, the higher the end price will be. The more an assembly of individual processed parts is needed in order to generate a finished good, the higher the end price will be, etc. An increase of 28% will be an approximation for the future prices (roughly 90-120 days) of a heavily processed item.
Grocery prices rose 1.1% last month, while the cost of eating out was up 0.8%, the largest monthly gain in 40 years.
MSNBC – Inflation across a broad swath of products that consumers buy every day was even worse than expected in October, hitting its highest point in more than 30 years, the Labor Department reported Wednesday.
The consumer price index, which is a basket of products ranging from gasoline and health care to groceries and rents, rose 6.2% from a year ago, the most since December 1990. That compared with the 5.9% Dow Jones estimate.
On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.9% against the 0.6% estimate. (read more)
I am just glad Joe doesn’t have his hands on the nuclear cod….! Ooh crud!!!!!
When will the nightmare end? The 12 people that actually voted for Biden on purpose must realize life was much better under “Orange man bad”. – although that’s probably racist to think that way.
“When will the nightmare end?”
when we decide to end it.
If every American worker took one day off from work that would send a clear message. People can’t pull their heads out of their arses long enough to realize that.
The hardest part of ’15 days to slow the spread’ is the first 600 days.
????
The most handled food is prepared home delivery meals.
That makes sense. Do you know enough about that to guess at what it’s going to do to the homebound? I suppose they’re mostly on the dole, but there must be a lot of fixed income elderly that are going to need a lot of help, and soon. No?
Wait till they see their Soviet-democrat ratchet up energy & property taxes! (You don’t own your property, the government does)
What’s the weather like in Russia this time of year? Putin at least likes the Russian people and the country, fights for its interests….hmmmm.
I doubt Putin likes anyone in Russia who is not rich and beholden to him. Ans watch who’s not on the hockey team at the Olympics … bet that any player who is not loyal to Putin gets left off, no matter how good he is.
If all goes according to the Biden* plan, the homebound will include the non-vaxed that won’t be allowed in grocery stores or restaurants.
And who is going to enforce that? Like In and Out Burger said, it is not our job to enforce the state mandate, we sell hamburgers to everyone.
Will there be TSA out front of every business in the country? My god they can’t people to work now much less a government BS order.
Not really. The majority of prepared meals kits are working mom’s.
I’m the guy that 20 years ago made making gel ice packs affordable by combining two machines. Fought with company engineers who said one can only make 19-23 bags a minute. When finished my customer was running 45 per min and reduced waste by 99%.
Having worked in various roles for a number of manufacturers, I can say with some certainty that most engineers live in a whole different universe. I always dreaded the meetings.
To be successful, every project needs three types of people: engineers to put the ideas in motion, management to secure funding and support and people in the middle that can translate between the two because most in the first two groups don’t know how to talk to each other.
It’s always fighting the “experts”.
They said a rocket can’t be landed and re-used.
I distinctly remember learning about CANI – constant and never-ending improvement. That’s how things get cheaper and better at the same time.
Thank you for sticking to it and proving the “experts” wrong which in turn made the customer better off.
I was watching a thing about Netflix software engineers and how much they make, note: it’s a lot!! The thing that caught my attention is during performance reviews the manager needs to think in of the employee having given them their resignation letter. The manager must evaluate if they’d fight to keep them or let them go, if they determine they’d let them go then they should just fire them right then and not waste time. The fires employee gets a decent severance package. I wish we could do that with government employees.
Years ago I worked for a company that manufactured various electrical components, mainly for the military but sometimes for commercial customers. One item we made had a notoriously high scrap rate. Like 50%. The engineer who was in charge of this product line would just say “It’s hard to make, there’s not much we can do to make it any better.” I was asked in a meeting what I’d do if I had $30k or so to make it better. I told them I’d figure out what the root cause of the scrap problem was. I mean, I was a pretty inexperienced engineer with only a few years under my belt, but that seemed the best approach.
So they put me on the project. I built a machine that tested the parts very early on in the process. I also built another machine to automatically only cut out the good parts from a grid of 100 parts. This machine turned out to be not really needed as my tester quickly identified the problem, it was in the etching line. The acid spray nozzles would inconsistently spray the acid on the parts, etching some parts too much and others not enough. We needed a precise process, and nobody had really looked at this step apparently. With a regime in place to calibrate the nozzle spray, and replacing the nozzles with new pre-calibrated ones frequently, our scrap went from 50% to pretty much 99.9%. It saved our company $4 million/year.
This happens way more than most people can believe. Oh, and when I asked for a raise or a big bonus for doing this, they passed on it. I quit my job and it was the best move I’ve ever made. I hear that they had to hire three engineers to replace me, they were really taking advantage of me and paying me crap. That shame machine I built is still running almost 30 years later. How do I know? Every so often they ask me if I can build them a new one, because it’s held together with bubble gum and bailing wire. I laugh. Nope.
Like you Baloney there have been several times in my life where some one told me I could not do what I went on to do.
There are a lot of people like the “noting can be done about this situation we just have to live with it” and too few people who say ” I think we can solve this one”.
Meals on wheels has been in operation for decades. Elders did just fine, but now? Not sure if they’ve been effected by the shutdowns and lack of manpower.
Amazingly my elderly grandfather seemed to manage just fine on his own after my grandmother passed.
He missed her terribly but still managed to cook, clean and do his own laundry without help from anyone until he died in his 90s.
With the steady rise in home fuel prices, I think the Biden Administration has dealt with our seniors. BTW, Biden doesn’t pay for his home heating. You do!
I suspect, as with food stamps and WIC, they will continue to raise the amount of government $ and programs for the homebound.
After all, their goal seems to be to foster dependance on the government.
I expect reverse mortgages to make a comeback.
Hello Fresh is quite good. You prepare it not them
Not true. It’s assembly of ingredients, cook card, gel ice pack, box, shipping, and delivery is the multiple hands your paying for.
I’m good with a hot dog.
Aren’t those services pretty expensive on a cost per meal basis?
Given that you could walk into a grocer and assemble them yourself, I would say yes. The low initial buy in requires a subscription. Benefits the companies in that your prepaying for food.
Where it does make sense is regional availability. Getting odd veggies is much easier in CA than Midwest or North East.
Its not rocket science; look in the grocery store, at a pre-packaged dinner of spagetti; it has the noodles, and the sause, and you just “add hamburger”.
Then look at a package of noodles, and a seperate bottle of sauce.
Its obviously much less expensive to prepare yourself; we PAY for “convenience”.
Heres a fun one; in the grocery store, where I live they sell potable water for $1 /gal.
Where I live, I can buy 300 gallons of potable water for,…..$1!
Hmmmm,…
I have a good well. Best water I’ve tasted from a tap.
Before that, I paid 60-100$ a month for crappy city water in CA.
Lots of time the veggies that come with the hello fresh meals are rotten!
? ? Thanks Sundance for making this understandable
Your exactly ? correct.
It’s not a flaw but intentional destruction of our Country.
I’m writing from New Zealand where we are in a constant state of lockdown. The only way for American patriots to make a massive impression is a protest of huge proportions. One that the corrupt politicians, Police and even Military would be helpless to control. A protest that would wake up the entire world. Enough is enough. Get organized.
We are just starting. You are right. Loud and in their faces. I believe we will get there in the end.
I have been watching with disbelief your benighted country ever since this disaster overtook it. Such a gorgeous country that once upon a time was considered the ideal place to move or retire to. How did Arden manage to become the Stalin of our time?
I pray for you all. There are many on this site who do as well. We are in your corner and hope that somehow the good people of New Zealand find a way to bring your odious government down, no matter what it takes.
God go with you all.
Best advice Alan. We have an absolute vacuum of leadership/organization.
I’m sorry for what is going on in New Zealand, Alan.
We aren’t set up geographically to do what you ask.
Our form of government has ways to fight that evil, where in the end, we still have the government we want. We could go tribal, and end this in a week.
Human beings, with moral virtue, don’t work that way.
We run 2/3’s of the country already, and occupy 85% of the dirt.
We don’t run the media, crooked politicians, or the other 1/3rd.
We’re working on it. Hang in there.
Doing it right will help the world, more than burning cars.
Forget going national and go somewhat local.
Work on a state by state basis.
Raise holy h*ll in each state and forget about the media, Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon mean well but they can not really help us with this.
If it looks like we are about to take out a mayor or a couple of city council members physically after we have tried everything else and we really have the man power to do it in each and every state this will make a difference.
If it looks as if we can take out the governor because we have the huge crowds it will make a difference.
Going to DC and having people try to show up in huge numbers will not work, we need to do this state by state, county by county and city by city.
The Fake Administration dosnt care. One communist stooge said the plan was to bankrupt oil and gas producers. If all producers in the U.S. are out of business where do we get our energy? Its a puzzle…
She is an example of a Soviet democrat living here, just like most of the ownership of the lying anti-American MSM.
Nope. She’s an idiot. Has no idea how electricity is made.
She actually said SMALL producers, not ALL producers.
They will still have plenty of jet fuel (kerosene, basically) to fly off to “climate summits”, etc.
Check for local farms. We’ve been buying produce from Boone Hall for months and it’s rapidly becoming our exclusive produce source. It’s cheaper than Walmart, tastes much better, and satisfies better. I just went and did a DDG search for local butchers, we’ll be trying them for our meat needs next.
At a guess, I’d say this is probably generally applicable.
If you can afford it, the thing is to pick up an extra freezer and buy a half or whole cow or pig from a local farmer. Pigs go to the butcher throughout the year, but here in Maine the fall is the time to get in line for your beef or pork. When it dawned on me what was happening a few weeks back, I went on Craigslist and found a pig. Yesterday, I picked it up in 4 boxes, with a couple of bags of lard.
We picked up a freezer recently.
Hopefully there will be electricity to keep it running.
A decent home generator is next on your list. Make sure it’s propane-powered.
I read there is starting to be a shortage of propane, with ever increasing prices.
Because of course there is.
Added: Just saw an article on Bloomberg link that stated propane prices were up in October 35%.
I think we have to expect them to do everything they can to take fossil fuels away from us, not because the planet has a temperature, but because they work and they help us. Remember, the goal of all of this is not to take over the country but to get us out of the way of their globalist schemes.
I do expect it. They’ve been advertising their plans for years. But…and I hope I’m right about this…poke their finger in our chest too many times, and they’ll discover the pushback they haven’t planned for. That time hasn’t arrived yet…but it is coming.
Bit difficult if you live in a condo.
That is why I won’t live in a condo, never have, never will.
I’ll sleep in a tent first.
Or, can convert a gasoline generator to propane, for around $200.
I would be curious anyone’s thoughts on natural gas generators.
I made a battery backup for my freezer using a deep cycle battery (UB121000) and a Tripp-Lite 750w inverter charger. Total price about $550. (note: the inverter/charger power must exceed the max power of your freezer by about 25%).
It will power my freezer for about 18-24 hours and is connected between the wall socket and your freezer. It will recharge when power is restored or can be charged from a generator. This way, you only need to run a generator intermittently.
Did same for sump pump and another for pellet stove/refrigerator.
To take it farther, and give you the #’s; solar “grid tied” systems are a total scam,..but.
Solar, as a free standing off the grid system CAN make sense.
I have built my own. Total costs around $6-7000.
That includes $2800, for the battery bank that is waranteed for 8 years, and will then need to be replaced.
Was spending $150/ month for grid electricity.
So, “saving” $1800/ year for 8 years so when I need to spend $2800 to replace the batteries, I will have saved $14,000.
It does require making some lifestyle changes, but no major sacrifices.
To me, its definetly “worth it”, and my energy costs aren’t dependant on the whims of the conmunists.
Having farms near where you live is a blessing.
I’m thinking you can even live in NYC or Boston and drive an hour (like I did yesterday) to get something home grown.
Did you factor in the time and cost of gasoline?
Indeed
We go to the farmer’s market often. I suspect that will increase.
Although the local farmers are usually brain-dead leftists. Has to do with the occult origins of the organic farming movement.
There is not been a lab ever invented which can distinguish whether an apple was grown organically or inorganically. I raised “organically” grown fruit and inorganically grown fruit strictly a marketing decision on my part. I prefer inorganically grown fruit. There is less chance of bacteria and disuse as a result of organisms defecating on or in my food.
Boone Hall as in Mt Pleasant! That is my home town although I live in Greenville now. They have great produce. Their meats are a little pricey… back before they closed the “barn” across from the plantation fields. The oldest working plantation grows the best produce. ?
Yep, that Boone Hall! We’re about a 30-40 minute drive away. They don’t have meat there now, just produce and a nursery. When did they close the barn?! We went to go there one day and it was just… gone.
We’re going to check out Burbage’s this weekend.
I’ve been toying with this for a while. Finding the farm could be an issue, although I understand some farmers will sell “shares” in the form of boxes of produce at agreed-upon intervals.
Look for what is called a “CSA” – Community Supported Agriculture. Many, many farms and ranches across the country offer a CSA. How it works is you “buy a share” of whatever they produce and they deliver a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual “box”, the contents of which are dependent upon what they produce. It’s not cheap like Walmart, but I think it’s important to get to know ALL the local producers and start those relationships – for when Walmart, or a large grocery chain, has empty shelves. I just bought half a cow from a rancher in my town, but I’m rural. I’ve done the same thing is 4 states, so it’s more prevalent than one might think.
For those living in the Boise, Idaho area: you can try McIntyre Pastures (myintyrefamilyfarms.com) for grassfed and finished beef, pastured pork, pastured chicken and eggs, meat sticks, local honey, bones and offal, and dry goods. Also options to buy animals “hanging” (Whole/half/quarter hog, quarter/half cow). Also dry goods (corn meal, seasoning blends). They offer delivery, too!
There are others out there, I’m sure, but I’ve used these folks and am happy with them.
Thanks ? ?
Black Irish Rose ?
The information is appreciated.

Bingo. My wife has been buying produce at local farms for the past several years and has upped her “buy local” strategy to include all meats and poultry. She stays with organically grown vegetables (hydroponically grown in some cases) and with ground raised, free range and /or grass fed fowl and livestock with no hormones or antibiotics. At the same time she has reduced our consumption of frozen prepared products although she has been very cautious selecting them over the years. We have yet to experience any issues with her choices. The eggs she gets are awesome but a bit pricey ($5/doz).
She has me busy digitizing all the recipes she has recently adapted for our use, such that she can now electronically edit and adjust the ingredients and prep/cooking steps to her/our liking.. She is sharing all her “approved” recipes with our daughter-in-law who was never much of a full meal cook but eager to learn.
For those in the North Florida area, try Full Circle Farms near Live Oak. They have pick-up points for orders from Tampa to JAX to TLH. Their website is easy to use and they have a variety of animal-based food on offer.
Full Circle Farms is legendary.
In my area is the Fairview Produce Auction. It is located in the middle of Amish country. Whatever happens to be fresh is available in bulk. If you do not have a place to grow veggies to can, you can go to the auction and buy enough to fill your needs. You might get neighbors that are interested in sharing. It is expensive to plant and cultivate a garden. This is a bit higher than home grown but lots easier. Many of the area grocers and produce markets buy at this auction. There are five of these auctions in Kentucky.

Yeah, we know.
Although we are not familiar with the exact number, we know that prices have risen. A half gallon of Clorox is almost $5 now when 2 years ago it was $2. That’s a 150% increase. Did our paychecks go up $150? We know the answer to that question too.
We no longer have a government. It’s gone. No Whitehouse, no Congress, no Supreme Court, no FBI and every other institution that actually used to work for us.
People need to SEE THAT IT IS GONE. Instead, we have a group of criminal bullies that invaded our normal life here in the USA and is kicking us about the field laughing at us.
Sadly, we all know what needs to be done and we are still hesitant about doing it.
Turn to God and ask, people. Our courage is needed for our children and widows.
No its always been “gone”. They just hid it better. Now the demonic creatures are out in the open in our face with it.
Vote out ALL incumbents regardless of party affiliation.
Vote them out how? Dominion and fraudulent ‘mail in’ ballots?
Who will restore our voting integrity to ensure fair and accurate results? And WHEN will they do it?
November 23rd. Watch Mike Lindell.
Thank you. I will.
Trying to balance hope with harsh reality is quite the challenge these days.
Correct we will need a different box than the ballot one to fix all this.
Last tuesday in Virginia.
well, it felt good to say it…… !!!!!!
Also heard there is another communist being put up to head the FCC. More crushing of free speech.
They won’t stop until they are stopped.
correct answer.
By what? The GOP?
We are fighting less than bare handed. Without a real opposition party we are lying on the floor letting ourselves get stomped by the jackboots of the left while the GOP watches with amusement.
Today in the mail I got an offer from a bank wanting me to open a “high yield” savings account.
It was a rate you wouldn’t believe –> 0.40%
Wow, now that’s how to beat inflation. No wonder people hate banks.
The banks stole half my families savings accounts back in the 1930’s. I’m not a fan of the predatory parasites. Christ did not like them either
The issue which has swept down the centuries and which will have to be fought sooner or later is the people versus the banks.
Lord Acton
Sir Josiah Stamp, Director of the Bank of England in the 1920s -Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money and control credit, and with the slick of a pen they will create enough money to buy it back again. Take this great power away from the bankers and all great fortunes like mine will disappear, for this would be a better and happier world to live in. But if you want to continue as the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of slavery, let them continue to create money and to control credit.
In the 1920s???
Seriously?
Those pesky bankers of a certain ‘tribe’ no doubt are the root of all our ev-ills?
?
Wow. Such a deal. Where can I get one of those accounts?!
Once right after interest rates plunged to almost negligible, I went into Bank of America for some small task, and the cashier looked at my account and announced (lucky me!!) she could move my money to another account that was paying 100 times (!!! again) the interest I was getting on the account I had.
I must have looked as if I had crawled off the latest banana boat. One hundred times! WOW!
So I informed her that, well, 100 times .o1% wasn’t even worth my time to complete the paperwork. She said nothing else. Not even have a nice day.
I wonder how many people she made that spectacular offer to who thought their ship had come in and said, “Sure, sign me up for that!”
Plenty I’ll bet.
Saw a great meme that was a take off on the Geico Gecko…Said “You could save 30% by switching back to Donald Trump!”
Best comment of the day,
TY VikingMom.
I suppose our esteemed public servants will just vote themselves raises to mitigate their inflated expenses. Meanwhile I might actually find out how happy I’ll be when I own nothing.
but only after lecturing us about how this is actually a good thing and/or we are not seeing correctly and its actually not occurring at all.
whichever works best that day.
Say hello to the Democrat Soviet States of America!
Let’s go Brandon!
Hey commie filth…..remember when time comes…..
NO MERCY
and it WILL come.
I know to some people, your comments sound harsh. But, I so appreciate them. If we are faced, on our own soil, with war, we must have no mercy. I don’t think anyone realizes what that means. A warrior, like you, does. Regular folks need to think about it A LOT. And they need to get educated about war and what it means to kill another human being in order to protect their families, their property, and their country. A sober topic.
I live in a rural area of NC where this is a major and growing concern. Covid tyranny has already taken a toll on families, small business, small farmers – all while taxes are being raised.
I also frequent the Raleigh/Cary/RTP area where salaries and spending are eclipsing inflation. Money seems to be flowing in everywhere. It is a region dominated by BigTech, BigPharma, International banking/finance and BigGovernment. New luxury cars fill the roads, high-end grocers with full shelves on every block, packed restaurants and bars, luxury homes being crammed into every available space.
Many years ago Sundance coined it the “Liberal Vision of Utopia”
It’s the Soviet Union.
You can watch the politburo members pull up to the grocery store in their Mercedes while you’re across the street waiting in the bread line.
If you choose to throw your humanity out the window, there’s always been a lot of money to be made.
I also remember the High Flyers who made gobs of not quite real money on paper during the 80s and spent it like drunken sailors for about a decade until the bubble burst.
And the bubble will burst, they always do.
NC is experiencing what happened to VA. Northern VA never experiences an economic downturn. You have to wait in line to get into luxury stores. Everyone has so much money all tied to Big Government and Big Tech.
Raleigh RTP, a communist infected cesspool. NCSU, Duke, and who can forget the research arm of the CCP Bio-Weapon laboratory, UNC-Chapel Hill. When I received a request for alumni donations I told them to get back to me when they deport all the Chi-Com spies in their graduate programs. Still waiting.
Noticing more empty store shelves now. Fresh foods at the Sprouts down the street were cleaned out last night. A week or two ago my wife came home from work empty-handed after trying to get some milk. I haven’t been over to King Soopers (Kroger) in about a week, so I need to head over there and look around a bit. The last time I went, there were only small pockets of empty products or low products. Except in the meat department where it is slim pickings for $36 so-so cuts of meat. I’ve been into Sam’s Club a few times the last 6 weeks looking for simple stuff like chicken, and nothing is available.
There’s a Louis XVI polling floor that is probably somewhere between 15-25% where if Biden breaks through that floor, there will be social unrest that might not end well for the people in charge. It didn’t for Louis and Marie.
Tic-toc commies…..
Pretty sure that’s what they’ve gamed that out. And it’s probably a slam dunk in the downtrodden urban communities.
What they might not have a way to deal with would be civil disobedience, a turning away from the cages they’ve built and increased self-sufficiency. Live free or die, as the NH license plates say.
I’m not so sure. Our Government has been selecting for “devious, deceitful, and dumb” for a generation now. That’s how you get people like Gen. Milley in charge of the Armed Forces. The elected offices increasingly are attracting a mix of sociopaths and media-clever but otherwise unintelligence buffoons.
The big reason I’m not sure they’ve gamed this out is that the disconnect between the Cloud People and the Dirt People is off the charts. The vaccine mandates are an example of this. Most people did not get vaccinated out of fear of COVID. They got vaccinated out of fear of reprisals and retribution at work. The threats started back when vaccination rates were in the 30%’s. Now they’re higher. That’s how coercion works.
I don’t think the people in charge are actually smart enough to “game it out”.
Funny thing about gaming out…your opponent has a vote….
WE HAVEN’T CAST THAT VOTE YET…but it’s coming.
as for the “floor” I just don’t see how the old rules apply. We are very, very addicted to accepting the “new normal” every few weeks.
we do not have the stomach for resisting in the streets.
No..”we” are not…maybe the sheep, who are cowards by nature, but not “we” as in the people whom will rise up.
“We’ out number them
“We” out gun them
“We” have the Constitution on our side
And when it all falls apart…it will be “WE” who will dispensing long needed justice.
“We” reject the “new” normal for the abnormal it truly is.
Wait until people get cold or hungry. The stomach has a way of focusing the mind when the bread and circuses run out.
I don’t think people are afraid to take to the streets out of fear of violence or arrest. I think most people know that the Government can swoop in, confiscate everything you own, and disappear without so much as a whisper.
Our interconnected society has created a lot of throats that are easily cut financially.
So far so good here where we live but I imagine it will not last.
Our store’s shelves are full, we are able to stock up on all that we need so far when we shop and we are trying to make the best of it.
Maybe the shortages are regional.
I’m seeing the same thing in S Indiana. Prices are rising but product is on the grocery shelves. Cars are scarce both new and good used, houses are double from 3 years ago, roadside retail re is worth 1/2 what it was 3 years ago. Fast food is drive thru only or closed totally. No masks except schools. I’ve gone as Galt as I possibly can.
I think this will be the first time that a government has been overthrown by all political parties.
Nope…Nixon….
May I suggest that you have that backwards: This will be the first time that the citizenry overthrows all political parties.
Love it!
As Sam Kinnison said in Back To School, GOOD ANSWER.
Well! Higher food prices are already hard to swallow.
Best if I keep the cat indoors.
As a kitty-loving veterinarian, I thank you! Reowr!
Bad enough now, but these are small potatoes compared to Venezuala/Zimbabwe/Russia. Everyone knows that amassing the debt we have over the last 60 years is unhealthy…but hasn’t killed us yet. When does it kill us then?
Possible answer here
The FED will continue to print money to finance the debt and the government is spending trillions more in non-productive giveaways. The FED will print to cover that too, inflation what a shock.
There’s a lot of ruin in a nation, as they say. I’ve been surprised, since Ubu started his reign of terror, at how resilient and robust we’ve been economically. The prayer is that we, the remnant, won’t go down until after they do.
Once the dollar loses reserve status we crash bigly.
IMHO, there are actually four reasons they can’t raise rates:
All of these are built on the quicksand of cheap money.
When will we start seeing the misery index? Do we need 52 American hostages in enemy territory? Oh wait! There are thousands left behind in Biden’s* Afghanistan.
And another untold number in the DC Gulag. POWs by any other name.
Please keep them all in your prayers everyone. And their families in this season of family and friends.

Brandon’s puppets are proclaiming that any inflation we see is “transitory”. Why? Because very soon the feds need to announce the SSA and VA payment schedules for 2022, and they likely believe it’ll be much easier to shove a teensy-tinsy COLA adjustment down our throats if we believe inflation is transitory.
The only thing “transitory” is Brandon’s little warm zephyrs.
Thank PedoJoe46….
You know the thing….Ashley’s daddy….
LGBFJB.
Just came from a small town grocery store.
Went to buy stuff to make hamburgers.
Went to grab a head of lettuce & I was like, “HOLY SH*T!”?
I asked a store worker, “how much is lettuce?” with a look of shock on my face.
She said, “I know, it was $6.00 but we just couldn’t ask for that, so that’s why it’s $4.99 a head.”?
I’m used to $1.69 a head.
Guess the burgers will taste ok without lettuce. ?
I’ve eliminated the burger, just salt on a bun.
???
Get use to that vegan lifestyle. That’s part of the plan.
Lettuce a head at Walmart here in my part of Texas was $1.28 yesterday. And it was the puniest, sorriest head of the stuff I’ve ever seen.
Iceberg lettuce has zero nutritional value. If romaine or other leaf lettuce isn’t available or is ridiculously expensive, try this.
Switch to dandelion leaves….they grow like weeds (!!) and are loaded with healthy nutrients. But get rid of the bitter taste by blanching then cooling…
https://www.offthegridnews.com/off-grid-foods/the-secret-to-eating-dandelions-without-that-bitter-taste/
https://food.onehowto.com/article/how-to-make-dandelion-greens-less-bitter-9776.html
I only use iceberg lettuce for the crunch. I hate all that other crap. ?
After the Communist (D) party destroys America, I’ll remember what you said about the dandelions though. ?
That’s a lotta $$$ just for “crunch”….. ?
You might also consider growing your own lettuce indoors via the hydroponic method. There are bunches of YouTube videos on “hydroponics how-to”, and none of it looks complicated…just have to follow a few basic rules (plant spacing, light levels, nutrients, ambient temperature, and growing method)
I always buy romaine..it has the most nutritional value as far as lettuce go. I would never eat Iceburg.
Are you better off than 11 months ago?
I was young and without a care. Now I’m older.
Yes, but the future is bleak, especially post-Jan-4. And I’m not so ignorant that I can’t see a LOT of fired people suffering around me.
Anybody got any good news
Sure, LGB is on the case! “Inflation hurts Americans’ pocketbooks, and reversing this trend is a top priority for me,” Biden said in a statement after the CPI data release.
Yes, my daughter informed us she is graduating college an entire semester early. 3.5 years instead of the US average of 5-6 years.
Yes!! Jesus is coming again!
Just returned from the grocery store. My receipt was 3″ long; $50 for dog food and $75 for me – and I do all my own cooking.
By my estimates, prices are up 25% since May.
Kraft/Heinz just announced they are raising their prices an eye popping 20%.
Gotta keep those private jets flying.
Sounds like the dog needs a little training in the K9 culinary arts.
Yes. One of my German Shepherds ate 3 of my birds. I’m training her to not eat the farm animals. LOL.
The 1930s was a time of enormous false hopes and false gods.
Mussolini, and even Hitler, were seen by many Americans as the way forward. Corporatism/fascism was embraced by many prosperous Americans as the solution to the collapse of the business cycle. Check out the fascist propaganda movie Gabriel Over The White House, paid for by William Randolph Hearst and made by MGM. Rich Democrats wanted FDR to assume dictatorial powers. In many ways, he did.
The Soviet Union, even the monster Stalin, were seen by many other Americans as the future of civilization, particularly by intellectuals. When Stalin and Hitler formed a malign alliance, the Nazis became the friend and ally of American communists (for a while). This ugly truth has disappeared down the revisionist memory hole.
The Second World War abashed a lot of leftists, and produced the greatest decade in American history, the 1950s.
Why the coming of Trump brought the worst political and economic theories in human history roaring back, I have no idea. Perhaps our utopians and mere busybodies caught a glimpse of how much is possible, and became frightened by the prospect of losing their purpose for being.
Corporatism/fascism is an idea by and for the rich. Middle class affluence, the unique characteristic of the American experiment, is now being systemically transferred to the ultra-rich.
Communists are remarkably obtuse and stubborn people, but Venezuela has finally crushed their fantasy that socialism represents a viable system. Instead, they have now undertaken a perverse mission to exact vengeance on America through anarchism and nihilism, through an ultimate economic collapse. Socialism is bad, but capitalism is worse. Quite the mission in life.
Why the coming of Trump brought the worst political and economic theories in human history roaring back, I have no idea.
That’s not what happened. Trump just tore the curtain off things they have been doing for many decades. Obama was really the “knee” in the curve, when it all started exponentiating rapidly. That’s because he represented the point in time when the communists had enough infiltration into culture and institutions that they could begin the actual job of transitioning the country to a full-on Marxist state.
This is why his statement on television that “You have no idea…” in response to “Are things going to change?” was so chilling. I knew then what was up. Been waiting for open kinetic warfare ever since, but our side has shown a remarkable level of cowardice and insouciance. The communists prepared the battleground very competently.
Answer;
They had been silently building it through corruption via the people in the “deep sate” and the politicians for years. This is 100 percent Sun Tzu. The greatest victory are ones where the enemy is defeated without firing a shot. They did it through corruption.
DJT made them show themselves…THATS why they hate him, and now us. We are on to them…..and is his greatest accomplishment.
And the headline at cnnbuisness, like it just started,
“US socks sink after inflation surges”
knowing how cnn outright lies on their news, why would anyone watch their business reports? Perhaps jabbers might
Stocks go up and up…until they don’t. That’s one casino we will not enter.
As if I needed another reason to keep pulling up my socks.
My routers available network connections are visible to all nearby who are looking for a network to connect to.
Don’t hold your breathe. You are already watching Brandon’s plan.

Eleven Senate Democrats call on Biden admin to come up with a plan for soaring U.S. gas prices
https://justthenews.com/government/white-house/eleven-senate-democrats-call-biden-admin-come-plan-soaring-us-gas-prices
What’s the D plan ? “Hey Joe, you can just do what Trump was doing and when things improve you can take credit for it”.
Biden already figured out how to stop soaring gas prices. Kill the supply. Then they cannot charge anything for product not delivered.
Seriously, if you haven’t converted every square inch of your property you can into growing something to eat, start thinking about it. Get to know neighborhood gardeners, pick up a couple books on gardening for your area, visit local nurseries and start asking questions, if you have university nearby, they sometimes have agri outreach things for the public (can’t remember the name exactly, but by me in Boise, ID, they offered free 2-6 week gardening/veggie gardening classes), etc.
You can wait until Lowe’s or Home Depot get in their veggie seedlings in the spring, but you may want to look into having your own seeds and learning how to grow them (get the heirloom brands if you want to be able to harvest the seeds for next year’s crop. Hybrid seeds are “one and done.”)
I’ve hidden pepper plants and zucchini in my front yard among the flowers and shrubs already there–Homeowner’s Assn didn’t say a word…..Get creative…..
May I suggest a few “beginner” books for gardening? Square Foot Gardening, Carrots Love Tomatoes, Roses Love Garlic, and any Rodale guide (I inherited my paternal grandmother’s Rodale complete organic grower hardcover. It’s got a lot of good, if dated, information).
Stealth gardening, companion planting, and square foot methods can help keep suburbanites out of trouble with the HOAs.
Happy gardening!
If inflation continues at 6% per year, year after year, prices double in about 10 years.
If inflation goes to 10% per year and stays there, prices double in about 6 years.
Actually, it’s closer to 12 years and 7 years.
For now, subtract 6% from whatever percent you’re getting on your IRA. That’s your real rate of return.
Rule of 72…
Right now I am seeing an odd version of shortages where a certain product will be available but only in one choice. Varieties will be out for an extended time lasting 2-3 weeks.
Gas price locally has gone up 60% Nov 20 thru N0v 21.
I also see occasional empty shelves in the paper products aisle (T paper, towels, etc).
The consumer inflation numbers are only going to get worse. Of course, this is the socialist agenda and when it becomes unbearable for millions they will blame it on the rich and on the free market. Same ole play book, same dumb fools buying into the same ole lies. The up side is that MOST low information Biden supporters will, God willing, suffer the most. Unfortunately, many hard working middle class Americans who don’t support the Communist agenda will also be hurt. I’ll bet there are thousands who voted for Biden who would change their vote in a heartbeat if given a second chance. Interestingly, these same people, when asked, will never openly admit their stupidity and will defend the Biden presidency and his Democrat administration vehemently. The pain isn’t great enough yet and, after all, they believe they are the smartest people in the room. That’s the reality this nation is faced with.
Mark Twain said it’s far easier to fool someone than to get them to admit they have been fooled
This is intentional. They are trying to break us and make us fully dependent on the government for everything.
Yes, this is the endgame of the private bankers who own the Federal Reserve. As former Congressman Dr. Ron Paul warned, the Federal Reserve is a wealth confiscating operation. Financial expert Greg Mannarino says the Federal Reserve is the most powerful institution on the planet, it runs the government and right now it’s buying up the world with dollars printed out of thin air.
I don’t think they realize there is a large proportion of men who are willing to live under a tree in the woods before we give in. I am one of them. I will walk my family away from everything and never look back. They do not own us. They will never own us. We are not their slaves. I am a free man and intend to live like one until I die.
I do not intend to be a cowering lickspittle craven crawling on his belly begging these demons for a scrap of bread. I might shoot the demons dead and take the entire bread factory from them and hand bread out to the starving masses, though.
Liberating the human soul is one of my callings.
Here here
When they said you won’t own anything…….I didn’t know this is how they meant it.
Exactly! This is all by design- they have gamed all of this out.
The average American is starting to “feel” the necessary pain which comes as a result of the present United States Communist/Fascist/ Totalitarian Government. There will be much more “pain” coming down the road with collapsing retirement equity.
Once enough pain is felt the American People will get our Constitution back. It will be a return to the freedom so many prior American Patriots have fought and sacrificed.to maintain.
That collapsing retirement equity keeps me up at night. It’s all I have. It ain’t much, but it was supposed to see me out and keep me off my kid’s back when I get to be an ORF (Old Retired Fart) and maybe leave him with a little scratch to boot. Now? I am watching it pumped and dumped in real time, destroyed by this communist cabal and tax law keeps me from getting it out. I genuinely hate these people.
Be prepared to hedge yourself when the FRB is forced to raise short term rates. It’s not unAmerican to take a short position to protect your assets.
I hope all will read this and do a search for the full document.
” This manual is in itself an analog declaration of intent. Such a writing must be secured from public scrutiny. Otherwise it might be recognized as a TECHNICALLY FORMAL DECLARATION OF DOMESTIC WAR.
The solution of todays problems requires an approach which is ruthlessly candid, with no agonizing over religious , moral , or cultural values ”
from —SILENT WEAPONS FOR QUIET WARS ;
It then goes on to outline methods of ” Economic CONQUEST ” as well as subjective biological warfare.

I anticipate my picky dogs’ favorite food becoming unavailable or terribly pricey so I’m training them now (through gradual introduction) to accept any one of three brands. Also stocking up, of course.
Gas was $1.89 under Pres. Trump, now it’s $3.39 (southeastern AZ). I remember gas rationing in the 70s and dread its return.
Or you could raise rabbits… very high in protein
Born Free…Alas, not kosher.
I paid $4.69 for diesel in Flagstaff yesterday
It’s only just begun!
Welcome back to the Bush/Obama years and Obama/Biden energy policy. If you’re not hedged against inflation, you weren’t paying attention to price inflation during the Bush/Obama years in the commodities markets. And how did Paul Volcker tackle inflation? MMT eventually leads to hyperinflation.
My health insurance is going up 15% next year. The raise I will get will not cover the increase. That doesn’t count everything else going up, so at least a 10% drop in earnings next year for the middle class even with a raise built in.
Mom got her Eliquis refilled yesterday. The co-pay on Part D Medicare more than doubled. $45 to over $100. No warning, no explanation, nothing, just “That’ll be your entire SS check, Mrs. Little Old American Widow Lady. Have a nice day!”
That’s the plan inflate away social security obligations, print the money to pay for it and pay with dollars worth 6 plus percent less annually. The Treasury (left pocket) borrows the printed money from the FED (right pocket) and pays 1% interest for the loan. Clever.
And the interest can never be repaid in dollars because we owed interest on the first dollar ever created. Perpetual debt slavery.
You might want to shop around and ask Pharmacies what their “cash price” is. Is there a generic option for Eliquis? I’ve found my Part D to be pert near useless. Just thinking out loud.
Try the SingleCare or GoodRx phone apps or websites for easy path to lower Rx costs. Found it 60% cheaper on a specific ointment (teen mask acne) than Caremark employer Rx coverage.
Thank you for the excellent article which clearly explains what appears to be the purposeful actions of the federal government to drive prices up and up.
My question is why? Is this the ends (Progressive utopia) justifying the means whether constitutional or not? If so, Biden should be impeached after the midterms.
If you don’t already, practice “perimeter shopping” at the grocery store.
The perimeter is where “less processed” products are, the center is “more processed”.
Better yet, again if you aren’t already, consider “subsistence farming/gardening”; you can start with SPICES. Most gardening centers sell various spices, in plants already in pots; oregano, cilantro, etc.
In many/most cases, the price for the plant, is less than the small bottle of the same spice, in the grocery store.
And, this gives you an opportunity to develop your green thumb, and make mistakes BEFORE you are depending on your growing skills, to keep from starving.
Then, you can gradually add in fruits and vegetables, as you gain proficiency.
Oh darn, POTUS Trump said this would happen –
He was right again and again and again and again.
But hey, no more mean tweets!
While the MSM condemns the use of ivermectin, the most populated state in India just declared they are officially COVID free after promoting widespread use of the safe, proven medicine. In addition to this, Ivermectin attaches to covid spikes and prevents them from binding to ACE2. Get your Ivermectin today while you still can! https://ivmpharmacy.com
or Tractor Supply…
Kraft has already pledged a 20% increase across the board on every product they sell.
It won’t be long and we will be seeing this same thing or higher from all companies including Nestle while they make billions sucking our local water supply.
Within a yr we will see $5 a gallon gas
They want the energy industry under their control blackout gas and oil shortages who control the flow of energy have the power it will be getting a lot colder, FJB they want to tax your exhales carbon footprint.
ya know i figure thats what covid is all about.when you are born you get a social security number,so when you start working they start sucking up a percentage,so if they can get covid to let you live to be say 61 yrs old and it kills ya then all that money they now get to spend.so in effect s.s. is a tax for living or a carbon tax for all the co2 you expel thru your life.and i think last i saw there are close to 60 million on s.s. so at say 1k per month.your looking 720 billion per year.
