This might be somewhat preaching to the choir, but it’s the only way I know to help Treepers prepare their families according to very visible economic signals happening just over the horizon. Back in August, when we discussed the massive inflation that was climbing straight up, I warned everyone to look behind the finished good prices, into the prices of origination and intermediate goods. {Go Deep}
The “producer price index” is essentially the tracking of wholesale prices at three stages: Origination (commodity), Intermediate and Final. The final product inflation rate in July (reported in August) was alarming at 7.8%. However, we warned of much higher flowing into the supply chain.
Today, The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) released stunning price data for October [DATA Here], showing a dramatic 8.6% price increase in Final Demand products at the wholesale level. As expected prices are still going up, and there’s no end in sight, because the raw material inflation is still higher than current.
[BLS] “The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 0.6 percent in October, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Final demand prices moved up 0.5 percent in September and 0.7 percent in August. (See table A.) On an unadjusted basis, the final demand index rose 8.6 percent for the 12 months ended in October.” (more)
I modified Table A (final demand product pricing) taking out some of the noise to make it a little easier to see the big picture of what is happening.
When you see the wholesale level of prices almost double the increase in consumer level inflation rate, you can predict that consumer prices will likely go even higher. Future finished goods at a retail level will carry the current wholesale price increase.
Stuff costs a lot now… and because the inbound stuff to make the finished goods is still climbing in price…. stuff is about to cost even more. You can see this in the inflation rate of intermediate goods which I have highlighted below.
You can see from Table A that finished good prices are still climbing. That’s the higher price inflation you are feeling when you buy a product.
More alarming is to look at the “intermediate demand” products [Table B below] as they flow through the manufacturing system. Two types of products are at the intermediate wholesale level: Processed Goods, and Unprocessed goods.
I have again modified Table B to remove the noise. Notice two key aspects:
(1) Prices for both types of products are still climbing in the manufacturing process. Compare August, Sept., and Oct., noticing how the prices are still climbing. Some of that has to do with energy and fuel costs still climbing. The increasing prices for gasoline build into each part of the transportation process.
(2) Notice the scale of the increase in the prices from prior months. The trend line is not leveling off, instead it’s doing the opposite. The rate of inflationary climb (price increase), at the intermediate level of goods coming into the system, is getting even more steep. The stuff coming into the manufacturing process is not only costing more, it is costing much more than before.

The wholesale prices of products into the system that end up at the retail level is still through the roof. In a major way, this is being driven by massive increases in energy costs throughout the entire supply chain.
This is going to get even uglier. Even if wages jumped in price 5% overnight (single month), which would be a large increase in wages, those wage increases are nowhere near enough to deal with this level of price increase at a consumer level. A nickel more per dollar earned is futile against a loaf of bread costing $1 more, or gasoline at $4.00/gal.
Do what you can do now to start preparing your weekly budget in ways you may not have thought about before. Shop sales, use coupons, look for discounts and products that can be reformulated into multiple meals or multiple uses. Shelf-stable food products that can be muti-purposed with proteins is a good start.
Consider purchasing the raw materials for cleaning products and reformulate them yourself to avoid these massive increases in petroleum costs. Most working families use laundry detergent, and that cost is going through the roof with no signs of slowing down.
♦ EXAMPLE – Several years ago, a dear friend showed us a method for making laundry detergent at home along with a bucket. After using this for several weeks (and then making it) I was stunned at how simple, cost-effective, and good it works. Not only does it save big $$, but it works better than, or at least as good as, Tide or any other high-priced name brand product for literally pennies on the dollar.
What You’ll Need: {check your local store’s laundry aisle}
- 1/2 Cup: Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda {not Baking Soda}
- 1/2 Cup: Borax {you might be able to print a coupon here}
- 1/3 Bar of Fels-Naptha Soap {Mark the bar in thirds before using}
- Bucket {3 gallon size }
- Empty laundry detergent containers or bucket with lid to store detergent.
How to make:
Use small cheese grater to grate 1/3 bar of Fels-Naptha Soap over large pot or saucepan…
- Add 6 cups of water.
- Heat over medium-high until soap dissolves and melts.
- Add 1/2 cup Washing Soda & 1/2 cup Borax, and stir until dissolved.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Pour 4 cups hot water into bucket, then add Soap Mixture.
- Stir well, then add 1 Gallon + 6 Cups of additional water. Stir.
- Transfer to a bucket with a lid, or pour into empty laundry detergent containers.
- Set aside, and let it sit overnight, or up to 24 hours, to thicken and gel up. It will likely turn into a gel overnight.
- Consistency and color will vary depending on your soap & water ~ it may be lumpy and watery ~ kind of like a watery gel, but it works great!
- Stir or shake before each use, as it will continue to gel.
How Much Will it Cost?
- Borax, 76 oz. box ~ $2.98
- Arm & Hammer Washing Soda, 55 oz. box ~ $2.99
- Fels-Naptha Bar of Soap ~ $1.79
- Total Cost to make around 2 gallons: About $1.00!!
- This amount filled up my large empty extra-large Tide container from Costco and a smaller Purex container!
This recipe makes a low-sudsing detergent, and remember, it will turn to a liquid/gel after it settles, so you will need to shake the container before use. You can also pour it into a spray bottle to use as a pre-spot treatment. The 3 ingredients will make at least 3 batches and will last a long time.
I would not present this idea if it did not work exceptionally well, this was one of the most useful tricks I learned to stretch a budget that really does save money and work even better than high-priced laundry detergents. The home made detergent even removes hard soils and red clay stains from clothing remarkably well.
We are all in this together!

FWIW, my theory (I can’t necessarily say correct, but I think at least sound) is that for some years now we’ve had an axis of the CCP and Globalist interests working together to: create a Corporatist Fascist type regime controlling the entire globe, neutering (if not eliminating) nation-states, i.e., the Great Reset. (And behind those forces, Satan.)
To execute successfully they knew they had to take-down the one power sting enough to resist, the U.S. So the CCP has been busy compromising / subverting officialdom here (either bought-off or blackmailed), while the Globalists subverted through Cultural Marxism (through media and education) and peddling the faux “crisis” of “climate change” and its “sustainability.” They haven’t been shy about advertising 2030 as their target date to have all in place.
The unexpected election of Trump in 2016 threw sand in those gears, and threatened to derail the whole thing. Hence the coup of 11/3/2020 planned and executed by enemies domestic and enemies foreign.
Thus, a CCC puppet regime was installed in the White House. I believe that Obama and his crew are running it here as the middle-managers for the axis.
Climate changes every winter and temperatures plummet causing heating bills to soar. The JoeBama administration can’t wait for that to happen so they can get more money for solar panels and wind turbines that are more reliable than fossil fuels, and prices aren’t controlled by OPEC.
I hope your joking ! If not OMG!!
The solution is so obvious, obviously. Since everyone knows that as temperatures drop the colder it gets, just mandate that thermometers are not allowed to register anything below 70. And then fine people for wasting energy if they insist on heating their homes when it’s already 70 degrees inside the home. And fine them again if they try to stiff the government on their fines by insisting they are stiff, as in frozen stiff, as in dead stiff. I can’t believe that no one thought of this before I was elected president. 81 million stiffs voted for me for a reason.
Thanks for the. info SD. My sister has been making her own spot remover for years.
I bought a few years supply of detergent, and other things, from a grocery store going out of business sale at 75 % off.
It was their last day and I was surprised how much was still there. I have a pile ground coffee and beans as well from the same sale. That was last year and I still using it by expiration date. Some have a very long shelf life.
I have enough underwear until death. I went to a Kmart 4 years ago and paid very little for Fruit of the Loom. I felt like a ghoul shopping in a dying store that was 3/4 empty with out of season clothing still on the racks.
I always by in quantity when things are on sale
Would you believe that Kmart bought Sears. How F’d up was that!
Our old Sears is a COVID shot center!!!!
Been a viewer of the “Preppers” information for a number of years because of the place I live and the weather changes and earthquakes know to be happening although I am not a true Prepper….I have been storing all kinds of stuff, not just food, in food grade 5 gallon buckets for years. Started shortly after my husband passed away. Keep a list and date, (for replacing stuff) hopefully before it expires although some haven’t made the grade since I don’t use it as often as I thought. Learning what to replace, when and how long it is good for is the trick for me. I’m old, and still have plenty to last me for a long time without having to go to a store. Cause if one is conservative one knows that they need to be prepared when, not if, the SHTF.
I don’t know about my fellow Treepers, but I am now in the same ‘horror mindset’ that I had back in Jan-March of 2020. Like disbelief…akin to “this can’t be happening” but I am watching it unfold.
Petroleum drives (no pun intended) the middle class. We need it to get to work. So we can get a paycheck, to pay our bills and buy food.
One people can’t feed their families and can’t stay warm that’s when the knives come out.
Get food so you can survive the first three months.
at lease that much.
I feel even worse now. A virus we could have probably dealt with and been out the other side. Now it feels like creeping doom
Ok, what will be the crossing number where the occupant’s poll number is the same as the inflation number with one going up and the other going down?
Because the 38% approval came from a USA Today poll, the occupant’s real approval is probably considerably lower. My guess would be the number where inflation and disapproval are the same number is 16%.
I hope I’m wrong.
…and you know that the BLS is bending over backwards to tilt the inflation rate down so Biden doesn’t look any worse than necessary! The BLS is no different than the FBI, DOJ, FDA and the CDC. They are all divisions of the Democrat Party!
Freeze dried emergency food kits are escalating too. Up from $60 15-20 day food supply to almost $100 now.
And it is mostly stuff that has sat on the shelves for months before price increases went into effect…..Saw it happen in the store I worked in….if & when the news said something was in short supply, the owners raised the price of what was already on the shelf or in the area where stuff was gonna be in short supply, (but it never came back down either).
Can’t you just get 500 top ramens from $1 tree and seal them in an airtight container… they sold them 5 to a pack. Just thinking back to college…. I know it’s not nutritious, but just to live….
desertson: You’re doin’ great, although I’m gonna need verification that Obama actually attended Columbia.
Wonderful idea with the soap.
I spent the summer gardening and started canning and freezing in the fall.
Not only are my stored foods better tasting, they’re inexpensive and healthier. Plus, I have them when the store doesn’t.
Good idea with the home canning and produce if possible.
This doing it yourself does not have to be all horrible and nasty.
WE can still enjoy life and be happy and content with some life style changes.
We can also stop buying the cheap Chinese junk that is constantly pushed down our throats.
Our family has lived this way our whole married life so much of this is not new for us.
We started decades ago trying to build up a food and necessity supply and now after forty years of learning and working we have a storage room that would rival any small grocery store.
But we started out very small with just a few cans of vegetables, packages of pasta and a few frozen pounds of hamburger.
We did not have the funds to purchase and store any thing but the very inexpensive very much needed items of food.
We were able to move on after years of work to buying in bulk when things were on sale because of the build up of food and things we had in storage.
But it took a while to work to this and learn what worked for our family.
Our children wore lots of yard sale and hand me downs with great pride and with limited income we were able to afford season ski passes and that was the fun part.
Doing without endlessly and acting like we are on the short end of the stick is not how we looked at our life style.
We were better fed, clothed and had money to go skiing and on family vacations than the people who bought gobs of crap for their kids.
I am not happy with the government deliberately driving up the price of heat, food and gas, this must end.
We need to let them know we will not put up with this, but not having cheap Chines junk at our fingertips is not exactly a deprivation.
I even got a dehydrator after reading that one could dehydrate frozen fruits and veggies. I’ve tried it and it works.
You will have nothing and like it!
Floggings will continue until morale improves.
The policy makers job openings should continue until policy improves….
Exodus’s new album has a tune called ‘The Beatings Will Continue (Until Morale Improves)’.
When Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, and Prince Charles

You will like it because you will get to play video games all day and never leave your house. You will get to play for bigger and bigger prizes till you get to heaven. That’s why you will be happy.
I would add 1/2 cup of trisodium phosphate if you really want to get your clothes clean.
But that is a very harsh chemical. A lot of people started making this homemade detergent in order to avoid the chemicals, the residue of which will always lie against your skin. People are also making dryer sheets to avoid this problem. I don’t use dryer sheets I just use a little vinegar in the water.
Love the recipe & thanks !
Well, that’s what happens when you simultaneously print trillions and trillions of dollars and collapse the economy. We all knew this was coming with the very first COVID “stimulus”. And the second. And the third. And so on and on.
We should have seen this coming with the last budget in 2007. Everything since then has been a Continuing Resolution.
SD has written that almost everything that is going on to us right now is by design. I feel on the back of my neck this is real

Robinson Crusoe. Great, great novel by Defoe. Forget the movie with, of all people, Pierce Brosnan playing the lead.
The general goal will be to increase ALL prices while depreciating the currency as much as possible.
This is in order to bankrupt as many working class Americans as possible.
What we are seeing is a close analogue to Venezuela.
When you are inside of a depreciating currency system, you go broke. And you stay broke. Total and complete dependence.
This is very serious and will last for at least another 3 years.
All of the people at the bottom, wage-earners and savers, will be bankrupted.
Those at the top who hold assets (stocks, real estate, farm-land, etc..) will remain mostly stable.
This is to purposely stratify the system into a Brazil-type one; an uber-powerful wealthy elite at the top and an impoverished class at the bottom. Their goal is to WIDEN the divide between the two classes.
They’re not too worried about non-party people being in the wealthy class with them – they can address that later.
The goal is to remove all power from the lower classes. Make them totally destitute and dependent. Then, when the communists offer you your own tax-money in the form of food or housing, you will be ultra-grateful.
I’ve called the US and Europe have been doing the “South America” model for over a decade. For hundreds of years South America has been a tiny white ruling class lording over a mass of broke Mestizos. Economic systems have come and gone, but the song remains the same.
This will work better in the US, as they are importing a lower-class stock that is more compatible with the host, while still being accustomed to low economic mobility and being ruled by small group of white people. Europe f*cked around and is going to find out that their imported lower-class doesn’t give a damn about their plan. When the freebies run out the ‘elite’ over there aren’t going to know what hit them.
We have been attacked by an enemy. They have stolen several billion dollars of our military equipment. They are invading us with masses of foreigners. They are cutting off our fuel supply. They setting siege to our ports and trying to starve us and and cut off goods and services. They trying to kill us with bio weapons.
Our enemy is our own government. Is this not exactly what the constitution predicted and remedied?
And We the People are letting them while the 2nd amendment sits idly on a backroom shelf. And they know it!
The 2nd Amendment is the only reason we’re still able to talk about how it sits idle. All it has to be is a threat. That’s enough to keep them from going all-out totalitarian today.
When it actually has to be used it will be the last, worst resort.
Obama’s rise was predicted by Tom Fife in Russia. Bill Ayers anticipated foreign nations would carve up the US.
I do not discount the possibility that foreign nations are indirectly influencing the current course of events. I think the opposition movement as a whole should also prepare to begin defining the Democratic Party as a whole as a “national security” crisis.
and a sizable segment of the democrat party are wearing republican robes

(facepalm)
As Candace Owens poignantly asks in her latest video post, “What is it going to take for some people to finally wake up?!”
There is absolutely no way that the overwhelming majority of Americans cannot see the country rapidly deteriorating before our eyes! But yet, for far too many, to admit it would be to acknowledge that pretty much everything they have put their faith into is an illusion at best and is probably flat-out evil… I guess it’s easier to direct their anger at those of us telling the truth than to admit that they believed the increasingly obvious lies.
That’s the $ 64,000 question.
And after they “wake up” – then what?
They will look around for all those people that they derided and mocked, hoping that one of them will be coming to their rescue but alas, there will be no one left to save them!
So how is that a plan? Forget those people. Conservatives need to stop waiting for the mythical “wake up”.
Oh, it’s not a plan…simply a prediction of what will happen when the sheeple FINALLY awaken! I plan to be far away AND well prepared by that point!
How do you “prepare” for a Soviet dictatorship? Because that is the endgame.
attributed to Mark Twain – it’s much easier to fool a man than to get him to admit that he was fooled
People are awake. The problem is they’re afraid to take action, otherwise their guns will be seized. Like all other communist revolutions, the populace will fail to stop it before it starts, and it’s already started.
There are many who do not fear but do not advertise their actions or their plans.
I have said before that my mother and grandfather were workers in the “French underground” as it has been called.
They did not talk much about it but I did learn a bit about the thinking or mindset of the people who made this group up.
My mother was about 15 years old and a few photos of her survived the war.
At 15 she was already 5′ 9″ tall with long, way auburn hair and looked a lot older than 15.
I believe her job was to distract the German soldiers while others in her group did their job.
Not everyone in the Norwegian, Holland and French resistance during WWII shot things or blew things up.
A lot of the members were housewives, grandparents and youth.
An elderly grandmother who made sure she ate a lot of raw garlic and fresh onions for lunch then set out to pass through the Nazi check points was passed through quickly when the soldiers saw an old lady that needed a bath and seemed to want to chat a bit too much so they sent her on her way quickly.
They had no idea that this old grandma had important intelligence for the resistance under her dirty skirt, they just wanted her gone and out of their hair.
Same thing with an elderly slightly dirty peasant grandpa leading a cow he said was trying to sell to buy some food for his family.
He was trying to chat up the German soldiers and tying to sell the skinny starving cow to them and they wanted him gone so they waved him passed check point after checkpoint not knowing he also had resistance intelligence under his smelly shirt or in his dirty pants.
The camo was perfect because these people were exactly who they appeared to be, elderly peasants.
They might have exaggerated the garlic breath and gone without washing for a few days and the dirty torn clothing was a streatch but this is exactly what the smug Germans expected from the local foreigners.
The Germans had been taught that they were the elite ARYAN superior race and were destined to rule over the dumb inferior rest of the world and the rest of the world played them like a cheap violin.
And the Nazis fell for it.
We do not all have to be trained Army Rangers or Navy SEALs to fight this enemy and I might have given away a lot more than I intended but we need to understand our strengths.
We all have skills to use in this battle.
Some can distract with gentle smiles and chatter, the elderly the youth the housewife and the shopkeeper can do excellent work.
We do not all need to use guns and fists to fight and win.
Start honing your skills and talents.
Keep the Faith and stand with courage.
Hard economic times makes it easy for a criminal government to start a war. Purging of the NCO corps is in full swing. Officers are a dime a dozen and expendable. Not so experienced NCO’s. The Draft will replenish the military- with cannon fodder. Hey BLM, Antifa, Snowflake supporters, your gonna get to fight. Your gonna die on Taiwan! Neat huh? Xin Loi.
I learned a little about that phrase in Xin Loi, Viet Nam: Thity-one Months of War: A Soldier’s Memoir by Al Sever.
Never gonna happen. Military is being purged. US loses all war games nowadays. After infrastructure, electric, and energy systems are weakened to collapse, probably a provocation in the South China Sea, followed by a pre-emptive nuclear strike, as predicted by Anatoliy Golitsyn, Jeff Nyquist, and Joel Skousen.
Within the context of an impending foreign attack, current moves make a lot of sense.
At some point dog food will be more expensive than hamburger.
Soylent green time then?
My only concern now is my 401Ks. I’m thinking of turning them into self directed IRAs. But I guess I can’t buy physical gold with them.
Meanwhile, the corporatist propaganda machine is ignoring the cost of gas. Here in Calimexistan it’s over 5 bucks for premium, and this in The OC. God Know what it costs in LA an the Bay Area.
You can also do a similar soap concoction for the dishwasher using either the Fells soap or Zote soap and some baking soda with about a dime sized amount of dish washing (not dishwasher) liquid.
Already stocked up as much as I can on tp and meat.
Let’s see when the pitchforks and torches come out.
If the left thinks America will turn to them for a solution to problems they created, they are really out of touch.
What? You’re gonna thank the person hitting you in the head with a hammer when they stop? And then you’ll pay them to never hit you in the head again?
This whole Saul Alinsky thing may have worked up to to 60’s but nobody is singing Kumbaya anymore except for the failed radicals who are trying one last time to implement love and peace and tolerance. Problem is, as you see in SlowJoe, these people have led lives of frustration and anger and INtolerance and will go to their graves with it. Sooner than later if we’re paying attention.
It’s also time for gardens to make a comeback. I have been using the square foot method in raised beds for years and grow almost all my own vegetables for fresh eating and some extra for the freezer. New way to eat kale by the way that actually tastes good. Boil it till tender, drain, add it to a pan with a little sesame oil and butter, serve it with a mix of soy sauce, gojujang, and miso with sesame seeds .
You really do not understand who is in charge or why they are doing what they are doing.
We have foreign-connected subversive elements crashing the system in order to institute authoritarianism.
Please wake up.
“I have been using the square foot method in raised beds for years and grow almost all my own vegetables for fresh eating and some extra for the freezer.”
I can recommend without reservation Mel Bartholomew’s ingenious system for maximizing produce yields.
The only drawback to establishing your own square foot garden plot is locating a reliable source of vermiculite to create Mel’s mix.
If you can’t find it in sufficient quantity at your local garden center, try sourcing it from a pool supply company. They often use it as a liner base when installing above ground pools.
I’ll try the soap thing.
That’s what the prisoner said 🙂
Familiar with all of the above ingredients and have in my laundry room. We have been adding Borax to wash (as an extra to get extra clean) for years and in our area it is much more expensive than 2.98–closer to $5 but still a bargain. I have the ‘how to make’ saved and will be making in the near future. I also keep Lestoil for hard to clean stains and have stocked up on it as well.
Sundance’s recipe for laundry soap is very good.
It also doe not hurt to try and start building up a ready made supply if possible.
If funds are short then spend them on basic food supply and do not forget salt, oil and other spices for cooking.
These can make all the difference in lifting the spirits and are not expensive.
If possible include a few treats.
Can’t wait for somebody from the Biden cabal to come out and proclaim “all is well” and “this is totes normal” and “hey, you can still buy a hot dog for Thanksgiving for the same price as last year”.
The thing that is going to crush most people is home heating this winter. Natural gas, oil, electricity are all way up and account for half of the PPI increase if I’m reading the table correctly. That’s civil unrest territory if people can’t afford to heat their homes, or they’re trying so hard not to freeze to death they don’t have enough money left to buy meat to feed their kids because meat prices are inflating at 20-30%…
They are not scared of civil unrest. They don’t care if people starve. They control the propaganda stations.
Thanks, SD, this is the same recipe I have but I don’t add water, I just use it powdered.
Here’s one for HE washers:
1/2 C. Borax
1/2 C. Washing soda (Arm & Hammer laundry booster in the laundry aisle)
1/2 C. Liquid Dawn dish soap
4 C. Hot water
Clean, empty gallon plastic jug
Put first 3 ingredients in the jug, add hot water and shake until all is dissolved. Add cold water to fill jug. Shake before each use. 1/4 cup per regular load.
Thank you for this recipe as well. I haven’t bought any spot remover for years. Dawn dish soap does a great job on spots…even old grease spots.
So here’s the crux of the entire Fed Monetary Policy – “The committee will aim to achieve inflation moderately above 2 percent for some time so that inflation averages 2 percent over time and longer-term inflation expectations remain well anchored at 2 percent” – is this a joke ?
Inflation is a terrible word to describe the phenomenon. Yes, they are “inflating” the money supply, which results in “inflating” prices, but what is really happening is a targeted, intentional, CRIMINAL, depreciating theft and destruction of the People’s currency.
With exploding inflation, it is far better to hold assets of value than to squirrel away currency.
Cash goes down in value every day while important “things” increase in value every day.
Determine what crucial items you need and stockpile them.
Actually cash is good to have incase someone has a firesale, then you get something for 10 cents on the dollar.
I hope all before me realize this NOT bad policy this is INTENDED policy … all of it !!
????
I have a lot of faith in our Treepers.
Even if we sit down to a table set with rice and beans for the Holidays I believe we and our families and friends will rise to the occasion and fill the room with rejoicing.
This Cabal of Criminals that is trying to run our beautiful Country into the ground will not win the war on our Minds and Hearts.
Sundance is a wonderful leader and we have learned a lot.
We we never give in to despair and will fight on forever against the Evil that we are up against.
Our Thanksgivings and our Christmas’s are not made up of junk from a foreign country like China that send us expensive cheap stuff but from our American Spirit that will never be broken.
Our so called elected political leaders may dance to the tune of an evil enemy but We the People do not.
America is so much more than materialism and we are getting ready to show the world exactly what we are really made of.
In my area Western North Carolina, our grocery store (Ingles) has been out of Borax for several months they don’t know when it will be available.
Amazon has it…i know we hate Amazon…but it may be the only place to get it.
There’s definitely other places to get it. You just have to search a bit more online.
One of my daughters texted me the other day when she got her Columbia Gas bill (central Ohio). She said that this November it is .79/CCF. Last year it was .41/CCF. In 2019 it was .37/CCF. So, heating costs will be double this winter. I went through and reprogrammed my thermostat schedule. Hopefully, the warmer weather pattern will hold out this season. Hubby saw some of the temps I was putting in, and I told him, it’s ok, you’re sleeping and won’t notice it’s 62 lol.
I hope she (and everyone else) has flannel sheets.
That’s awful. People are gonna have to prepare for that.
Not only do prices go up.
As prices go up, quality goes DOWN.
So- if you can – get extras of long-lasting stuff.
Inflation may be going up fast but it will not outpace the rising cost of allowing the Installed-One and his administration to occupy the White House!
Think what bothers me the most about price increases is the fact that many if not most of the retailers are increasing the products that they have on hand and bought before price increases were in effect.
Well the retailers have to purchase the products that now cost more.Just Saying
Will the laundry detergent mix work in HE front loading washers?
yes. it is low-sudsing.
Does anyone seriously think that it is possible to accumulate enough detergent for the next fifty years? Finally, the solution has been found, congratulations.
The rape of America continues. See the short essay “Potemkin Village on the Potomac” by James Rawles:
James Rawles: Potemkin Village on the Potomac. Get ready. (survivalblog.com)
Be prepared for them to shut off your power. Don’t forget cooking oil, beans and yeast and cider vinegar, salt and tea.
I had a friend who prepped. She said that she did it once a decade ago and then realized you will probably never need it. So what you should buy is stuff that NEVER goes bad. FInd a spot for it and hope your kids throw it away when you die. It might not taste good twenty years later, but you will think it does if you are starving. She said get a trash can that seals tight and the mice can’t get into( (look for the little holes) and fill it with beans and rice. Mice don’t eat sugar. Maybe she said oats too, can’t remember. Also get some powdered sugar drinks like Tang or Koolaid for vit C. Dried broth (goes bad but lasts long) as it can add flavor. Seeds like tomatoes, zucchini, rhubarb; the easy things to grow. Solar charger for phone (and more if you can afford it). Don’t anticipate gas will be readily avail. I’d was looking for one that charges batteries. Anyone have a suggestion?
I was thinking a motor cycle that can get you out of Dodge if the traffic backs up.
Ya’ll know they are going to cut the power off. Right?

I honestly don’t care much anymore. We know there will be a new Holodomor and I know for sure that Conservatives will still act like they can wait it out, no action need be taken. Surely it will all go back to normal once more than half the population has died off.
Never change Conservatives, never change :/

I’ve been using the same ingredients to make laundry soap for about 10 years I think. But I make a dry version. Just mix the three together and keep it in a powder form by the laundry room. It doesn’t take much. And then I make a little liquid bottle for spots.
Thank you for posting this! If you have any other survival recipes, please share. That goes for anyone!
I’ve taken to calling calling Biden Joe sledgehammer. He takes a sledgehammer to everything while his staff laughs like hyenas and say preposterous things. They do not care what you think or how you feel or if you starve or if you have gas for your car. Their god is the earth and its climate, their mission is to save it…from YOU! You are evil in their eyes and nothing about you matters. They only want a few slaves left anyway, so the faster you die the happier they are.
That’s all I can think and it’s very scary because now we know we are in a war truly between good and evil and everybody better wake up to that. And PRAY.

We haven’t seen the last thing yet. Remember the bread line in Soviet Union? Black market will be norm in a few months.
We use that general recipe, with these changes:
Also, white vinegar for the rinse cycle.
Vinegar and baking soda cleans everything nicely.
The ABC stores around here are having shortages. Wine seems abundant in stores, at least the cheap stuff.
