A comprehensively incompetent U.S. Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm, has the audacity to say that Biden’s administration has no responsibility for gas prices likely to reach $4/gal, and Americans this year are almost certain to pay historic amounts for home heating oil and natural gas.
Everything in this soundbite from her interview with CNN is stunningly false, manipulative and misleading. The U.S. has an abundant amount of energy resources, likely more oil than all other OPEC countries combined in Alaska alone. The issue is a current administration that refuses to extract oil and natural gas because they are purposefully and intentionally intent on destroying the U.S. economy under the guise of climate change.
Granholm admits that gasoline is likely to go beyond $4/gal in the national average, and home heating costs are almost certain to crush Americans this year. Infuriating to see such willful stupidity go unchallenged. WATCH:
So what can a U.S. President and administration specifically do?
We have abundant U.S. energy resources. Quite literally the strongest in the entire world.
- Permit the use of preexisting approved leases in ANWAR (Alaska) to put more volume into the Alaskan oil pipeline that is severely underutilized.
- Finish the Dakota access pipeline.
- Reapprove the preexisting energy leases in New Mexico, Arizona, NE Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
- Retract the stoppage of the Keystone pipeline to permit efficient oil transport shipments from Canada.
- Stop blocking the expansion of coastal oil refineries in Texas, Louisiana and Alabama (regulatory issue), as well as Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Seaboard.
- Continue to develop natural gas as a clean burning fuel.
- Drive Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as an export.
None of this requires any approval from OPEC. Strategically, the all of the above approach enhances U.S. national security and diminishes the influence of Russia, China and Iran. Within six months of the above, gasoline will plummet.

The technology to convert these industries to so-called “sustainable” resources is in its infancy, not even close to being able to support the economies of nations. There is no magic potion. The reality is our economic prosperity for the near term (50 to 100 years) is immutably linked to petroleum products.
Now, I note that you digress to politics. Tying the demise of the “current epoch” to the political aspirations of the left, in the near term (2022 and 2024) provides abundant evidence of your political aspirations. Interesting as well, is you seem to believe that merely hoping the left can overcome the economic debacle that ignoring technology will bring to this nation, is a tactic worthy of praise. AGW or Manmade Global Warming is a hoax. The theory behind it is that Human emissions of CO2 is causing additional heating of the atmosphere due to CO2 trapping heat which cause more water vapor to be evaporated which in turn traps more heat causing the atmosphere to heat up even more. The whole process bootstraps up to higher and higher temperatures melting the icecaps, enlarging deserts and flooding coastal cities. They back up this claim with fraudulent temperature data fed into bogus computer models.
Like all good hoaxes there is a kernel of truth in it. CO2 is a weak “greenhouse gas”. Increasing CO2 leads to an increase of heat retention in the atmosphere. However the effect is minuscule. The actual temp increase for a 10 fold increase in CO2 level in the atmosphere is approximately 0.28 degrees C at 67 degrees C ( 153 deg F) and 0.007 degrees at 0 deg C. This can be calculated from engineering calculations that have been used and refined for about 100 years. This will result in miniscule addition water evaporation and polar ice melting. I have confirmed these numbers experimentally. In our experiments with atmospheres of in excess of 35,000 ppm CO2 we saw only 1.7 degree C additional at 67 degree C and at the end of the day the temperature came back down to ambient about 15 to20 minutes later than a normal atmosphere, it also took 15 to 20 minutes longer to warm up in the morning, which is what we would expect. I repeat it is thermodynamically impossible for CO2 to produce the amount of atmospheric temperature increases the Climate Change Models predict. Humans account for only 3% of the CO2 produced during the carbon cycle. You are right there have been iceages and interglacial periods in the past well before Humans arrived as the earth warmed and cooled in response the natural forces far beyond our meager abilities to produce. In short the earth has warmed and cooled in the past but changing CO2 levels did not cause it.
My suspicion is the poles are about to flip. Happens every 15k years. It would have to cause a disturbance in magnetosphere, which is the single largest deflector of solar radiation. Global warming. I don’t know that six months of reversing policies could have much effect. Oil companies know you can’t trust the democrats. They can invest millions of dollars and Biden just shut it all down one day.
The oil industry has shut down most capital spending and projects since Biden stopped the Keystone pipeline project. They are only doing the ones required to keep facilities safely operating and finishing existing projects that can not be stopped practically. The result of all this is less domestic production. Soon layoffs will start and skilled and experienced employees will be lost for good, due to demographics, economics and management culture these employees can not be replaced in a practical time frame. US production and refining will decline and oil companies will shift their operations overseas causing the US economy will slow even more and energy prices for consumers will escalate even more rapidly. There is no practical alternative to petroleum right now so US living standards will drop probably for the next 50 to 100 years.

I detect that this is supposed to reassure those who suspect, and correctly, that it will be more like $5-6 per gallon, and higher in certain (Blue-ish) regions. This is to settle down their manipulated idiots who evidently in their trembling about everything have indicated that they are starting to worry about the titanic failures of these policies. What the people want, corporate mouthpiece liar says; is sweeping bills curtailing freedom and the right to cheat in elections. Of course! We all know that. Those laws will likely be adopted from the proving grounds of California which kept gasoline prices above $3.50 when Trump was in office and the nation paid a paltry $1.90. $2,50. a gallon just 1 year ago. $3.50 rose to $4.80 in just nine Biden Obama months. Just .14 – .15 cents a gal, a month. Fifteen gallons to fill up is $2.25 more each tankful each new month. Get ready and plan.
