Hollywood actor, producer and political activist Alec Baldwin is a man of notoriously intemperate disposition. Prone to angry outbursts and uncontrollable anger, the unstable Mr. Baldwin is well known for physical and verbal violence against people he dislikes {link} even his own children.
Yesterday the 68-year-old Baldwin shot two people on a film set in New Mexico killing one and seriously injuring another. Mr Baldwin killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza. The unstable actor claims he shot them accidentally and has reportedly said he is sorry to the husband of the deceased woman he killed.
Vanity Fair – […] “Details surrounding the shooting, which occurred while a scene was being filmed, are still forthcoming. “Santa Fe County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Bonanza Creek Ranch movie set of the Western Rust, October 21, 2021, when an 911 caller reported a shooting on the set,” investigators confirmed to Vanity Fair Friday. According to Sheriff’s department spokesman Juan R. Rios, “Mr. Baldwin met with investigators and provided a statement and answered their questions. He then left our agency. No charges have been filed and no arrests have been made.” Baldwin’s reps did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday. (read more)
Mr. Baldwin’s wife, Hilairia Baldwin, was recently caught pretending to be life-long Latina in order to enhance her woke credentials amid the far-leftists in their political social circle. She apologized for her lies, manipulation and years of cultural appropriation. Together they have many children and live an affluent lifestyle enabled by a community of supporters who identify with violent sensibilities as an outcome of tribal similarity.
Anyone who’s been around firearms knows that this kind of “accident” borders on the incredulous. Just what the hell were live rounds doing on a movie set? Mr.Baldwin and company have a lot to answer for. The knee jerk outpouring of sympathy for this Baldwin jerk is soooo premature. Someone, on that set, knows the truth. Sadly, a person lost his life. Hollywood is working madly behind the scenes to mitigate situation and do the damage control. As Paul Harvey used to say, “And now the rest of the story!”….. cause there sure as hell has to be one.
It appears that Mr. Baldwin made the claim “he had never been given a hot gun” on a movie set. Hot meaning live round.
From this article I found looking into Mrs Hutchins background. She did her dues to get to her position and had talent. She came through the electrical department, and became a gaffer. Electric is very tough and a hard job. Electric cables and distro boxes are very heavy. Take a lot of muscle and desire to be a woman electrician. She grew up on a Russian base in the Artic Circle, and became an investigation journalist in BRITAIN. It is the path to become a DP. Knowing the Grip truck also is crucial. Most have no idea the knowledge you have to have to run the camera department.
Electrician put up the lights and the grips come and take it away (lol) actually shape the light and more. DP;s have to know a lot to be good and run the crew.
use her name and add IMBD to the search.
If it was a live round in the firearm that is highly irregular highly.
If Alec Baldwin was the Producer also, and had a measly 6 mil budget these days, that ain’t squat. He would also have to approve the firing of the crew imo and the hiring of locals. If the prop/firearm person walked off that morning, and a local brought in wow. Alec may not be charged, but his legal troubles will be huge imo.
Hiring locals when out of LA is very common. to be honest I can’t believe that many were not locals. Maybe deptartment heads would have travelled and had union pay. Depends on the State and New Mexico is a very active with productions. So the crew may or may not have been ill trained.
Live bullet in the firearm if true is beyond believe really. Also with a budget that cheap She most likely was the A camera operator and the DP.
6 million with actor salaries and crew and other production costs on a feature is cheap. Sounds like the crew was union out of New Mexico, and they hired non union when the crew RIGHTLY called BS on the working conditions. Film sets are dangerous. Most of you have no clue to what it takes to set up scenes. THere is a reason for those large trailers full of gadgets and more.
If that was a live Bullet in the firearm. Alec ran the show he was producer. YOu get what you pay Alec. Now you have blood on your hands.
Eat it Bro.,
Lots of great points, one other point to add, if Baldwin is the director, he would have formed an LLC such as Rust movie production company LLC. Meaning his personal assets were off limits, and only the remaining budget, and any insurance policies in effect are the limits of liability.
Alec Baldwin shot the director, Joel Souza.
He shot both the director and the DP. He only managed to kill the DP however.
Not true. To the extent he incurs personal liability for criminal conduct, that is outside of the scope of the formation, purpose and operation of the LLC film Corp. He’s on the hook on a ton of various coins and theories.
The prop manager is the one in trouble
He/She be the one they are focusing on. Could it have been a conspiracy?
Somebody put real bullets into a “prop” gun. There is no way that was a “mistake”. Somebody’s going to have to fess up or get caught. However Santa Fe police are very similar to the DC Police in that they are bought and paid for by the left. I lived in northern NM for 10 years. Will likely be ruled an accident and only a few will know the real story. A live round does not insert itself into a “prop” gun w/o intent. Who’s intent? And why were director and director of photography even being aimed at or why was gun shot towards them? More to this story but we will likely not be privy to it.
Never point a gun at anyone, whether you think it is loaded or not. Alec’s first big mistake, but then being the libtard that he is, he probably never took gun safety because he has been too busy spouting off against things he knows nothing about. Karma is a bitch, Mr. Baldwin….
Bingo. If had of been a conservative actor & thus probably familiar with firearms they would’ve most likely checked the guns status via-a-vis live or blank. A libtard, imo, would be more likely to pick it up & just start pointing & pulling, pretending to be some sort of badarse.
How the hell does he shoot the director & a DP (whatever that is). They weren’t part of the cast surely why would a gun be being pointed at anyone who wasn’t part of the cast ??. Is this Baldwins volcanic temper at play ?? This stinks to high heaven & imo, the story given is total BS. It will depend on how much Baldwin is ‘in favour’ & ‘worth saving’ as to whether or not he’ll be thrown to the wolves or left to his own devices to try & dig his own way out.
Actually, Baldwin is 100% liable.
Like I said, there is much more to this story than meets the eye. NO ‘prop’ manager would knowingly hand an actor a weapon loaded with live rounds. That’s tantamount to murder. So how did this occur? Well, I have a sneaking suspicion that this weapon very possibly belonged to Baldwin himself. He was in charge of this entire production according to what I read. This could explain the presence of a live ammo on the set. He has a history of reckless endangerment. In any case, the reason for the presence of live rounds is the answer to how this situation developed. Interestingly, neither of the victims seemed to be actors who would have been present during the filming of a scene. So WHY and what the hell was Baldwin shooting at? Lots of things happening here that need answers.
In legal terms, the taking of a human life is , at the very least, is involuntary manslaughter, and criminal charges should be in the offing. Not holding my breath, of course. The Hollywierd elite are immune to criminal charges for their conduct no matter how heinous, similar to “progressive” political elites and the the like. The rule of law is only for us low-life deplorables.
Dude, Relax. He apologized to the husband.
/S
Very good short analysis of legal situation/questions raised by Andrew Branca, who is a specialist lawyer in shootings and self defense. He is definitely a legal firearms expert. Worth watching.

Here is his twitter (which has a lot of good info) and this short audio preview of the excellent you tube video.
I’m thinking it might be a Wokester gungrabber “prank” “teaching moment”. They are sufficiently crazy as to think it a Jucy Smolliett type thing.
Could be. . . .certainly ain’t what the media is trying to say.
Some interesting info, gun may have belonged to Alec and may have been used for target shooting prior to being brought on the set. Sounds like negligent homicide, involuntary manslaughter charges should be filed against that idiot & hateful Baldwin:
Amen Curt! I just got home from work and was telling me daughter the exact same thing! Anyone who has been around guns knows the number one rule: they are always loaded!!! My second comment to her was the same as yours, “there’s no reason for live rounds to be on a movie set.” Glad I’m not crazy.
But rest assured none of them have Covid, they were all wearing masks. /s
Good for you Amy. Just keep applying the common sense God gave you. You are not crazy!!!
I hear that LET’S GO BRANDON wants to Install Baldwin as the Head of OSHA !
No, ATF
Let’s Go Baldwin!
I can see it now. The ‘never let a crisis go to waste’ crowd will jump in.
Baldwin will become the new spokesperson for gun control. He’ll be a sympathetic figure, a victim.
I expect crazy things from the Obama-Brandon ‘family’.
Well – who knew that guns actually COULD fire themselves?
Mentally unstable guy, shouldn’t be near guns.
Never point a gun at anyone. Not a toy gun, a BB gun, an air gun, or a prop gun. All my children and grandchildren learned this lesson the first time they picked up any sort of gun. Gun Safety 101.
Mrs. Jones – exactly! Gun safety 101 except for idiots like Baldwin.
I promise you, the shooting victim Halyna Hutchins will be voting Democrat in the upcoming election.
“Halyna” is an unusual name. Went to look and the deceased was a native of Ukraine? And a photojournalist with experience in Eastern Europe?
apparently grew up in Murmansk? and attended school in Kiev? This is Wiki so keep researching.
RIP hardworking immigrant Halyna
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halyna_Hutchins
This is the ONLY question that we should focus on. Every mention of her background ignores her career as a journalist in Ukraine at the SAME TIME as the Maidan color revolution. Her birth name is Halyna Androsovych.
Married to a lawyer.
Well, the sheriff arrived with his bathrobe on,
The confrontation was a tense one
Shook his head and said, “Bubba Boy,”
“You was always a dense one.”
Reckless discharge of a gun
That’s what the officers are claiming
Bubba hollered, “Reckless! Hell!”
“I hit just where I was aiming.”
-Bubba Shot The Jukebox, Mark Chesnutt
His story is falling apart he needs new lines
SANTA FE, N.M. —
According to information obtained by ABC, nearly the entire camera department walked off the set of the Western film, “Rust,” citing numerous concerns involving lack of pay, safety and previously reported gun safety issues.

Baldwin is toast!
Baldwin is a picce of shit. He has so much contempt on little people. He deserves prison time if intentionally kill these two people.
Should be, but I betcha nothing will happen to him because he … is … special.
This is getting worse for him by the hour. I’m sure he was a total tyrant on set and did whatever he liked, including not having a gun checked and cleared before each take.
This is entirely on him, the insufferable douche. The rules are simple and ironclad:
1) The firearm is always loaded (from this rule all others follow).
2) Never point the firearm at something which you are not willing to destroy.
3) Know your target and what is behind your target.
4) Keep your finger off the trigger until you are on your target.
So he broke three rules. Evidently filming a scene and killing his cinematographer?
Anything coming out of the barrel is your fault. Not the guy who set up the firearm, not the guy who handed it to you, but you and you alone. You should have had it pointed where it would not damage anything. But no, you shot your co-worker. Incompetent fool.
My condolences to the Hutchens family.
Can you imagine if Donald T Jr had shot two people, what the responses would be out of celebs today?
I have heard that “Let’s Go Brandon!” personally called the murderer to thank him for the news-headline shift / distraction which should be ‘good’ for at least a week or two.
FJB also told the murderer that he could have 5% of The Big Guy’s cut to do it again just after FJB’s next big screw-up.
They played reruns of asshat Baldwin on the Howard Stern Show, where he was talking about how the Mueller witch hunt was going to find all of this treason evidence on President Trump…………
Manslaughter…why has he not been arrested? Anyone of us would have been by now.
he is part of the elite
Laws do not apply to them
A blank would not kill anyone unless it was put to the temple like Jon-Erik Hexum, or super close range. Reports are he pointed it at them and pulled the trigger out of frustration for shooting one more take.
I wonder if somone replaced the blanks with live rounds knowing the gun hating jerk would not check…
Hmmmm
His wife disgraced them and their woke culture by pretending to Latino. The have been having some trouble with some Hollywood people not being in lock step with them. Is the “prop” gun he used the only one he used for the film and was that the first time he used it? Was this done by the left as payback for his wife and to send a message to anyone in Hollywood who might think about straying off the path?
Daily mail, said the gun went off in the cabin a couple nights before. They knew it wasn’t blanks.
The plot is really thickening up. There’s no way anyone familiar could mistake a live round for a blank. Someone had to consciously take a live round from a box and put it into the stunt gun. Did someone set Baldwin up? It’s all so strange.
https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/update-alec-baldwin-rust-camera-crew-walked-off-the-set-in-protest-before-the-fatal-shooting/
I was wondering that also. This really seems like a possible set up. Very suspicious.
Baldwin pointed the gun at the woman and pulled the trigger. Even if a set-up which there is no basis for even speculating on given a lack of anything circumstantial, Baldwin pointed the gun at the woman and pulled the trigger. …
Are there possibly contributory acts of negligence ? Yes, possible. But the fact repeated is that Baldwin pointed the gun at the woman and pulled the trigger – gross negligence; even if she asked him to point the gun at her (Strike 1 – Don’t point a gun at something you are not intending / willing to destroy), if he had not checked the gun to ensure it was not loaded (Strike 2 – Assume every gun is loaded), he should never have pulled the trigger (Strike 3 – Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to destroy the object you are aiming at), and he did not think about what was behind his target (Strike 4 – Always know what is around and behind your target, not all projectiles go where they are directed and over-penetration is to be expected).

Take a look at some serious realistic-looking movie shootouts from the “John Wick” series, especially the third one with Halley Berry. Actors trained for months with real weapons using real ammo while executing real combat shooting tactics.
I’ve seen numerous commentaries from shooting instructors and ex-special forces people regarding the authenticity of the gunplay in these movies; all of them were impressed with how well Keanu Reeves handled his weapons, right down to doing high-speed combat shotgun reloads. One guy even counted the shots fired from every gun to ensure the film depicted realistic reloading — it did.
Sure, there were some over-the-top shooting choreography that would never happen in real life (“stealthy” bad guys using mounted bright green laser-pointers ??), but most of the combat shooting sequences were spot on with respect to weapon operation and control. With respect to firearm usage, these films had the requisite funding to obtained the best instructors and training available to ensure a safe and disciplined film set.
Green lasers have less of a chance to blind someone would be my take if people on the set would not have eye protection. To hard to add them in post. LIke in the scenes were people have contend with laser security, they have to pretend on most of those and they add the lasers in post.
Funding should not be an issue on any set with firearms. Yea I know many kids these days do things when making there SHORTS to get experience. Alec is a pro.
I think all the conflicting info is his Press people throwing out a lot of shade to draw attention away from the facts. Live ammo on a set with people in the area, pullllease.
You don’t really even need to use blanks these days. You can add the smoke in post. Just draw and pull a trigger with no blanks. Of course post is expensive, so doing effects “in camera” is cheaper.
The people that were there will be hard pressed to “talk” getting blackballed in the industry is a career ender. Most worked long and hard to get there.
Alec is the key here. He was the head guy, the buck Stops with Alec. He produced it, acted the part, and pulled the trigger.
Lots of deflection from his people I would assume is ongoing.
How his production insurance policy reads will be very interesting.
He has the dough that taking his ass to court would be worth it.
Good grief. Jumping to conclusions and posting hateful remarks without even having any information at all as to how the tragedy happened. Sheesh.
Seems like a huge waste of time.
Low IQ gonna Low IQ nwtex.
My daughters fiancée has been on location since the beginning and at the set as it happened. A completely different story from many of the stories I am reading. It will be interesting the results of the investigation and even then there will be all kinds of stories.
Well, what does your daughter’s fiancée have to say because the investigation will be a whitewash, Fandom?
Where is Columbo when you need him? I know Peter Falk died some time ago, but still? I think I have seen this episode on his show and a couple of other TV dectective “crime” dramas from the 70’s and 80’s too. It’s very sad though that a real person died due to this professional idiocy.
Like a true LibTard…Baldwin’s first response is that he’s the Victim as Someone gave him a “Hot” Prop !
LET’S GO BRANDON !
the jokes about this i see on Twitter along with misinformation bothers me. This never should have happened. Where was the chain of responsibility with the guns and ammo
The “chain of responsibility” ends with the numbskull who pointed the gun and pulled the trigger. “The buck stops here” so to speak.
LET’S GO BRANDON, BIDEN, BALDWIN !
Karma. Meditated murder. Send him to prison.
He is 2 – 0 with the insurrectionists.
Condolences to the families, but it couldn’t happen to a more deserving jerk. Anyway I was thinking that all guns used for movies and such should be of calibers that are close to but not exact of “regular” guns. Maybe there should be special guns made for movies. Instead of a .38 or .45 maybe have guns that don’t allow normal rounds. I know special tooling needed, but say a 0.36 caliber or 0.42. Something that the normal round would be too big to fit and next lower size would practically rattle around. I don’t know maybe not practical. But could be safer than this.
All that is needed is to install a barrel with an extreme constriction that will not pass a bullet. Any competent gun smith or machinist can do this. This restriction is actually neccessarry along with other modifications to get a semiautomatic firearm to cycle firing blanks. The constriction boosts chamber pressure which in turn boosts propellent deflagration rate that then boosts chamber pressure.
There is no excuse for not having modified prop guns that cannot fire bullets from normal cartridges.
As usual, no one in the MSM does any actual investigative journalism, so we have only bits & pieces to go on. It would seem, at this time, the weapon was apparently loaded with a live round, as it had sufficient power to completely pierce on person’s skull and hit a second person standing / sitting behind them. We still don’t know for certain if this occurred during filming or in between takes; if it was in between takes, Baldwin should not have been holding the gun at all, at the very least it should’ve been holstered. A revolver doesn’t just accidentally go off in your hand.
Baldwin acts surprised someone handed him a “hot” weapon, “never happened before”, he claims. I believe he has some serious liability here, as would any adult holding any kind of firearm. He should’ve known this was not an inert fake prop gun but an actual weapon capable of firing live rounds, especially given the fact the upcoming scene called for the weapon to be discharged.
Recent reports indicate there were several firearm safety-related incidents that occurred earlier during filming; this establishes a precedent of serious safety issues on the film set, something requiring immediate corrective action on the part of the director, prop master and armorer. As the lead actor and co-producer, Baldwin most certainly would have been aware of these issues. One would think this would provide an added incentive for everyone to be extra careful with firearms and double-checking everything prior to use.
If a person doesn’t check any type of firearm for loaded condition and what type of ammo is in the gun they are simply stupid. If that same person waves the gun around without doing so, they are negligent in their responsibilities. If that same person accidently kills someone due to being negligent, they are guilty of negligent manslaughter. Baldwin needs to be held to account for his negligence. I can not stand the mouthy POS!
According to “John Solomon”. the firearm was handed to Baldwin by an “assistant” with live rounds. The assistant assured him it was safe. The assistant did not know it had live ammunition.
An assistant handed Alec Baldwin a prop gun loaded with live rounds and indicated it was safe to use just before the actor fatally shot a colleague on the set of his new Western movie, according to a search warrant made public Friday evening.
The employee was unaware the weapon was loaded with the live rounds, according to the warrant filed in a Santa Fe, N.M., court.
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot in the chest while director Joel Souza was wounded in the incident Thursday, officials said.
Not shot in the head.
However this leads to more questions. “an assistant” WTF are they talking about his personal gofer, yea they have them. They should not be in control of this. Who gave the gun to the “assistant.
Way to go John S more BS reporting I see. Just leave t hat BS hanging in the wind. Just like you did during the “investigation” with your confidential BS sources.
This shows that procedure was not followed on set. Baldwin owns the set. For those saying actors should check prop firearms etc. Most actors have never held a live weapon in there life most likely. They would not know the first thing about how to check firearms. This “accident” is so rare that when handled professionally it does not happen. Prop master and his workers are responsible, not the actor.
Notice the word PROP is alway used before, there is a reason for that. look it up.
Most of you looking for vengence and blood lust sound more lefties to my eyes.ears. Troll much, stirring up trouble are you.
Alex should’ve checked the gun, no matter what.
Alex was not acting in this film. Why pick up the prop?
Well said and not only that but as you alluded they are not familiar with firearms at all. Had he checked the gun, which likely was a single action revolver. He woukd not have known the difference between a live round or blank. In a single action revolver you would have to unload the cylinder or take a very close look and know what you are seeing. He wouldn’t have. This us on the set people I agree
Agree that solomon is full of it but there is such a thing as schaudenfraud in regard to alec. At least for me. It’s a Greek tragedy. It’s divine justice.
Why point a gun, any gun, at the director or cinematographer and pull the trigger in the first place?
It’s the way some scenes are filmed.
If this happened to any “normal” person they would be arrested by now. Why the hell would they use a real gun for a movie prop. There is something very wrong with this shooting and Baldwin should be arrested for this. An accidental shooting might be shooting one person, he shot two, this is murder in my opinion.
Ok, he fired one shot that hit two, so i’m lowering my charges from murder to involuntary manslaughter for now, but that might change after the investigation.
He is known for his hot temper and irrational behavior.
Movies typically use real guns as props there’s really no such thing as a prop gun in the industry. They hire armorers and use real guns with blanks.
This is simple. If any one of us had killed someone and shot another today as Baldwin did, we would be in jail right now.
Imagine if a cop had done this??
“I didn’t know it was loaded”.
Think any one of us would get away with that excuse?
A prop doesn’t have bullets
Many “props” are functioning firearms, not “toys” or “fakes.” Maybe a bad idea but they can shoot regular ammo if loaded with such. After a significant issue with my with my stepson which ended up with a couple of weapons being temporarily taken by the local sheriff’s department, When they return to me the facthe 1st thing I did in front of that officer was to check to see if they were loaded. He said that was the proper thing to do. Blanks and real ammo don’t look alike. With revolvers that’s a very easy thing to check.
Since he was not arrested, one has to wonder how much Hillary paid him.
Baldwin is the film’s Producer. He totally OWNS this.
We all know that if this happened to an actor with a conservative bent the public reaction would be far different.
Sadly I don’t believe anything I read now days.
This could be ‘LOOK SQUIRREL’ for other reasons.
We are ‘sold’ a lot of stories over the years,
Count down until gun control pops up; ughN.
Just sayin…
The first shot could be an accident. But the second shot?
People keep asking why live rounds were on the movie set. It’s a good question and an issue that should be pursued. And don’t get caught up into the muddled logic that it’s munitions handler or armorer who is the caretaker of the firearms. That’s yet another issue to be ursued.
The fact remains Baldwin handled a firearm irresponsibly. He didn’t even question if a live round was in the chamber, instead he pointed the firearm at a colleague and pulled the trigger. Accident? Stupidity? Perhaps. But Baldwin is an adult and responsible for his actions. One colleague killed and another critically wounded.
Remember Baldwin’s public excoriation of the police officer who back in 2017 fired on a perp in self defense and killing him. Who could forget the relentless attacks and pompous tweets by Baldwin like ” I wonder how it must feel to wrongfully kill someone?” @Alex Baldwin 10:01 PM · Sep 22, 2017
Yes, it is Alec Baldwin’s turn for justice. Unrelentingly self righteous about accidental gun deaths. Ridiculing police and even Dick Cheney for their accidental or unfortunate outcomes with firearms. It is always about posing and politics with these leftist actors. Now he has come face to face with the fragility of life. He knows how easy it is to make a mistake and what a buffoon he has been in the past.
I pray I never accidentally kill someone or lack compassion for someone who does, but Baldwin certainly should pay the price for this accident. It will not ever bring back Miss Hutchins though.
Arkancide?
When has Hollywood ever been ‘truthful’
I smell BS.
Only the victims and the families deserve sympathy for now. There needs to be a real full investigation into what happened and why? Was the firearms expert/handler there on set? Why live ammo? And why was a loaded gun given to an actor who admits he never held a “hot gun” in his entire 68 years of life?
Alec Baldwin was given loaded weapon and told it was safe, court records show
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/oct/22/alec-baldwin-film-shooting-halyna-hutchins
Certainly in his long career he has been around sets/movies that involve guns. He should know the proper protocol, whether it is a prop gun or not.
There is a rumor that he was ticked off when the director asked for another take of a scene and he fired the prop gun at the director and the cinematographer. Swearing at them. Half joking but half angry and entirely grossly irresponsible. You never ever aim Any gun at any human being you do not plan to actually shoot.
did Hutchins twitter that she had info that would lead to Hillary’s arrest? saw a post on Getter.
Poor Alec. Now even fewer will play “Words With Friends” with him.
Karma is a bitch.
I wonder. If Baldwin had such a small budget did he even worry about props. When we get to the part of using a gun in the movie we will just borrow one from the crew.
This. I have never handled a gun (outside of the fairground about twice) , and even i know you never ever point a gun at someone you’re not willing to shoot…
Hot gun or not – why on earth would he point the gun at 2 people and pull the trigger.
Manslaughter at a minimum.
The answer is quite simple. It happens all the time in movies. When firearms are used in movies and tv shows there is usually a scene where the actor points the firearm at the camera, and in some instances fires it. It makes for dramatic scenes.
Guess who is being pointed at? The camera, the camera operator, THE DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, and maybe others.
Camera operators take on overlooked occupational hazards. Where is this in their contracts?
so much for green screen…and indirect animation!
George
Lucas…Hollywood would.like you to save some lives!
ridley Scott…as backup.
this CRIME is because SMART ALEC is greedy
greedy= dangerous.
it’s a law
never Looked at it that way, but so true
Gun safety 101: If you are going to be pulling the trigger on a weapon, it is the person pulling the trigger responsibility (not some set stooge) to inspect the weapon and the load, PERIOD!
If an actors on set are going to play with guns, it is the actors responsibility to learn about the deadly equipment they are in charge of.
Callous, caviler, entitled attitudes kill, not the gun. Check once, check twice, then check again.
Doesn’t work that way. The last thing we want is an inexperienced user to do anything with the gun. There are about 4 layers of safety that occur before handing the gun to an actor. Actors do NOT load or unload the magazine into the gun. Actors do NOT press check the gun. Actors do NOT drop magazines and inspect the rounds. Actors do NOT clear malfunctions. These are ALL the sole responsibility of the either the Props Master and his team or the Armorer hired by the props master. Actors new to shooting and in preparation for the scene are taken to the range and spend less and a half day learning the guns to be used or safety and marksmanship skills. There was a COMPLETE breakdown in safety on this set. It was an idie. Known for hiring inexperienced crew for roles they have no business being in. I am more interested in why this DP/Director were in the line of fire. I have NEVER witnessed ANYONE behind the camera for a shot like this unless EVERYONE knows and has been shown that the gun being used has a plugged barrel.
Intentionally or unintentionally Baldwin created an unsafe situation where someone was bound to be killed. Baldwin pulled the trigger, Baldwin hired inexperienced people on what was already described as a super unsafe set, Baldwin’s history of violence will be used against him in a court of law.
Wrong. NONE of the scenes I have worked on that create this type of shot had ANYONE behind the camera. Unless it is known and shown that it is a plugged barrel and that VFX (me, what I do) will put the muzzle flash in. This was a total breakdown in 4 layers of safety protocol.
Just watched a”lie to me episode”. Man knocks on door,2nd man opens door,1st man pulls pistol, the next scene is close up of pistol and gun is fired at camera.
Sociopath Baldwin wasn’t happy with the shoot, pardon my pun.
My guess, that as a staunch anti-gun person, he has never taken a gun safety class. He didn’t know not to point it at anything you “don’t want to destroy.”
