Earlier today, during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on the Arizona vote outcome, representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) questioned Maricopa County officials about their deletion of 2020 election data in order to avoid a state senate subpoena for election records.
Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Sellers and the boards vice chairman, Bill Gates, admitted they intentionally deleted election data to route it onto an archive file. The archives of the county records were not subpoenaed, that way the county could avoid sending the full 2020 election data to the auditors.

Well now, it is rather interesting that the obvious follow up question wasn’t asked; “What other election data, material, evidence, etc was moved out of the Election database to the county archives database or any other possible storage place?”
I realize even that question needs cleaning up to avoid further “lawfare interpretation”, but you get my point. The fact that the subpoena asked for all election material but they “interpreted it to mean such and such” so they put it somewhere else they thought it would not apply is beyond laughable.

In the video one learns they DID subpoena ALL ELECTION RELATED MATERIALS…after the subpoena was received by the county, the county removed the data from the servers to an archive…and did not provide the archive.

Usually you archive data to have a back up copy. It is unusual to archive data and delete the original. I think that the purpose of the law is to keep the data available in the original location. Once data is moved how do you prove where it came from. I doubt if the backup preserved all the time stamp and operating system journal entries.

How much room do you have on your system? Was it totally out of room before you removed this information? How much room did you create by moving these files? What information went on your system for the next election that required this space? Many more good questions were not asked.

Maricopa county officials, were deliberate and selective when they responded to the subpoena from the senate. They had long before decided to purposely not turn over what was being requested. Regardless of how broadly the subpoena request was. Purposeful deletion, shows intent. Thinking back Maricopa officials, resisted all requests for information, related to the election.

On the Arizona Audit Interim ResultsAuditors use numbers to illuminate processes, but the focus is on the processes, not the numbers. Thus the September 27th Reuters headline: ‘Truth is truth’: Trump dealt blow as Republican-led Arizona audit reaffirms Biden win misstates both the interim result and purpose of the Arizona audit.
Consider that if I were to hand you an unsealed jar with some colored marbles in it and and then ask you to count the red and blue ones separately, you would be able to say how many of each are in the jar, but you’d know nothing at all about how or when any of them got there. Similarly the hand count of ballots provided to the auditors by Maricopa County found 99 more votes for Biden, and 261 fewer for Trump, than previously shown but those totals said nothing about how those ballots came to be there – and that, not the numbers, is what the audit is about.
Note too that the audit is on-going – this was an interim report intended, I believe, in part to force Maricopa county to preserve and release more information by triggering criminal charges through the Arizona Attorney General’s office.
The political disappointment we’re seeing among some conservative reaction to the draft report is therefore both exaggerated and premature because the process review has in fact already uncovered some disturbing information: for example that about 57,000 ballots should not have been accepted as legal, about 83,000 are attributed to voters who do not appear to exist in the public record, and a further 255,000 or so have origin and chain of custody issues.
Physical ballots cannot, however, legally be matched to voter information or voter specific artifacts like ballot return envelopes and the auditors cannot, therefore, use discrepancies in the voter and voting records to correct vote counts – all they can do is point out the discrepancies and make recommendations for whatever legal or managerial action they think necessary to ensure against the same kind of discrepancies appearing in subsequent elections.
For example, when the related audit effort by Dr. Ayyadurai’s team to review mail-in envelope images discovered that the county has records of 34,448 return envelopes coming from only 17,126 unique voters, they thought that their work had uncovered about 17,000 illegal votes but had no legal way to know whether the people sending in two or more votes were on net weighting the scales for or against democrats.
This is characteristic of the fact detail throughout the interim report: many discrepancies large and small are noted, but the problematic records cannot legally be matched to specific ballots and even the most innocent are inexplicable without access to information withheld by Maricopa county and/or the right to carry out a voter canvass denied the audit team by extensive democrat legal action at the local, state, and federal levels.
Real audits almost always find the inexplicable, but these things are usually immaterial and quietly put down to someone somewhere being stupid rather than dishonest, and this one would have been no different had it not been for two factors: the commitment county officials put behind thwarting the auditors, and the near impossibility of innocent explanation for many of the problems found during the systems review phase.
For example, it looks like someone intentionally overwrote a key log, on the order of 865 crucial temporary storage directories were deleted, over 200,000 ballot images were corrupted beyond recovery, one machine was dual bootable with the second instance fully network capable, and county officials have fought bitterly to keep key routing and network related logs away from the auditors – – in which context one of the wryest sentences to pass the repeated scrutiny of paranoid lawyers this draft surely endured bears repeating here:
Most people would, I think, agree that the findings already made public by the audit team mean that Arizona should decertify the election thus vacating at least one seat in each of the house and senate pending a new vote, pursue a comparable audit in at least Pima county, and take appropriate legal action first against key players within the Maricopa county structure and, more importantly, in the legislature to avoid having similar process corruption arise in subsequent elections.
As a Trump supporter who believes that house and senate seats were stolen along with the presidency through cheating before, during, and after the 2020 elections I would, however, go much further. In particular I believe that a story in which local democrats engaged in multiple styles of largely uncoordinated and low level cheating starting with the usual graveyard vote while a smaller group of more nationally connected democrats with access to the election systems and ballot storage switched something more than about 250,000 real Maricopa county votes from largely GOP to Biden et al in the software before later replacing the original ballots, is consistent with the facts we now know.
That story, although imaginative and not something anyone should take too seriously pending further steps in the audit, is supported by the systematic deletions and data corruptions on the key servers; by the audit finding that there are about 255,000 ballots with no, or inadequate, origin and/or chain of custody information; by eyewitness accounts of machine printed votes; and by the findings of an unrelated group that carried out a partial canvas within Maricopa county – a volunteer effort whose results suggest that about 173,000 people shown in county records as non voters did in fact vote.

I agree with your assessment of our situation. What should we do about it besides give uplifting encouragement? Our leaders are not even in charge. Should we take to the streets? Should we ignore anything they tell us to do? I like your enthusiasm for the fight, but I am not optimistic that heart and grit are what it will take to survive.

It seems like corrupt Maricopa County runs Arizona the same way corrupt Cook County runs Illinois. The only difference is that Maricopa County is run by corrupt Republicans and Cook County is run by corrupt Democrats.
I support splitting highly populated cities or counties, like Maricopa and Cook Counties, from their respective states so that they no longer use their immense size to dominate and control their entire states which disenfranchises people in the other regions of those states.
One could argue that this would make places like Maricopa and Cook Counties even more corrupt since they would no longer have their state governments to check and balance them, but there currently isn’t any check and balance occurring at the state level against these counties because they control their respective state governments.
Cook County, and the surrounding counties in the Chicago area, so dominate Illinois state government that Chicago area politicians can override the will of the entire remainder of the state. It appears that Arizona has the same problem with Maricopa County controlling the entire state.
About 25 years ago, someone proposed a “Central Maryland” comprised of Baltimore city, Baltimore county, Montgomery county, and PrinceGeorges county with route 95 to connect them. This would remove most of the Left from the rest of Maryland, which leans red.

I’m hoping AZ Brnovich starts indicting people, it seems there’s plenty of evidence of nefarious activity before, during and after the 2020 election. He’s running for US Senate so I’m not hopeful.
I suspect until today that the AZ Senate didn’t know of the transfer to the archives. We all thought the info was deleted, which is illegal. The toad sits there today and gloats. Its a big joke to them. Justice is an illusion.

This act of deleting the files is probably the simplest felony to prove. The perpetrators did not succeed in destroying the evidence of what they had done. There is no legitimate reason for them doing this, and there is direct proof of intent to commit a criminal act, knowing that it was criminal, and then to try to conceal it. We even know who to arrest … that is to say, the first persons to arrest …
It was an amazingly stupid thing to do.
