Most CTH readers are likely aware of the term “deplatforming.” Unfortunately, the big tech control mechanism to shut down speech & assembly has now arrived on our doorstep.
One week after the 2020 presidential election, The Conservative Treehouse received the following notification:
…”given the incompatibility between your site’s content and our terms, you need to find a new hosting provider and must migrate the site by Wednesday, December 2nd.
What does this mean? It means CTH is being kicked-off the WordPress website hosting platform because the content of our research and discussion does not align with the ideology of those who define what is acceptable speech and what is not.
What was our violation? After ten years of brutally honest discussion, opinion, deep research and crowdsourcing work -with undeniable citations on the events we outline- there is no cited violation of any term of service because CTH has never violated one.
The WordPress company is not explaining the reason for deplatforming because there is no justifiable reason for it. At the same time, they are bold in their position. Perhaps this is the most alarming part; and everyone should pay attention. They don’t care.
Truthful assembly is now the risk. CTH is now too big; with a site reach of 500,000 to a million unique readers each day; and with well over 200,000 subscribers; our assembly is too large, too influential, and presents a risk… we guard the flickering flame.
Ten years of work assembling a library of factual citations and explanations of those discoveries, positions CTH to be a leading force in the rebel alliance push-back. [Heck, that’s why this place was started… that was our purpose: “The Truth Has No Agenda.”] However, that also makes us a target; hence the deplatforming.
Accepting -at its core- this move is all about politics, this is yet another reference point in the tenuous nature of where we stand. There’s no hate-speech on this website; there’s no graphic, violent, foul or abusive speech here. The ‘content‘ of the Treehouse is the same discussion that happens around your kitchen table or back porch discussion with friends. We would never cheapen or insult that conversation with vulgarity because that’s not who we are… because that’s not who our nation is. So consider this next part very carefully…
The ‘content’ is not compatible with WordPress, the world’s largest website and blog hosting service. The content within the largest blog on that global platform is what has become troublesome. “The content”.
The content on these pages is simply an ongoing discussion about freedom with criticism against any political party or entity that diminishes it. Apparently, immediately after the 2020 election, that discussion became problematic. After writing about the COVID-19 agenda,…the notification: the website will be removed.
Let that settle in…. friends and adversaries alike. Think very hard about what exactly is being represented by these actions. That’s the bad news.
So what are we going to do?
First three priorities: #1 is the security of the site content and research files with over a decade of work; #2) ensuring the ability of our assembly to remain; #3) continue the mission.
In the past several days I have begun contacting people to inform and gather counsel on what is the best course of action. On a very positive note, the Rebel Alliance is stronger than ever and no amount of effort by Big Tech is going to be able to weaken the resolve or block the message.
We will take this challenge head-on and we will use this attack against our freedom as fuel to launch CTH 2.0, a new version of The Conservative Treehouse.
I have no idea yet what it will look like… hopefully not too dissimilar to what we are already comfortable with. However, a lot has changed in the technological world since 2010/2011. There are many new and innovative ways to develop, build and create proprietary platforms.
I don’t like anything about having to be forced to do this. Readers here know I prefer comfortable quality that lasts a long time; but there is no alternative. We are being kicked-off WordPress and will have to assemble on a platform that allows free expression, free thought and free ideas to be shared, valued and appreciated.
Additionally, as I look at preliminary options for Treehouse 2.0, one guiding element is priority: I will continue to work earnestly to be deserving of your support and fellowship.

However each of us got here, it’s probably a fact that we have the turmoil of those storms in common, perhaps some unease that we could share and always, we also find fresh ground to cover from day to day. In addition to probable attacking of your future website host, they are likely to try to “un-bank” you as well. They’ll threaten with boycotts and public embarrassment any financial institution with which you interact. That means PayPal. That means credit cards. That means banks. We saw it start with gun manufacturers whose business banking relationships were attacked. This is going to get a lot worse. They come for St0rmFr0nt and everybody thinks “that’s fine, I’m not a racist/nazi”. They de-platform Milo Yiannopoulos or Alex Jones people say “well, I didn’t like those guys anyway”. Next thing you know, Twitter is suspending wholly innocuous people like Richard Baris. I’m not a tech person, Sundance, so I can’t talk specifics, but as you re-group, keep in mind that the Left’s attempt to silence and persecute you will be worse than what you can even imagine right now. By an order of magnitude. It’s not whether you’re paranoid – it’s whether you’re paranoid ENOUGH. Consider establishing manual means of communication with those technical experts whose assistance you’ll need. I’m talking about hand-carried notes, etc. Consider only using e-mail that is encrypted and having the site hosted overseas with content added only via the strongest of encryption systems.

Sorry to hear this. It is all part of wasting your time when the election starts to hit a critical stage. This type of censorship will only expand, if we loose this election, till we will not even be able to have our own public website as we will be denied the connection on the internet.
I have had so many issues with WP (here, and on company sites), I just except them; do to my want to post. I do not post on any other political or public site.
The only thing I will miss about Word Press is my Icon, it really captures the real me. I think I will capture it.

Sounds to me like we should use a different interface and even scrap the WordPress self-hosted platform cause it will likely be next and that would take down thousands of sites. There are others you can use but, of course, the globalists always create the best to corner the market. Cause that’s how they roll. I stumbled across this place, during the George Zimmerman trial, and have been a consistent reader, frequent commenter, and referenced intel from here countless times on other platforms, referring dozens of my conservative friends here.

The censorship of the social networking and other media – is beyond astounding.
I’m currently in FB jail – have another 15 days on a 30 day sentence (No coincidence it occurred right before the election). But my messenger still works (an oversight by the overlords I’m sure).
I shared a link to Pompeo’s “smooth transition to a second Trump term” from youtube to a friend on messenger. Went to share it again – later – an hour later and FB blocked the message for “content violation” SecState in an UNEDITED CLIP – CONTENT VIOLATION. While I guess if they can do it to POTUS, SECSTATE can get silenced also (even though the clip still remained on YT).
WE ARE IN A STATE OF INFORMATION WAR. They are no longer happy silencing us, or sending troll armies to drown us in static – but seek to remove our very (virtual) bully pulpits from which to speak.
After four years of constant screaming at us, from every form of media – we are fascists/racists/nazis/white-supremacists (even the black conservatives amongst us), now we are being told that THEY WON – LET’S KISS AND MAKE UP – and oh, BTW – STFU you sore losers.

Flynn). Then resign himself and let Pence PARDON HIM – so at least we can take 99% of the bogus prosecutions they are sure to throw at him, out of the equation. Pardons are going to FLY OUT OF THE WH come dec/january.

I have no idea what I did, but several months ago I was notified I made a FB post that violated something and was barred from FB. Not for 30 days, but forever.
Thing is, I didn’t post on FB. I think what happened was I posted something on Politico that was cross posted to FB. I’m not a flamethrower, so I have no idea what it could have been that got me banned. I expect some lefty didn’t like what I posted and reported it.
The only reason I had a FB account was I followed a young singer who posted her music on FB. her page was the only place I ever posted on FB and hadn’t posted for a couple of months when I was banned.
They just assumed you were a fake account meant to spread dangerous counter-narratives. The singular follow and zero/sparse history is what a lot of bot/trolls have.

Everyone paying attention should now be 100% certain that they live within a country:
1. where all but a tiny portion of the mainstream and social media acts as a totally biased propaganda and censored information outlet
2. where those responsible for a political scandal far more serious than Watergate walk away legally unscathed and the political party they represented benefits from the scandal in many critically important ways
3. where the vote count cannot be trusted

A lot has changed in the last 9+ years. I have built and hosted we sites recently. In the end this is probably a blessing. It will secure independence. It will offer a world of new options. It does not need to be expensive. There will be a learning curve, But keep the site simple and it will be a shallow curve. Looks matter little. Content is king. I offer my assistance if needed.
PS: I never, ever recommend WordPress to any of my clients. Way to restrictive in methods and functionality.

Big Tech is positioning itself into the same position that the NFL and the MSM find themselves. 73M people cannot be stifled. Conservatives need to find and finance sites for their free speech. If WordPress wants to cut their market in half, let them. This is an opportunity to break out of their clutches.

I was thinking the same thing …
Why more than 73? I tend to think it’s less. Everyone who voted for Trump won’t have the strength or desire to fight the system and so some will give in and do what they’re told. Fear causes many to back down. That’s not a criticism but it is a statement of historical fact. While I do believe it will still be a large number that stands up, I know human nature too well and have seen personally people who I knew to be very strong, principled people back down when a life-changing threat was made.

Dizzylizzy: No, WordPress is not owned by Google, although all these web behemoths are intimately intertwined. WordPress provides the capabilty to build websites (i.e., to create and post content to the internet) and also, WordPress provides hosting services for websites and blogs. There are also “free” and “paid” versions of WordPress.
When creating and posting a website or blog using WordPress products (software) or services (hosting), one does give up a degree of ownership and control of content and
“real estate” on the internet, but, there are many alternatives to WordPress. Although WordPress is the biggest game in town, it’s far from the only game in town.
Sundance has many options at his disposal. It’s a serious pain in the neck / hassle / headache to change platforms, but, people do it all the time, and I have seen deplatformed sites get back up an running–and better than ever–within a matter of days.

WordPress.org is a company that created website creation software.
Wordpress.com is a hosting owned by Automatic (owned by a co-founder of wordpress.org) Not owned by Google.
It is not the only alternative. There are many webhosting services, GoDaddy.com for example.
SD will have to purchase a new website hosting contract from a different provider that will not censor his content.
We dont know what will happen on or before Dec 2nd. SD could retain the URL and all you will see is a new look.
Or the URL could need to change, in which case, it would hopefully be before Dec 2nd and he would have a landing page here pointing to the new website.
Getting the site hosted while being blacklisted is the challenge, but possible. see 4chan, stormfront and other sites of ill repute that are still up and running.

Big Tech is moving to control the world. The only solution will be something like the Million MAGA march on Silicon Valley. But, it will have to go further than a polite conversation over tea.
Admin Rem I work with a small web firm that could move you to a stand alone word press site. A simple migration of data would make it seemless.

As disgusting and unsettling as this is, there’s potential good in it: WordPress has always been a third-rate — make that fourth-rate comment interface. The code works — more than you can say for DISQUS — but the design is abysmal. With any luck CTH will emerge from the sudden worm-hole in a far better place.
The two best interfaces I use are DISQUS — though the code sucks (MANY bugs and evidently different versions from one blog to another so you can never know what works HERE) the user interface — ‘look and feel’ — are superior. And the comment section at ZeroHedge which has an interface slightly second best to DISQUS but is perfectly written — everything works every time and exactly as you’d expect it to. ZH’s software may be proprietary as I’ve seen it nowhere else.
I generally avoid WordPress sites because the interface is so bad. It’s like the designer set out to make it as unpleasant to use as possible. Favorite major design flaw: The necessity to log in either twice or three times (in varying formats) for each post. Second: Inability to upvote any posting. It’s a great tribute to CTH and its users that anyone comments at all.
I wonder about Gab and Parler offerings? I don’t use any of either so no clue.

Do not chastise me for stating this. I followed Glenn Beck for years, I listened to him and have taken heed. I dropped him when he went full blown NEVER Trumper. I forgave him when he asked for forgiveness, and am now once again a subscriber to Blaze TV. Buy a radio! Preferably a ham radio, we’d better start thinking about the whole caboodle going down.
