The Supreme Court has announced the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the age of 87 from complications due to metastatic cancer of the pancreas. The 2020 election is officially in hyper-drive…
SCOTUS – Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died this evening surrounded by her family at her home in Washington, D.C., due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer. She was 87 years old.
Justice Ginsburg was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Clinton in 1993. She was the second woman appointed to the Court and served more than 27 years. She is survived by her two children: Jane Carol Ginsburg (George Spera) and James Steven Ginsburg (Patrice Michaels), four grandchildren: Paul Spera (Francesca Toich), Clara Spera (Rory Boyd), Miranda Ginsburg, Abigail Ginsburg, two step-grandchildren: Harjinder Bedi, Satinder Bedi, and one great-grandchild: Lucrezia Spera. Her husband, Martin David Ginsburg, died in 2010.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. said of Justice Ginsburg: “Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her — a tireless and resolute champion of justice.”
Justice Ginsburg was born in Brooklyn, New York, March 15, 1933. She married Martin D. Ginsburg in 1954. She received her B.A. from Cornell University, attended Harvard Law School, and received her LL.B. from Columbia Law School. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edmund L. Palmieri, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, from 1959–1961.
From 1961–1963, she was a research associate and then associate director of the Columbia Law School Project on International Procedure. She was a Professor of Law at Rutgers University School of Law from 1963–1972, and Columbia Law School from 1972–1980, and a fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences in Stanford, California from 1977–1978. In 1971, she was instrumental in launching the Women’s Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union, and served as the ACLU’s General Counsel from 1973–1980, and on the National Board of Directors from 1974–1980. She was appointed a Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 1980. During her more than 40 years as a Judge and a Justice, she was served by 159 law clerks.
While on the Court, the Justice authored My Own Words (2016), a compilation of her speeches and writings.
A private interment service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. (link)
Amy Coney Barrett graduated #1 in her class at Notre Dame Law School.
Wilipedia: “Trump is reportedly “saving” Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat for Amy Coney Barrett if Ginsburg retires or dies during Trump’s presidency.[77] ”
Hey Bribem, where’s your list?
Coney Barrett would be better than RBG but she’s soft on immigration and thinks she has to recuse herself from an issue (like abortion) where the Catholic Church has taken a stance. Don’t get fooled. She’s a Roberts in the waiting.
It seems like any woman is taking a chance, why does it have to be a woman? Who says you have to replace a justice with a similar justice…I could care less about gender, race, or creed, but I do think it is rather odd that the justices are either jewish or catholic…why is that?
Much harder for the left to attack a woman. It will be woman or a POC.
Neomie Rao. You know she’s not DS because of how hard the DS fought her confirmation to the DC Circuit. And she just proved her bona fides in the appeal of the Flynn case. Really proved them.
A woman. A minority. A tough fighter too. She already faced the fire. She can do it again.
Ya think? Ask Clarence Thomas what he thinks about that.
To be crudely blunt: If it were a male, 100% certain there would be a Thomas/Kavanaugh issue come up. With a woman it will be harder to dig up dirt or denigrate her in the hearings without looking Cro-magnon. No doubt there still will be a Borking-Lite. IMHO
Would love to see Jay Sekulow on the bench, although he is so valuable arguing cases before the Supreme Court, manning the ACLJ, and being President Trump’s attorney.
I think we all agree, but if you’re going to do it before the election, we know what the Dems will do, and it will almost certainly swing a couple million more votes our way to watch a woman be burned at the stake by the DNC.
Obama asked RBG to retire and she said no. Her “wishes to not have President Trump pick her replacement” is therefore void. RBG made a huge mistake at a age of 83 due to her arrogance and expectation that HRC would win. NOW SHE WILL COST THE PROGRESSIVES EVERYTHING.
I expect riots and a very nasty Supreme Court nominee hearing to show what the progressive left is really all about.
Pray that McConnell and PDJT move fast and hard. The Country and the Presidency can be saved, if it is God’s will. I pray that it is His will.
This is gonna be ugly Kavanaugh x 100
Raped a kitten when he was three ugly.
Since she is on the Democrat ticket, I would think Senator Harris would have to recuse, but no way she does that.
Also doubt Harris would recuse from the nomination hearings; the plus side may be that the nation will have an excellent reminder of just how nasty a person Harris is, as she showed us during the Kavanaugh hearings. I just don’t think people will vote for someone openly nasty and mean spirited.
I lost all respect for this radical leftist when she told the South Africans, who were some years ago in the process of writing a new Constitution, to NOT use the US Constitution as a model because it was so flawed.
She was a left wing activist on the Court.
Glad she’s off the Court. She should have resigned some time ago. But like McCain, she was too addicted to power and could not let go.
She bad mouthed POTUS while he was running and made her feelings about him very clear but never recused herself from any decisions which imo is unethical.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/09/f-ruth-bader-ginsburg-f-not-retiring-obama-leftists-react-rbgs-death/
Such sweet people those libs
I don’t mean any disrespect with this, but the Left was just about as strategic with this (in not having her retire under Obama, as common sense would dictate) as they are with selling the country out to corporations and China, assuming that anything they do will always be on the “right side of history”. Just another example of “magical thinking” verses living in the real world. IMHO
Remember, Hillary wasn’t going to lose.
Hillary wins, RGB retires, Hillary appoints Lynch pursuant to tarmack deal with WJC to make her unsecured server issue go away.
Nominate and shove Amy Barrett through.
Because of the GOPe, the Senate is in question. The least Cocaine Mitch can do is prove the Republicans weren’t entirely worthless.
Why is this Amy Barrett the chosen one? I do not trust any woman at this point.
..you forget brave, fiece texan lady Ms. Powell…..
???Sejmon ? ??
PDJT has much better qualified, likeable and trustworthy people on his list than Amy Barrett. The only woman I would trust at this point is Sidney Powell otherwise stick with the men on his list.
WHY, oh WHY would you expect something like that from Mitch?
WOULD that the,Decepticons were merely “worthless”, which would, to my mind mean “they don’t do anything to HELP PDJT, but they don’t do anything to HURT, either.”
By that definition, Senate Republicons are FAR from worthless! No, Mitch and Lindsey will NOT have confirmation hearings before the election.
Many have speculated the latest scheme involves a contested election, which could end up before SCOTUS.
Ruths passing may be looked back on, as a crucial bit of timing, with historical hindsight.
This is another reason to nominate Rao. She went through a hotly contested confirmation hearing just two or so years ago. Background check completed. Vetted. Only additional grounds for grilling are what she has done on the DC Circuit since then that was controversial.
Hey – who wants to have the nation tune in to a long discussion of the Flynn mandamus?? Yeah, yeah yeah.
Me, me, me! Yeah, thats like a two-fer! Maybe the enemies avoid the discussion, and just confirm her?
Will the enemies, having been burned so badly by their handling of Kavanaugh, “back off”, or double down?
My thinking id double down, as they have exhibited -0- ability to learn, and they seem like the Captain of the Titanic, told he has just hit an Iceberg, ordering “Full speed ahead”!
Just what we need in this election, that promised to be boring and uncontroversial (/S)
this is going to be INSANE!
Dutch,
You need to look at the BIG picture.
There’s nothing left for them to ‘double down’ with. The bank is literally the House[of Representatives]. There’s nowhere to borrow a Trillion or three for another bailout[necessary to funnel $ to (D) states/resistance] at next to 0%[necessary to maintain debt payments on $27T] The Fed is neutered. Mission accomplished. Main St party time.
Main St prosperity[organic growth] will drive Wall St. The ‘mob’ (D) is hemorrhaging their own $$ to suffocate Main St and ICYMI, there’s this little ‘peace’ process thing going on overseas. Not quite the climate for mobsters/extortionists(D) to thrive in anymore. It’s OVER. There’s no contest. Guard the space between the ears. Remember, GIGO.
Always trust God, a rock solid foundation.
This is sanity.
Been awhile since I have been effectively accused of missing the big picture,…but o.k.
I often post ‘see the WHOLE board’, a chess term, which basically MEANS see the Big Picture.
Frankly, I am not sure Conmunism will EVER stop, …even when you do give it a royal beat down, it licks its wounds and comes back more viscious than before.
I DO trust God, and try to guard the few cells if grey matter, still functioning between my ears.
News is probably going to be all RBG, all the time for the next week or so,…and PDJT will probably slip a few things past them, when nobodies looking, lol.
PLEASE let it be Barrett!
Women, conservative, originalist.
The anti-RBG!
1933-2019???
Dems cant catch a break it seems…
Good things happen to good people. What happens to bad people?
So is it possible in the end, it is the Republican RINO Senators that cause CW2 and not the left?
Very likely.
I’m not going to be able to watch the news for a couple days with these comments about all she accomplished and still became a mother, as if no one else had done this in their life.
Judge Jeannine is basically calling her an activist judge who made her decisions based on her beliefs, not the law and precedents.
I can’t recall the opinion, but in one of hers in the last few years, she started out saying, “As I see it…”.
No, it’s not as she “saw” it. It was what the Constitution says.
Stick to OANN.
They’ll be decent but won’t fall all over themselves to glorify her.
Thank you for that tip! I am running out of sane places to go to. If Sundance only covered sports and science. (sigh)
Or right side broadcast network
It’s the only “safe” place left on tv, but there are LOTS of great conservative news sites to browse through daily. CTH is always my #1.
RIP, ma’am.
The new Congress doesn’t sit until Jan 20. The corporate community will see the new Justice through prior to that date.
As much as they value foreign slave labor, their greater fear is a runaway Court that could spell their doom, too.
No, Congress convenes on January 2. The president is sworn in on the 20th.
Jan 3rd 2021
Mr. Larson,
That’ll be a good day. Lord willing, I’ll be “like sixty” both literally and idiomatically that day.
IMHO, I am suspicious of the timing of the release of her death. Reportedly, she was surrounded by family and friends. How long did they know she was gone? Interesting it came out while POTUS is doing a rally. Were they hoping for a crowd cheering response to hurt POTUS and to stir up the Dem base? Also, interesting that Roberts came out today and said that SCOTUS will continue to do Hearings via technology. He must have been told that she was in her final moments.
Also, I think that Schumer and the Dems are waiting for the RINOs to come out and say something stupid – looking at you Murkowski. Schumer will use it against the GOP. He already has a statement out there that is pure politics and didn’t even send his condolences to her passing. Lastly, McConnell is going to have to reign in the GOP Senators and pronto. Any statement that they make can be detrimental to the Senate holding GOP. The Left media is going to go hunting for the GOP Senators to get them to make a stupid statement, mark my words. Turtle better act quickly. If he does not work with POTUS on getting a nominee and start the Hearings process, the GOP Base is going to be furious!
I think this was well known in DC for at least the last two weeks. As you remember, Trump produced that replacement list last week, in the “nick of time”. And Ted Cruz was on it.
And as they say, there are non-coincidences in Washington DC.
Which also indicates that this scenario has been discussed and that there is a plan in place for this eventuality.
Remember also the four senators from earlier this week seen going into the SCIF? Most thought it had to do with the BIG SCAM but it could have been to discuss her imminent death and what would happen.
Cruz was just on Hannity. Actually, I thought Cruz would be a better judge than Senator.
Agree in general. Except that he thought he himself was eligible to be President. Blind spot.
By the way, I thought Amy was left off that recent list PDJT released; I remember looking for her name and not seeing it.
50 votes to confirm. Pence can break a tie.
Yep, don’t need Collins, Murkowski and Delecto. The three stooges.
In a comment earlier in this section, Sundance included Lamar Alexander as a potential problem (no vote until after inauguration).
I also read Sasse is wobbling.
Sasse = #4
Make him do it. Reveal his traitorous *ss.
maybe we can finally have a 5-4 conservative SCOTUS
Take the nominee to a vote.
McConnell just issued a statement saying he would put a nominee up for a vote.
McConnell just released a statement that any Trump nominee WILL get a vote in the Senate.
As for the so-called McConnell rule of not acting in an election year….when McConnell announced it, he clearly said it applied when the Senate and White House were held by opposing parties.
Saddle up!
No, Ruth, you do not get to take your seat with you.
Mitch has reportedly commented a nominee will get a vote in the Senate.
“Sudden passing”
Scheduled
Hidden, for weeks if not months.
New York Magazine writer on msnbc and she is crying. Hubby said “Look, she is crying” I told him just wait til Nov 3rd. It gets even better.m
Actually, my advice to Trump is to announce that he will wait until after the election to nominate a replacement justice. Defang this particular serpent. Don’t give on the fence voters an excuse to not vote for Trump.
NO. The Dems are already committed to cheat in this election. What consideration have the Dems ever given to Trump for 4 years? If they hadn’t been such asses to him for 4 years, maybe, but not now.
Lol
May be a wise move. It’s doubtful the votes are there in the Senate, so a vacancy pushes the momentum in the court to the right.
Pierre Delecto, is that you?
Anyone who thought the DemonRats would massively cheat to win this election before (count me in); now it’s going to be hyper-massive-cheating – if there isn’t a replacement nominated and confirmed before the election.
I figured they’d already had “pulled out all the stops”; but with this, they will find some stops they hadn’t yet pulled, and pull them.
A massively-ugly election will now become even massively’ier ugly.
In another era, that might have been the right thing to do. But look at what the Dems have done to Trump over the last 4 years (RussiaGate, Mueller, Impeachment, Flynn, Kavanaugh). So, the Republican Base isn’t in a mood to be magnanimous, as they have been dragged through the mud too many times. And should Trump lose in November, so goes the SCOTUS pick as well, further demoralizing the Republicans.
And lastly, in a normal year, the reaction of the Left would be to organize massive protests, but with BLM and Antifa about, do you really want hundreds of thousands of people in the Streets? And the destruction that will inevitably follow? So, the Dems may be out of out of bullets at this point.
But, Trump is still going to need to be very strategic about this… IMHO
massively’ier
My new favorite word.
The seat should be filled by October 30. Anyone who tells you they’re undecided is a liar – they know; and the hard core libs aren’t voting for PT anyway.
Wrong. On the fence voters WANT a conservative judiciary. That is what ALL opinions polls said in 2016 after the election when they went to the moderates, especially the women, who had grown lukewarm because of the grabbing tape.
NEGATIVE
Its a good thing President Trump will not know your advice.
so no vote before election Mitch should adjourn the Senate till January. President Trump name a Recess Apointment. Then Mitch calls the Senate back in order to deal with this situation.
No, ram it down their throats now. It is what the dems would do.
I like the way that you think !
Thank you for that tip! I am running out of sane places to go to. If Sundance only covered sports and science. (sigh)
The Devil was calling…….
God is guiding our country right now.
Good tune on that subject which has occurred to me all year! Devil works 24 hours a day!
https://g.co/kgs/bkrnyb
Yeah, yeah, yeah, she’s this, she’s that
I got it, she broke some glass ceilings. That’s cool
But what’s more important, what she accomplished as a woman or what she tried to turn our Republic into?
This is akin to an accomplished general in an army trying to conquer you and your people. You can admire the generals military prowess but you want the general defeated and gone
1. If she gets a funeral, then the VIRUS is OVER. How many times did I have to read that funerals were prohibited around the nation?
2. Mitch’s conundrum:
If he elevates Trump’s nominee before the election and…
a.) Trump wins, then Mitch will have gotten his justice and be in good negotiating position with Trump.
b.) Trump loses, then Mitch will have gotten his justice and also rid himself of Trump.
If he fails to elevate a nominee before the election and…
a.) Trump wins, then Trump will not be a happy camper.
b.) Trump loses, then the Decepticons will NOT vote on Mitch’s justice, and the Commies will subsequently take office and appoint/confirm a communist justice. Not what Mitch wants, regardless of his hatred of Trump.
Above calculus points to closure of the process before Nov 3.
This is why I think Cruz was just put on the short list. He has already been vetted, his positions known. It would be a quick confirmation.
We need Cruz to vote for the nominee.
I see, I hear, and I speak no evil.
I carry no malice within my breast.
And yet without wishing a man to the devil
One may be permitted to hope for the best.
Piet Hein
Rest In Peace, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Though we had diametrically opposing political viewpoints, I have deep respect for your indomitable spirit and unsurpassed work ethic, not to mention your keen wit and sense of humor. Your family has my deepest sympathy.
Again, RIP “Notorious” RBG
Class! A singularly conservative virtue.
McConnell: Trump’s Supreme Court nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate. Well well.
?
Guess that means a nominee is going forward.
Hide the yearbooks!
I am relieved to know that our Senate Majority Leader intends to bring President Trump’s pick to replace RBG (whomever it might be) to a speedy vote for confirmation.
BUT…. hold onto your pants, folks… THINGS ARE GOING TO GET VERY NASTY OVER THIS SELECTION.
You can darn well expect that Decepticon/RINOs (Mitt Romney comes to mind here) are already dipping their bodkins in poison, and angling to attack from behind.
Who else, besides Mitt, will be problematic during this confirmation process?
See Lisa Murkowski
Yup. And Susan Collins makes 3. Which makes a 50/50 tie on the Senate floor IF the nomination gets out of committee.
Paging Mike Pence…
Murkowski because she is not up for re-election.
The rest of the usual suspects are all up for re-election and in tight races – particularly Senators Collins and Graham.
I hope that Sarah Palin heard my plea and decides to run for Murkowski’s Senate seat.
I didn’t hate the judge. I just didn’t agree with her Supreme Court rulings, especially on abortion.
I also didn’t like the awful things she said about President Trump.
But I won’t judge her. She is standing in front of the only Judge that matters right now as all of us will have to do some day. So He will judge her, not
me.
As a Christian I do feel sorry for her family. Their loved one is gone from them. She was a mother and grandmother and I am sure she was loved by them.
The best thing I will say about her is that she had a remarkable life and she suffered through some pretty horrible medical conditions in her old age.
She had to be a pretty tough woman to go through all that.
RIP Ruth. May God have mercy on your soul.
Her rulings were pre-determined based on her political agenda. She had NO business playing the role of a Supreme Court Justice.
True. But look at how the other two women vote also.
I disagree with Satan and those who work for him. She hated the Constitution of the USA. She was a big advocate for the slaughter of babies in the womb.
I hope that she is having a great time kneeling before the Ultimate Judge defending her pro-abortion position. She had no respect for God and the lives that he created. Why should God have mercy on her soul? Maybe he will but why should he?
Up to Him.
you ARE absolutely correct.
and yes…God would not save this one. this was not someone who aborted A CHILD.
THIS is someone who made it legal and status quo.
step back and think and pray about that for a moment or two.
MILLIONS OF HUMAN BEINGS MURDERED and made “legal” with so much as a intellectual game show circus.
God will not be mocked.
there is sin… and there is a inatitutionalizing it…making it.”normal”.
how does God reconcile this kind of sin?
fiercely and with no mercy..
God speaks to this kind of sin.
it is the most depraved act against the very purpose of the Creator.
millions dead… rivers of blood…
life murdered
who was there to defend the child?
who is there to serve justice for the cold blooded murder.
if this had been the nuremberg trials… Ginsburg would have exceeded any of the worst villains.
and yes…she accomplished as a jewish mother..
let THAT sink in.
this world is better off with THAT psychopath dead..
Arlington is for heroes… those who sacrificed themselves that others may live.
she will defile that honorary cemetery on so many levels.
Valid point but as I said MAY He have mercy on her soul. It is up to Him if He does, not any of us. I would like to think that she had major guilt and asked for forgiveness of her complicity in the many millions of deaths of unborn babies as she lay dying.
But if we are to believe she really said the words about not replacing her until a new President is elected,it looks as though she didn’t have a change of heart and conscience. Will it ever be verified this statement is true or just a ploy cooked up by Dems to play on everyone’s sympathies and to keep the Antifa and BLM riled up and rioting.
So if true it means also Ruth was still playing politics while she was dying. Kind of like John McCain who arose from his death bed to make it to the senate in time to vote with his thumb down against repealing the Obama Care ac,t just to stick it to President Trump.
A few Crown Royals into my celebration –
I am old enough to remember in Feb-2012 when this anti-American / anti-Constitution steaming pile of crapola said this when Egypt was looking to re-formulate their constitution, in essence –
“That I would not recommend the U.S. Constitution as a model for Egypt’s new government.”
Further –
“The problem, you see, is that the U.S. Constitution is “a rather old constitution.” Ginsburg suggested that Egyptians should look instead to the Constitution of South Africa or perhaps the European Convention on Human Rights. All these are “much more recent than the U.S. Constitution.”

You were a disgrace to the court, giving your political agenda priotity over the law. Enjoy your time in eternal hell!
Oh, and L’Shana Tova everyone!!
Best statement of the night, it even motivated me to crack my bottle of crown I’ve been saving for the election…I toast with you to whatever circle of hell she’s been sent to…
She can tend to the 25 million babies that were aborted during her term.
Yes!
Just saw a blurb on Fox News attributed to McConnell
“President Trump’s nominee will receive a full vote on the Senate floor”
Warp 10!
Full speed ahead
I’m so confused. I thought Mitch was one of the bad guys. Can bogeyfree or someone help me unwrap this? What’s his game? And, Sundance, how does this affect the election? I’m just a naive non American.
Mitch is corrupt as H377.
BUT….Mitch likes a moderately conservative SCOTUS so is doing all he can to approve judges who are right of center.
However I tend to believe (without any proof whatsoever but knowing how he operates) that Mitch might prefer to approve only justices who can be “controlled” by leveraging some dark secret in their past….
I wondered why Mitch, who is so corrupt on other things, could be so steadfast about nominating conservative judges and justices. One night, I happened to watch the Frontlines documentary, Supreme Revenge. You have to tolerate some PBS spin, but it is a very informative and fascinating look at the history of Mitch McConnell — and why after Bork, the judiciary became a very personal cause for him — even if it ends up being supportive of President Trump as well…
Good reference. Thanks!
Mitch is up for election.
And that is a factor….
Center-right judges are some of the red meat the RINOs toss to conservative and libertarian leaning Republicans to keep them in the party.
Mitch’s legacy is more important than anything.
Mitch is unreliable on a bunch on things, and borderline RINO, but he is generally solid on confirming conservative judges. Yes, there are many problems with Senator McConnell, but when it comes to confirming Trump’s judicial nominations MM does quite well.
Easy, Mitch is up for re-election.
IMO if he doesn’t move PT nominee to a vote then Mitch goes down and at 78 his career is over!
Plus Mitch is all about collecting political chips. This might give him a big one.
MItch can argue, especially to his RINOs, that any election dispute should be decided a full court. Just the possibility of any 4-4 split, even though the court may appear to be 5-3 conservative now, would be terrible. Might sway enough wobblers in the GOP caucus.
Also, a 4-4 split SCOTUS vote does not always help POTUS. It then could go back to the lower courts’ rulings which may or may not be in POTUS’s favor.
Exactly… Any rulings to settle the contested election, which is certainly coming, will eventually end up in front of the SC…
Are you saying that any upcoming 4-4 split on controversial issues could have been a 4-5 loss without this development? At least there is a fighting chance now.
Are you saying that any upcoming 4-4 split on controversial issues could have been a 4-5 loss without this development? At least there is a fighting chance now.
This is actually very true. All Americans should want a contested election decided by a full court. Dems have made no secret of their plans to contest any win by President Trump, and cheat by mail will result in President Trump contesting a Biden result. We really do need the vacancy filled. Dems created the near certainty of another Bush v Gore. Now they can eat the result of their pronouncements.
Just breaking, McConnell will allow a vote on the President’s nominee in the Senate. Pressure shifts to Graham and the decepticons. I say bring it on. Let the left throw their tantrums again a la Kavanaugh. Let the RINO’s expose themselves. All cards on the table, declassify all relevant documents, total sunlight going into the election.
If Trump picks a sitting appellate justice, the background checks have already been done and the nominee has already had a confirmation hearing. Other than rulings since ascending the appellate bench, there wouldn’t be anything else the Senae needed to know, or so Graham and McConnell can argue.
Bite my tongue, Bite my tongue, Bite my tongue, Bite my tongue.
OK,
My President Trump should be magnanimous and give Justice Ginsberg a 30 day period of mourning before nominating the next justice. He should make it 28 days retro active and nominate his pick on Monday morning.
No, I’d rather bathe in Dem tears.
Yeah!!! We all have been living like human piñatas for the past 4 years, with no way to defend ourselves. It is time to hit back and enjoy the show this time around.
30 days? pffffffffftttttttttt
a week at most
It’s a fast-moving world these days
keep up
Re-read Rix Six’s post. You’ll agree with him prolly.
thx for tipping me, Texas, I’m slow on the uptake sometimes
lo siento, Rix
Rix Six and Nim ,
You Two ?
we just tusslin’ in the Treehouse rumpus room
I pray that she repented her sins in her final moments and passed in peace. I wasn’t exactly her biggest fan.
Now, I’ll pile on with many others. Democrats have already promised to end the filibuster and pack the court. If Trump wins and R’s keep the Senate, then it will just be a typical hellscape nomination process. If Trump loses and R’s keep the Senate, Mitch wins. He can line his pocket because he can’t hold it open 4 years. If Trump and R’s lose the Senate, Mitch still might win, but his sale price will be lower (unless there’s a crazy split in the Dems). Even though a floor vote was just announced, I’ll take the position Mitch looks out for Mitch first. I mean hell, maybe he’s calculated rushing the floor vote backlashes on Trump, causes a Senate loss, and he gets to play deal maker.
You failed to mention the Civil War if the Democrats manage to steal the election !
Oh Lordy.
She gets accolades from Rs, yet I’m old enough to remember when Scalia died & the left celebrated.
Democrats have no class. They are evil and Godless people.
Scalia passionately disagreed with Ginsburg’s judicial philosophy and opinions — but he respected and liked her as a friend and colleague. If he were the one still alive, no matter how the left dishonored him, he would honor her passing and mourn the loss of a friend.
Scalia would have honored her but he died first with a pillow on his head. I’m looking at you John Brennan.
Need a Star of David for the graphic, I think.
Yeah. SD, please update.
Respect.
Npr reported her last words were “don’t let this president replace me ” the CRAZY has started! I don’t see the feckless RINO’s doing the right thing.? pray I’m wrong.
Well, I’d say that God *trumped* her wishes on that one. Sela vie.
Well, atleast I know where I’ll be taking a Pee break on my next trip thru the Arlington area !
RIP. Don’t you know all the liberals are freaking out that this happened before the election.
Now when fraudulent election results go to the Supreme Court it will be a 4-4 decision with Roberts on the wrong side.
There are reports that Roberts’ liberal bent is due to blackmail. President Trump needs to do a little research in the NSA database (just like “Born in Kenya” 0bama and all the pResident’s men did). And then President Trump needs to send Rudy Giuliani to make an offer to Roberts that he can’t refuse. I keep waiting for President Trump to also do this for some RINO senators.
I like the way you think …
… deviously
Too bad she never believed in the constitution that she was sworn to uphold. To the left, this was a virtue. From what I understand, the only thing she really believed in was abortion. May she rest in peace.
?
yay!
that’s all, just “yay!”
One of McConnell’s problems is that he can’t keep his people in DC for long days in committee and senate sessions because the GOP senators up for re-election need to be back in their states campaigning.
yes..exactly…
Quickly Vote yes or lose time campaigning.
Oh…btw… if you vote no you probably will lose your election 🙂
They would rally their supporters back home by getting this replacement in the SCOTUS. That’s what they are there to do, not drive around in a limo and blow smoke up people’s asses all day
Believe me; they will work that little snag out; because this is a really big deal.
If they play this right, we will win the White House, Keep the Senate and Take the House.
It’s imperative that all R’s play nice.
I say nominate the most conservative black woman jurist in the country the day after Ginsburg’s funeral. Make the confirmation process Project Warp Speed 2.
That said, one year ago, shortly after my 37-year-old daughter, mother-of-two, and one of the world’s most wonderful people, was diagnosed with cancer (liposarcoma), she heard a speech by RBG that gave her courage and hope. I will always be grateful.
My daughter has recovered and all scans clear so far.
Rest in peace, RBG… and thanks for that well-timed inspiration.
Too bad Janice Rogers Brown is 71.
Exactly what I was thinking, Sentient!
Doesn’t have to be a lawyer iirc. Candace Owens or Kim Klacik would be ok with me.
Oh Coolmamie wonderful news about your daughter! Praying her scans continue to be clean!
So tired of identity politics. STOP PLAYING THE LEFT’S GAMES! Skin color should have 0.0 influence on the position; pick the best qualified candidate. PERIOD.
“Should” and “does” are two different things. I am tired of Republicans being purist to the point of stupidity. Besides, I happen to believe there are perfectly well-qualified conservative black women jurists. It is wise to appoint people of diverse background and ethnicity. A good, helpful, unifying practice.
Ok, now Biden will be forced to bring forth a list of potential justices. I believe he will bring forth one name…Barrack Obama. Ya’ heard it here first.
Nothing but a shameless effort to hold together his base.
Obama would uphold the constitutionality of drone-striking the entire earth.
Braaaaaaaaack is a gen-yoooo-wine compstitutional scholar, he’ll have you know!
??and ??, all at the same time. How’d you do that!?
scrambling Eisen Team Six
Wonder who the other conservative judges would best get along with? Unity goes a long way—I’ll sure be praying. God knows the best person for the long-haul.??

If McConnell follows the constitutional process, we in the media will encourage riots, which our base will then execute.
Yes, we know.

So just more of the same
That is all they got.
And vigilantes peacefully counter protesting the rioters.
But if we jam through a BOGUS IMPEACHMENT you all should accept that as a part of the Democratic process. However, we will RIOT if you if you do anything we disagree with. So, ultimately the final arbiter in the United States is the MOB according to Democrats. (sigh)

@LEBassett
If McConnell jams someone through, which he will, there will be more riots.
Somebody should let Laura know that there already are riots. She is quite the Nostradamus.
lol!
I think Trump thought Kavanaugh’s nomination was going to be easy, he picked him because he was just right of centre. This time he know’s whoever he picks the Dems will go after with everything they have, so might as well pick Amy Barrett.
