“Similarly with Benghazi, as has been recounted on many occasions, I provided the best information that the U.S. government had at the time,” she said. “Parts of it turned out to be wrong. I regret that the information I was provided was wrong and that I delivered to the American people. That doesn’t make me a liar. That makes me a public servant trying to say what we knew at the time and when I gave that information I caveated it and noted that it was what we knew then and there, but it could well change.” (link)
Of course the obvious follow-up is “why didn’t you know”?
There exists a mountain of evidence from both the military and intelligence community to show there are numerous reasons to be wary of PFC Bergdahl’s disappearance.
Unless, as we have asserted from the very beginning, that evidence was ignored because the entire construct of the “Save Bergdahl narrative” was produced for political reasons.
Susan Rice taking the “I didn’t know” approach, yet again, shows a fundamental disconnect and disinterest between the White House’s goals and facts which would undermine their objective.
Much like the reality of Benghazi, if requested the intelligence -Bergdahl files- was there for the reading.
It was a specific and intentional decision to ignore those files, and instead create a false narrative upon a mountain of political obfuscation.
Now you are left dealing with the consequences.
