Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Aaron Burr
(1756-1836)
3rd US Vice President (D-R: 1801-05) who killed Alexander Hamilton in a pistol duel, dies at 80
Biography: Aaron Burr was an American politician who served as the Vice President of the United States (1801-1805). He is best known for his feud with Alexander Hamilton that ended in a pistol duel which Burr won, killing Hamilton.
Burr initially practiced law in New York City after serving as an officer in the American Revolutionary War. He then entered into politics, serving as Attorney General of New York (1789-1791) and as a member of the New York State Assembly (1784-1785). In 1791, Burr left behind state politics when he was elected as Senator for New York in which role he served until 1797.
Burr then entered into the 1800 presidential election, in which he tied with Thomas Jefferson in the electoral college. This was settled by the House of Representatives, with Jefferson assuming the presidency and Burr serving as his vice president.

William McKinley
(1843-1901)
25th US President (Republican: 1897-1901), dies in Buffalo at 58, after being shot 8 days earlier by anarchist Leon Czolgosz
Biography: McKinley previously served as the Governor of Ohio before becoming the 25th President of the United States. He served as president from March 4, 1897, until his assassination in September 1901, six months into his second term.
McKinley won the presidency during a time of deep economic depression, and rapid economic recovery was the hallmark of his term. McKinley supported tariffs, such as the Dingley Tariff in 1897, which helped protect manufacturers from foreign competition. He also maintained the nation on the gold standard in a rejection of inflationary proposals.
In foreign affairs he led the nation in the Spanish–American War, which ended in a decisive American victory and gained the nation control of the Spanish colonies of Puerto Rico, Guam and the Philippines. In 1898 the US annexed the Kingdom of Hawaii and it became a US territory.
In 1900 McKinley won re-election. Six months into his term, on September 6, 1901, he was shot by Leon Czolgosz, a Polish-American anarchist. He died eight days later and was succeeded by Theodore Roosevelt.

I even named my first snake Swayze, as he was gorgeous, sinuous, sleek and athletic.
I cried when Patrick died.
I am one year and 11 days older than Patrick.

Hard to believe.
You said it was Elvis not long ago. Does one outrank the other or is it a tie? Glad you said ‘next to Gus’ this time, I was starting to worry for Gus!
Well, Jake, I guess I shoulda said Elvis was the sexiest singer.
Swayze was the sexiest dancer.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him

Steve Goodman was born on July 25, 1948, passed away on September 20th, 1984. A beloved of Chicago…the Cubs and trainfolks…he wrote the City of New Orleans somewhere around 1970, Arlo learned it in 1972 I think, in the back of the “Quiet Knight” nightclub up on Belmont…
This coming Sunday is the anniversary of his, Steve Goodman’s, passing…so am posting this one, here in his advance honor…I missed his birthday…and I don’t want to forget this…its a way old video…
Worth the listen, old one…the song of every Cubs fan…beyond Go Cubs Go!

He also wrote David Allen Coe’s ‘You Never Even Called Me by My Name’. Coe mentions his ‘good friend Steve Goodman’ wrote it in the ‘Best country and western song ever’ version.

EACH DAY WE TAKE UP THE OFFENSIVE WEAPON OF THE WORD OF GOD – THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT – ONE VERSE OPENS THE DOOR TO THE CONTEXT OF THE CHAPTER MESSAGE
Verse of the Day for Monday, September 14, 2026
✟
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
COMMENTARY FOR EPHESIANS 3
The apostle sets forth his office, and his qualifications for it, and his call to it. (1-7) Also the noble purposes answered by it. (8-12) He prays for the Ephesians. (13-19) And adds a thanksgiving. (20,21)
1-7 For having preached the doctrine of truth, the apostle was a prisoner, but a prisoner of Jesus Christ; the object of special protection and care, while thus suffering for him. All the gracious offers of the gospel, and the joyful tidings it contains, come from the rich grace of God; it is the great means by which the Spirit works grace in the souls of men. The mystery, is that secret, hidden purpose of salvation through Christ. This was not so fully and clearly shown in the ages before Christ, as unto the prophets of the New Testament. This was the great truth made known to the apostle, that God would call the Gentiles to salvation by faith in Christ. An effectual working of Divine power attends the gifts of Divine grace. As God appointed Paul to the office, so he qualified him for it.
8-12 Those whom God advances to honourable employments, he makes low in their own eyes; and where God gives grace to be humble, there he gives all other needful grace. How highly he speaks of Jesus Christ; the unsearchable riches of Christ! Though many are not enriched with these riches; yet how great a favour to have them preached among us, and to have an offer of them! And if we are not enriched with them it is our own fault. The first creation, when God made all things out of nothing, and the new creation, whereby sinners are made new creatures by converting grace, are of God by Jesus Christ. His riches are as unsearchable and as sure as ever, yet while angels adore the wisdom of God in the redemption of his church, the ignorance of self-wise and carnal men deems the whole to be foolishness.
13-19 The apostle seems to be more anxious lest the believers should be discouraged and faint upon his tribulations, than for what he himself had to bear. He asks for spiritual blessings, which are the best blessings. Strength from the Spirit of God in the inner man; strength in the soul; the strength of faith, to serve God, and to do our duty. If the law of Christ is written in our hearts, and the love of Christ is shed abroad there, then Christ dwells there. Where his Spirit dwells, there he dwells. We should desire that good affections may be fixed in us. And how desirable to have a fixed sense of the love of God in Christ to our souls! How powerfully the apostle speaks of the love of Christ! The breadth shows its extent to all nations and ranks; the length, that it continues from everlasting to everlasting; the depth, its saving those who are sunk into the depths of sin and misery; the height, its raising them up to heavenly happiness and glory. Those who receive grace for grace from Christ’s fulness, may be said to be filled with the fulness of God. Should not this satisfy man? Must he needs fill himself with a thousand trifles, fancying thereby to complete his happiness?
20,21 It is proper always to end prayers with praises. Let us expect more, and ask for more, encouraged by what Christ has already done for our souls, being assured that the conversion of sinners, and the comfort of believers, will be to his glory, for ever and ever.
Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

Amen.

SERVANT OF ALL
Who is the greatest boxer of all time
Who bragged he was a superstar so sublime
Who was the runner who outran the rest
Who clocked in his time as the very best
Who was the richest man recently noted
Who had wealth so vast – ego so bloated
Who was the most famous movie star of all
Pardon me – please – I really cannot recall
When will the first be the last you ask
For many are called and taken to task
Who are the few that are chosen to be
Elevated by God – for eternity
It is the man with a humble, contrite heart
Who repents of his sin from the very start
His head hung in sorrow – he fervently pleads
He knows it’s forgiveness – he surely needs
He who gives thanks for blessings each day
Is well aware of what Father would say
If he took the choicest in life as his own
Shared neither his wealth nor what he had sown
If each seat taken was the best in the house
First and foremost – and forever the louse
Would his mansion in Heaven be the best
Or would the fiery furnace be eternal rest
Are we like the man who was hung on the tree
Are we poor, humble, and as kind as He
Compassionate, loving, and caring toward all
Gentle, long-suffering – virtually – on call
Do we look for attention at every turn
Is it fame and fortune for which we yearn
Do we take the first seat or sit in the last
Are we meek and humble – securely steadfast
The greatest of all is not one who’s achieved
The best and the brightest are not conceived
It’s the few who – among many – He will call
The greatest will be the servant of all

The Magnificat
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.

Nowhere Left to Run: A Warning to America
“If we lose Her on our watch, there’s nowhere left to run… No second chance for liberty beneath a dying sun.” Freedom isn’t lost all at once—it’s eroded when we stop paying attention on our watch. This driving 1970s-style acoustic country-folk ballad is an urgent wake-up call about foreign influence, subversion, and the irreplaceable cost of American liberty. America was bought with sacred sacrifice and dedicated to God. Stand guard, wake up, and defend the land of liberty! Share this track with someone who needs to hear the warning.

I just heard the CRAZIEST thing. Churches are “turning unwanted guns into garden tools”
Serious as a heart attack. Some scripture that says “beating swords into plowshares” Ephesians 4:28 and 1 Thessalonians 4:11
Here, Indianapolis… this Saturday. They’re going to take your guns… no questions asked… dismantle them… destroy them… and make garden ornaments out of them. In return, they’ll give food or gasoline gift cards.
