The Office of the Comptroller of Currency has released the final report after investigating the banking practices of nine major institutions based on over 100,000 examples of banks refusing business based on politics and worldviews.
[OCC PRESS RELEASE HERE]
“Today’s report provides irrefutable evidence that the nation’s largest banks have denied, debanked and discriminated against customers and lawful businesses”…
WASHINGTON—The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today released a report of its findings from its supervisory review of debanking activities at the nine largest national banks it supervises: JPMorgan Chase Bank, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo Bank, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC Bank, TD Bank, and BMO Bank.
The OCC conducted its supervisory review in accordance with the President’s Executive Order, “Guaranteeing Fair Access to Banking for All Americans,” to determine whether these banks’ policies or practices may have required, encouraged, or otherwise influenced banks to deny or limit access to financial services to Americans because of their political or religious beliefs or lawful business activities. The OCC’s findings show that, between 2020 and September 2025, all nine banks had such policies.
“Today’s report provides irrefutable evidence that the nation’s largest banks have denied, debanked and discriminated against customers and lawful businesses,” said Comptroller of the Currency Jonathan V. Gould. “Americans should have access to financial services regardless of their beliefs, affiliations, or political views. Fair access to financial services is not a mantra—it is a mandate. The Trump Administration is committed to ending the weaponization of finance against hardworking Americans, once and for all.”
In the report, the OCC found that broad reputation risk policies—which lacked clear standards and objective, risk-based criteria—disadvantaged certain Americans based on their political, religious, or social views or based on their lawful business activities. The OCC also found that banks maintained public and nonpublic policies restricting certain industry sectors’ access to financial services, including those in oil and gas exploration, coal mining or coal-powered plants, firearms or ammunition manufacturing or distribution, construction or operation of detention facilities, the manufacturing, distribution or online retail of tobacco or e-cigarettes, and digital asset activities.
In preparing the report, the OCC reviewed nearly 100,000 complaints to OCC-regulated institutions and received approximately 50,000 documents consisting of approximately 420,000 pages from these banks regarding their policies, procedures, practices, and individual customer decisions. (more)

That’s all very nice and interesting, and something we all know was happening, but the big question is “what is going to be done about it? What will be the sanctions and/or repercussions?”
We won’t know until after the midterm installments. Tic Toc Run Out The Clock
We know victims of bank discrimination don’t need a report on how they got screwed and who else got screwed… They deserve full compensation, punitive damages and to see executives at banks that did the screwing go to prison.
Please let this actually go somewhere,!
If this happened in Russia…
You’d get Putin jail 🙂
Does all 9 major banks illegally discriminating in the same ways qualify as a vast conspiracy? RICO prosecutions?
Hoping they discover links to some of our politicians on the senate banking committee headed by Pocahontas. We need scalps.
Another conspiracy theory morphs into an actual conspiracy.
How about treble damages?
President Trump filed a $5 billion lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase and its CEO Jamie Dimon on January 22, 2026, alleging the bank illegally closed his accounts for political reasons.
The suit, filed in Miami-Dade County state court, claims the bank engaged in “debanking” shortly after the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot to distance itself from Trump’s conservative views.
The complaint asserts JPMorgan Chase violated Florida trade practices laws through trade libel and breach of contract, and placed Trump and his businesses on a reputational “blacklist.”
This may help that case now that the evidence is in. JPM and Dimon may want to settle for millions now.
And the Trump Organization sued Capital One for debanking last year, so they may also want to settle for millions.
Trump can’t let them settle. Cases need to be litigated to ensure they cannot do it again.
Nowhere in this report does it have the words insufficient income but I’m sure that was the excuse used by the banks for denying banking services.
I’d like to order a RICO please. Extra prosecutions on the side.
Funny, Trump is still being called a fascist, all the while Stupid Joe Biden was the actual practitioner.
I’ve been looking for one more reason to stop banking with one of these banks (WF). Time to do some de banking on my own. Plenty of other options out there.
I suggest a Credit Union. That’s where I’ve been for decades. No regrets.
I notice an emerging trend from the Trump administration, taking stabs at the globalist banking cartel. The central banks were always the primum mobile of the globalist communism movement. Refusing to let NATO have their debt-erasing war with Russia, and now forcing US banks into legal compliance is throwing the cartel off-balance. You can bet they’ll be trying to kill our President again. What I’m hoping to see is a dissolution of the Federal Reserve and a return to the gold standard. That would eject the US from the western market system altogether, leaving the UK and EU to finish their economic collapse on their own. I imagine this is why the UK is so desperate to rejoin the EU, as a hedge against such a mortal economic blow.
FAFO. BoA first to be fined. More to come.
The libs will cry foul, but there will be instances, more aligned against the right, but instances of many Americans being discriminated against. There’s a reason no examples were given: the media will hoot and holler, and then evidence will be brought to the front of the room. Feet will have to be removed from mouths.
But once again, a thing the Democrats said wasn’t happening has been proven to be happening. Imagine that.
Just following the templet they see in China. Must figure if the CCP can do it, we can too.
Or maybe, just maybe … the same people behind what is happening in China is behind what is happening here in the USA (& around the world).
Any victims of this discrimination should be compensated by the banks.
Aaaaaand….no one will be held accountable.
Modern fascism. The WEF BBB crowd pulled out all the weapons.
The autopen regime, under direction of in-house BlackRock operatives, fully approved.
10+ years later we get a strongly worded report.
WTF
Handcuffed on their way to jail is what we should get from the Department of Injustice /s
Running out the clock of the statue of limitations is the Marxist way
Will this be akin to a congressional investigation? (Which means it’s a nothing burger.)
