Hi john – that was me making mention of my evening activity….. I’ve had this little guy for about twelve years now and it suits my abilities and needs pretty well. Any comments you might have would very likely increase my understanding!! 🙂 The FIRST mistake I made after I got it (and was so proud of it) was to drop it into light conversation with friends, wanting to share about my new log splitter.

A lot of the radio people on the right have dismissed what I believe to be legitimate concerns regarding the data centers, you almost never hear the noise levels discussed, but those who have been around them state that is huge.
We probably need them, somewhere, somehow, but putting them in areas where people live doesn’t seem advisable. Nor do I like the idea of even more of our diminishing farmland being utilized for this purpose.
There has to be a middle ground, where you can acknowledge both the need and the concerns.
In addition, I presume the magnetic field around all that power must be huge….like the high power electrical wires.
IF only we could see with our eyes or with some other tool the size of the magnetic fields all around us…..

I don’t know what to believe. My 79 year old mother recently bought a Tesla Model Y. I was very skeptical about the self driving. After using her Tesla I’m now a believer. The car drives like a very good human driver is driving. It’s mind blowing ! Musk is counting on his Optimis humanoid robots to build just about everything he’s going to build. So I don’t know how much the super intelligence is a threat but many millions of humans will lose their jobs in the not too distant future. I fear the disruption of society. When elites don’t need very many people I believe the doom predictions of mass population reduction may come true. Let’s all pray AI brings great benefits to all and not death.
