With President Trump anticipated to deliver a national address on foreign interference in the U.S. election system on Thursday night, the President’s nominee to fill the role of Director of National Intelligence takes place in the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
The Committee Chairman is Tom Cotton, the SSCI Vice-Chairman is Mark Warner. Warner is against the nomination for DNI and strongly opposing any effort by the Executive Branch to influence the Intelligence Community. Livestream Links Below:

hadn’t heard of him; he was the head of the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) under Trump-45, then, under Trump-47 he was put in as lead attorney at the SDNY (Southern District New York) after Comey’s daughter was removed.
Those are good background experiences.
The RINOs want him. Must be a bad pick.
…………Mark Warner. Warner is against the nomination for DNI…………
Warner and his ilk will be against anyone that has not come up through the DC swamp & silo system. Especially an outsider with any sort of investigative experience like SEC and SDNY.
the senate can
t do anything productive...but theyre in a damned hurry to get pulte out and clayton in…..that should tell you all you need to know about clayton…..my guess?…another bill barr…mueller…chris wray…
As good as litmus paper.
From boarding school chem teacher decades ago: “Red to Blue: Al-ca-loo; Blue to Red: A$$-ed”.
Warner’s hands are not clean. Therefore, anyone who is competent and who can not be kept on a short leash is a clear and present danger to him.
Apparently, he is not proud of his shenanigans and he does not want them to become public knowledge.
If Warner is against him, he’s the perfect guy for the job.
Be sure to very carefully vet the next titular head of national intelligence.
James Jesus Angleton (CIA Chief of Counterintelligence):
In the mid-1970s, when Hersh questioned him about alleged CIA domestic spying and wrongdoing (during the period of the Church Committee investigations, which also touched on JFK-related matters), Angleton replied something like: “A mansion has many rooms and there were many things going on during the period.” That was about compartmentalization and hidden operations in the Agency.

Amazing Statement Of Congressional Impotence By Senate Intelligence Chairman Jay Rockefeller
April 24, 2007
http://www.tinyrevolution.com/mt/archives/001436.html
DAVIS: I wonder if you’ve heard some of these news reports that the Bush administration is backing extremist groups in Pakistan to launch attacks against Iran? Are you familiar with those news reports?
ROCKEFELLER: I’ve seen no intelligence that would verify that.
DAVIS: Reports quote administration officials as saying this is going on and it’s being done in a way to avoid oversight of the Intelligence Committee. Is there any way—
ROCKEFELLER: They’ll go to any lengths to do that, as we’ve seen in the last two days [during hearings on FISA].
DAVIS: Is there anything you could do in your position as Chairman of the Intelligence Committee to find answers about this, if it is in fact going on?
ROCKEFELLER: Don’t you understand the way Intelligence works? Do you think that because I’m Chairman of the Intelligence Committee that I just say I want it, and they give it to me? They control it. All of it. All of it. All the time. I only get, and my committee only gets, what they want to give me.

On January 3, 2017 (aired/discussed around January 4), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said this during an interview on MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show: “Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

“Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I’m not guessing at that. They’ve told me that — including people on the intel committee, including people who run the intel committee.” – Tucker Carlson
This confirmation should go quickly.
Most Senators want the Acting DNI’s actions to come to an end ASAP. Too much evidence of chicanery inside DC and IC being revealed.
“The Committee Chairman is Tom Cotton, the SSCI Vice-Chairman is Mark Warner. Warner is against the nomination for DNI and strongly opposing any effort by the Executive Branch to influence the Intelligence Community.”
Just think of it, the President, the Commander in Chief who has the responsibility of leading the nation in war is not supposed to be able to martial every aspect of the national defense, which includes intelligence assets?
The President is not supposed to be able to select and work with the men and women who will do these jobs?
Just “check with Mark Warner first?”
I don’t think so!
The Dems and RINOs want Pulte out of there fast. Clayton will sail through.
I am hoping Trump has put this Clayton nominee to the test of Tulsi Gabbard OK. She would know better than most who is her best replacement. I pray Trump has vetted t his guy thoroughly Too important a position for screw up.
Despite Warner’s delusional deceptions, the IC is not a separate branch of government. They fall UNDER the oversight and control of the Executive Branch. The President is the supreme authority of the EXECUTIVE BRANCH. FO Mark.
